The dash is cracked around the passenger side airbag which could be a safety concern during airbag deployment with sharp pieces of broken dash being propelled towards occupants.

To avoid a head on collision i had to move to the right of my lane and i hit a mountain head on and neither the driver or passengers airbag deployed. The vehicle over turned on its left driver side after skidding along pavement for a few yards it finally came to a stop.there were no passengers. I was the driver and sustained lacerations to my head bruising in chest area and a punctured left lung. The vehicle was in motion going 35 mph

I received a recall notice from gm in 2016. I keep contacting my gmc dealer and they keep telling me that there is no remedy. What is the plan for getting my truck fixed for this recall?

My vehicle is under a recall but when we called the gmc dealership last year they denied that there was really a problem.they said that gmc felt like the airbags in my truck were fine and i should ignore the recall.i asked them for a remedy or a replacement vehicle since i was not going to ignore the recall.they laughed and told me a remedy was not available yet and they were not providing me with an alternate vehicle while they waited for one to be sent down from corporate.it has been two years since the recall and i feel wehave waited long enough.

Takata recall.i still have not had my airbag replaced on the passenger side of my gmc sierra and it has been over a year. What can i do to expedite this? nothing has been done to get this rectified. Thank you.

Takata recall, it is now august 23, 2019 and i'm still driving around with defective airbags. The dealer tells me the parts are not available to fix them. What is i have an accident? this seems negligent.

Takata recall, nothing happened so far but dealerships (roger dean chevrolet cape coral and victory layne ft. Myers won't do a thing to replace the airbags

The vehicles dashboard is beginning to crack in multiple locations. This truck has less than 30,000 miles on it and it's only used as a leisure vehicle. One of the areas of major concern is, the crack that leads directly to the airbag. If the airbag were to deploy, i believe that shards of plastic would be thrown all over the interior of the vehicle. There's no reason for this dashboard to crack and the repair would be close to $1,000 dollars.in my opinion this is a manufacture defect, and a huge oversight on quality control.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 gmc sierra 2500. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 21v054000 (air bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. Cappellino buick gmc (5411 transit rd, buffalo, ny 14221, (716) 650-4471) was contacted and confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

I got in my truck yesterday and noticed a crack in the dash at the passenger side air bag. The crack was not there before. I am concerned that if the bag deploys, the crack in the dash could become a projectile or cut the air bag resulting in a serious or fatal injury. My truck is garage kept and is not exposed to extreme temperatures.

Takata recall, i have a letter from gm. Concerning the air bag recall dated 07/2016 informing me of said recall and stating that i would be notified when parts are available for repairs. That has been over a year ago and now i have a crack in the corner of the dash panel where the air-bag is located. After doing some research it appears that gm. Has issues with gm trucks, suv's etc. From year 2007 until at least 2013 concerning this issue. I have contacted gm. Dealers and gm their self concerning repairs and or replacement of the airbags and stated my concerns with the dash being cracked in this location. These airbags have been documented to kill or injure people and as a concerned owner of one of these vehicles i feel gm. Is not moving fast enough to rectify this situation. There are millions of these vehicles affected by this recall on the road every day and that leads to greater risk of death or injury. I should not have to get rid of my vehicle because of safety concerns by the manufacturer. Thanks in advance for any assistance in this matter.

No dealer can repair my takata air bag due to gm not having a replacement part available. I am concerned that nhtsa and gm are not concerned for my life by having this issue open for so long and answer to the mandated repairs. I will follow up with my congressman and senators. I am afraid when i have to drive and don't have other options for work.

The dashboard cracked which creates an extremely dangerous hazard should the airbag activate. The loss of integrity of the dashboard could create an explosion of dash material should the airbag activate in an accident

Takata inflator- electric connector has failed. This has left the truck with a failed passenger side front airbag.

Takata recall issued may 27, 2016. We have contacted gmc dealership service center. They keep saying there is no fix.

Vehicle exhibited "low coolant" warning in dic after gm def recall was performed."low coolant" warning returned after multiple repairs to the coolant system from servicing dealer.failure of coolant system resulted in a failure of the head gasket and water intrusion into the #7 cylinder.vehicle is 12 months old and had 15,000 miles at the time of failure.vehicle also exhibited multiple electrical system failures including:dead batteryno start condition multiple timestrailer brake system failureengine hour meter failureintermittent electrical failures from door locks, lights, radio.selling dealer recalibrated ecm twice, but electrical issues are still present.

Fuse for left turn trailer burns out repeatedly.no warning or indication it is out until someone pulls me over or tells me when stopped or i check. I have three different trails and all are involved.the fuse will at times, be blown without trailer attached.dealer can't find issue (intermittent problem).never know when fuse blows unless i check it or hook up trailer.always left turn trailer fuse.truck does have two batteries and is diesel. Has happened many times, ever since truck was new. Last time, jan3, 2017.sounds similar to recall 14v407000.my truck was manufactured during time period given but never received notice of any kind.

