Struck a deer with the vehicle at approx. 75mph.the driver side airbag deployed.control of the vehicle was maintained and there was no sudden deceleration.the cover of the steering wheel, which bears a plastic gmc logo that is heavier than the rest of the material blew exactly on the corner of the g.due to the location of the split the logo hit my wrist like a hammer causing nerve damage and permanently stamping the gmc logo on my wrist.i currently possess all deployed srs components along with the acm that was in the vehicle at the time of deployment.the damage, aside from the srs components, was only to the bumper, grill, and condenser with minor damage to the core support where the bumper mounts (radiator, fenders, and hood were not impacted).i question the safety of the way the steering wheel split as the edge of the g has a sharp edge that could have potentially slit my wrist open.i also question the deployment of the bag due to no sudden deceleration and that if the bag had not been deployed there would have been no injury in this loss. Also i had previously had an issue where i started the vehicle on the first cold day, all warning lights on dash came on and advised me to service all systems.i turned off the vehicle and restarted and there was no warnings present.after the loss and repairs i experienced this same issue but it would not resolve by restarting the vehicle.they pulled codes at the dealership and performed a software update and i have not had this problem since.it was cold during the loss but the vehicle had been running several hours as i was driving cross country at the time.

Check engine came on and says manufacture specific issues/codes. Safety restrain system. P10e4

Takata recall : still waiting on a replacement. No action taken by the local dealer.the airbag is still intact, but the vehicle is stored outside in the southeast texas heat and i am concerned about its fragility because of this. Last contact with the dealer was in 2017

The contact owns a2018 gmc sierra. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, when another vehicle had collided with the contact's vehicle which resulted in the airbags not deploying. The contact stated no warning lights were illuminated. The contact sustained a head injury and did require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000. The vin was not available.vehicle has been repaired.

My truck locked itself with the engine running when i was parked in the driveway.also have had the back driver side window roll itself down part ways without me initiating it.another occasion i put the truck in gear to drive position and the brake or something had it locked preventing me from moving either direction ie; drive or reverse. Was then parked in home garage and attempting to back out.

My vehicle is hacked anytime i am driving the vehicle i am not in full control. The vehicle steers itself left or right while driving, the brakes are always on while driving sometimes braking harder but always on. The infotainment system has many glitches. This vehicle has been back to the dealership more than 15 times has been out of service over 35 days gm even flew a engineer/tech to inspect the vehicle and says they couldnt find anything. Therefore this vehicle is hacked there are so many issues and glitches and the fact that the truck only acts like this when i am driving no one else. Like it can be turned on and off instantly. I have tons of videos pictures and supporting documents backing this. I need help this is a serious issue and there is so much more to it than i can type here someone please get ahold of me to help or point me in the right direction. This vehicle will be returned to gm soon as they are doing a vehicle replacment per all the issues but this needs further attention because if this can happen to me it can happen to anyone . Please help

The first thing that happened was that all of the electrical systems on my truck went out and my truck would not start. It finally started but it would not move finally it would move but very slowly this happened on 11/20/2019 i have documentation through onstar for this incident.my brakes started slipping on 07/01/2020 and still do not work properly.my transmission has never shifted correctly. When i accelerate or when i slow down there is a shudder and a jerking sound. After sitting for a while when my truck is put in reverse it hesitates and then seems to jump into gear.

When driving vehicle at any speed it steers to the left or right . Not a simple alignment pull or wander i can feel the wheel as to which way it wants to steer at random. If not paying attention or if you were to let go of the steering wheel it will go off the road absolutly not safe to drive. While accelerating the vehicle feels like the brakes are being applied and does not accelerate i have to give excessive gas petal throttle to get up to speed. There have been times i have came home from as short drive and i can smell the brakes they smell burnt hot. One instance i was merging onto the highway and the truck struggled to get up to 60mph i had the petal floored and the truck would not go over 65mph the engine was @ 5000rpm maxed out it would not shift nor go faster than 65mph. Randomly transmission thunks thud and slams into gears when the automatic transmission is shifting at low speed below 50. While driving truck feels like the drive tran is bound up like brake is applied on individual wheel(s) . I have had nothing but problems with this truck very weird issues that don't make mechanical sense. Also the instrument cluster gauges and infotainment screen don't light up just black screens after starting vehicle. Happened 2 times now. Radio was off while driving then came on full volume without touching anything. Service stability /steering warning came on once.i can hear front transfer case engage and disengage at low speeds randomly when in 2wd. Randomly stuck in low gear when accelerating from a stop. And you don't have to use the brakes much to stop you because as soon as you let off gas petal the vehicle nearly comes to a stop without applying brakes. And if you are turning it will at times come to a complete stop. Has been to dealer 6 times now they say everything checks out. There is a major computer issue or is hacked per all ive researched.

