What is happening to claim 10134972?

Air bags failed to deploy on our gm xuv after major crash into drivers side door and side frame. Called local dealer, referred to gm regional, said "they didn't make the air bags". Wrote to gm home office referred back to regional. Regional said file was in "legal" gave up trying.

On july 16th, 2005; i was involved in a life changing, single vehicle auto accident. I struck a hill with the front right side of the vehicle with enough excessive force to flip this cadillac escalade head first. The escalade flipped twice, impacting the front of the vehicle and landing up side down. Astonishingly, out of the four air bags in this vehicle, not one of them deployed. I purchased this 2004 escalade brand new and at the time of the accident it only had 15,000 miles. The vehicle is a total loss and it is utterly unbelievable that the air bags did not deploy. I was so impressed with the raved reviews, consumer reports including safety features, and stylish body that this cadillac escalade became the vehicle of my dreams. Needless to say, i am very disappointed with my cadillac experience. I do not trust this vehicle enough to get into another one. I know that i am only here because god decided the spare my life. As a direct result of this accident i frequently suffer severe migraines, dizzy spells, blurred vision, memory loss, and anxiety/panic attacks all which keep me from sleeping. It is extremely difficult to commute from doctors appointments and work for fear of another accident. The next week i had severe chest, shoulder and lower back pains; all of which i am being treated for on a regular basis. I also seek treatment from a neurologist for the head injury. I believe that this vehicle has a serious problem with the air bags and gm should strongly consider investigating this matter.

Bad 3 vehickle auto accident on i-96 in michigan. A white car stopped or stalled in center lane of highway and was then hit by a green car and we hit the green car "head on" in the rear.. Air bags did not deploy with a direct head on hit at 65 to 70 miles per hour. My truck was a 1997 gmc jimmy.

For the past few months when i turn on my truck the airbag light turns on and stays on for a few hours stating that it needs service. It happens every few weeks and it can be very dangerous. If i were to be involved in a car accident the air bags may or may not deploy. I had taken it back to the dealership where i purchased the truck to take a look at it and they said it was ok, that i must of passed a bump too fast causing it to turn on, but it has been quite a while and it continues to do the same thing. I guarantee no bump would cause a air bag light to turn on and malfunction. As if that was not enough of a problem in the beginning of this month (march) i started having trouble with the gas gauge. At first when i would fill it up it would read empty and would register about 30 minutes later to the correct level. Now it doesn't register at all, it just moves from side to side, states empty when i fill up and everymorning when i turn the truck on and says i have a quarter tank there after. What sad is that i am not the only person with this problem and it has not been recalled. This can be a safety hazard and causes distractions when driving.

Driving from work-snowy/icy conditions. Smelled a strange odor in vehicle going from i-270s to i-370w ~ 1/4 mile from ramp. Traffic moderate. Traveling 45 mph i tapped brakes, they went all way to floor. Turned off electrical equipment. Used engine braking selecting 3-2-1 to slow vehicle. Vehicle slowed, applied emergency brake - drove to brake down lane. Vehicle stopped-white smoke coming around edges of hood. Lower portion of windshield had couple of heat discoloration marks about 1/4 size of a penny in the middle lower portion. Air bag light came on. Dash did not feel hot, nor the instrument panel - no smoke inside vehicle. Hood would not open by hood release. Power windows worked. Egressed vehicle and driver sdie air bag inflated. Called 911 awaited fire/polcie dept. Opened driver's and passenger doors. Flames coming from steering column where it enters fire wall.flames underneath vehicle from engine near skid plate/transfer case. Used small fire extinguisher on flames in cabin and under vehicle to no avail. Front driver's side from center console to driver's side door melted away at about 45 deg angle from top to bottom of console. Inside engine the thydraulic drive unit and barke master cyclinder had melted. Significant burn damage from fire in engine. Vehicle-total loss. Very fortunate to recognize bad smell, id brake malfunction, use engine braking to control vehicle; use emergency braking to stop - moderate traffic. Minimized potential hazard to single vehicle-no injuries or fatalities.

The speedometer, gas gauge, and oil pressure gauge firststarted fluctuating then eventually stopped working completely. The drivers door panel has completely went out. It smelt like something was burning but there wasn't a fire. I've had both situations checked out and the mechanic states this is very common in the envoys and trailblazers but it is still at my expense.

I own a 2001 gmc yukon and this is the second time the abs module has failed on it.after it fails, the motor continues to run.not only do you not have abs, but the motor heats up.if you don't notice it right away, it will drain your battery, leave you stranded, or worse.

