System that failed was the air bag system , yes it can be available for inspection with notification,my family and friend were put at risk when the air bag system deployed in a parked car and seat belt restraints were deployed pulling them back into the seats , not moving and no other cars around it or near it went off randomlyit was not in an accident ,injuring the 3 occupants. The problem is still pending , at the dealer, and general motors has been notified . Case 9-6893265248,general motors product assistance claims (pac) there has been a police report filled with local officials, i don't think the dealership has inspected , buy recommendation of gm, since this is none accident related to the air bag system going off randomly, very freighting to me and my family. No warning lamps no indication of anything wrong with the vehicle, prior to incident, and one of the boys could not exit the car due to the seat belts being cinched down on him during the air bag explosion.incident happened 8/22/2021 at about 10:15 to 10:30 ama week latter we are still waiting on answers from general motors as to what happened , this vehicle has never been in an accident , and we have all the service records from the dealership , the only place it has been serviced, gm has download data from the computers, and we have asked for copies of those data files as well, we do have all the service records as well should you need them.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving 45 mph, the contact crashed into a deer. The air bag covers detached, but the air bags did not deploy. There was smoke detected inside the vehicle and the service restraint message was displayed. The contact stated that the hazard warning indicators were illuminated. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 9-56540909990. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The failure mileage was 6,000. The vin was not available.

Traveling at 68mph, a deer jumped in front of me and i struck the deer hard enough to cause radiator to dump the fluid onto the road. Seat belts locked and the airbag system fired. Smoke filled the cab and the computer registered as airbags deployed. But there were no airbags physically come out into the vehicle.

Steering freeze up on me son hit an electric pole head on rolled over few times. The front air bags did not deploy and the left back tire was deployed with the rotor. This happened out of the city limits coming into town.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the back up camera was faulty. The features worked intermittently and would not complete all views of the rear of the vehicle. The screen turned blue and "service back up system" appeared on the camera screen. The contact stated that the vehicle also had a lane assist sensor; however, the seat would not alert the contact or vibrate when he drifted out of the lane. The vehicle was driven to home dale schwartz gmc (145 willow ave, honesdale, pa 18431, (570) 253-4222) where it was diagnosed that a new module needed to be installed in the rear seat. The contact did not know what side of the rear of the seat the module needed to be placed. The vehicle was not repaired. The mechanic ordered the new module and stated that it would arrive in three weeks. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,800. The vin was unknown.

Cruise control would not disengage when the brake was appliedi was on a highway traveling 65 mph. Had to take an exit ramp to avoid a collision with vehicle in front of and beside me.

After my recall was fixed my truck locked into 4 wheel drive and i lost controlof all my safety features. My lights would not work. They fixed what they said was a glitch in the recall and 3 weeks later my engine light came on again and my brake system started to show lights. They recalibrated the brake systemrecall again.

Vehicle screens including both the driver information area and the infotainment screen began flashing alerts/warning about disabled cross traffic alert, lane keeping assistance, and trailer connection/disconnection warnings.alerts happened ever 2-4 seconds with screen flashes each time.very distracting in the dark which makes it difficult to pay attention to the road.almost rear ended another vehicle due to this issues.

Purchased new, dec 24, 2019. Current odometer 645miles. The vehicle was parked for about 15 minutes, when i returned to my truck and turned it on, multiple warning tones began to sound and the dashboard was illuminated with multiple warning lights (abs, traction control, check engine, parking brake) and messages reading: "brake system failure 62mph top speed," 'service trailer brake system,' 'steering assist is reduced drive with care,''service esc.' i turned the vehicle off and on multiple times over the course of 20 minutes, exiting the vehicle, locking the doors, unlocking the doors, and starting the process from the beginning. I decided i wouldn't be driving over 62mph as i was only 2 miles from my home, so i decided to back out and drive home with full intentions of calling the dealership in the morning. When i tried to back out i realized that i had almost zero braking power, having to almost stand up on the brake pedal to stop the vehicle without giving it any gas, and turning was difficult (similar to manual steering in a vintage vehicle). I knew driving home would not be safe. I turns the vehicle off and on once more and all the warning messages and lights were no longer there. The check engine light remained on and is still on. I was able to drive home as though nothing happened, but am fearful this will happen while driving down the road, especially while my children are in the car. I have read multiple forums, this is not an isolated incident, with many others experiencing the same exact issue, sometimes while actually driving, in 2019 gmc sierras and chevy silverado's. This is absolutely unacceptable and will result in injuries and deaths if gm does not resolve the issue.

During normal operation, when placing the vehicle in reverse, the infotainment screen intermittently turns blue, flashes, scrolls, or turns black. Often times a message is displayed that reads "service rear camera". Also, when driving the infotainment system will turn off, reboot, or turn black intermittently.

When the temperature drops below about 20 degrees (fahrenheit) the center instrument cluster starts displaying emergency codes that require constant clearing, only to have the error codes reappear. The same thing happens on the infotainment head unit in the center stack -- it flashes, resets, cuts the sound in and out and displays trailering checklists. All of this is immensely distracting to the driver and creates a safety hazard. I've had it serviced and have been told gm engineers are aware of the issue (its common on 2019 sierra and silverado 1500 trucks) but have been unable to find a solution. I have video of both types of errors.

Dam truck its on park but keeps displaying a message saying shiftto parck,,,,took to dealership they couldn't find the problem , they asked to start by changing the shift to park handler and '''will go from there '''that's what they said, worse truck i ever had,,,and all this started right after 36000 miles,,,

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving approximately 40 mph, the entertainment system went out. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, the failure did not recur. The failure later recurred and the vehicle was taken to bob howard buick gmc dealer (405-936-8800, located at 13300 broadway extension, oklahoma city, ok 73114) where the computer system was updated. Approximately two weeks later, while driving approximately 40 mph, the brakes lost power and did not stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle would be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500. The vin was unknown.

Just bought this vehicle and took it to the dealer and they don`t have an explanation but the backup camera malfunctions. This could be very dangerous with young kids and when backing up while picking the kids up from school and at local grocery or department stores.

When truck is turned on dash says service esc brake system and service 4 wheel drive will not disengage from 2 wheel drive and parking brake is engaged and will not disengage and truck will not move. Infotainment screen will freeze up and not be able to change radion navigation etc

Trailer disconnect warning when no trailer is connected cold weatherseems to cause the errorthe warning continually pops up

1st time engine check light came on had brake control updated. 2nd did auto start and after that truck will not start. After 3 hours can start the truck but brake control traction control abs were off. Engine has reduce power. Dealer updated the truck and check battery. 3rd time truck will not power on. After jump starting the truck it pops up all of previous message. And running board keep popping in and out and truck will still drain power ebven when off.

On june 2, 2020, my vehicle was in the driveway and caught fire. I'm not sure how it started. I heard a loud boom and went outside and saw my truck fully engulfed in flames. I purchased the vehicle on 11/15/2019. It had only 4015 miles at the time. The vehicle was stationary. The last time it was driven was at 4:00 pm on june 2nd and at 9:58 pm it was on fire.

After shutting vehicle off, there's loud noises coming from behind the steering wheel that sounds like relays.

When i am driving my truck, i will get notifications saying that there is a trailer disconnection issue when i don't even have a trailer connected. It also flashes an alert saying that the lane departure system and pedestrian sensor are being effected. As this is going on, the infotainment screen flashes on and off as well which is very distracting. They have continued to come on in cold weather after i have taken it to the dealership to be looked at. I don't know if this is a hardware or software problem but it needs to be addressed because it becomes both a large nuisance and safety hazards when you have errors messages and lights flashing while you're driving.