While driving with the roads in a wet condition, for various lengths of time, and in different maneuvers, the service engine light will start flashing and the vehicle will begin to lose power.after a few minutes, the service engine light will go solid and the traction control light will illuminate.the vehicle loses more power.on braking, just before the vehicle comes to a complete stop, there is a clunk in the transmission and the vehicle lurches.this has occurred 6 times in the last 14 months.upon investigation, trouble code p0308 shows in the obd tool.the issue could not be reproduce by the dealership so there has not been any resolution, just thoughts.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that a coolant smell would emit from the vehicle upon exit. The contact also stated that his vehicle had began to lose coolant at an abnormal rate and had to be frequently replaced. The contact took the vehicle to mcconnell automotive (3150 dauphin st, mobile, al 36606) where they confirmed that there was a crack in the radiator which resulted in a coolant leak. He was also informed that there was no recall on the vin and that the warranty did not cover the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the same information as the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.

After long periods of running and idle, vehicle stalls out has a hard time restarting. Gas paddle being press helps sometimes. Check code p2635 plus others (random secondary codes), come on. This has taken place in az where the ambient air temperature typically is over 100. Vehicle has been to gm dealer who says its vaporizing the fuel in the lines. Tsb pip5507b dose not include 2018, however the design hasn't changed. Conditions;long idle, hot weather, low speeds under 25 mph or idle.location; az sonrona dessert, off-road, jobsite, city streets.

No transmission power regardless of the gear shifter position.i turned the engine on and off several times trying to get a solution, no luck.i returned to the vehicle 5 minutes later and did get it to move,,,would only go 25 mph at 3000 rpms.i was in the middle of wi not near any major dealership on-star was useless saying i had a major engine problem and the computer was trying to protect the engine. I was directed me to a chrysler dealer ship, who told they could not get me in for 2 weeks, suggested another branch which was over 45 miles away.i drove 5 miles to a friends house and was able to find a dealership in janesville, wi (fagan). When i started the vehicle to drive to janesville, the transmission did work.fagan spent 2 hours working on it, and could not find a cause for the problems, they checked every computer, could not duplicate what happened.they reprogrammed all the computers.then in cincinnati, ohthe power steering assist went "off", while staionary.i tried restarting several times to no avail, drove the 3 miles left to the g'kids house, no power steering, trailer problem lighjt on, no rpm or mph needles moving.called local dealership (borcharding) and they suggested i drive it to their location 12 miles away.when i started it, the power steering was back on, but the unit would not get out of 2nd gear, ran 40 mph at 2500 rpm, warning lights all on, engine light still on. Next moring i started the vehicle, everything was okay including the transmission problem, but still had the "check engine on",the dealership kept it (2) days, involved gmc engineers, could not determine the cause for all the problems, including loss of "steering assist". They drove it over 50 miles on two trips, could not duplicate what happened. They told me it was some kind of computer problem, but could not determine, they reset everything again.

Bucking and surging when switching gears. Hard bang when trying to switch. Surged forward at a complete stop.

The radiator is leaking coolant without any real cause and i was told the entire radiator needs to be replaced.

Fuel injection seals #4 o-ring split - leaking fuel - pooling gas on manifold. Took vehicle in for smell of gas, lack of acceleration and poor gas mileage. This is known issue based on the service bulletin 18-na-137 - vehicle has less than 6000 miles

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the temperature gauge indicated that the vehicle was overheated. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to beck & masten buick gmc north (11300 fm 1960 west, houston, tx 77065, (877) 380-8433) where it was diagnosed and determined that the radiator was leaking coolant and that the radiator needed to be replaced. Coolant was refilled in the vehicle. The dealer contacted the manufacturer for assistance with repairs. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000.

