Dashboard cracks, on both sides, above the instrument cluster and at the passenger side airbag. Passengers side crack is effecting how the airbag access cover snaps into the excisting dash recess. It's very bad and sagging down effecting how the airbag would deploy.

My safety and the safety of passengers are at risk because there is no resolution from the manufacturer thus far, over five months. This recall also negatively affects the resell/trade-in value of my vehicle. Because of the active recall, dealers will not trade for my vehicle for a reasonable value. So, due to the manufacturer being unable to fix the problem in a timely manner, i am financially impacted.

On 2-28-09 purchased a new vehicle a 2009 gmc sierra 1500 2 wd ext. Cab truck in early december 2009.noticed on 4 occasions the gas pedal sticking and not allowing the driver to stop on more than one occasion. Witnesses were in the truck. Took the truck to the dealership and they stated after 2 days that they could not find anythingwrong with truck."just drive the truck" on december 11 the 2009 struck a telephone pole breaking the pole and the air bags did not deploy neither did on star respond. Due to this accident i has sustained neck injury, and neither gmac or the dealership will respond to the concerns about the air bags not deploying from a front end collision over 40 miles an hour doing $5000.00 worth of damage to the truck or even looking at the gas pedal sticking. Due to this the driver does not fell safe driving this truck or putting his family in truck.*cw

Dash is cracking next to airbase on passenger side and additionally next to instrument cluster.multiple cases have been reported of this (dealer said it is typical).some reports are at 80% of the dashes crack in this area.we are at 100%.my wife's 2009 chevy tahoe is cracked in the exact same place.in her case, the airbag mechanism is popping out of the dash.should it need to deploy, it cannot as designed.both vehicles have been properly maintained and no chemical used on the dash.in the case of the gmc sierra, it only has 66k miles on it and has never been off road.dealer and gm have refused to address the issue.repair cost 1,200.i am taking the tahoe in next week for repair due to my safety concerns for my wife.

I request, with concern, an investigation be performed on the airbag propellant components for signs of expansion problem which may have caused a crack/split in vehicle dash surface. This complete crack/split is located near upper left corner of recalled passenger airbag/cover. Dash appears to be slightly raised in that area of crack/split. Dash has cracked around the passenger air bag creating a possible dangerous situation should the air bag deploy.

There is a crack in my truck's dashboard on the passenger side,right next to the airbag section.the dashboard cracked on its own,as it was never subjected to any kind of an impact or force. My reasonable doubt is that it cracked due to being made of low quality material. I took the truck to my local gmc dealership,same place where i always take my truck for anything concerning my truck. When i brought my truck and showed a service dept. Employee, i was told that neither my regular,nor my extended vehicle warranty covered the damage,and if i wanted it replaced i would need to pay ~$250!!! i was stunned and appalled that i would need to pay to replace something that was clearly a low quality product,something i already paid for when i bought the truck brand new. I will never go back to that dealership, or another gmc dealership as a matter of fact, ever again, just out of spite. I feel cheated and conned, as not only did the gmc not want to replace the dashboard,it was not even covered under the extended warranty i purchased when i got the vehicle brand new. I suspect gmc knew about this issue so they intentionally did not cover it under the vehicle warranty. My real concern isn't in the aesthetics of a cracked dashboard,it is for the safety of the passengers that drive in my truck. If,god forbid,i was to get into a car accident and the airbag deploys, there is a very real chance that the airbag might get punctured on the edge of the cracked dashboard and fail to do its function as it would immediately deflate. This is a serious safety hazard and one that might cost someone their life,do we really need to wait for something bad to happen (like the gmc issue with the ignition switch which cost people their lives after their gmc vehicle unexpectedly shut down in the middle of the highway!!) before something is done and gmc does the right thing and owns up to its mistake?

Gm is continuing to stall and this has been a four year ordeal. Local dealer has no timeframe of when the system will be updated so they can begin the work, they have no clue when they will be able to get parts or if they will even be able to get parts.