I am a heavy highway construction inspector for wvdoh and while working on i 81 sb in martinsburg, wv this morning around 2:00 am while performing my duties i attempted to pull out of my lane closure into traffic when my truck literally got stuck halfway out into live traffic. It was as if i was stomping on the brakes instead of giving it gas. Fortunately i reacted swiftly and put the truck in reverse to back into my lane closure preventing a collision with a tractor trailer traveling at speeds in excess of 55 mph. I was literally shaking when i realized how close of a call it actually was and that not only could i or the truck driver have been killed, but so could the workers on my job have been injured and/or killed. I had to have my truck towed back to my field office. For some reason the truck started driving properly again. There is definitely something wrong and it is extremely fortunate that no injuries occurred on my project. I did notice a post on this website explaining the very thing that happened to me this morning. This issue must be addressed immediately before people are killed. Thank you, [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).*cc

My pickup started, i pulled out on road and sped up to 35 mph, when i stepped on brakes to slow down they were unresponsive, so i began pumping. They felt very hard to pump and were not slowing the truck down. Lights came on saying service brakes etc. As i coasted to try to slow down off side of road. I had to keep pumping the brakes down to floorboard and i?m not sure they were even working.i lost power steering and was almost involved in a serious rear-end collision.4 messages appeared on digital dash while driving. Service esc, brake system failure 62 mph top speed, service trailer brake system, steering assist reduced. I had to press brake pedal to the floor with extremely excessive force to get truck to stop.this failure could have easily resulted in vehicle accident, or even a fatality accident. I doubt i will ever carry my family in the truck again due to this and i certainly will not allow my children to drive the truck.this is the 5th time this has happened to my truck.

Transmission slipping turning corners at 5 mph, transmission slip take off at hill stop sign, transmission hard shift 2nd to 3rd gear intermitted and vibration 45 mph to 55 mph

Dear nhtsa,i recently leased a 2019 gmc sierra pickup truck. This truck is currently in the shop for the 6th time, and neither gm or the local dealership can seem to fix anything on this truck. Most recently, as yesterday i had my car in for the braking system. The dealership called me and said my truck was fixed.as i turned my truck on, the brake system light came on. I was told by the dealership to just drive it and it will go away.i do not feel this is a good/safe practice and gm is not helping me to get out of this unsafe truck.

Tl *the contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. When the contact started the vehicle, the 'brake system failure 62 mph top speed', trailer brake, service esc, and steering assist indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. Also, while the contact was testing the brakes in a parking lot, the brake pedal became soft and felt as if it could extend to the floorboard. The contact also stated that he had to apply excessive force to the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 750.

Truck parked in morning, turned it on and multiple warnings came on, service trailer brake system, service esc, brake system failure at 62mph,got warning from onstar that there is an issue with my antilock braking system, i took pictures of error but only could upload one.

Brand new truck, denali, 10k miles, started vehicle with multiple warning sounds/lights, dash read "brake system failure 62mph top speed", service trailer brake system", steering assist is reduced drive with care" service esc", power steering was very tough to steer, braking was super reduced with full weight on brake to try and get vehicle to stop.have 3 children under 3 years of age and not acceptable gmc.

2019 gmc sierra. Consumer writes in regards to issues with the infotainment system. *ldthe consumer stated infotainment screen independently changes to different modes. While using the cameras, the infotainment screen independently switches views. The touch screen was faulty. While driving, the camera would independently activate. The dealer and manufacturer were made aware of the failure but, could determine a fix. The phone feature randomly makes calls to stored numbers. The volume would independently reach maximum volume. The consumer was unable to turn the volume down manually.

I have a 2019 gmc sierra i took it in for recall services and took a road trip to texas once i reached tax that evening i had a brake system failure going down the highway took it into the shop and had everything looked at and check they said truck was fine and the next morning on the trip back brak system failed again and both time check engine light was on for electric problem as well. Go the truck to the dealer again where it is currently at now. They will do the same thing and tell me the truck is fine or replace parts that was not the issue. I refuse to place my family life in danger by continuing to drive this truck it is a major safety hazard

Transmission feels sluggish and jerks. When coming to a stop feels like your being rear ended. Stereo system freezes and goes silent no sound what do ever

When i tried to drive my truck i received the below error messages and lights on my dash board:steering assist reduced drive with careservice trailer brakeservice escbrake system failure - 62 mph top speedabscheck enginebraketraction controli dropped the truck off at the gmc dealer for two days, i picked it up and it was fine.i was told it was a software update.then 7 days later i had the same errors messages and lights on my dash board.and this time it was extremely hard to stop the truck.i needed to press down all the way to stop the truck.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the electrical system in the vehicle was defective which caused delays with several driver functions. He stated that the vehicle would restart while in operation after coming to a complete stop. The contact also stated that the vehicle hesitated and jerked while accelerating without warning. The contact stated that several attempts were needed while pushing the push to start button for the vehicle to start. The vehicle was taken to mc-elveen buick gmc (117 farmington rd, summerville, sc 29483) on four separate occasion to be repaired however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and filed two cases for the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 900.

First week of ownership i noticed that the rear window had a water leak by rear driver seat. While inspecting the leak, i notice that the paint on the rear brake spoiler above the rear window had two black marks. Body shop technician rubbed his fingers on the spots and paint was rubbing off. I started to receive 'service steering column lock' messages intermittently and regularly during startup. Heating indicator lights for all the seats do not light up to indicate their settings. This occurs while vehicle is stationary or on the road. The rear backup camera screen turns blue and displays 'service rear backup camera' while reversing and it occurs occasionally.

Have about6000miles on my 2019 gmc seirra denali 5.3. I'vebeen experiencing a very troubling issue been to the dealership once already and had a hard time convincing them that something was wrong with the truck .every time i drive for long periods of time or idle for 10+ mins when i shift from park to drivei cannot go faster than 5 mph without the rear brakes locking up. I do not know if this is some kind of limp mode or what.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving various speeds, the brake failure indicator illuminated and the vehicle would not immediately stop when depressing the brake pedal. Also, several warning indicators illuminated, including the power steering, abs, and trailer towing warning message indicating that the vehicle would not accelerate above 62 mph. In addition, the steering wheel became difficult to turn in either direction. The failure occurred on two separate occasions. The vehicle was taken to fairway chevrolet (3100 e. Sahara ave, las vegas, nv), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 1,400. The vin was invalid.

I had no issues with my truck until i went and had the most recent recall done for the brakes.i since have had brake issues twice.once, hours after having the recall done i got in my truck and started it and all the dashboard lights were illuminated and i had to push the brake pedal to the floor after accelerating.the other instance was a week later after remote starting my truck from the phone application had the same scenario play out.

Excessive brightness at night on back up camera when putting truck in reverse. Glare is so bright, i can't see anything in camera or my outside rear view mirrors. I have actually gotten out of my truck to make i am not going to back into something or someone. When it is raining atnight...forget it, you just guess what is back there and hope for the best. I hang a towel over it now when i back up at night, it is a $60,000.00 truck...wow.

Brand new 2019 gmc sierra at4, just under 14k miles. Upon starting the truck, the following warnings came on."brake system failure 62mph top speed", service trailer brake system", steering assist is reduced drive with care" service esc" check engine"i turned the trick off, opened and closed my door, then restarted.upon restart, everything was gone,no warnings.approximately 1.5 miles later i was at highway speeds (70mph) when all the messages returned. I attempted to brake but there was no response, pedal went nearly to the floor. I only survived the incident by shifting into manual, downshifting to engine brake, and standing on the what i'm guessing was 5 or 10 percent brake pedal. Luckily there was an empty lane for me to do this in.

Upon starting the vehicle and taking off after remotely starting it, multiple warnings popped up on the trucks dic. They were, system brake failure, trailer brake failure, esc failure, do not exceed 65mph warning. After seeing those i applied the brake to stop and the brake pedal went to floor leaving the truck without any type of braking power what so ever. After coasting to a stop i shut the truck off restarted it and the check engine icon was on. The brakes did work after the truck was shut off and restarted.