At 55000 miles the radiator started too leakgm would only pay 250.00 dollars of the 876.00 it cost

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle vibrated abnormally while driving. The vehicle was taken to ingersoll auto of danbury (84 federal rd, danbury, ct 06810, (203)885-7774) for an oil change and the engine was flushed on four occasions. The contact stated that the vibration increased. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer and a tire rotation and alignment was performed. The contact was also informed that the tires needed to be replaced. The torque converter was also replaced however, the failure remained. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000.

I have had my gmc sierra 1500 for almost 3 years.i have a little under 59,000 miles on the truck.a few thousand miles ago a tech at the gm dealer let me know that they had to add some coolant and it was something i should keep an eye on.i brought the vehicle back to have them look into it.they let me know that the radiator has a small leak.it is not big enough to have fluid hit the ground in my garage but it is loosing fluid.i looked online and saw that this is a common issue.i was told that it was not covered under warranty and it would cost a good amount to fix.i have had this vehicle for under 3 years and have had 5 issues without any of them being covered by warranty.this vehicle seems to be a lemon.

Condenser on ac leaking at same location as the 2014-2017 my. Warranty was out due to mileage but truck is only 2 years 3 months old. Blowing warm air when ac was turned on.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the air conditioner did not cool without warning. The vehicle was taken to the king cadillac dealer, located at: 1700 w evans st, florence, sc 29501 where it was diagnosed that the condenser needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50,000.

Passengers side low beam jiggles up and down when going over small bumps. Dealer tells me its a common issue with the projector style headlights but cannot be replaced under warranty until gm recognizes it.

Passenger side headlight jiggles up and down constantly over every small bump. Very distracting and leaves many black areas on the road from lack of light. Fix this immediately!

The sierra surges from park to reverse and drive. I bumped a vehicle today, and the surge has become an issue this week and there is not even 9,000 miles on the truck. The afm is rough shifting between v8 and v4 mode too. None of this was an issue until recently. My speakers also vibrate like a blown speaker on high definition radio, but not on regular radio stations.

Fuel injection seals #4 o-ring split - leaking fuel - pooling gas on manifold. Took vehicle in for smell of gas, lack of acceleration and poor gas mileage. This is known issue based on the service bulletin 18-na-137 - vehicle has less than 6000 miles

When 1st cranking truck and put in drive motors rrev up and shifts hard to second. Occasionally when i out in reverse it will sit there n not shift in. Then when it does it shifts hard. When accelerating the truck it sounds like a clattering sound under drivers side under hood. Tried different type of gasoline and nothing changes. Gmac needs to do a recall on both of these items.i am very disappointed in my gmc and gmac

Jumps into gear hard from 1st to 2nd gear under 25 mph very dangerous when on icy roads and also down shifting coming down from a hill rpm's stay high even though you aren't going very fast less then 17000 miles on it had it too the dealer nothing they can do just document it

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. While attempting to accelerate, the contact noticed a hard shift with the eight speed transmission. The contact thought the transmission had fallen off the vehicle. The contact felt this was a defect, especially during cold starts in the morning. Ray skillman southside buick gmc (8424 us-31, indianapolis, in 46227, (317) 497-0711) was contacted and provided a report indicating that this was a normal occurrence. The manufacturer was not contacted. Through online research, the contact believed he had a case with the lemon law. The failure mileage was 4,768. *pm

While the truck is in motion and when accelerating around 15-20 mph the transmission will sometimes "hunt" for a gear causing the truck to not accelerate.this results in a mild jerking of the truck when it is trying to accelerate and feels like the transmission is slipping/skipping.this is more apparent when going up a grade versus on a flat surface.so i have to push harder on the gas pedal waiting for the truck to shift.this is a safety issue since when not properly accelerating into traffic, an accident is more likely to occur. I see that this issue has already been reported in another incident on your website.i have had this issue since i bought the truck on 02/2018 and the reason i have waited to report is due to the dealer stating to allow the computer to update/learn your driving habits.i have 11,000 miles on the truck now and still experiencing the issue.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. While driving, the vehicle failed to shift into gears, switching from v8 to v4. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to classic buick gmc arlington (1400 e interstate 20, arlington, tx 76018, (817) 264-7782), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.

