Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali xl. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact received the recall notification in july of 2016. The dealer (garlyn shelton buick gmc, 5625 s general bruce dr a, temple, tx 76502) stated that the parts were not available. Takata recallits been over 2 years since the recal has been issued.gm still has not determined a resolution to the problem.they were given until august 2017 to find a resolution.now nearly a year later they have done nothing to resolve the issue and continue to put their consumers lives at risk to save money.this is beyond unacceptable.the nhtsa needs to finally step up and force them to actually do something to rectify the issue before more people are injured or killed.

"takata recall" there is no reason why this has not been remedied yet! by general motors or takata (which is now going bankrupt!) i feel unsafe driving around a vehicle with defective safety equipment! there is no solution and i've contacted dealers!

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali xl. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 16v383000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact received the recall notification in july of 2016. The dealer (mcguire chevrolet cadillac, 63 hampton house rd, newton, nj 07860) stated that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was notified and confirmed that the parts were not available. There was no guaranteed date for when the parts would arrive. The contact had not experienced a failure. I'm writing this as just like loads of other people are having the same issue. I have both a 07 yukon denali and an 07 silverado 2500 both have the exact same issue. The denali is the worst. Cracked dashboard. I'm worried that if i was to have an accident and the passenger airbag was to deploy that sharp pierces of the dashboard will go flying towards the people in the vehicle. Gm really should be doing a recall on this as it is a common issue right through all the vechiles that share the same dashboard. Seems lately every week the cracks get worse. I'm waiting for the day the dashboard falls to pieces. It started around april but since then the dash has fallen to pieces so much since then.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali xl.while driving 70 mph, the contact crashed into a guardrail.the vehicle rolled over five times and none of the air bags deployed.the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer.the current and failure mileages were 33,000.updated 11/7/08 updated 11/13/08.

I have received paperwork july 2016 stating that my inflators are defective according to takata.the wording states their defective operation due to degradation could result in "rupture during deployment, causing serious or fatal injuries."on the same notice, gm states they will notify me when parts are available.they also state my vehicle is "safe to drive".first of all, this is ridiculous that gm is allowed to cover themselves by sending out such a contradictory letter.i have followed up in july 2016, october 2016, and now aug. 2017.i am continually told there is no problem, but there are also no parts available yet for a repair.........now, in an attempt to sell the vehicle, potential customers are looking up the vin, seeing this related information and telling me they can't buy it from me without me repairing it, or they can't pay near my asking price.so..... I have a vehicle my wife doesn't like to drive, i can't fix it because the dealer says there are no parts and they aren't required to do anything yet because nhtsa is giving them more time, and i can't easily sell the vehicle because it comes up on this listing in a vin search regardless of whether it is safe to drive or not.absolute garbage treatment of me by both parties.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali xl. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer (dutton motor company, 8201 auto dr, riverside, ca 92504, (951) 687-2020) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recalltakata airbag inflator recall since may 2016 and no remedy has been offered.it's dangerous to drive with my wife and children since this is our primary vehicle.gm should provide us with a rental vehicle or replacement vehicle until the solution is available to fix.

My headlights just went out when driving. My high beam, and fog lights do work, however.i still have not received my passenger air bag on the recall.

Could not get the recall repaired as the company that makes the air bag is no longer in business.takata.a failure of the front air bags or seat belt pretensioners to deploy in the event of a crash necessitating deployment