Vehicle had an engine miss fire that required replacement of the head.miss. Returned shortly after repairs.dealer said there was no miss.vehicle filled up with water during a rainstorm.all interior had to be removed and dried out.electrical problems occurred that required four batteries over 12 months.dealer stated it was my problem, because i had a small inverter for computer.sold the vehicle to the hummer dealer at a loss of $15,000.hummer refused any assistance after first stating they would.

Tech at the dealership could not turn vehicle off using the ignition key.vehicle leaks after driving in rain.have service invoices stating that dealer performed water tests after each repair and found no leak yet vehicle has leaked after every repair.have detailed color photos of soaked wires, saturated headliner, mold damage and corroded fuse block.vehicle was only driven a total of 689 miles from date of the initial leak to date of the third leak.during third leak, water also dripped from vehicle's rear display onto third row seats.i feel that gm knew about this problem from the beginning because their aug08 #08207 recall actually identified vin breakpoints of the affected vehicles.instead, gm chose to deal with it on a case-to-case basis and it has become a very serious issue.the consequences of the water damage can and have already been far-reaching and potentially could injure, kill or affect the health of owners of these vehicles.consider opening defect investigation, order gm to do safety recall to fix problembefore someone is seriously injured.this deserves some press.

Day of purchase, major engine failures replacement of nearly everything then some. Continues to arc electrical sparks under the hood.electrical shorting of all components within the van internal engine issues not correctable just bandaiding fuel issues with oil coolant and arcing constitutes a fire and possibly death.i have all serviced repair documents if one should need to view them.

The 2003 envoy we purchased gave us numerous problems, including a number of the ones other owners mentioned here, like the glassliftgate that does not operate properly, variouselectrical problems, but especially theoutside rear view mirrors thatmove on their own no matter how many times they were supposedly fixed by servicetechnicians. They do not stay in theposition we set them in, and the fuel tank leakingis very dangerous as well as inhaling freon because of malfunctioning a/c system. Why is gmc doing nothing to solve theseproblems?i can't understand how they are getting away with this seeing that so many owners are having the same problems.what do we have to do to get some help?

Oil gauge and gas gauge faulting...no air through front dash vents..air vents out since may 2011...someone said it happens when you change your battery..oil gauge faulted after a routine oil change 6months ago...gas gauge began 1month ago.

Out of nowhere my front head lights went out. Its not the fuse or the bulbs, both front low lights went out.the high beams work. There is no power going to the lights and i have to buy a new switch.i also had to replace the engine almost a year ago because the o rings went up. The gas gauge is broken and my passenger window will not go down. I feel so stuck with this car!

I purchased a 1999 yukon denali from my former brother n law; he didn't inform me thatmy windows, door locks, radio, and windshield wipers would stop working. I was told that i needed a body control module; one gmc mechanic asked me what does this part do. I'm a lady how would i know these things. I still don't have my vehicle repaired. Will this cause me other problems or can i continue to drive off a wing and a prayer?

Well i have a 2006 envoy, the battery hand bounces between 0-14 volts replaced the battery, had the alter nator checked and its fine. I talked to the guy at a gmc deal he said its the dashboard switches.. And the check engine light comes on and off, he said its a sensor or the dash panel. Who knows. You shouldn't have to go thru al this hassel. I want mine fixed.......

1995 gmc jimmy sls4 door 4wd vortec 4.3 l v6. We have had this thing for 7 years and nothing i have ever owned has taught me more about being a "shadetree" mechanic!the list is as follows, break booster replaced 2 times. Egr valve replaced 3 times. Front brakes replaced at least 12 times (they fail every 1500 to 1800 miles!) back hatch wont open. Both set of wipers, front and back do not work( safety issue!) engine overheats. Water pump replaced 2 times. Thermostat replaced 3 times. Lights flicker as if the altenator is going bad,(resulting in police asking me to check into this.) battery replaced 4 times (average life of new battery, 4 years!) transmission shifts very hard when engine is cool/ hot! starting to see rust in trans, dipstick. Sometimes cant shift from 2 wd to 4 wd and when able, transfer case makes clicking sound. This is not a phony complaint! i need help with this as i never see a recall, warranty is out and i cant afford to take it in. I don't think i left any thing out, but im sure my wife will let me know. You can give my name to who ever when ever if it will help us fix this situation. *nlm

2004 chevy trailblazer electrical system has serious problems. In the rather short time i have owned it, it has been in the dealer repair 7 times for the same group of problems. The outside mirrors keep pointing to the sky randomly causing brief confusion when they are needed for safety. The pre-set memory keeps clearing itself. The headlights and dash lights often go very dim and flicker causing distraction to the other drivers and fear in the driver operating this vehicle. The driver's side heated seat stopped working. The passenger side door window controls randomly stop working. Turning off the vehicle and restarting it is the only way to correct it. All of these items have been looked at by the dealer but no solution has been found. Several computer reprogramming and parts have been replaced but the problems still remain. The dealer does not acknowledge that information posted on the internet by other owners of this vehicle is valid. That is bull~h@t !they seem reluctant to continue troubleshooting it. My greatest fear is that it ends up burning to the ground like many other owners have reported. Something has to be a common problem for all of these electrical issues with these vehicles.