I bought this vehicle new from day one i noticed the truck was jerking between 2nd gear and third. Only when cold i figured it was normal.i have 11,000 miles now and the jerking is worse and does it when i hold a speed between 45mph and 50mph also. When i am coming to a stop it hit hard into 1st gear and when i take off it hits hard into 2nd gear.

Daily the transmission has a hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear.potentially causing me to loose control of the vehicle.ive had it in the gmc shop 3 times and gmc is unable to fix the problem.after the vehicle sits for periods of 4 hrs or more the problem reoccurs.this is a serious political saftey hazard in the 8speed transmission and needs to be recalled and fixed with a new transmission.

Hard shifting that started around 40000 miles and has progressively gotten worse. The same thing happened to my 2017 chevrolet silverado 1500 and at 90000 miles that vehicle's #3 sensor in the transmission failed. It appears this vehicle is on the same path. The transmissions in these vehicles are trash. It happens in lower gears.

Transmission shifts very hard from first gear to second gear when in motion. It also has a violent shudder when it is trying to select a different gear, most apparent around 35mph. If brake isn't pressed hard enough, shifting out of park could cause vehicle to run into something due to the hard shift when stationary.

Gmac needs to do a recall on both of these items.i am very disappointed in my gmc and gmac

When truck is in motion shifting from reverse to first/second gear it jumps forward into gear. There is a hesitation shifting into gear. It is a very well known problem with the 8 speed transmission. I have been in contact with the dealer but 3 different times. The know the problem as does gmc. They actually can fix the problem. But will not do anything until gmc sends out a technical bulletin. There has been an unbelievable amount of complaints. I understand gmc is hesitant because they may have to replace transmission and or torque converter which would naturally cost a lot of money. But also i understand changing to a different transmission fluid will help. But dealer will not do it. This has been going on since the day i bought it brand new and i only have 5700 miles on it. I have not had accident because of this. But concerns me with the hesitation and jumping in to gear. Also it does not do it every single time. Depends on your take off speed.

Truck shift into gear very roughly.shakes when driving through all speeds.feels as if something is falling off the truck.

I own a gmc sierra which is 14 months old, purchased in dubai uae from alghandi auto.the last service for 40000 kms was done on august 8th, 2019 and no problem was highlighted except the battery that was subsequently changed.on friday early morning (sep 27, 2019), we have escaped a major accident on sheikh zayed road on account of the front wheel axle that just broke/came apart while driving, causing the front right wheel to detach from the vehicle, subsequently skidding to the right causing major damage to the suspension and many other parts in the vehicle. This could have caused even death of my son who was driving the vehicle.i would appreciate an immediate call from your office to resolve this as i am no longer interested in driving this car that can cost me & my family our lives. This needs to be done immediately as i would otherwise be in the process of seeking legal advice against gmc.

The front end of my truck has an very noticeable intermittent rumble and shake when i'm holding steady around 1200 rpm and 45 mph. My rpm gauge will surge about 50-100 rpms when it rumbles.if i speed up or slow down it goes away. My wheels and tires are balance so that not the issue and my drive is smooth otherwise.

Very very badshudder vibration noticed mostly during light throttle acceleration of 30-64 mph (48-104 km/h) during steady state driving with the transmission not actively shifting gear..

Extremely hard shifting on lower gears. When slowing when it goes from 2nd to 1st it feels like i got rear-ended. Not all the time but once a day at least. It also shudders when slowly accelerating in traffic, sometimes the rpm goes way high and it lurches forward when it upshifts.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost power steering assist causing the steering wheel to become firm. The steering wheel jerked while turning and the vehicle stalled on several occasions almost causing a collision. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer informed the contact that the failure was related to technical service bulletin 18-na-161. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer promised to provide a callback. The failure mileage was 47,184.

At 40mph loud bang felt like we were rear ended, sounded like we were rear ended, huge jolt forward nearly causing accident, possible back injury, seats jolted, looked behind us and nothing there.was driving at 30-35mph and just accelerated slightly to pass a car when this happened. City street 3 lanes. Dealer turned us away because could not duplicate for them. Gmc said case was accelerated no call back as of yet.

