Got a recall on december 15, 2017 about the second gas tank issue.advised not to fill the second tank because it cause the front tank to expand, rub the drive shaft, and cause a leak and possible fire.they said that they would notify when parts are available.have not heard anything back yet. It has been 2 months.we travel long distances with this truck and need the added fuel from the second tank.thank you

The contact owns a 2014 gmc sierra 3500. The contact stated while driving at 35 mph, the brakes failed causing the front driver side of the vehicle to crash into a sign. The contact was able to drive the vehicle back home. The contact suffered some leg soreness. A police report was filed. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to ryan automotive group (1101 oliver rd, monroe, la 71201) where the body damage was repaired however, the failure cause was not diagnosed. The contact then received recall notification a few months later for nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic) and which the contact believed was related to his failure. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that they could not reimburse the vehicle damage to the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.

Power steering failed while driving, brakes immediately less effective.

The contact owns a 2014 gmc sierra 3500. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle unintentionally accelerated without warning. In addition, while driving 25 mph, the vehicle accelerated unintentionally when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