I received a notice from takata 3 years ago about a defective airbag recall but never received any info about taking it in to have it replaced.also, about the same time as i received the recall notice my service airbag soon light came on and is still on which will most likely prevent me from trading in or selling the truck should i decide to do so.i would like to have the problem solved as soon as possible. Also i had to replace the wheels as they were rusted out and leaked air thru the weld joints which appears to be a common problem with gmc and chevvy trucks.2016

The vehicle contains takata airbags that an open recall was started 3 years ago for but a decision has never been made. The dash has now cracked near the airbags. If the airbags deploy they could cause shrapnel from the dash to be put into the cabin. There is an open lawsuit in the us and canada with gm in regards to the dash. The vehicle is also displaying intermittent airbag service error messages. Gm will not diagnose the airbag issue for free and want's anywhere from $150-$250 simply to read the code plus whatever the repair would cost. Gm also wants $1500-$2000 to replace the dash. Gm has deemed this vehicle "safe" but will not stand behind that "safe" designation by diagnosing the airbag issue for free. The airbag service light started off very infrequently and has started to become more frequent. I have also been cut by the dash on multiple occasions, which presents a huge safety hazard.gm corporate will not give any timeline to a resolution and will only pay for repairs once the nhtsa forces them into a recall.a "safe" vehicle does not injury it's users or report errors with its safety systems frequently.

Continued and obviously a very common and potentialy dangerous dash cracking like the majority of many 08, 09,10 vehicles that are cracking and disinigrating right by front passenger air bag that can cause plastic fragmentsupon air bag deployment to be blown uncontrollably potentiallyat ft passenger's causing injury or death. Hello, i was just at mossy gmc in new orleans,la., where i went to see about getting my recalled airbag ordered and replaced. The service rep told me that when they change out the airbag, most of the time the dashboard cracks even more, where they willbe working, but they will not replace the broken dashboard. I feel that this is totally rediculous! if i didn't have that damage before going into a service center, and now i have damage caused by the service center, i should not be having to pay for a new dashboard out of my own pocket. I feel that a cracked dashboard could compound the severity of a car crash, being said, it could shatter into pieces upon airbag deployment and send shards of dashboard flying at both the driver and their passengers. The shards, could also lacerate the airbags and render them useless. Please help me out with this situation.

Takata recalli was notified in july of 2016 by gmc of a possible issue with takata airbags. I was told there was no current solution and to wait. I waited one year (2017) and called again and was told nothing has changed. I did that again in 2018 as well and was told there were no updates. Around the time of my second call in 2018, i started getting airbag warning lights and message from the vehicle. I contacted gm corporate in regards to the issue assuming it has to do with the recall. I was told by gm corporate that in no way would they be willing or able to assist or pay for any of the cost of getting this resolved and that i would be required to everything myself. I might be able to get reimbursed if the recall finally went through, but if the recall went through after i sold the vehicle they would not reimburse me. I contacted a local dealership that was not willing to help with costs either and was told it would probably be $300 to diagnose the problem plus costs of repair.i've also attempted to sell the vehicle but have had buyers back out due to the open recall or offered me below market value for the truck because of the recall. My truck died in traffic but i was able to get started and home (2 miles). My check engine light came on and i am reading a code u0191, which refers to the fuel pump flow control module. I had to purchase a battery because i had a battery draining issue and was having to jump it if it sat for a couple of days. My truck will not start at this time. After doing some checking, both my fuel pump and fuel flow module fuses are hot even with the truck ignition off. Which would indicate a short in the system. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the ignition switch and the body control module, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 53,843....updated 05/19/16 the consumer stated the airbag sdm module was corroded. I'm having electrical/computer problems that started over a year ago and continue to increase.first, my speakers go off and on as they please. The driver side door speaker is the only one that stays on consistently, and it has nothing to do with hitting bumps or anything else. Second, my power looks have gone out. My key fob will still work them and they still lock and unlock when truck is moved between park and drive. But the buttons on the door do not work. I've replaced all the fuses, and still, nothing.third, my cruise control is going out. On a long drive i used it for half and then the other half it wouldn't even try to come back on. A few days later it worked again.

The manufacturer was contacted and notified of failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in the recall and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was approximately 72,000.

I can not remember the three other times the elec. Stability control, has went out.this time my children were in the car.no issues of crash, but this is now becoming a problem, i have taken it back all times to be fixed at the dealer.all time they say its fixed.this time the engine started hesitating and choking out, mis firing..im glad it was at low speeds..this is a problem and needs to be fixed.