On april 2, 2019 i parked brefily for about 30 minutes. Upon re-entering my 2019 gmc sierra truck with approximately 4500 miles and starting the engine i immediately received multiple warning messages on my dash panel. They were "service esc" "service trailer brake", "brake system failure" "steering assist reduced" and to drive no faster than 62 mph.previously prior to parking i had never had any problems whatsoever. I was in a location where i needed to go so i attempted to drive but found quickly that the brake pedel went all the way to the floor with very limited or basically no braking. The steering became very difficult with no apparent power assist. I drove it approximately two miles and got to a location where i could park. I turned the engine off and back on and the problem did not go away. I turned it off again and waited a couple of minutes and then heard an automated couple of clunk sounds from the front.. I started it up and everything was okay except the check engine light was on and stayed on the rest of evening. The next morning the check engine light was still on however about twenty minutes later i noticed it was off and everything has been fine since. I had planned to take it to the gmc dealer however with no problem showing now and from past experience with the dealerships i decided there was no need to schedule an appointment until the symptoms come back. I found on the internet later that there are numerous instances where this has happened to many other 2019 gmc sierra owners. I feel that this is a extremely serious problem that needs immediate attention especially with the near total braking system failure!

Service esc warning on dashservice trailer brake on dashbrake system failure - 62 mph top speed warning on dashsteering assist reduced drive with care on dashrestarted truck and check engine light came on

When truck is turned on dash says service esc brake system and service 4 wheel drive will not disengage from 2 wheel drive and parking brake is engaged and will not disengage and truck will not move. Infotainment screen will freeze up and not be able to change radion navigation etc

Truck parked in morning, turned it on and multiple warnings came on, service trailer brake system, service esc, brake system failure at 62mph,got warning from onstar that there is an issue with my antilock braking system, i took pictures of error but only could upload one.

Upon acceleration my "service esc" indicator lights came on and my brakes became nearly unusable and loose steering. I pulled into a gas station and after 5 minutes the error cleared. This happened the previous week and the dealer said they could not find any codes in the computer.

I started my car and i had 4 messages appear on the dash stating(service esc, service trailer brake, brake system failure-62 mph top speed and steering assist reduced drive with care).i attempted to drive the vehicle in my neighborhood and noticed that i had lost power steering and when i went to brake there was a delayed response.it took the vehicle approximately 4 to 5 feet to come to a stop after braking.also the abs, check engine, brake and traction control lights were illuminated.i immediately tried to drive back home and when i drove in to my driveway, i smashed on the brakes and i almost drove through my garage because the vehicle would not stop immediately.i tried to press my onstar button for road assistance and lost all electrical power.i contacted onstar with my phone and had the vehicle towed to the dealership where i purchased the vehicle.currently the vehicle is there being diagnosed for the problem.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated while exiting a parking lot multiple warning lights illuminated including the abs warning light, traction control warning, service engine soon warning light, and trailer brake warning light. A message was also displayed which stated do not exceed over 60 mph. The contact stated while approaching a traffic light, the brake pedal was depressed but went to the floorboard but failed to stop the vehicle. The contact called to gurley leep gm giant located at gurley leep gm giant, (574) 271-3700, and made the dealer aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was informed of failure. The failure mileage was 12,575.

Four days after having a recall performed i was getting an error for my ecs and abs being disabled.the truck lost almost complete control of braking.i took it back to the dealership to be reprogrammed and the same thing happened a week later.both times this happened when the truck was first started.

On april 21st a pressurized line leading from the engine to the engine cooler failed and the engine suffered rapid oil loss leading to engine failure. This appears to be a frequent issue with 2019 sierras and silverados (the new body style): https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/222403-2019-silverado-trailboss-53l-engine-oil-cooler-line-failure/the truck was moving at approximately 35mph on a straight surface street at the time of failure. Mileage was only 5,500 miles. Other impacted owners seem to believe it is a failure of a poorly designed crimp connector. It's been 15 days since the incident and my vehicle isn't repaired yet. Other owners report waiting close to 30 days for gm to decide how to proceed.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While attempting to accelerate at highway speeds above 50 mph, the speed would not immediately increase and the vehicle drastically hesitated to accelerate. The failure occurred in sixth, seventh, and eighth gears. The vehicle was taken to ancira gmc (30500 i-10 w, boerne, tx) where the failure was duplicated. The contact was informed that the vehicle was operating normally. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,800.

I have had the 2019 sierra 1500 at4 with 6.2 liter engine in the shop (8) times since purchasing it in late aug 2019 for multiple issues, including the issues relating to the brake software recall.this resulted in me rolling through a stop sign without any brakes.luckily there was no oncoming traffic.as an engineer, i have no confidence that the issue has been fixed long term by gm.my family will no longer ride in the truck with me. As a result, i have retained an attorney for the purpose of filing suit against gm for selling me an unsafe lemon. Even further concerning is the fact that on (2) occasions the parking brake has engaged while driving down the highway at 55 mph.one time while in 4wd in snow, and the other time while in 2wd on dry pavement.the first time there was a diagnostic code associated with the parking brake engaging randomly.the second time, there was no diagnostic code present. The first issue with braking began 11/14/2019, and the most recent issue occurred on 2/2/2020 even after all recall "fixes" have been applied.

Started truck and many services lights came on service esc, brakes lights, steering lights all warnings.on star called and said i had a brake failure.i was backing out of driveway and could hardly stop the truck as i was approaching the road

While driving down road, sudden message of "no oil pressure, turn off engine immediately".was able to pull over with no power (luckily it was safe to do so at the time).left a large puddle of oil underneath the front of the vehicle.also, left large cloud of smoke from oil splashing on hot components underneath vehicle (exhaust, etc...) behind me.vehicle was undriveable and had to be towed.large oil leak was the result of a burst oil cooler line.dealer did not show me the failed part.unable to confirm nature of "burst".

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 2,100. The vin was not available.consumer stated taking from stop @ 25-30mph, vehicle came to a complete stop. Also in reverse, no traffic and wasn't going 55 mph.

Brand new truck with less than 1250 miles on it! abs brakes failed. Forced to drive on dangerous grade down sierra nevadas with very limited braking. Message not to drive over 62 mph. Error code c0580 abs braking and stability system, issue with abs and error code p25a2 ecm engine system - engine & transmission not performing as expected. Other codes includec2a17, u0100 u026a & u0415. Gmc knows about the problem and they have possible fix but is not issuing a recall. Dealer indicates reprogramed the brake system control module.war code 28yn28687675. Cleared the dtc and roadtest. Found the lights did not come back on and the brack system is working ok (just "ok") now. Also, gmc will not confirm the problem will not reoccur again.

Purchesed a 2019 gmc at4 6.2 w/16300 miles on it on april 19, 2021. Yesterday w/18700 miles are began to exprience a loud ticking sound coming from my engine. The ticking is associated with a failed lifter or lifters. Had to get my truck towed to the dealership for repair.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500.the contact stated that while driving 45-65 mph, the brake pedal was hard to depress. The steering wheel was difficult to turn. The abs and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The check engine message, power reduced, and brake system failure-service esc messages were displayed. The vehicle was taken several times to brown automotive group (4300 s georgia st, amarillo, tx 79110, (806) 353-7211) to be diagnosed. Several codes were reset and an unnamed wire was replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 15,520. Invalid vin.

When put into reverse, the screen from backup camera is overly bright making it difficult to use the side mirrors as the operators night vision is compromised.

2019 gmc at4.problem occurs at night.when putting the truck in reverse, the display monitor on the dash turns to full brightness (and cannot be turned down).it is very hard to even see the side mirrors due to the blinding brightness of the dash display.there needs to be a fix to this problem as it makes backing up at night very challenging.

Putting vehicle in reverse turns the interior display brightness (reverse camera) on as bright as it goes, like a flashbulb going off right in your face. This is especially dangerous at night and leaves temporary blindness which affects the ability to see out into the darkness afterwards. There is no ability to adjust the brightness of the interior display. I can even turn the display off and shifting into reverse turns the camera back on with maximum brightness.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the lane departure signal was supposed to blink three times, but it only blinked once. In addition, the lane departure signal functioned correctly intermittently. The vehicle was taken to demontrond buick gmc (14101 north fwy, houston, tx 77090, (281) 607-1716) to be diagnosed, but the failure could not be replicated. The dealer stated that the vehicle was fine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,400.

When backing up in the dark the backup camera goes to full brightness and is very disorienting and makes using you mirrors very difficult since your eyes are adjusted to the dark. Using the backup camera screen is useless due to how bright it is. Happens when vehicle is stationary or in motion.