2007 gmc denali yukon xl service air bags warning displayed intermittently after about 40k, after about 75k came on continuously.dealer replaced a driver seat sensor, costing $ 400.he mentioned seat connector on harness to seat was broken and usually happens at a car wash or something else gets under the seat.also mentioned while the warning message is displayed, airbags will or may not deploy and would be a danger to short people who have the seat fully forward.it sounds like a common problem that this dealer knows about.all gm cars that have this system should be recalled and fixed with a reliable connector.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali xl. The contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Takata recall:my local gm dealer refuses to acknowledge that they are responsible for repairing my defective airbag. I have contacted them multiple times, and they say they currently have no remedy for the recall. I guess the fact that my airbag warning light is on is a pure coincidence, as well. I just received a second notice that takata, the airbag manufacturing company is now filing chapter 11 bankruptcy. The notice says to immediately contact my car's manufacturer to have the problem remedied. I feel like this will be a lost cause considering they want to charge me $112 to diagnose my vehicle's airbag warning light. Just another example of gm's "impeccable" service. I feel like we're stuck between a rock and a hard place and my family's lives are at stake. We also had an infiniti with the same problem and they promptly and professionally handled the situation. This has not been my experience with gm.

The top of the dash has three cracks, two behind the steering wheel & gauge cluster and one by the passenger airbag door. In researching i see that this is becoming more and more common on the tahoe, yukon, escalade and assorted gm trucks in the 2007-2011 range. In some cases, mine in particular, the cracks have gotten quite large and jagged to the point that pieces of the dash are loose and could become projectiles or affect the airbag in the event of a crash.it is extremely concerning and gm should stand behind their products and recall these defective dashboards.this does not look good for gm and if something is not done i will not invest in another gm product.

Deadline for airbag recall decision was aug 2017.gm has failed to come up with a recall, solution, or plan to drivers.what is the final answer?are these vehicles safe or not?

I received a notice for the recall for the airbags back in july of 2017, i have asked my dealer today, and as of today, they do not have the parts to repair the defective airbags almost a year and a half later. I would say that the problem has not been repaired in a timely manner. I am afraid to drive the vehicle in fear of injury if deployment of the airbag takes place. I have only put few thousand miles on the vehicle since receiving the recall notice.

1. Rims are showing signs of corrosion, flaking and blistering of the chrome on the aluminum rims.2. Vehicle has new battery installed and is being drained some how while the navigation and radio seem to be operating while the vehicle is off. This problem results into a dead battery after vehicle is parked for a several minutes. *note: no solution at this time has fixed the problems listed. I have read hundreds of complaints of this nature and a quick response would be greatly appreciated.

Body control module (bcm) software calibrations create a lower battery state of charge than intended in low power usage modes.multiple "re-flashing" of bcm required at gm dealers (see attached gm tsb).this same issue has been diagnosed/repaired on my vehicle in 04/14/08, 07/17/2012, and 06/01/2016.there is a manufacturing defect in the software programing and/or hard ware of this related bcm.additional 2007 model year gm trucks affected (see attached gm tsb).

2007 gms yukon xl has had numerous issues with air venting system becoming stuck in defrost mode. 8/30/07 service actuator was replaced. Again on 7/01/08 i had the actuator replaced. 2/20/09 issue occurred again same actuator was replaced for 3rd time along with new programming for hvac control head. Now 6/28/10 i'm having the same problem again. Danger of this issue is in the summer months fogging of the external windshield happers vision and automate wiper will not kick on due to moisture not reaching senor at top of windshield. However, vision becomes impaired and very dangerous at night when driving. Appears to be a know widespread issue based on mechanics note of numerous bulletins being issued on concern. No fix has worked to date.

Vehicle remote keyless entry fob non functional despite new equipment and multiple reprogramming.coupled with tire pressure monitoring system malfunctions.

While driving in the city, my truck was driving fine. Then the stabilitrak came on. When it came on the engine slow down, and almost came to a complete stop while driving on a major road where the speed limit is 55. I was able to pull over and turn the vehicle off. I was able to get it to start and call the gmc dealer, told them what the problem was, and they asked could i bring the vehicle in to see what the problem was. After they service the vehicle, they said that the stabilitrak needed to be replaced. I hadn't even had the vehicle for a full year. Before i left the dealer i asked could i still drive the vehicle, they said that i could. So i continue to drive the vehicle. One day while drive the vehicle, it moved forward while my foot was on the brake and shut off. I tried to immediately start it cause i was behind another car at a light. I was glad that it didn't hit another car. It would not start immediately. Maybe two minutes it started and when i put it in drive and press the gas it took off fast. While driving, the stabilitrak light comes on and the engine power is gone. If i am not able to pull over, the speed will drop below 20 mph. Sometimes the vehicle will take off, with just a little bit of gas. Help am scared that it might take off and hit someone or shutoff and hit someone. This is a dangerous problem, that i feel gmc should look into before some dies or really get hurt.