I have regular maintenance done on vehicle from certified gmc dealership.however, a few days ago while driving the vehicle both the engine light and traction control lights came on, causing the vehicle todisplay low engine warning and losing almost all acceleration. Took it in to dealership, and was charged nearly $800 for repair.

Lifter failure! expensive repair! common issue on afm 5.3 v8 engines. Driving down hwy. Just had had low oil pressure issues and made necessary repairs the very day before (cleaned small screen that picks up oil to send pressure to dash guage) changed oil at dealership, only to drive truck less than 75 miles and loud knocking in engine occured, truck went into "limp mode" had to be towed to dealership for a full lifter replacement. Again, common problem that should of been recalled/repaired before drivers are left stranded facing huge expensive repair bills.

Excessive oil usage, have had it monitored 3 times per gm. Uses oil every 2 thousand miles ,they are aware that these 5.3 v8 are doing so. There is a service bulletin out on this problem, this problem needs to be investigated by our government.

Active fuel management failure number 4 cylinder.p0304 dtc.has a loud ticking noise and a miss on number 4 cylinder.the truck has been maintained and as i researched the problem, it appears to be more likely than not to affect these trucks.

At around 100,000 miles, the check engine light would come on and indicate low oil pressure. Changing the sensor out did not effect the situation. Changing the oil would help but usually only for around 3,500 miles. The engine was losing oil more than it should. Then at around 129,000 miles, the truck starting shaking because of the engine and the check engine light came on. It was determined to be a cylinder 7 misfire. Changing the coil pack, spark plug, and spark plug wire did nothing. It was determined that the engine was irreparable and needed replacing. Upon research, it appears that this is a fairly common problem among 2008-2012 gm engines with the afm system. Gm should absolutely issue a recall and repair these defective engines or otherwise reimburse the owners for the repairs.

At 80000 my truck is going through 4 to 6 qts of oil between oil changes. As a master technician this has got to be the poorest excuse for engineering i have ever come across with this afm system they have. I know several people that have lost an engine by 100000 miles. With todays technology that's a bad joke on the consumer.with shorter intervals and some additive's i have managed to get to 1 qt every 1900 miles and that's as good as it gets.

Throttle body unit on 2009 gmc sierra truck burned out & needed replacing at 38 thousand miles. Gmc paid for my repair after many conversations with them, even tho they stated it was out of warranty. I put the money out to have it fixed, they are reimbursing me via check to my home address. My co-worker had the same thing happen to him about 2 weeks ago, his throttle body unit burned out on his chevy silverado, his is out of warranty as well, his truck is only 3 years old. He was told when he went to get his repaired the part was on a national back order. This sounds like these are going bad all over!!!

Hit a pothole full of water with right rear tire while making a right hand turn.the water splashed up and entered into the fuel system control module through a poor seal causing the unit to shut off fuel to the truck.truck stalled out and would not restart blocking two lanes of traffic.check engine light was lit, and the truck had the following codes set: p069e, p0231, p025a, p064a.i had the truck towed to haydocy gmc and they diagnosed it as a faulty fuel system control module.they replaced and reprogrammed the new unit to the truck.they returned the defective part to me at my request and it was dripping water out of the seal.this is similar to recall 09v154000 for similar 2009 gm vehicles that were assembled in late 2008 just like my truck in which the seal was defective and would allow water to seep into the fuel system control module.i believe this recall should have included additional vehicle models including the gmc sierra.i would be more than happy to provide any documentation, pictures, or parts necessary to assist.

The contact owns a 2009 gmc sierra. There was a burnt wire in the drivers door. This disabled the actuator that locks all four door when the key is in the ignition, and when the key is taken out of the ignition to unlock the doors. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the technician stated that the actuator in the door and then the wiring harness need to be replaced. However the parts are on back order. A representative from the gmc manufacturer stated that the vehicle was safe to drive until the parts arrived. The failure mileage was 4,100.

The power door locks won't lock and unlock. I have already replaced one door lock mechanism at my cost. Now a second lock won't function.this is well known by gm.they refuse to recall it. This is a safety issue.gm needs to repair these door locks.

Took vehicle to chevrolet/gmc dealership and was advised that the rear wheel cylinders were leaking and needed to be replaced after only 43500 miles. This incident followed an issue on 11-29-12 where the throttle position sensor malfunctioned and the engine ran very rough and the truck was difficult to stop.