The backup camera on the infotainment system is blindingly bright at night.when you put the truck in reverse the backup camera pops up on the infotainment screen and blinds you making it a huge safety hazard as you cannot see anything out your mirrors.this needs corrected so there is a brightness control to allow the screen to be dimmed so that you can see when backing up.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving in the snow the led headlamp covers became covered with snow which diminished the projection of the headlamp beam. The contact stated that the beam provided was inadequate for safe driving. There were no warning lights illuminated.the contact called king buick gmc located at (4175 byrd dr, loveland, co 80538 (970) 667-8905) and notified the dealer of the failure. The vehicle not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 1,800. The vin was not available.

I received a brake control module warning alert.the alert indicated my abs system was subject to failure and required a software patch.i see that the exact issue i had was subject to a recall of 463,000 similar year and model vehicles.despite the identical issue, it being related to a failure of their software the gmc website and my dealer refused to cover my vehicle claiming it was not part of the recall

Upon acceleration my "service esc" indicator lights came on and my brakes became nearly unusable and loose steering. I pulled into a gas station and after 5 minutes the error cleared. This happened the previous week and the dealer said they could not find any codes in the computer.

The transmission shifts hard from reverse to drive. Also from 1st to 2nd when accelerating and from 2nd to 1st when decelerating. The jerk from the hard shift feels like the vehicle has just been rear ended by another vehicle and his led me hitting objects with the vehicle numerous times.this has been going on since i purchased the truck in august of 2019 and has continued. I've taken the vehicle to the dealer who has explicitly stated that the protocol is to notate the issue only. No investigation beyond that has or will be performed.

Driving at roughly 3 miles per hour in 4 wheel high on a gravel road.the axle broke and the tire collapsed. I strongly believe something is defective. (maybe a weld issue?)

Transmission makes a noice like a kick when stops and sometimes when starts

Transmission shifts hard first 3 gears.rear end clunks brakes squeak when going in reverse when putting in reverse gear goes in hard seems to be doing more often

Every single day i back out of my driveway and when i shift into drive and step on the gas the truck moves forward slightly and the rpms wind up but the truck bogs down like it's got a fuel clog then it shifts into 2nd at a high rpm and jerks forward like someone popped a clutch.this is a major safety issue because once this winter it happened and the real wheels spun and the back end slid out on the ice and the nose of my truck wound up in the oncoming lane of traffic.dealer and gmc say that a 'hard shift' is a known issue and the truck is 'working as designed' and there is nothing they will do further.i have had it in the shop 3x already.i have read forums speaking of many people having similar issue with 2019 gmc trucks and no fix from gmc.this is not normal, safe and i'm sure no engineer designed this transmission to work this way.

Transmission shifting rough transmission shifting delay dealer company says transmission needs an update but they don't have the program

2019 gmc sierra with 56k miles when accelerating transmission seems to get stuck in first gear makes idol sounds rpms jump up then hard shift into second, makes the truck jerk when it happens, since the issue started it happens every time i drive it.i took it to local gmc dealership on 2/9/21 manager said 'yes it's a known issue with gmc & that year model trucks'2 days later called to see status of truck manger said his transmissionguy found the issue andfixed it said computer and transmission not talking to each other did a 'transmission relearn' was covered under power train warranty. Ihad the truck back less than 24 hours and now back to having the same issues again!clearly it's not fixed and concerning this is going to be a safety issue while driving! gmc 'known' issue then issue a recall and fix it right the first time!

Transmission feels sluggish and jerks. When coming to a stop feels like your being rear ended. Stereo system freezes and goes silent no sound what do ever

Transmission jerks into gear when slowing down. When speeding up truck will jerk. Service manager said it was normal. Truck feels like it the rear end falls out when stopping.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that while idle or during acceleration, the vehicle would independently surge forward without warning. The contact had taken the vehicle to master buick gmc (3710 washington rd, augusta, ga 30907) where on two separate occasions he was informed that the mechanics were aware of the failure however, there was no remedy for the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

Rear wheel brakes unexpectedly lock up after driving over a hour or more

While driving the transmission shifts very hard. And when starting to accelerate from a stop the transmission slips.

The transmissions will shudder and delay shifting gears. I have pulled into a parking lot and put it in park, then i realize i'm a foot back i put it back in drive, the car doesn't do anything for a second then it lurches forward in an unsafe / uncontrolled manner. Often backing out of the driveway, then putting it into park and the same delay then launch happens. Gm has serviced it 3 times and the problems still exist but the shifting is now much more rough than before. The problem & risk continue today.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle loss motive power with the check engine warning light intermittently illuminated. The contact stated that on most occasions, he would be able to restart the vehicle and resume normal driving soon after failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer on 4 separate occasions and each time the contact was given a different diagnosis. Despite the several diagnoses, the failure persisted after each visit. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and each time referred him back to the same dealer. The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000. The vin was unavailable.

Recently purchased a 2019 gmc sierra and it shifts hard at lower speeds or when moving from a stopped position and then accelerating, or when decelerating. While parking the car at one point the shift was so hard that it felt like a hit, and then the kids confusedly asking "what was that?".gm is giving us the runaround and unwilling to fix what i have now found out, has been a known problem.they based everything out of what the modules report when the car is hooked up to the computer. Basically, if the modules are ok then the car is reportedly ok. Not the case.

Transmission slipping turning corners at 5 mph, transmission slip take off at hill stop sign, transmission hard shift 2nd to 3rd gear intermitted and vibration 45 mph to 55 mph

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving 10 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise and the vehicle began to hesitate. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle downshifted from third to first gear independently. The vehicle was taken to geoff penske buick gmc (located at 100 s museum rd, shillington, pa 19607, (610) 370-6673) to be diagnosed, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 5,500. The consumer stated when at a traffic light car, it clunks and dropping into first gear when coming to a stop.when stopping for traffic the transmission seems to 'clunk' as if it is in a higher gear and then drops into first after the vehicle comes to a stop. Feeling like the gears are moving when the vehicle is not. When leaving a stop it sometimes hesitate and the engine will rev like it is in neutral then quickly lunge forward at times so hard it feels like it has been hit from behind.

While driving the vehicle 21oct2020 it started whining and jerking. I called the dealership to have it checked they couldn't see us, so we took it to a different gmc dealership that said the codes had not been updated, they preformed the recall and said it should be fine. Two days later it started jerking again and shut off when stopped at a light. I took it to the gmc dealership we bought it from on the 28oct2020 and i was told that the truck was fine, and that the diagnostics showed no problems whatsoever. The tech said he would drive it out of the bay, if brittany would open the door and before he could drive it through the garage bay area and out the garage bay door the truck made a crazy loud noise, jerk to a sudden stop and the transmission went out, and the truck would not restart at all and had to be towed out of the bay door. The 2019 truck has had 5 recalls for safety issues and with 40,000 miles the transmission went all the way out and the truck has been sitting there at the dealership for over a month waiting on the new transmission to come from gmc. I go in and see the transmission recall on so many 8 speed transmission which this truck has, and now i feel like i was sold a lemon and no one seems to care. % recalls and the transmission goes out completely at 40,000 miles. I am so upset about it that i do not even want the truck anymore. It is going to ruin my resale value and the lemon law should apply on a truck one year old. I have filed complaints with the dealership, and now on their front door is a sign that says they will not honor the warranty policies on any vehicle they sold after november 15, 2020. Of course they sold me zurich extended warranty too, and i can promise i will never buy gmc again. I also have a 2017 pathfinder almost paid off, that i am giving to my daughter, and i was going to get an gmc arcadia but not a chance now.