I was driving my denali in the city the first time it happened. The truck dropped in speed and lost power. I noticed that the cluster of lights in my dash went out and the vehicle struggled to maintain speed. A little bit down the road i pulled over. I didn't know what happened or what to do. It wouldn't shift gears. I tried to drive it to a mechanic that was close because i had no help available. It struggled to move so i pulled over again. I sat on the side of the road not knowing what to do so i turned it off. After sitting for 10-15 minutes i started it. The check engine light was still on but the dash was back to normal. I began to drive it to see if was ok. It seemed to be at the moment with the exception of a hot transmission according to the warning lights.this was the 1st of many times this would happen. Sometimes in the city in the middle of traffic where i couldn't pull over and sometimes going 70mph on the toll road. Each time there was a terrible drag in the engine and i would loose power. Often it would jerk the whole vehicle as if i slammed on the brakes.this is dangerous frustrating and scary. I live in a climate with lots of snow & ice therefore this is even more of an issue because it causes me to loose control sometimes. This is unacceptable and dangerous!!!!!

The service stabilitrak light comes on along with the check engine light causing the truck to shut off or not move. This has happened while am on the freeway, city street and stopped at a stop light. I have took my truck in for the same problem more then four times and same issue keeps happening.

When exiting highway coming up to a stop sign or stop light or just braking, the engine shuts off with no warning or sputtering, while still rolling with no warning.this usually happens when pulling a trailer.no power brakes or power steering. Traveling at about 25 mph in a residential neighborhood, the engine and stabilitrak lights came on and power abruptly cut out. Luckily no one was behind me and i was safely able to pull to the side of the road. I can only image what might have happened if this had occurred on a busy freeway or a crowded intersection.

Chrome plating on interior door opening handles peels off creating sharp edges that cut occupants fingers while trying to exit vehicle.this is occurring oninterior door handles.

We own a 2007 gmc yukon denali.my 8 year old son's thumb on his right had was trapped in the hinge on the rear passenger door, as he was exiting the vehicle. While he was exiting the front passenger seat, as my other children opened of the rear passenger door his thumb was nearly completely severed by the hinge.the hinge is completely exposed, there is no safety mechanism, cover, or preventive feature.the hinge combined with the weight of the door, moves the hinge opening from roughly and inch opening to a zero clearance area.the hinges cross over top of each other with the two edge planes of each part acting similar to a bolt cutter or tree limb cutter.one of the edge planes has a relief cutwhich acts as a trap as very little movement of the door eliminates the option of pulling back a finger or small hand.if you were to sit in the front passenger seat, open door and exit as one normally would, simply dropping your arm straight down puts your hand(fingers) at risk.the only reason his thumb was not severed is because the children exiting the car stopped opening the door and closed it so he could take his thumb out.had the door opened all the way his thumb would have been lost.as it remains we spent several hours in an emergency room, he had to have 4 stitches and an xray.because it was on the joint no bones where broken. A terrible accident that very easily could have been prevented.

Chrome peeling of on interior door handles that creates sharp edges that cut fingers.really have to be careful in order to not cut fingers when exiting auto.

Have same problem regarding interior door handles - chrome treatment begins to peel and peeling chrome is very sharp resulting in cuts to fingers and hands. Poor chroming process resulting in product failure. Handles need to be replaced.

The chrome is peeling off the interior passenger side door handle on my 2007 gmc yukon denali xl.two different passengers have had their fingers sliced open.also, the back drivers side door hung the front door when it was being opened and bent front door.