Document id 4605342 #16-na-361 : information on transmission harsh 1-2 shift upon first start up/shift of the day under light throttle this gm bulletin was issued jul 21, 2017 on numerous vehicles and according to this bulletin the problem does not have a resolution.the bulletin clearly states changing the entire transmission will not solve this issue.this is affecting my gmc with the 8 speed transmission.gm has known about this issue but has none the less sold the vehicles to consumers without disclosure.neither gm or darrel waltrip gmc in franklin tn disclosed this issue prior to the sale.the service dept at the dealer admitted the issue cannot be repaired and told me gm is unwilling to do a trade assistance or buyback.gm claims nothing is wrong with my car yet has a clear document that says otherwise.

After truck has set for a while and start to take off from a stand still and it goes to shift from 1st to 2nd it will hard shift and truck will sometimes lurch forward. When accelerating slowly truck with shutter when shifting gears, almost like it can't decide to shift to the next gear. Once truck is warmed up this no longer happens.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. When the contact shifted into drive, the vehicle lunged forward with the brake pedal depressed. As a result, the vehicle crashed into a handicap sign. There were no injuries. Prior to the crash, the vehicle was taken to bill kay chevrolet (located at 601 ogden ave, lisle, il 60532, (630) 968-2900) to be diagnosed due to hard shifting. The contact was informed that a transmission re-learn of the software was needed to correct the hard shifting; however, the failure became more pronounced. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and declined to assist. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.

When the truck is driven first thing in the morning the transmission shifts from first gear into second gear the transmission shifts very hard or hesitates causing the driver to surge forward almost as if the vehicle were hit from behind.

While under power and driving, the truck experiences noticeable vibrations that seem to come from the drivetrain.

Transmission has shudder and now wont downshift properly while driving

Have been to dealer 3 times transmission ruff/slipping on 1-2 shift

I have a 2018 gmc sierra denali, when the vehicle is cold, usually first thing in the morning, the truck starts out in first gear and then feels like it lacks power or transmission is slipping and then bangs into 2nd gear.the more i drove the truck the worse it got. While driving down the road there is a vibration within the truck. The faster you go the more of a vibration you feel. During the vibration the steering wheel is not shaking and when you let go of the wheel the truck stays straight, so it's not the front end. Took the truck to the dealership where it was purchased, pellegrino gmc, which is a 30 minute drive and they couldn't duplicate the problems. The service advisor was advised prior to my appointment, that the banging into gear only happens when its is cold. He advised me that what i was feeling was a normal shift for my truck. I advised him about the service bulletins and he stated that it didn't pertain to my truck.the mechanic test drove my vehicle for 13 miles and didn't feel the vibration. He checked the engine codes and found none. I have had the truck a little over a year and it has 6000 miles on the odometer.

Truck shifts hard from 1st to 2nd gear and vice versa. When down shifting from 2nd to 1st it feels as if you get rear ended by another vehicle. It shifts hard when switching between drive and reverse with an audible "clunk" and jerking on the truck.

The truck shifts very hard - from what i've read online, gm knows of the issue but will not "fix" the issue -- only 26k miles on the truck

After cold starts when accelerating the transmission slips from 1st to 2nd and throws your body forward. After that first gear change it doesn't do it again until another cold start. Around 34000 miles i am getting a rumbling vibration through the dash and steering wheel when holding speed between 35-75 mph. The rpm guage will jump slightly and it will feel like going over rumble strips. Acceleration is very weak at times. Sometimes its ok. There has to be something done with these torque converters and transmissions by gm. Unacceptable for a 40-50k dollar truck!

Brand new 2018 sierra 1500 z71.when driving the truck for the first time after sitting for a number of hours (6+hrs) the truck experiences a "hard" 1-2 shift.this occurs 100% of the time when i leave for work in the morning.sometimes it feels like the transmission slipped, this is the hard shift feeling.other times the truck loses acceleration, cuts out, feels like the truck has ran out of fuel.only happens when the truck has been sitting for a long period.when i took the truck in to have this looked into i was told this is a known issue without a resolution.ive attached a scan'd copy of the document they gave me #16-na-361.

I have taken my truck to temecula valley buick gmc on 3 separate occasions after noticing my transmission shifts hard. I have experience clunking shifts both in the up shift and down shift, typically at lower speeds.there are times when the transmission shifts gears it propels the vehicle forward in a jerking fashion, very similar to a rear end fender bender. The last time i took my vehicle to the dealership, i was told that the vehicle is shifting at normal specs and if it keeps acting up, to bring it back when it is more consistent. The vehicle's warranty runs out in a few months.