You can constantly feel a bump, clunk & transmission slip when going from reverse to drive. This is dangerous as i was pulling a small boat and it came off the hitch hitting the trucks tailgate and causing damage to it. This will happen seconds after drive is already engaged. After 3rd time i took to dealer the mechanic gave me a gmc memo that states that this is normal for this model truck to do this. Mechanic stated gm has known about this issue for years. Are you kidding me ? sounds like poor engineering. I was never told this would happen pre purchase or i would of never bought the truck. Have had constant problems with this truck since i bought it. Have had the seat belt pillar cover fall off 3 times dealer says they will change seatbelt, waiting over 2 months and no parts or repair. I have a warning to service brake pad sensor monitor. Took to dealer and they say they can't get parts for it yet because gm is on strike and have been waiting for parts and repair for over 2 months . Have had a steering wheel column warning also. Dealer blames everything on software issue. My diagnostic report each month states truck is in perfect order even though i have had a warning light for over 2 months !!!!! now there is a recall for the seatbelt pretensioner that it might cause a fire ! what a piece of junk this truck is i tried to support the american economy by buying an american truck and look what i get ! i should of bought a toyota tundra !!!!!!!

2019 gmc sierra shifts extremelyhard when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear when accelerating after sitting idle for a long period of time. I took the vehicle to romain gmc in evansville, in and they stated that gm says this is how the transmission normally operates. This has the potential to be a safety issues as the engine goes into high revs and slams into gear, risking losing control of the vehicle, especially during icy or snowy conditions. This issue occurs daily, sometime multiple times a day.

First feeling was, i was driving in a parking lot going maybe 5 miles an hour and i felt a vibration in the brake pedal. Pulled onto the main road and approached a stop light when the truck stopped a little hard as i was depressing the brake pedal.as i started pressing on the gas when the light turned green, i was traveling around 35 mph or so, when the truck came to a complete stop in which myself & passenger were slightly thrown forward due to the abrupt stop for no apparent reason.the vehicle in back of me nearly rear ended me due to the abrupt stop the truck did.i immediately contacted the dealer, in which after several days in the shop, the dealer told me that gmc knew about this particular issue but has not issued a recall.the dealer was instructed to replace the transmission control module, due to a malfunction in the tcm that apparently was trying to shut the truck down completely. Therefore causing the truck to stop abruptly with no warning.

Vehicle with 8-speed transmission bucks or lurches when shifting up or down from first to second gear. Sometimes it feels like it is in a collision when this occurs. Dealer referred to bulletin #4605342 and said this was normal.

Transmission shakes rattles and jerks and has since i got it brand new. Intermittent issue normally but sometimes it's extremely aggressive and legitimately causes a whiplash motion

When i started my vehicle this morning, i got a warning of brake failure that came up on my dic; this has been happening a lot. I just took the truck in last week for the 4th time and they did another update due to the last recall that was put out by gm. Nothing seems to be working with this brake issue. The brake pedal at times seems to have difficulty when i'm starting the truck. I did not use my remote start on any of the issues i'm having.the truck was parked in my drive way yet it's also happening at various places around town as well.

Had serious braking issue power brake all at once reduced brake efficiency almost ran into oncoming traffic before i got stopped check engine light came on and warning in info box came on gm even describes this problem in the owners manual is in shop now 11/19/19 howard bentley albertville al was moving

Took my truck for a recall at the gmc dealer yesterday for both seatbelt tensioner and to update the brake system. After that earlier today after a red light i got a bunch of warning lights. The warning lights for brake system failure, service esc, traction control off, and service trailer brake system came on.brakes all of a sudden got really weak almost crashed had to brake way earlier than i need to and drive slow. Truck was running great until i got the recall done.

Transmission shifts hard first 3 gears.rear end clunks brakes squeak when going in reverse when putting in reverse gear goes in hard seems to be doing more often

After having a recall issue fixed on the abs braking system of my truck, i remoted started it from gm's onstar app, which caused the dashboard to light up like a christmas tree and give a number of errors, including a solid engine light. Gm onstar diagnosis identified that there is now another issue in the abs braking system. There has been no mechanical failure at this point, but i am concerned their maybe as others with this same issue have seen mechanical failure.

New truck, gmc 1500 denali, 1100 miles, started vehicle with multiple warning sounds & warning lights, dash says "brake system failure 62mph top speed", service trailer brake system", steering assist is reduced drive with care" service esc", braking was completely reduced& needed hard press on brake to try and get vehicle to stop. Very diminished braking. Vehicle was stationary in a parking lot when this happened on restart.

On 6/24 i drove my 2019 gmc sierra denali truck 2 miles to the store was in there 10 minutes come out to start it and a esc service warning message appeared then another message appeared say service power steering drive safethen my traction light came on then my trailer light i tried turning truck off then waited 2 minutes pumped brakes started it again same messages appeared i called my husband to tell him i said i will try to drive home as i preceeded to put in gear and back out of parking spot i lost my steering it froze up then lost my brakes i immediatelyput in gear turned off called husband to come get me as i was waiting i tried to start again when i did all messages were gone and i had steering as well.as brakes but at this point i was a an emotional wreck we just had a horrific scare in same truck on a major interstate my husband completely lost brakes and almost wrecked only to find there was a brake module reprogrammingrecall on the truck we had not been notified by mail yet so now this if i was driving on main road this could have been fatal so my husband called and dropped off vehicle on 6/25 told them every detail they said they call when done so on july 6th was told truck was ready when he arrived they handed him our keys andinvoice said have nice day my husband got to truck read invoice only to find they did nothing to truck he went in to service said why isn't it fixed they said because no codes come up but if it happens again bring it back my husband said what if im driving it and it happens this can cause a fatal accident the service mgr said just bring it in so he said so if my wife gets callhet husband was killed along with another family because his steering and brakes failed your going to tell her sorry for loss truck had no codes is now we have a truck we paid $58500.00 that is unsafe to drive i refuse to put my life or others in jeopardy im an emotionalwreck i spent 2 days sick with worry can anyone help with guide us to some help

Picked up my 2019 sierra at4. I drove it off the lot, got about 3 miles. Stopped to get myself a cup of coffee. Got back into the truck, started it and the check engine light came on, the brake system failure, the abs light, traction control etc. Called the dealer and was told to bring it back. (mind you, i've only actually owned the 63k truck for an hour)i bring the truck back, they take it in for about 20 mins and then the mechanic takes the car for a test drive. He's gonna about 15 minutes or so, comes back and says the truck is good. They fixed a recall recently but never "reset the computer" he says "you're good to go"i drive the 30 minutes home, pull up to the house, turn the truck off. Go inside to get my little ones because they want to go for a ride in daddy's new truck.. We go outside, i start the truck, and it's the same thing these are the codes that came up. It has been back to the dealer 3 times and they havem't found any issue. This is dangerous and something needs to be done. Service escservice trailer brakebrake system failure - 62 mph top speedsteering assist reduced drive with care

Was not notified by gm concerning the recall for the electronic parking brake service light coming on. Light came on this morning after starting the vehicle in the driveway. Researched the internet to discover there was a recall. Had a recall concerning the brake pad life completed recently.

I was driving to work in snowy conditions and on a very slight bend on a flat public highwaymy truck starting sliding and as i turned the wheel and applied the brakes the usual action of antilock brakes did not work as intended allowing me to steer clear of the obstacle causing me to wreck.2018 gmc sierra 1500

Started truck and many services lights came on service esc, brakes lights, steering lights all warnings.on star called and said i had a brake failure.i was backing out of driveway and could hardly stop the truck as i was approaching the road

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that after the vehicle was restarted the vehicle experienced a brake system failure. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed but failed to operate to slow the vehicle as intended. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to town and county gmc (1040 paseo del pueblo sur taos, taos nm) who reprogrammed the brake module however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 12,000.

While driving my truck approximately 45 mph on a street, i heard the vehicle notification alarm sound, i looked down at the dash and had several warning lights illuminated:i had four messages:service escservice trailer brakebrake system failure - 62 mph top speedsteering assist reduced drive with care lights on dash that were illuminatedabs check enginebraketraction controlbefore i could read each warning light, a red stop light was approaching. I was at that time i pressed on the brakes and realized that my brakes were extremely spongey. I figured i only had about 10% braking power. With my two year old in the back seat, i pushed as hard as i could to stop my truck. Luckily, by the grace of god, i was able to stop my truck without rear ending the car in front of me. My truck was then towed to the dealership. I bought the truck 5 days prior. My truck has approximately161 miles on it. The dealer told me the next day i needed a new master cylinder and hydro boost. Probably the absolute worse component to fail on the driver while the vehicle is in motion.