Rear end locks up. If the wheels spin then the truck wont move. It gets stuck and you have to force it forward until the wheels start moving freely again.

Transmission filler tube is breaking. There is a recall but not on mine. Why? i ordered a new one.

First had transmission replaced, then a second one, now third time they say transfer case, locking itself in gear, and dangerous cause wanted to take off fast in reverse. Transmission delay from park to drive. As transmission moves into drive the truck jerks forward violently. Park to reverse did not seem to be a problem.dealer worked on the truck for approximately 8 hours, flushed transmission, and performed oil change, did not notice any metal in the transmission fluid and sought an update for the tcm (was up-to-date); however, a small amount of water was seen in the oil pan. Dealer performed a test drive and the truck appeared to be back in working condition. Owner attempted to drive the truck out of the dealer lot but the transmission would not engage.owner attempted to put the truck in reverse, the transmission would not engage. Truck was left at the dealer for further evaluation. No additional information at this time. Transmission still under warranty.

Dash has cracked in 5 places the dash is also peeling paint. Also the crime interior handles the chime is pulling off and extremely sharp. My exterior door handles paint is falling off in chunks on all 4 doors. My drivers side seat the lumbar support broke 3 times.

At around 4,000 miles the front brakes squealed often, mostly when it had been sitting for a while. (brake pads had a lot of meat left). At around 10,000 miles the brakes started grabbing while driving. I played with the e-brake some since this is the most common culprit, and the grabbing went away soon afterwards. Fast forward to 80,000 miles where i changed out the front brake pads. The spring retainer clips were completely destroyed, and the pads had signs of grabbing (had uneven wear). My new pads are squealing just like the first set of pads did. I'm assuming the spring retainers are hitting the rotor, squealing, and eventually breaking. I can only guess that my new pads will be grabbing in a few thousand miles.

The parking brake light turns on randomly, when just starting the vehicle, when just sitting in the parkinglot before moving, while driving, but mainly while slowing down....while using the brakes. I have taken it to the dealership 4 or 5 times now, and they cant reproduce the problem in their shop, so they dont know how to fix it. It is getting worse now. Flashing and dinging when slowing down on the highway, or when going down hill. I am worried that it may trigger something, like the brakes. The dealership has worked with me, still "trying" to fix even after my warantee has expired. I also have the dash crack issue too .and is very concerning being on the rim of the air bag .this needs to be looked into and not wait til something bad happens. Be proactive, not reactive.

Twice the steering in sierra has locked up while turning. The first time i was taking a curve to the right, and the steering wheel wouldn't allow me to curve right. It would still allow me to turn left. After coming to a stop and parking the truck, the issues resolved itself. The second occurrence happened as i was taking a left turn. I had completed the left turn, and as the wheel was returning to the center(turning back to the right), the wheel locked.i was forced into the next lane and almost caused an accident. I had to use a lot of strength, and i eventually forced it. When it broke free, it made a loud pop sound. The dealership could not find the cause of the problem. I am afraid to drive the truck.

There is a crack in my truck's dashboard on the passenger side,right next to the airbag section.the dashboard cracked on its own,as it was never subjected to any kind of an impact or force. My reasonable doubt is that it cracked due to being made of low quality material. I took the truck to my local gmc dealership,same place where i always take my truck for anything concerning my truck. When i brought my truck and showed a service dept. Employee, i was told that neither my regular,nor my extended vehicle warranty covered the damage,and if i wanted it replaced i would need to pay ~$250!!! i was stunned and appalled that i would need to pay to replace something that was clearly a low quality product,something i already paid for when i bought the truck brand new. I will never go back to that dealership, or another gmc dealership as a matter of fact, ever again, just out of spite. I feel cheated and conned, as not only did the gmc not want to replace the dashboard,it was not even covered under the extended warranty i purchased when i got the vehicle brand new. I suspect gmc knew about this issue so they intentionally did not cover it under the vehicle warranty. My real concern isn't in the aesthetics of a cracked dashboard,it is for the safety of the passengers that drive in my truck. If,god forbid,i was to get into a car accident and the airbag deploys, there is a very real chance that the airbag might get punctured on the edge of the cracked dashboard and fail to do its function as it would immediately deflate. This is a serious safety hazard and one that might cost someone their life,do we really need to wait for something bad to happen (like the gmc issue with the ignition switch which cost people their lives after their gmc vehicle unexpectedly shut down in the middle of the highway!!) before something is done and gmc does the right thing and owns up to its mistake?