Purchased vehicle brand new from dealership and from day one, i notice the power train slow to shifting from gear one to two. The vehicle hesitates and sometimes shifts hard only during cold starts. Every time i take it in for my schedule service i report the same issue to my service advisor along with the service manager at the gmc dealership. They say that it is a normal problem and they know about it. The last schedule service i told themabout the same problem, this time his service tech test drove vehicle and said torque converter was shuddering causing vibration. The solution he said they changed the transmission fluid. Today i still notice the same issue and will report to the dealership next time i take in for service. I have read this is a common problem from the manufacture since putting in an 8 speed transmission. I feel this is a safety issue and some day i may feel that the transmission may lock up on me and may cause an accident.

Since day 1 of purchasing new,to current date, there is vibration at idle. There is vibration at highway speeds of 60 mph plus. It has been to the dealer 5 times for testing. This is a known problem with thousands of vehicles. Gm says it meets their specifications. The dealer balanced the tires 3 times, no luck. The dealer replaced the tires, same issue. I am told the vibration at idle is normal. This problem is distracting when driving. I have been dealing with gm and the dealer for 7 months with no resolve.https://www.kshb.com/news/local-news/investigations/general-motors-customers-frustrated-over-shaking-in-pickup-trucks this link of a news clip shows what is happening to my vehicle. This happens every day, so ignore the date i entered below. I have videos but the file is too large to download.

The transmission failed at 32,000 miles slipped so bad could hardly drive it homeon highway i95 jacksonville florida.finally got a dealer appointment after over 2 weeks of waiting without the use the vehicle.they replaced the fluid and said it was now good.still tends to slip i asked why they were not replacing the whole unit said no need as my warranty is almost up?

I experienced failure of the transmission to sift up or down on several occasions between 11/01/2019 and 11/11/2019. On 11/08/2019 i was monitoring the transmission temperature, and when the transmission temp reached 164 deg, the transmission would stop shifting properly at 25 to 30 mph, and the trans temp would jump to 192+ deg. Transmission seemed to slip and the vehicle would not accelerate. Rpms jumped to 3k-4k rms but speed would not change up or down. Contacted the dealership and made an appointment for 11/11. On 11/11 i drove the to the dealer 10 miles away. I monitored the trans temp as i drove, and no shifting issues until just before reaching the dealership (trans temp had reached 154 deg). I road with the dealer rep for a test drive and he was able to duplicate the problem at 30-mph and trans temp quickly rose again to over 192-deg. Dealer rep tried to use the manual shift option but even using that he was unable to get the transmisson to shift properly ans engine rpms exceeded 5k and stayed there until the transmission shifted into gear. Dealer rep stated that is not good during the test drive.arriving back at the service department the dealer rep that test drove the vehicle told the service dep amanger the vehicle was not safe to drive. I was told the transmission would need to be torn down to figure out what the problem was and it might be after the first of the year before they would have it fixed due alack of parts due to the recent strike, and a bag log of vehicles already waiting repair parts. Other complaints that seem to match mine are nhtsa ids: 11193281, 11230193, 11221668, and 11205523. Issue is a serious safety issue if the vehicle cannot accelerate safely to merge with traffic.

Upon starting the engine the vehicle makes a clank sound and either surges forward or backwards slightly.it seems to do it more often on a light incline.local chevrolet ( gm) dealer has looked over twice, no suggestions made or given to me.

Hesitation when engine is cold shifting from reverse to drive.some shift is so hard that it feels like being hit from behind.took truck to dealership to correct the problem.they performed the tsb 18-na-355.this did not correct the problem.dealership advised there was nothing else they could do about this issue.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the transmission shifted from first to second gear while driving 15 to 20 mph. Also, when driving on the highway for a long period of time, the transmission would not downshift until the vehicle came to a stop, and would then fail to move forward. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to golling buick gmc (1491 s lapeer rd, orion charter township, mi 48360, (248) 693-5900), but the failures could not be duplicated. On another occasion, when the vehicle was engaged in two wheel drive, the rear end failed to unlock and would jerk. The contact drove the vehicle to the same dealer where diagnostic testing was completed, but a failure could not be found. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred three times. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.