Random intermittent vehicle brake failure. I have experienced random brake failure for 45 minutes at a time on my sierra.no codes or warnings are shown when it happens.occurs while driving, and random.condition creates an extremely hard peddle with extremely reduced braking power.safe stopping distance is increased at least 3 fold.vehicle brakes will start working again if truck is left parked and ignition off after 30 minutes.i brought the truck into the servicing dealer, they drove it 30 miles and a week later, gm instructed me to pick my truck back up after no repairs do to they could not duplicate.i expressed extreme concern about safety, and gm stance is, "no codes no problem".i was instructed by gm to simply bring it back in when my brakes fail again.2 weeks later, my brakes failed again, creating a dangerous situation.once again, the truck corrected itself after sitting with the ignition off for 30 minutes.i brought it back to the dealer, and they drove it and "could not duplicate customer concern" once again.once again i was instructed to bring the truck back in when the brakes fail during their open business hours so that they can see it for themselves.this is an extremely dangerous condition, and this truck should be off the road and concerning to gm, but it is not.through research, i have found many other people with the same truck year and model with the same problems, and gm is negligent towards our safety and the innocent people on the road.this new "e-boost" braking system needs to be investigated before my family or others are killed or injured by this defective system.brake failure occurred both times when attempting slowing down for curves and stopped traffic at highway speeds and persisted at all conditions until it reset itself after sitting off for 30 minutes.

At around 1500 miles my truck had a rotational noise which led into clicking the grinding and squealing, they changed out the front axle and all new brakes and rotors along with a braking software update. They assured me i should not have any more issues. Now at 4,300 miles i'm starting to have rotational noise again after driving about 1 hour, of course they cant duplicate noise. The truck has had 5 recalls and also a 4wd pump defective all with 4,300 miles. I am fearful that the brakes will fail

After starting my 2019 gmc sierra, i received a number of warnings including:1. Service trailer brake system2. Steering assist is reduced drive with care3. Service esc4. Brake system failure 62 mph top speed5. Check engine lightas i started to drive, i realized i had a very difficult time stopping as i had to press the brake very hard.i was in a parking lot and only going 5 - 10 mph, but still had difficulty stopping.i took the vehicle to the dealership.they investigated the issue and made a software update working directly with gm.five days after picking my vehicle up, i received a call from the dealership saying that gm does not have a permanent fix for the issue and that i may experience brake failure again.my vehicle is back at the dealer without a solution or timeframe for repair.

After starting my truck i got the following messagesservice escservice trailer brakebrake system failure - 62 mph top speedsteering assist reduced drive with carethought i would just limp it home although after leaving my parking spot i realized that i had almost no brakes at a all. I re parked the truck and had it towed to the dealership which is telling me that they reset the codes but that there is a possibility of it happening again. No brakes at highway speeds would be disastrous!

On 5/28/19 i filled my 2019 gmc sierra denali at the local gas station. As usual i turned the vehicle off. After fueling, i started the vehicle and began pulling out of gas station. Upon exiting i lost all braking power and the pedal went to the floor. I was going approx. 5 mph. I pulled over and had to step on the brake pedal until it was on the floor with extreme force. The check engine light also appeared on the dashboard. At approx. 4:41pm i recieved an onstar email with an antilock brake problem. Email suggested i take the vehicle for service within 7 days. I had gmc roadside tow the truck from my home to the nearest dealer(staten island buick gmc) i leased the vehicle from coleman buick gmc and when i contacted them i was told they couldn't help and the dealer the truck was towed to is still gm. I also contacted gm customer service. Received a case # and waiting to be contacted. As per coleman the vehicle has recalls for a trailer brake module and park assist. As per si buick gmc they could not find any computer codes. The hydraulic test showed no issues. They claim to have upgraded the computer and the truck was safe to drive as of 5/30. They want to test drive again on 5/31 and i assume i'll be asked to pick up my truck. I find this to be unacceptable and a major safety issue. Thankfully i was going 5mph when i lost full braking. I was told if the issue happens again to bring the truck back in for diagnostics and repair as needed. This safety issue can potentially cause physical injury and or prove to be fatal. Depending on technology to determine braking capacity is absurd. 2019 gmc sierra also have electrical problems duly noted by customers. Forums also mark the same braking problems have occurred with other owners in different states. A recall should be issued for the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians! lives are at risk and a recall is needed!

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While the vehicle was in a parking lot, the brake pedal failed to depress and stop the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to burns buick (500 w rte 70, marlton, nj 08053, (856) 432-0330), but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The failure mileage was 7,085.

4 messages appeared on digital dash while driving.service esc, brake system failure 62 mph top speed, service trailer brake system, steering assist reduced.i had to press brake pedal to the floor with extremely excessive force to get truck to stop.note that none of the 4 messages state the vehicle will be extremely difficult to stop or shouldn't be driven, but rather the vehicle wouldn't exceed 62 mph.it should have reduced the speed to much less, maybe 10 to 15 mph.this failure could have easily resulted in vehicle accident, or even a fatality accident.i doubt i will ever carry my family in the truck again due to this and i certainly will not allow my children to drive the truck.

I had to keep pumping the brakes down to floorboard and i'm not sure they were even working as i coasted safely off side of road to a stop, i turned engine off immediately calling my dealership service department. I wouldn't drive it any further as i felt i had no brakes whatsoever.dealership had it towed to their shop. The next afternoon i spoke with them. They stated it was a known issue and that a recall had been issued (see recall number below) but i never received it. I did receive a seat belt recall so i know they have my correct address. I was told it was some problem with a module and i can come puck truck up. It was scary when it happened. I purchased this pickup new on august 21, 2019. Recall number: recall-n192268090 (per dealership service department)

When i was at a stop light on a city street and i pressed the gas pedal, the brakes locked itself and i could only go 5mph. This is the fourth time it has happened.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc savana. The contact stated that while driving at 5 mph, several warning lights illuminated in the instrument panel. The contact attempted to depress the brake pedal which failed to operate as intended. The vehicle was taken to bert ogden buick gmc 4216 us-281, edinburg, tx 78542 (956)205-0761 to be diagnosed which was still pending. The vehicle was not repaired.the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.*dt

Rear wheel brakes unexpectedly lock up after driving over a hour or more

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While exiting a fuel station in reverse and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to stop immediately. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, but the failure continued. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact called orange buick gmc (located at 3883 w colonial dr, orlando, fl 32808, (407) 680-2090) and informed them of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,500. The vin was not available.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced an unintended acceleration and would surge forward. The vehicle also experienced a brake failure causing the vehicle to erroneously drive. During the failure, the messages "trailer brake failure" and "do not driver past 60 mph"had massage had displayed. The local dealer bob robinson chevrolet (155 robinson dr. After starting my 2019 gmc sierra, i received a number of warnings including: 1. Service trailer brake system 2. Steering assist is reduced drive with care 3. Service esc 4. Brake system failure 62 mph top speed 5. Check engine light as i started to drive, i realized i had a very difficult time stopping as i had to press the brake very hard. I was in a parking lot and only going 5 - 10 mph, but still had difficulty stopping. I took the vehicle to the dealership. They investigated the issue and made a software update working directly with gm, which is now a current recall.the truck has done it again as of today so the sw fix is obviously not correct.

I own a 2019 gmc sierra denali 1500 crew cab. After starting my vehicle and beginning my journey home. Sever warning indications of problems came on my dashboard system.while driving, the brake failure indicator illuminated and the vehicle would not immediately stop when depressing the brake pedal. Also, several warning indicators illuminated, including the power steering, service esc, brake system failure 62 mph top speed, steering assist is reduced drive with care, service trailer brake system, abs, and trailer towing warning message indicating that the vehicle would not accelerate above 62 mph. In addition, the steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn in either direction.