Vertical plastic cover next to accelerator pedal.there is a vertical plastic cover of some type, on the right side of theaccelerator pedal that the right side of the sole of my dress shoes gets caught on, delaying my foot from reaching and applying the brake pedal.these valuable milliseconds is going cause someone out there to get killed or seriously maimed.

Dash is cracking everywhere. It look piss poor for $35000 truck.it's started with a small crack. I tried to bond it together.then eventually it spread leaving large holes and cracks.

Plastic "molded rivets" are breaking on the knee bolster that holds the metal shield behind it. I've been told this shield is to guard from injury from the steering column during a crash. I've read reports online of people removing this guard since it has started rattling. I will not remove mine, but i'm not going to install bolts through the knee booster to secure it. It's just a matter of time before the remaining plastic breaks free and this will be discarded. If it's truly a safety item, i believe it needs to have better security than molded into the brittle plastic that we all know gm has in these trucks from the lawsuit on dashboards.

The vehicle contains takata airbags that an open recall was started 3 years ago for but a decision has never been made. The dash has now cracked near the airbags. If the airbags deploy they could cause shrapnel from the dash to be put into the cabin. There is an open lawsuit in the us and canada with gm in regards to the dash. The vehicle is also displaying intermittent airbag service error messages. Gm will not diagnose the airbag issue for free and want's anywhere from $150-$250 simply to read the code plus whatever the repair would cost. Gm also wants $1500-$2000 to replace the dash. Gm has deemed this vehicle "safe" but will not stand behind that "safe" designation by diagnosing the airbag issue for free. The airbag service light started off very infrequently and has started to become more frequent. I have also been cut by the dash on multiple occasions, which presents a huge safety hazard.gm corporate will not give any timeline to a resolution and will only pay for repairs once the nhtsa forces them into a recall.a "safe" vehicle does not injury it's users or report errors with its safety systems frequently.

Rear center leaf spring broke on drivers side and then turned and hit body, a month or so later passenger side did the same thing. Gm knows there is a problem , they even send a letter saying so. It seems to me this is a safety issue if these broken leafs are falling out traveling on the highway?

Sent letters to gm executives who replied back that age and mileage of truck was too far outside warranty. No consolation offered except a minor credit toward new vehicle purchase. The parking brake light turns on randomly, when just starting the vehicle, when just sitting in the parkinglot before moving, while driving, but mainly while slowing down....while using the brakes. I have taken it to the dealership 4 or 5 times now, and they cant reproduce the problem in their shop, so they dont know how to fix it. It is getting worse now. Flashing and dinging when slowing down on the highway, or when going down hill. I am worried that it may trigger something, like the brakes. The dealership has worked with me, still "trying" to fix even after my warantee has expired. I also have the dash crack issue too .and is very concerning being on the rim of the air bag .this needs to be looked into and not wait til something bad happens. Be proactive, not reactive.

Not necessarily an incident.i bought the truck used in january 2014.the dash was already cracked.since then people have been talking about the dashes cracking on gm trucks and yukons 2008-2010.mine since i bought it has cracked more, and coming loose, one crack is near the air bag.i have brought it to gm's attention at my local dealership they refuse to fix it and want to charge me the full price of the dash to replace it with the same thing that was there, so it can break/crack again???i took it to another dealership they say theyll fix it only for a percentage for the time past the warranty on the vehicle, and that its a one time deal i cant get the price and go back later.this has gone unrecognised by gm as a serious issue and a serious safety hazard if air bags deploy.