We purchased 24 2011 gmc 2500 trucks with omaha utility bodies. About 1 month after putting the units in service we had a failure of the module that operates the rear brake/tail/turn lights. It had no left turn light, and the right turn operated with the turn switch set to left or right. We removed the module (installed by palfleet) from another vehicle and installed it on the one with the problem. That corrected that unit.since that time we have had 6 more units that have failed in a similar manner, but varied lights to include right/left turn and brake lights.with any of these light inoperative, the vehicles are not in compliance with fmvss 108, or any operational standard.now palfleet wants to sell us new lights to cure the problem.text of their email follows:[xxx], in understanding from ken pitts in service and john pannell in our materials department that some of the multiple service body units we installed a few months back have had electrical issues with the rear taillights specifically,we were hoping to provide you with information. In the early stages of the fsa (florida sherriff's association for the state of florida) bid process for these units that dates back to 2010, we worked up the bid price based on the standard light kit package.per my understanding for ford and dodge trucks the standard incandescent type bulb/light works properly.in the case of gm trucks, due to a different oem wiring harness and certain electrical amp-draw criteria, the standard incandescent bulb can sometimes overheat causing failure.the recommended correction is to upgrade the two red turn/stop lights to led which, again per my understanding, withstand the heat buildup caused by the gm harness.we will be glad to send you the replacement red lights if you would like to pursue and any of the circuit boards (if needed) at our cost plus ups shipping.the cost would be as shown:red stop/turn light - $18.00 circuit board - $49.00information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Vehicle sporadically spontaneously locks all 4 doors within 10 seconds after closing the door. No touching of remote, no accidentally hitting a door switch while exiting the vehicle. It happens when i'm at the back of the truck, or 10 feet away. Always within 10 to 15 seconds after exiting. It may sound strange, but it happens more often toward the end of the onstar yearly contract.safety concern - i have a 3-year old grandson who likes to go with me. What happens if i forget to take the keys with me while i'm refueling on a hot summer day and i haven't extended the onstar contract? obviously, i'd break a window if necessary, but then i'd have to buy another window. It appears my vehicle is not the only one having this problem. Of course, no trouble codes therefore dealer can't repair, but my dealer's service rep admits it happens very often and not limited to gmc trucks.

So the heater in the def tank is broken and the nox reading is wrong or has gone out.then my speed was reduced to max 55 mph.dealer said it would be $1500 to fix but after reading forums on-line there have been a lot is issues with the def system, fixing it, and then still displays issue.am i going to get this repaired and still have an issue like others?

Broken dash board at passenger airbag

Cracked dash by airbag

There is a crack in the dashboard near the passenger aigbag. It's concerning that it's so close to the airbag and seems to be a safety concern. Not sure how long it's been there. I just noticed it this week.

Dash is cracking and it's on the passenger airbag.

Cracked passenger side dashboard above airbag. Nothing was done by owner to make this happen. It is a known gm problem they refuse to recall.

The contact owns a 2011 sierra 2500. The contact stated that while driving 85 mph, the throttle failed without warning due to the floor mats becoming tangled between the pedal. The vehicle was neither inspected nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

The contact owns a 2011 gmc sierra 2500. While driving approximately 65 mph, the sun roof suddenly fractured and fell into the vehicle. There were no injuries. The contact called seaview buick gmc (located at 17909 highway 99, lynnwood, wa 98037, 866-223-2586) who stated that the sun roof needed to be replaced; however, they no longer made the parts for the repair but was able to locate the glass and was repaired. The manufacturer made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 87,500.

I have a 2011 gmc sierra 2500hd denali diesel 4x4 pickup truck. At 60,000 miles one of the 20" aluminum wheels failed with a large crack on the backside of the wheel. I purchased a new wheel and had america's tire remount my tire. At 95,000 miles the same failure happened, but on a different wheel. This time there were two cracks in the wheel several inches long. On this failure i notified my gmc dealer, simpson gmc in buena park of the issue. I replaced this wheel again with a new wheel. Now at 115,000 miles i have a third 20" aluminum wheel that has failed. This time there are four cracks, 2 of which are over 1" long. I took my truck into america's tire and my gmc dealer and both a technician and the service director at simpson gmc are surprised the wheel didn't come apart while driving. I have attempted to work with my gmc dealer as well as general motors corporate towards a resolution of this safety issue. I have asked gm to replace at least this latest failed wheel and investigate this matter further. I can't be the only one with this issue. Gm has denied covering the cost of a new wheel and has twice now ignored my requests for an investigation. Because this is a huge safety issue where a failure could endanger my life, my family's life, or the lives of innocent motorist around me i must file a complaint and ask once again that my concerns be validated. I am asking gm to replace all four of my wheels with new wheels of the same kind if they can assure me this problem has been fixed, and if that is not an option, i am seeking general motors cover the costs of four aftermarket wheels. If no resolution comes from this complaint i will file additional complaints with general motors, the bureau of automotive repair, the bbb, the attorney general, and finally with my legal counsel.

All four wheels have developed cracks over the course of my six year ownership of the vehicle. I have spoken with the service director at simpson gmc of buena park, ca, numerous technicians at simpson gmc, service managers at america's tire of victorville, hesperia, and fullerton, ca and have hired an outside engineer that all agree that there is a defect in design and manufacturing on the 20' denali hd wheels (rpo: pys). I have well documented interactions with all parties involved and i intend to prove the design flaw that exists with these wheels. I am also in contact with the media regarding the life threatening hazardous design these wheels pose to the public. General motors has been advised numerous times of the safety hazard and problems with these wheels. Please reference the two latest executive office cases 8-1552109660 and 8-2402833027.

Three oe (3) goodyear wrangler tires, lt265/60 r20 have become defective, all in the same fashion with sidewall problems, two with bulging, one with an at speed blowout at the sidewall.first one, 1/22/16 while driving but stopped due to heavy traffic and another motorist pointed out the bulge.installed spare, at destination purchased at full price 2 brand new tires in order to have matching tread on all tires.dealer alleged there must have been damage, so there was no wear adjustment.second one noted while vehicle was parked in my driveway 2/15/17.called goodyear who referred me to a local factory store who pro-rated an adjustment and i rec'd a new tire.third one blew out at turnpike speed 8/16/17.none of these tires were anywhere near the end of tread life at the time of the problem.this vehicle has never been "off-road" and i do not drive around hitting objects with the tires.i do not want to turn over the latest defective tire to a dealer until i hear from you if an investigation is in order; it is "evidence".i did take photos of the first two tires and will do the same with the most recent one.thank you.
