Takata recall:i received a safety recall notice in july of 2015 regarding the front passenger airbag inflator.recall #15438.i have had my vehicle in to the dealer multiple times and am still being told that there is "no remedy" for this recall.i am concerned for the safety and well being of the vehicle occupants should this vehicle be involved in an accident and the airbags deployed.it has been over 17 months and this safety concern is effecting my use of this vehicle.it is currently my only vehicle and it is imperative that i be able to utilize it on a daily basis without fear of serious consequences should there be an accident.yesterday the dealer advised me to turn off the passenger side airbag if there is a switch allowing me to do that.i believe that action also puts the vehicle occupants at risk and is not a satisfactory remedy.
Takata recall needs to be completed and currently there is no remedy available.

Takata recall. There is an open recall on the vehicle's passenger side airbag. The recall has been active for well over a year and remains in 'incomplete' status. This recall is not being addressed in a timely manner. Given the severity of the damage/injury/death that can occur as a result of the faulty airbag, this delay is unacceptable. I have contacted the gmc dealership in liberty lake, wa, george gee, and they have merely reiterated that a fix is not yet available for recall. Furthermore, i have never received correspondence from the manufacturer notifying me of the recall or its status.

Truck was traveling approximately at fifty or fifty five, suddenly driver lost control of vehicle, went off the road and landed in trees and bushes, none of the air bags deployed, there were three passengers.
My truck has a defective dash that has cracked in multiple places for no reason and no rough treatment or anythig that would cause it to break, it cracked and broke all on its own... And gmc should be responsible for replacing because it is a safety hazard. This is a defect happening to thousands of these trucks and all the cracks and breaks and in the same exact spots which would seem to be a manufacturer defect not a consumer issue...if i were to get into an accident the defective broken dash could seriously injure someone. My truck is also part of the takata recall and i can not go in to get the air bag fixed because it will further break my dash. This dash issue is a major safety issue that needs to be addressed and a recall needs to be made for this issue

Takata recall: dealer has no idea when replacement air bags will be available for defective passenger air bag. I have requested when to expect resolution of two different dealerships in the last 12 months. No one can give me any timeline. I have been driving this vehicle since new (10 years). It would be nice to have some idea of when i can expect to drive a safe vehicle that won't blow up in my face.

Takata recall dealer sent recall letter in 2015 went to dealer 3 times over time, no parts available. Called gmc gave them same info. There answer this message is being recorded explained went to dealer no parts there reply to me bottom line, do not have any passengers in vehicle or replace parts at my expense. This is unexceptable they have parts for new vehicles being built this is unacceptable for every new car built they should replace one on recall or stop production on new vehicles. Cheaper to pay death of person than fix problem.thank you
The dash around the airbag is cracked and i'm concerned about shrapnel if the airbag were to deploy.

As i was leaving las vegas on i 15, i got a message of reduced power. I was just outof heavy traffic, traveling about 70 mph, when the engine slowed to about 1,000 rpm with out warning. Found out later that it was a broken lead wire to the throttle position sensor. The truck had about 37,000 miles onit. The truck is a 2007 2500hd with 6.0 engine. The trucki has never been worked on,and is line new. Dealer installedp/n 88986255 connector. I received half or the cost back after calling gmc. I feel that this is a safety problem. General motors gmc sierra duramax equipped pick up trucks (lmm series) have an issue with leaking transmission cooling lines where the rubber hoses are crimped to the steel connectors. The problem is a fire hazard due to leaking transmission fluid. Gm has already issued replacement of these hoses for the 2008 model year. In 2007 gm had a split year offering for the duramax. The 2007 version was a series lbz. In the second half of 2007 (due to emissions requirements) gmc introduced the model year designation 2007.5. The 2007.5 were the first of the lmm series. The 2007.5 are identical to model year 2008. The 2007.5 lmm series have the same leaking transmission coolerlines and should be included in the same decision as the 2008 models. Since the 2007.5 show up as "2007" model year they have not been included. Gm has missed this small group of 1/2 year vehicles (i believe an oversight) in the hose replace recall. Since this issue has already been identified for 2008 vehicles the same issue applies for 2007.5 models. They should also be included but currently are not. I'm hoping that the awareness of the unusual split year models (series lmm) is realized and their vin numbers added to the recall.
The contact owns a 2007 gmc sierra 2500.the contact stated that the vehicle's coolant is constantly low.the warning light indicated a low coolant level.the dealer diagnosed the cause of failure as the o ring missing from the fly wheel housing coolant.the dealer repaired the vehicle, however, the low oil indicator light illuminated.the dealer diagnosed the cause of failure as an oil filter leak.the seals and oil filter were replaced.when the contact picked up the vehicle, he noticed an oil leak.the vehicle has not been repaired.the current mileage is 4,000 and failure mileage was 650.
Check engine light comes on and engines goes into reduced power mode.doesn't have enough power to go over 40 mph.while pulling a trailer the engine doesn't have enough power to climb hills or go over 25 mph.i have taken to dealer twice and they say gm is aware of the problem but they don't have a fix for it.it's not safe having a vehicle that breaks down in -15 degree weather and having the dealer tell you that there is no fix for the problem and to just keep driving the vehicle.