I bought this truck brand new and i can always remember hearing loud pops coming from the dash area on a regular basis. For several thousand miles, there was no visual damage as a result of these pops. Around 60,000 miles, however, i began to. Notice a crack in the dashboard near the passenger air bag. As i continued to drive the truck, i still heard the occasional pop and another crack soon appeared above the instrument cluster. More mikes driven, more pops, and more cracks. As anyone would do, i took my truck into the local gm dealership to let them know that something was wrong with the dashboard. I always used a sunshade when parking outside and i kept it parked in the garage at home. I also keep my truck maintained very well, as i can't stand a dirty and neglected vehicle. Since it had been well-maintained and was never driven hard, i expected gm to see the damage and replace it under warranty. To my dismay, however, they said that due to the age and mileage, that they would not be able to offer any assistance. Gm quoted me around $1200 to replace the dashboard if i wanted to get rid of the cracks.astonished that gm would not warranty an obvious faulty item, i then searched online to see if anyone else had the same problem. I quickly found others in forums, youtube videos, and on facebook that had the exact same problem as myself, with cracks in the exact same places and very similar responses from gm when they tried to have the issue resolved. I found a group on facebook dedicated to this exact problem and it is consistent in '07-'13 model gm trucks and suvs.after being denied assistance by gm, having some mechanical knowledge, as well as the desire to continue driving this truck longer, i removed the dashboard only to find cracks in the dashboard where the screws fastened it in place, as well as clips broken off that were meant to hold it down into place.

Takata passenger airbag gm recall n212328780. Gm safety recall letter dated 02/2021 indicating part is not currently available and i will be notified once parts are available. I request, with concern, an investigation be performed on the airbag propellant components for signs of expansion problem which may have caused a crack/split in vehicle dash surface. This complete crack/split is located near upper left corner of recalled passenger airbag/cover. Dash appears to be slightly raised in that area of crack/split. Previous gm recall issued for same dash problem for other model year vehicles?

The dash has cracked over the gauges and at the corner of the air bag on passenger side. I just bought the truck so not sure how long the cracks have been there!

Upon entering the vehicle, i noticed a line on the dashboard, and when i ran my fingers across it to check it out. I discovered that the dashboard was cracked. When i got home i inspected the crack a little closer and realized that this crack had been there for awhile,i just could not see it.the older part of the crack was black and the new crack was gray.this crack is consistent with other gm truck owners, and what they are experiencing with these type vehicles.this crack is in the same vulnerable location near the upper left corner of the airbag.i am currently working with gmc to replace this faulty material.this truck is 6 years old and has low mileage.this is a safety issue when it comes to the airbag deploying.no one knows how much of the dashboard will deploy with the airbag.gmc needs a recall... The internet is full of testimonies about gm products cracking dashboards.an investigation is necessary to find out about the quality of the material used in manufacturing these dashboards.

Was driving and noticed a rattle noise in the dash.looked around the top of the dash and found 2 cracks (2 and 3 inches long) on the dashboard above the instrument panel.i never put anything on the dashboard.it looks like probably a crack caused by the heat.

Hello, i was just at mossy gmc in new orleans,la., where i went to see about getting my recalled airbag ordered and replaced. The service rep told me that when they change out the airbag, most of the time the dashboard cracks even more, where they willbe working, but they will not replace the broken dashboard. I feel that this is totally rediculous! if i didn't have that damage before going into a service center, and now i have damage caused by the service center, i should not be having to pay for a new dashboard out of my own pocket. I feel that a cracked dashboard could compound the severity of a car crash, being said, it could shatter into pieces upon airbag deployment and send shards of dashboard flying at both the driver and their passengers. The shards, could also lacerate the airbags and render them useless. Please help me out with this situation.

Dash has cracked in 5 places the dash is also peeling paint. Also the crime interior handles the chime is pulling off and extremely sharp. My exterior door handles paint is falling off in chunks on all 4 doors. My drivers side seat the lumbar support broke 3 times.

I'm having electrical/computer problems that started over a year ago and continue to increase.first, my speakers go off and on as they please. The driver side door speaker is the only one that stays on consistently, and it has nothing to do with hitting bumps or anything else. Second, my power looks have gone out. My key fob will still work them and they still lock and unlock when truck is moved between park and drive. But the buttons on the door do not work. I've replaced all the fuses, and still, nothing.third, my cruise control is going out. On a long drive i used it for half and then the other half it wouldn't even try to come back on. A few days later it worked again.

Vertical plastic cover next to accelerator pedal.there is a vertical plastic cover of some type, on the right side of theaccelerator pedal that the right side of the sole of my dress shoes gets caught on, delaying my foot from reaching and applying the brake pedal.these valuable milliseconds is going cause someone out there to get killed or seriously maimed.