I have been noticing a shudder and hard shifting intermittently when driving about 30-60mph and i took it into the shop they said they can not duplicat the issues so i take it back and it started doing it more. I took the truck back to the shop again and yet again they told me they can not duplicate the issue. No here i am at 17k miles on is still doing it and shiftting hard and now there is a knocking noise. I talked to the dealer ship and they said its under warrany still just drive it tell it get worse.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that upon depressing the accelerator, the vehicle shuddered while upshifting. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer where they were unable to service the vehicle. The contact had also taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed him that there was a tsb placed on the vehicle. He explained that the incorrect type of transmission fluid had been placed in the transmission which would cause the failure that he had experienced. The contact then called sewell buick gmc of dallas (7474 lemmon ave, dallas, tx 75209) where he was informed that he would be charged a diagnostic fee prior to the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 45,000.

The back middle seatbelt broke shortly after the vehicle was purchased new.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the driver's seat made popping noises and moved from side to side while the vehicle made turns. The manufacturer issued an unknown technical service bulletin, but it was not covered under a warranty. The vehicle was taken to colonial buick gmc (3965 atlanta hwy, loganville, ga 30052, (678) 922-9606), but they refused to inspect the condition of the seat. The dealer also refused to notify the manufacturer. The dealer acknowledged the service bulletin, but claimed that they could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 28,000.

Driving slowly in bumper to bumper traffic.i was stopped with my foot on the brakes, and the truck started moving forward.i thought engine surge, but it was not.i pumped brakes hard and the truck stopped.this has happened 2 times.

Dealer completed brake system recall on 10-04-2019 n 192268490, now i read about the recall repair may have not fixed problem, request assurance that problem is fixed.

Left rear brake line appears to be installed in harms way.that is, an object on the road could be struck which could tear away the brake line resulting in loss of braking power.other vehicles of the same type on the dealer's lot were observed to be of the same design.if this brake line is lost due to road hazard, will braking power be lost?please advise.thanks.

I was in the bank atm drive through and the guy ahead of me started to go, i barely pushed the gas pedal and he decided to stop. I hit my brakes and the truck was hard to stop, almost like the gas pedal response was still in the go mode before it had the chance to react to my input of taking my foot off the gas to apply the brakes. I can duplicate this behavior all the time.

I received a recall notice for a brake problem on my truck. The recall gave a location to take my truck for service.when i contacted that dealership they said it was a canadian truck and they couldn't perform the recall repair.soi called the gm hot line they said i had to take it to canada for the repair and that was the only option.

Please help

My 2018 gmc sierra slt's break pedal becomes extremely difficult to press, and i can hear something that sounds like air coming from the pedal. This happens especially at lower speeds.this caused me to crash into a concrete wall and damage my truck. My truck has only 10,000 miles.

Steering pulls to left when driving at any speed, and terrain.pulls enough to turn you into oncoming traffic if you do not correct.took to dealership and was told nothing was wrong with the truck.steering problem continues and is definitely a safety issue.

When in traffic at any speed the steering wheel will actually turn to the left. It takes you buy surprise and it's a strange feeling. I was told by the dealer their is no issues. Very scary! it happens at anytime and without warning.

Power steering just goes out while driving (pulling into parking lot) and then comes back on causing an oversteering problem.

When driving the vehicleit steers very hard like a lack of power steering than all of a suddenit feels like the power steering kiks in causinga over steering situation. Feels like you have no control. Have talked to otherowner who has same issue. Pickup has 40 miles on it. It happens every time i drive it.

Truck shift into gear very roughly.shakes when driving through all speeds.feels as if something is falling off the truck.

The truck was being turned on to resume driving after brief stop. The vehicle engine turned on but vehicle steering locked, front and rear exterior lights wentout. After truck turned off for 20 minutes. The steering wheel unlocked, the exterior lights turned back on. I called gmc roadside services-!they recommended towing vehicle to dealership.

I was driving 70 mph downhighway75 in mckinney tx, when my steering completely locked up. Luckily i managed to get truck stopped and towed back to dealer. This could easily have been a fatality accident.

Vehicle was being driven when suddenly the power steering quit working and vehicle was very difficult to turn without extreme effort.