Brake lines failed on my 2007 gmc 2500 and my 2007 gmc 1500. It appears to be a common problem with gmc vehicles from 2003 to 2009. Why wasn't these vehicles recalled for this. I was told that gmc was offering a discounted price for failed brake lines, but the dealer charged me full price. $1,667.00. The discounted price was supposed to be $500.00.

Gmc-chevrolet pickup trucks, year 2000 to current.brake rotors delaminating and rusting, causing brake disc pads not to grip the rotor.frequent problem causing brakes to work poorly. On oct. 12, 20115, while driving on a state highway to the grocery store, as i was slowing down for a red light the passenger side rear brake line ruptured.to make a long story short, i purchased a new brake line and replaced it. I also had to replace the caliper because of corrosion. During the replacement of the brake line i inspected the other brake lines. They were also rusty.i called my service center and they told me it's a result of the pre-treatment solution they spray on the roads in the winter. On january 11th of this year, a second brake line ruptured when a car pulled out right in front of me on the same road as before. This time it was the brake line that runs from the master cylinder to the abs module. I purchased this2007 gmc sierra 2500hd brand new in nov of 07'. It has 17,510 original miles. I wash the under carriage every spring as i have on all my previous vehicles. My first chev. Pickup i had for 20 years and never had a brake line issue!!when i talked to the service manager where i have my vehicles serviced he told me they are seeing a lot of pickups coming in with similar issues. He told me that they are installing the new copper/ zinc brake lines which resist the road treatments. When i asked if there's a charge he said for just replacing the brake lines it would be $1,500. Being retired on a fixed income i cannot afford anywhere near that much!being this is a serious safety issue i feel gmc should recall and replace these inferior brake lines. I called gm to ask for help. They told me the only thing they could do is, being a loyal customer, they would give me $2,000 off a new truck if i wanted to trade it in. My response: why would i trade in a truck that's bought and paid for with only 17,510 miles on it and in excellent condition otherwise for another new truck and another 6 years of payments that we cannot afford! please help.
A pressure line on steering cooler rusted through and blew fluid out all over grill and bumper. Makes one hell of a noise with no fluid in pump. I was driving 10 mph when it happened and had to go about 1/4 mile to park.
I have a 2007 gmc sierra 2500 hd crew cab slt pickup 4d 6ft., purchased new in o7, with about 70,000 miles on it.i just had the right front axle come apart. It seems the rubber boot and two metal bands that clamp the boot onto both parts of the axle hold the axle together.

I own a 2007 gmc sirrea 2500hd slt truck and it has cracks in the dash board.which from my research these gm trucks and more have a history of cracking and gm refuses to correct the problem. It would be great if gm would admit to this problem and fix it at their expense.the truck was just sitting when i noticed the cracks. The cracks are located above the gauge panel and on the corner of the passenger airbag.

Truck was traveling approximately at fifty or fifty five, suddenly driver lost control of vehicle, went off the road and landed in trees and bushes, none of the air bags deployed, there were three passengers.
August 19, 2016 truck was in an accident when the vehicle went out of control..a bracket on the left front of the truck broke and there appeared to be a crack on it.we believe the accident was caused by the bracket braking and then made it so that we could not control the vehicle
The contact owns a 2007 gmc sierra 2500.while driving 5 mph, the receiver part of the hitch separated and fell to the ground with the trailer attached.the trailer hitch has to be replaced.the current mileage is 1,600 and failure mileage was 1,400.
The dash of my 2007 gmc 2500hd pickup truck has cracked in several places including around the passenger side airbag, up and over the instrument cluster hump, and in the middle of the dash.these cracks have expanded over the past year and have become quite large.i am concerned that the cracks at the airbag cover may impede the proper function of the airbag system as well.this seems to be an ongoing problem with many gmc truck owners with model years 2007 - 2011 and my truck displays cracking very similar to others posted to websites on the internet.
Dash is cracking around passenger airbag and above instrument cluster. The safety concern is that during a wreck what will the cracked dash do when airbags are deployed. A recall should be required due to defects in dash manufacturing.
The dash around the airbag is cracked and i'm concerned about shrapnel if the airbag were to deploy.
The door handles are peeling the fake chrome and it is razor sharp.my interior handles have cut 3 people to date.

2007 gmc sierra is blowing extremely hot air but it will not clear ice from window. Consumer states that the air is so hot it burns and you can't place your hand on the dash because it is that hot. But he says it will not defrost the window.the consumer stated the defroster did not defrost the upper part of the windshield, only the lower part.
I own a 2007 gmc sierra 2500hd pickup with 94278 miles on it. This week end the right frontwheel bearing assy failed for the second time, and the left one was on its way to failing. At a cost of 375.00 each i replaced both sides. This seems very excessive to me to have to replace the wheel bearings for the second time with less than one hundred thousand miles on the vehicle.