Truck parked in morning, turned it on and multiple warnings came on, service trailer brake system, service esc, brake system failure at 62mph,got warning from onstar that there is an issue with my antilock braking system, i took pictures of error but only could upload one.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to slow or stop the vehicle, the brake pedal was firm which required added effort in slowing the vehicle. The vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v889000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control, service brakes). The vehicle was repaired however, after leaving the dealer and while driving at 65 mph, the brake failure warning light illuminated and the brake function became reduced. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired a second time. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,621.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving approximately 40 mph, the entertainment system went out. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, the failure did not recur. Service esc warning on dashservice trailer brake on dashbrake system failure - 62 mph top speed warning on dashsteering assist reduced drive with care on dashrestarted truck and check engine light came on

Ichecked for warninglights there were none .brakesdid not work properly until i restartedtruck .then i felt the pedal reactedproperly . Called dealer they did a recall but recall didn'tspecifically matchmy brake loss. I can only hope it's fixed

I doubt i will ever carry my family in the truck again due to this and i certainly will not allow my children to drive the truck.this is the 5th time this has happened to my truck.

Vehicle was 300 miles out of warranty when i get a service trailer brake warning on my info centerreplaced a blown fuse and the fuse blows again, no trailer has ever been hooked up to this truck. Went online and inquired about this problem and there's thousands of post and complaints about this problem, even on a gm site there's a pi investigation about this problem, why doesn't gm just do a recall to fix a problem they know about. I'm getting ready to buy a travel trailer and now i don't know if its safe to pull it!

Brand new truck, at4, 15k miles, 5 months old.was very cold today outside, was in a store and started vehicle remotely.came outside to a running vehicle, sat in drivers seat and pressed start button.noticed multiple warning sounds/lights, dash read "brake system failure 62mph top speed", service trailer brake system", steering assist is reduced drive with care" service esc".the abs, check engine, brake and traction control lights were also illuminated.i immediately called my local gmc dealer (who is 5 miles away) and read them all the messages and asked if the vehicle was safe to drive to their location.after a brief hold, the service tech stated the vehicle was safe to drive over. I attempted to drive the vehicle out onto rt6.while still in the parking lot, traveling approx 10-15mph i was barely able to stop the vehicle.it took my full power on the peddle to stop, and approximate 20-30 feet of distance before it stopped fully. I immediately called the service tech back and informed her that the vehicle was not safe to drive with 5% or so break capacity.she provided the gm number for roadside assistance.the truck was towed to their shop a short time ago and i am awaiting their feedback. On a side note, i waited in the truck as i did not want to shut it down, i wanted the service tech to see exactly what was on the screen. After about 30 mins, with me in the drivers seat with the keys, the truck shut itself off.when it restarted the messages were gone, but the check engine light remained.luckily i took photos and video recorded this issue prior to.the loss of brakes for any issue should be treated with the uttermost care for safety of the general public. This seemly known issue will (if not already) result in injury or death if not corrected quickly.

June 27th i was leaving a gas station in novato ca with my daughter and father in the truck.i slowly started moving through the station and noticed my brakes were almost completely gone.fortunately i was close to home so i dropped down to first gear and slowly motored home to wait for the tow truck.i had the truck towed to the novato chevy dealership and they could find nothing wrong with the truck.i then began the process of requesting gm to buy this truck back and its definitely not going to be a short process.im still currently driving this thing with no diagnosis of any brake issue.my wife won't even get into the truck.i absolutely love this truck and wish there was a definitive answer to what happened.gm corporate said if it happens again to please bring it into the dealership for eval.if it happens again?!!! im not complaining about the air cooled seats not working properly! i drive a fire engine for a living and my job is to keep others safe.now i'm having to drive this thing while waiting for gm to step up and buy this back before the brakes go out again.i suppose someone will have to die before gm acknowledges there's an issue here.

The contact owned a 2019 gmc sierra. The contact had a recall for the brakes and had them repaired. The vehicle was sitting in a parked position and everything shut down. The vehicle had no power for about 25 minutes before it was able to be restarted. The panel stated that the vehicle was shut down for a manufacturer reset. The vehicle was driven and the brakes malfunctioned while making a left-hand turn. The vehicle crashed head on into another vehicle. The contact stated that he believed the other driver had broke his foot but refused to be transported to the hospital. A police report was filed. The insurance company totaled the vehicle.the contact stated that he sustained scrapes and bruises. He was seen by an orthopedic doctor. The manufacturer was contacted and they said could not determine from the vehicle's black box what caused the accident. The unknown dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was currently being inspected by engineering firm hired out by the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 10,000.

Multiple warnings popped up on the screen telling me "brake system failure" "ecu failure" "trailer brake failure" and "max speed 62 mph." after that the brakes become almost non-functional. I had to stand on the pedal with both feet and was unable to slow down enough (45 mph traffic) to had to go into the e-lane to avoid an accident. Truck also gave dtc p25a2. I can't stress enough that it wasn't just degraded braking, it was almost nothing at all. It took nearly 1/8th of a mile to get it stopped on a mild downhill grade.

Four days after having a recall performed i was getting an error for my ecs and abs being disabled.the truck lost almost complete control of braking.i took it back to the dealership to be reprogrammed and the same thing happened a week later.both times this happened when the truck was first started.

Vehicle is in motion and pedal is depressed coming up to a stop.when depressing the brake pedal it feels as if the abs is engaging.sometimes braking response is none existent.you can feel a surge in the pedal periodically when depressing the brake.

On two occasions the vehicle lost the power brakes function. Numerous dash alerts stating including "service esc" "brake system failure 62mph top speed" "service trailer brake system" "steering assist is reduced drive with care" along with a check engine light. The brakes pedal had to be pushed to the floor to slowly come to a stop. Both times were in a parking lot. One of which times i was moving. Dec 26th and again on jan 16th 2019. The vehicle was towed to the dealership on both incidents.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving approximately 25 mph and attempting to brake, the brake pedal traveled all the way to the floorboard. Also, the abs, check engine, brake, and differential warning indicators illuminated. In addition, the service trailer brake system, service esc, steering assist reduced, drive with care and brake system failure system top speed 62 mph messages appeared on the message board. The vehicle was towed to ingersoll auto of danbury (84 federal rd, danbury, ct 06810). The same dealer repaired the vehicle on december 28, 2019 per nhtsa campaign numbers: 19v814000 (seat belts) and 19v889000 (service brakes, hydraulic, electronic stability control, service brakes). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 2,606.

When truck is turned on dash says service esc brake system and service 4 wheel drive will not disengage from 2 wheel drive and parking brake is engaged and will not disengage and truck will not move. Infotainment screen will freeze up and not be able to change radion navigation etc

Driving my 2019 sierra on a slightly snow covered road applied brakes and truck pulled to the right and antilock brakes never worked causing me to hit guard rail. Called insurance talked with dealer about what happened they said to contact gm customer service. Had my wrecked truck fixed and when gm got back to me they said there was nothing else they could do because i contacted my insurance instead of dealership???? now i have received another recall notice telling me my brakes are not responding properly. Guess i need a lawyer i don't know.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving 30 mph, the brake pedal was depressed to the floor but failed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle drove through a red traffic light. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stopped the vehicle while using the parking brake. The vehicle was taken to jack giambalvo buick gmc (1390 eden road, york, pa 17402, (717) 781-2154) and the dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated the vehicle would be towed to koons clarksville chevrolet buick gmc (12421 auto dr, clarksville, md 21029: (410) 988-9522) to be serviced which was still pending. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While pulling out of the parking lot, the brake warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to mcdonald gmc cadillac (5155 state st, saginaw, mi 48603, (989) 319-4136). The dealer tested the brakes, replaced the master cylinder, bled the brakes, performed a road test, and declared that the failure was remedied; however, the failure recurred during a road trip 200 miles away from home. During the failure, the brake pedal traveled all the way to the floorboard again and the warning indicator turned off. The contact managed to drive home slowly. The manufacturer was contacted and provided a case number. The manufacturer stated that a case manger would call back within two days. The failure mileage was 3,930. *tp

I received notice that there are two recalls out for my truck: a brake system recall and a forward camera/collision recall. Had both recalls performed and immediately the forward camera collision alert, lane keep and intellibeam systems didn't work. Delaer informed me there is a problem with the update and i need a new camera. That is on order and pending. More importantly, about 2 days after the updates the truck showed alerts about the brakes, traction control and stabilitrack systems. Upon driving the truck the power/vacuum assist system failed and the brake pedal nearly went to the floor beforeengaging brakes; i could barely stop. Returned the truck to the dealer and was told its a common issue with the brake recall update (the truck had no such symptoms before the update). If you check out various gm vehicle owner forums you will see scores of silverado and sierra owners with the same two issues post-update: no collision camera and sudden loss of brakes. There is a problem - a very dangerous problem - with these updates.

