Gmc 2500 dieselhd sle sierra rearwheel drive instrument panay is inoperative.have to use iphone for speed and guess at gas effecting cruise control interior lights fan speed and cd player

When placed in park then turned off the key wouldn't come out of the ignition, when placed in drive while running the key would come out freely.

(electrical) as an ongoing issue, the dashboard gauges/indicators (i.e. Tach, speedometer, etc..) will sometimes not register until several minutes after the vehicle has been running (this could be for up to miles)it has not affected vehicle performance to date.(fuel/propulsion system) i have begun having issues where it goes into "reduced engine power".further diagnostic attempts have led me to believe that it is due to a faulty throttle position sensor (part of the throttle body), tac module, or app assembly (accelerator pedal).most likely cause may be due to the throttle position sensor, as this issue has happened when the vehicle is on "cruise control".however, due to the inferior design of the throttle body unit itself, the manufacture has made it difficult or if designed to be impossible to replace just the tps, by riveting the tps to the throttle body, and may have to replace the whole throttle body.i am having the vehicle serviced for a complete diagnostic and repair, and will elaborate further upon successful repair if desired.

The contact had to depress the acceleration pedal to the floorboard to accelerate on more than one occasion but to no avail. The vehicle continued to stall without warning. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer more than five times, who was not able to replicate or determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had also been taken to the dealer for diagnosis but to no avail. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was not available.

While driving on the highway, my 2003 gmc sierra 2500 displayed a "reduced engine power" warning on my dashboard. My vehicle lost all speed control, decelerating from 65 mph to 20 mph in a matter of seconds. I immediately pulled over to the side of the highway and shut my truck off. Once i restarted the vehicle, the message was gone and my truck was fine. It was a very scary incident not being able keep the right speed for the conditions on the highway.

Slowing down approaching a stop lite ,applied brakes was a shudder of anti lock and pedal went down to floor. Had to apply emergency brake to avoid a crash.

Ii put new brake calipers on my truck today and had my wife pumping the brake peddle as i bled the brakes and got to the last caliper rears then the 2 fronts when she told me the brake peddle was not holding like it was , and then smoke came out from under the truck and i looked underneath& seen brake fluid everywhere below drivers door the fluid under pressure blew over against the hot engine components as u have to run engine when bleeding the lines lucky i guess it did not catch fire, but after i got on the internet trying to find a replacementi found that is a common problem , i did see the other lines looked bad also the fuel lines looked the same good thing it happened in the driveway at home . Maybe would have been better off if it burnt down ,g.m should fix all of these problems with these trucks on their dime as much as these trucks cost. !!

Brake failure upon slowing down at off ramp. Avoided accident but had total brake failure. Pulled into parking lot, checked fluid levels, were ok, tried brakes again and they were working. Have not had a problem since.have heard reports of similar nature. Some think it is a problem in the valving.hope you can find a cure.

I cross the route 18 on massachusetts when the brake is completely gone almostinvolved in accident.

Driving to work one day, a car in front of me suddenly stopped to turn left. I hit my brakes and felt a "pop" and the brake peddle went straight to the floor, no brakes. I was traveling about 55 mph so at that point, i am a 55 mph spear on wheels. I swerved to the right and drove across someone's driveway and through their yard. This weekend was the city wide garage sales, and thankfully, these folks were not having a sale in their driveway or yard, or else this could have been a terrible accident. The only rust issue with this truck is the brake lines and fuel lines. If your lines rust before your body rust, then i feel there is a serious design flaw. If it was something else rusting then it wouldn't be as big of a deal. But when you are talking brake lines, it is just a matter of time before this flaw causes another catastrophic brake failure, leading to an accident involving serious injury or death. A 10 year old truck should not have this problem. I have owned vehicles that were 15, 20 years old and have never had to replace brake lines. Someone's life is worth so much more than a cheaply made brake line.

Brake line failed, no brakes while heading for a red light. Drive off road till vehicle stopped. Brake line frommaster cylinder to abs control , rotted out. Upon further inspection, all brake lines are rotted out. My mechanic states they all need to be replaced, it will happen again.

I was driving on i 75 doing 70 mph i had to come to a sudden stop i applied brakes and there was no brakes., i ended up putting truck in the ditch to avoid serious accident. It ended both brake lines from master cylinder both blew up from corrosion these lines went to the abs module. I was some what injured.

Abs comes on at low speed.. It increases stopping distance..i have once rear ended a vehicle because of this. There was no damage to either vehicle..also my abs light come on for a few seconds maybe two or three times a month..

Brakes are spongy not right power steering whines as do brakes

Brake line rusted through and lost all braking capability.luckly it happened pulling into my driveway and not on the highway!fuel lines rusted through and leaking fuel puddlingonto the ground.

Severely rusted brake lines that split.main line from master cylinder to abs module and rear line just inboard of lh rear tire.pedal went to the floor on city street when driving.

Brakes failed to engage, i took it to a gm dealer and upon investigation found a corroded brake line that had failed. As they investigated further they found that all the brake lines were corroded and had to be replaced.i have been a mechanic most of my adult life and have never ever heard of corroded brake lines on a 9 year old truck. This is insane i would like to know why there hasn't been a recall on this very important safety issue????? what happens when someone is killed?????? i have no problem taking this to the supreme court. When does money take the place of the most basic safety feature known to the american auto makers???? i want everyone to know that this is known problem with many gm auto's and trucks that everyone is aware of and nothing is being done to correct it!!!!!! how do they sleep at night?

Brake lines rusted causing brakes to rust completely and not work properly.

I purchased a 2003 dodge ram quad cab truck from parsons ford in martinsburg wv. It was sold to me in an unsafe condition. The upper and lower ball joints are shot. The tires are cupped. The vehicle bounces when exceeding 45 mph. The inspection sticker had been removed and replaced which invalidates it therefore it was sold to me without a valid inspection. I have tried to return the vehicle on three separate occasions within days of purchasing it. Parsons ford refuses to take the vehicle back stating they did nothing wrong. No repairs have been made at this time.

Complaint involves reduced power mode while driving. This has become a safety concern because of the rapid drop in speed while driving. It is unsafe trying to exit traffic lanes with no response from throttle pedal and appears to be a common problem with drive by wire vehicles produced by general motors. Vehicle has been to dealership twice with no resolution of the problem. This failure has occurred at various speeds, times of day, temperatures etc. It will enter reduced power once to twice a day.thank you for your time.

Dt*: the contact stated the exterior passenger side rear mirror was rounded and did not have a statement indicating objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are.due to the rounded design, it created a blind spot.the manufacturer was alerted.