I left home to go to the store. While driving on the highway my sunroof exploded. There were no cars or truck in front of me or passing me. Nothing hit my truck. It sounded like a shotgun going off inside the truck. The sunroof exploded sending glass everywhere. I was driving on a 5 lane highway, it was raining, but not a bad storm. The road was straight and in good condition. It happened so fast i did not know what was going on. I pulled into a gas station to check my truck. I found glass all in the bed of the truck and most of the sunroof gone. I have taken it to the dealer as the truck is under warranty. I was told the warranty does not cover damage and so far no answer it they will cover it.i have had the truck for almost 3 years and it is nearing the end of the warranty.

The sunroof in the 2018 gmc sierra exploded outward of the vehicle, dropping glass shards into the cabin.the vehicle was in motion at about 15 mph in a neighboorhood street with no overhanging objects that may have contacted the glass.the weather foreceast for the day was sunny with a high of 76 degree fahrenheit.no external contact was made to the sunroof glass prioir to the incident.no investigation was desired by both the local dealership or general motors on the incident itself. Both have directed me to making an insurance claim to rectify the situation.

Spare tire crank cable broke allowing spare tire to fall out from under the truck on the interstate at 70 mph. Spare tire slide backwards under my 5th wheel camper damaging the camper and flying off into the highway median.

When driving the truck starts to rattle as is i was driving on a bumpy road. It is not continuously but id happens often

The vehicle operates unpredictably when pressing on the gas pedal causing unsafe driving conditions.when pressing the gas pedal, any one of the follo^wing conditions may occur.1.) sometimes the rpm's decreasea.2. )sometimes the transmission hunts several times. 3.) sometimes the vehicle speed surges. 4.) many times the engine hesitates for a long period before the rpm's increase.this unpredictable operation is more apparent when the engine is loaded like going up hills and especially when heading into strong winds.the unpredictable operation is extremely unsafe whendriving on ice covered roads.this vehicle is also considered an "off-road" series vehicle.this unpredictable operation is very unsafe, even dangerous, on aggressive trails.when driving in steep trails, drivers require feedback from their vehicle especially how the vehicle or engine responds as the gas pedal us depressed.

Bucking and surging when switching gears. Hard bang when trying to switch. Surged forward at a complete stop.

Condenser on ac leaking at same location as the 2014-2017 my. Warranty was out due to mileage but truck is only 2 years 3 months old. Blowing warm air when ac was turned on.

Vehicle suddenly went into reduced engine power while driving in heavy traffic.vehicle immediately began to slow down and although there was some throttle response it was difficult to maneuver through traffic to get to the side of the road.this event happened around the 31,000 mile mark.the reduced engine power message came on, but i do not remember hearing an audible alert.being a 40 year automotive technician for gm, i am familiar with pulling codes and replacing parts.i called the dealership to see if this was covered by warranty and was told no.after pulling the codes, i personally replaced the throttle body sensor and the accelerator pedal assembly, but the vehicle continued to go into reduced engine power mode.i took the vehicle into the dealership and they diagnosed the cause as a corroded connector.the connector was replaced and the vehicle was returned to me.after a little over one month and less than 1,000 miles the vehicle is once again going into reduced engine power mode.i can have my vehicle available for inspection if necessary.

Truck shift into gear very roughly.shakes when driving through all speeds.feels as if something is falling off the truck.

I am 6'8 and have notice a serious increase in the blind spot behind the rear view mirror. On approaches to intersection, vehicles are hidden and i have had 3 bear miss collisions in the the same number of months. This is my 3rd gmc sierra and the issues appears to be related to elevated seat which can not be lowered to a safe level.

The contact owns a 2018 gmc sierra 1500. The contact stated that the air conditioner was inoperable, causing visibility issues while driving. Due to the failure, the defroster/defogger system was inoperable. Mcconnell automotive (3150 dauphin st, mobile, al 36606, (251)476-4141) was informed of the failure. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not subjected to a recall. The dealer provided an estimate of $1,191 to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage 50,724.

New truck with 15 miles. Bad vibration seems to be coming from both front and rear area at speeds of 64 to 72possible tires out of balance or alignment.

The factory wheels do not grip the road. This was from day 1 of getting it brand new from the dealer. This has led to spinning the tires, fishtailing, and sliding while braking. This happens with even moderate amounts of pushing the gas pedal or braking well ahead of a slow down or stop in traffic in front of you. This is very dangerous and takes away the drivers ability to maneuver as we should.