Driving at roughly 3 miles per hour in 4 wheel high on a gravel road.the axle broke and the tire collapsed. I strongly believe something is defective. (maybe a weld issue?)

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 75 mph, the steering wheel ceased with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact coasted to the side of the roadway and turned off the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to sterling buick gmc west located at (414 w fred & ruth zigler memorial dr, jennings, la 70546), but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.

Steering freeze up on me son hit an electric pole head on rolled over few times. The front air bags did not deploy and the left back tire was deployed with the rotor. This happened out of the city limits coming into town.

I have 48,000 miles on my truck , 2019 model. I just experience my steering wheel to get stiff without the possibility to maneuver it when it was stationary. My dash brings a two messages, " service esc," " service power steering." i went to the dealership to check if there has been any recalls and the answer the was negative. I did my research and on previous models there has been existing recalls on this electrical engineering issue. " 2018 gmc sierra models and below ," i sincerely feel this should be file as safety complaint. The vehicle is to new have this sort of issue. It's not a mechanical failure but a electrical engineering problem.

Upon acceleration my "service esc" indicator lights came on and my brakes became nearly unusable and loose steering. I pulled into a gas station and after 5 minutes the error cleared. This happened the previous week and the dealer said they could not find any codes in the computer.

Service power steering warning appears on dash and all power steering is lost.first time the power steering went out i was driving over railroad tracks.the second and third time the power steering went out it was mid turn and it force my truck off the road because i didn't expect it to happen.

Service esc warning on dashservice trailer brake on dashbrake system failure - 62 mph top speed warning on dashsteering assist reduced drive with care on dashrestarted truck and check engine light came on

When i go over certain humps in the road while grasping the steering wheel with both hands, the steering wheel slips out of its locking position and shifts up and down as i pass thru the hump.i have owned the vehicle 3 months and has happened on two occasions.while my vehicle is covered by warranty (so not looking for any monetary compensation) it almost caused me to lose control of my vehicle and seemed like a potential hazard for other drivers.

Started truck and many services lights came on service esc, brakes lights, steering lights all warnings.on star called and said i had a brake failure.i was backing out of driveway and could hardly stop the truck as i was approaching the road

Electronic power steering went out when taking an off ramp, transitioning from a cruising speed of 65 mph. Very difficult to navigate the turn and could have easily resulted in an accident if it had occurred in a heavy traffic situation or in adverse weather conditions.turned the vehicle off, sat for 15 minutes, started and the condition was gone. Took vehicle straight to dealer for repairs.

Driving my 2019 sierra on a slightly snow covered road applied brakes and truck pulled to the right and antilock brakes never worked causing me to hit guard rail. Called insurance talked with dealer about what happened they said to contact gm customer service. Sunroof exploded while driving.

Rear left roof is leaking into the interior of the cab. Water is / was noticed during rain and car wash. In the attached picture i have highlighted were the water is coming into the inside of the cab. Water can also be seen in the inside of the rear window and on the leather of the seats. This happens whether the vehicle is parked or driving. It was noticed at 1800 miles and its less then a month old.

Transmission slipping turning corners at 5 mph, transmission slip take off at hill stop sign, transmission hard shift 2nd to 3rd gear intermitted and vibration 45 mph to 55 mph

Back up camera gets fuzzy and has lines going through the screen when i hit the brakes. This is a safety issue as my nephew ran behind my truck and i could not see him.

Had serious braking issue power brake all at once reduced brake efficiency almost ran into oncoming traffic before i got stopped check engine light came on and warning in info box came on gm even describes this problem in the owners manual is in shop now 11/19/19 howard bentley albertville al was moving

My 2018 gmc sierra has vibration at highway speeds 60-75 mph. After several hours of driving the vibration can be felt as low a 20 mph and up to 75 mph.

The rear view camera is fish eyed and the resolution is terrible especially at night. The dealership at first said that the camera was operating, after contacting gmc they looked at it and now say there is a problem. Now i see that they are having problems with these camera.

The backup camera is not visible at night.it's grainy and blurry

When you reverse at night time...the backup camera comes on at maximum brightness and cannot be dimmed...blinding the driver

Rear view camera starting working intermittently. Took vehicle to dealer to repair. Dealer updated software and the problem persisted the same day. Random screen for just the backup camera will be either blacked out or blue stating to service rear camera system. Have taken my vehicle back to the same dealer three separate occasions to resolve this issue to no avail. Now that my warranty is expired they have a fix that will cost me out of pocket. They are offering cost assistance but the problem was never resolved in the first place.

A blue screen with the "service rear vision system" appeared intermittently when i put my truck in reverse. At first it would go away once the truck had restarted.i had the dealer service department check it out but they said they couldn't replicate it. The camera system is not always in a blue screen regardless if i select camera options from the infotainment menu or if when putting the truck in reverse.the dealer is currently having issues with gm providing the right "calibration" to fix this issue. When the camera was working, a strange issue occurred in addition to blue screens. The right side camera turned off and removed visibility from that side of the vehicle through the infotainment screen. I feel this is a huge safety issue since my visibility is severely hindered when reversing in dark or dense conditions.

The volume controls on the steering wheel keep getting stuck going up causing the volume to go all the way up and won't let you turn it down. This has caused me not to be able to play music because when i do it hurts my ears causing me to swerve.

This morning when i used the backup camera it was perfectly fine. Once i get to work and started backing up at a slight turn bc i was parking next to another vehicle it gave me a blue screen saying 'service rear vision system'. It also does this while stationary. This is a highly unsafe problem to me, because it doesn't allow me to operate the vehicle safely putting me and others at risk.

Gps infotainment screen is to bright at night and there is minimal adjustment that also dims the instrument cluster so that you can't see it and controls. After dimming everything together instrument cluster and the gps screen and placing the vehicle into reverse the screen goes into full brightness if you put it in drive the screen goes to the front camera and is dim like it was before placing it in reverse. There is no contrast or dim option for just the infotainment screen. The only option is auot day night all are very bright and dull gray looking lacking contrast. It's very difficult to drive at night with this screen blinding you non stop the only thing you can do is place a rag over it. I can't drive the truck at night it is very distracting to me and i don't feel safe.

After shutting vehicle off, there's loud noises coming from behind the steering wheel that sounds like relays.

Triadelphia wv) was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 3,100.

2019 gmc sierra 1500. Consumer writes in regards to poor visibility while towing. *ldthe consumer stated the vehicle was unfit for towing purposes, as there are no mirrors.

When put into reverse, the screen from backup camera is overly bright making it difficult to use the side mirrors as the operators night vision is compromised.

Vehicle is equipped with non hd camera. Which often is white out visibility in night time conditions. Lines sometimes appear on screen when brake is depressed.

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500. While driving approximately 5 mph, a "terrible noise" was heard. The rear driveshaft assembly connected to the differential came apart. The vehicle was taken to barker buick gmc (985-464-8194, located at 6444 w main st, houma, la 70360) where the rim, flange, and the wheel were replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the dealer performed the correct repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 10,400. Contacted gm customer assistence in and in conclusion said that the part was not defective and closed my complaint case no. 9-5277582246

Driving at roughly 3 miles per hour in 4 wheel high on a gravel road.the axle broke and the tire collapsed. I strongly believe something is defective. (maybe a weld issue?)

The contact owns a 2019 gmc sierra 1500.