Due to this accident i has sustained neck injury, and neither gmac or the dealership will respond to the concerns about the air bags not deploying from a front end collision over 40 miles an hour doing $5000.00 worth of damage to the truck or even looking at the gas pedal sticking. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they advised him that the throttle positioning sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Entering a highway from a stop, proceeded to accelerate normally and gradually.after approx. Shift between 1st and 2nd gear, the gas pedal was 'sucked' down to the floor and remained stuck in that position.the truck lurched forward and behaved like it was in 'passing' gear.i tried to tap the pedal to release it, but had no effect.i turned the cruise control on then off (did not set a speed) and had no effect.i depressed the brakes fairly hard which slowed the truck down, but that did not release the gas pedal; as soon as i left off the brakes, the truck again accelerated at full speed.alternating between the brakes and tapping the gas pedal eventually unstuck the gas pedal..note that my 'speed' was 0-50mph when i was able to unstuck the gas pedal.i stated the incident occurred at (approx) 15mph, the speed when shifting between first and second.

I purchased my truck about 1 year ago and it had 32,00 miles on it, it now has 40,000 miles.everything was fine with it until about mid-april.i was driving to kalamazoo to see my daughter on i-94 around 72 mph with the cruise control on.i turned on my left turn signal to change lanes to pass the person in front of me and to my dismay my speed dropped drastically as the cruise control disengaged.this happened several times on the way to kalamazoo that day.it also got worse on this trip, sometimes the door locks would lock and unlock, all of the lights on the dashboard turned on and off and every time anything happened the speed dropped, which to me is a safety hazard and should be part of a recall.when i got home the next day, i called levalley gmc to take a look at my truck (where it's been serviced since purchase). When i explained the situation to them, they claimed they never heard of it.that's strange because if this situation is googled, there is a lot of information about what could be wrong.lo and behold a day and a half later my truck was fixed at a cost of $1069.71 for diagnosis and 3 cables, all positive and negative battery cables. I consider this situation a serious safety issue. I sent a letter to gm customer service. Lou contacted me and left a voice mail with case number 8-4206988703 (6/4/18). I called customer service and spoke with toni also 6/4/18. Toni reviewed the case and asked what i was requesting. I told her that this is a very serious safety matter that should be addressed and i would like to be compensated somehow. Toni stated that there is no recall for this situation and there is nothing that she can do. I told her maybe there should be a recall and i again stated that this is a serious safety issue

Throttle body unit on 2009 gmc sierra truck burned out & needed replacing at 38 thousand miles. Gmc paid for my repair after many conversations with them, even tho they stated it was out of warranty. I put the money out to have it fixed, they are reimbursing me via check to my home address. My co-worker had the same thing happen to him about 2 weeks ago, his throttle body unit burned out on his chevy silverado, his is out of warranty as well, his truck is only 3 years old. He was told when he went to get his repaired the part was on a national back order. This sounds like these are going bad all over!!!

Obstructed view out of windshield on passenger side.the wiper only covers 2/3rds of the passenger side of windshield.in snow and ice storm conditions the passenger side wiper is not functional and because a visibility safety issue.also the passenger side of windshield does not defrost and is a contributing factor to the wiper blade not clearing the windshield.reported to dealer who replace wiper blades but this does not correct the defroster issue or the wiper safety visibility problem on the passenger side during a storm rain or snow etc.

Headlamps are dull and visibility is limited at nighttime due the dullness that is caused by head lamp covers oxidizing and having moisture buildup inside.

After being stopped with engine off and emergency brake engaged, started engine, disengaged emergency brake and accelerated. Significant vibration in the rear of the truck. Took vehicle to chevrolet/gmc dealership and was advised that the rear wheel cylinders were leaking and needed to be replaced after only 43500 miles. This incident followed an issue on 11-29-12 where the throttle position sensor malfunctioned and the engine ran very rough and the truck was difficult to stop.

Thankfully i was driving on a city road at about 25-30 mph. When i heard a loud squeak and a little noise. I thought that something must have fallen in the bed of the truck. I looked in my mirror and saw my spare tirelaying in the middle of the lane.thankfully, there were no cars following. I turned around and found that the cable that holds the spare tire up under the bed of the truck had brokenand dropped the tireand the components that hold the spare tire in place where laying on thepavement.i normally drive on a very busy interstate road at 70 mph. I can not even imagine what could have happen this had happened on that road!i am sure that someone could have been killed!i have contacted a dealer and i am still waiting to hear what they want to charge me to fix the issue.