Door handle on the driver's door separated from the outside door handle/latch assembly.the entire assembly for both driver's side doors were separating from the vehicle doors.when the driver's door handle completely came off the vehicle it could be reinserted, however it was not connected to the latch to function as a means to enter the vehicle.pulling on the handle to open the door was not functional.the door handles will first begin to separate from the door and then eventually the handle/latch functionality is lost.i had to pay the gmc dealership $401.44 to replace the entire outside handle assemblies for both of the driver's side doors.

My vehicle has a significant problem with the dashboard becoming cracked. It probably started about 3 years ago, but it has become significantly worse and has multiple cracks and holes now. I had inquired with my local dealer several years ago and there were no recalls or notices. Apparently though it is a significant problem as evidenced by googling "cracked dashboards in 2007 gmc yukon". This is really not a safety issue, but a significant cosmetic issue. The cost to replace it has been quoted by the dealership to be around $1100.i have asked a third party vendor who does a cover replacement for about 1/3 of the cost (but he does not replace it). He said this is a significant problem with gmc dashboards in their trucks and yukons for several years. I think he said it was a quality issue in the plastic used in the dashboards.my car has really had minimal sun exposure and there has been no accidents that would have created the problem.thanks,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The dashboard cracked directly above the steering wheel in 2014 and now has 2 other cracks on passenger side leading to airbag that occurred recently. Cracks occurred when in motion over slight bumps.

Interior door handle chrome flaked and cut open hand causing bleeding.update 9/15/15*cwupdated 11/06/2017

A large crack appeared on my dashboard on september 3, 2016, right above the steering wheel column. I used super glue to try and keep the crack from getting larger.another, smaller, crack opened up on the passenger side on november 7, 2016, right above the airbag.

Crack in dash, driver's side.

The chrome is peeling off the interior passenger side door handle on my 2007 gmc yukon denali xl.two different passengers have had their fingers sliced open.also, the back drivers side door hung the front door when it was being opened and bent front door.

In october 2013, the trailer hitch cover failed due to a broken prong.body shop installed a replacement part; however, from the beginning it did not fit correctly.when compared to old cover, there was a difference in the prong design.in june 2014 the cover did not break or come off the vehicle; however, it was flapping below the bumper.took vehicle into service department for another issue, but, asked service department to have body shop to insure right part installed.service department came back and said "due to poor bumper design, the entire bumper would have to be replaced to insure correct fit."i declined.both my power mirrors were the original problem.service department wanted $1070.00 to replace both mirrors.declined and used another gmc dealer who replaced both for $602.69.

Exterior door handles break out of all four door panels.

Both rear door handles of my yukon denali are loose from the door.it is just a matter of time before they fall off and my kids are stuck in the back.i called the dealership and he said that this is a common issue and he has fixed this problem before.however since it is not a safety issue there isnot a bulletin.i think having easy and safe access to our kids is pretty important, but since the door were so poorly made and engineered that is not the true issue. I have gone online to see if there was a recall on this issue and to my surprise there is a you tube video on how to fix this common issue and there are blogs and bulletins that this is common.if this is truly common and defective, how come gm is not mandated to address and fix this matter?this is unfair that i need to take money out from my pocket to fix something that was designed poorly.i have had plenty of vehicles and this has never happened to me before and let me remind you this is now my 2nd door in a matter of weeks!please help!

The dash board has cracked in 4 different places, left side of gauge cluster, left of center speaker, in front of center speaker and to the left of passenger air bag.i am not sure when it happened.

Dash board cracked by the right passenger side airbag, and then cracked over the back side of the driver side instrument panel.we always use a heat shield in the summer at work, but vehicle stays in the garage when not driven.i have noticed that this seems to be a problem with gmc suv's

Interior door handle chrome flaked and cut open hand causing bleeding.update 9/15/15*cwupdated 11/06/2017

Dash has cracked in several places i'm concerned with the function of the airbags causing a possible malfuntion.

Dashboard is cracked in multiple places. Possible risk of projectiles if in accident.