When i was driving down the highway i set my cruise control and after driving a little while it reset causing me to slow down in the middle of the highway. The second is when attempting to start my vehicle it wouldn't crank causing me to attempt two or three more times before it was successful. I took it too the dealership twice and they told me nothing was wrong with it. Third i woke up sunday morning and i had no heat in my truck the heater is blowing cool air i was told that was the blend box. And when i went to fill up my gas tank this morning the fuel meter stopped at 3/4 of a tank when i know it is on a full tank. I have not replaced any parts at this time because i am aware it will cost several hundred dollars to fix the blend box.

I have a 2003 yukon denali and when it hit the 65,000 miles mark the fuel gauge stopped working leaving me to tell how much gas i had left using the automatic computer telling you how many miles to empty. Next the oil gauges stopped working. Finally reaching 80,000 miles my speed odometer quite working leaving me to not knowing the speed i am traveling this quite working while i was driving down a highway. To make matters worse my rpms are starting to go goofy which means that to is going to stop working as well. I was told that having my dash taken off and fixed could run anywhere between 1,000.00 not including labor fees. Which is crazy that gmc doesn't stand behind its work. People cant afford to be paying for this to get fixed let alone speeding tickets. I believe something needs to be done after reading about so many people have this same problem with the all having the same year yukon denali.. You pay all this money for a vehicle and something like this happens!!!

Speedometer on my 2005 chevrolet silverado sticks and intermittent, sometimes its shows me driving 120 mph when going 20 to 30 miles per hour.have left it cool down, then start the engine numerous times for it to reset in 5 mph increments until it returns to 0 mph.sluggish going to 0 mph when stopping at a stop sign etc.definite safety issue since i don't know how fast i am going other than going with the flow, it is consistently doing these symptoms all the time now.

Occasionally while driving (no particuliar speed) all the warning lights will illuminate on the speedometer/rpm cluster and then both the speedometer and rpm gage will register (0) zero.after a short time, 2 to 5 minutes everything will return to normal.

I have a 2003 gmc yukon denali that at approximately 60,000 the speedometer stopped working properly. I would be driving in a residential area and the speedometer would read 100 mph or more. Sometimes it would get stuck on a certain speed even after parking. I looked into getting it fixed but i was told that it would cost between 500 or 1000 dollars and there was a possibility the warranty would not cover it. I have now seen that i am not the only one with this problem and it is a shame that a vehicle company as gmc has not stepped up to help us fix this problem since it is a danger to have a problem such as this.

I have a 2004 gmc yukon denali and as i see from the many complaints before me my cluster has went out. I have no use of my dashboard at all. No use of gas gauge. No use of speedometer. No use of oil gauge. No use of anything on dash. Why after all the complaints has gmc not done anything. If this causes an accident like what is going on now with ignition switch they will pay so much more with lawsuits. I will be the first in line, can't tell you how many times i have ran off the road for lack of gas

Speedometer has completely failed and gm/chevy knows of the problem and will not do anything to fix on a trailblazer.this is a hazard.

2005 gmc envoyout of the blue my speedometer works intermittently and my gas gauge reads empty with light on even though i have a full tank of gas!additionally the factory speakers work intermittently.this vehicle has electrical issues!

2003 gmc tahoe. Speedometer quit working while on the highway.

The gas gauge is reading empty although just filled with gas.it started fluctuating but now it just remains on empty despite gas tank being full.this is the second time, i have had the same problem.the first time it was changed free of change because car was still under warranty.there is something obviously defective with the gas gauge of this car and it is certainly a safety hazard of not knowing when you need to refill, vehicle stalled in the middle of the road with my three little children in it and costly repairs.gmc must be held accountable for this defect and a recall should be done immediately.

2004 gmc envoy xuv faulty speedometer, the speedometer reads false reading, traveling on highway doing what i thought was 55 and i was pulled over for doing 72 miles in a 55 zone.

While backing out of the garage, it was observed that i was traveling at a rate of 120mph.i took my 2004 yukon to the garage only to find out that the instrument panel needs to be replaced (at a cost of $800.00).the mechanic stated that this is becoming a common occurrence with the 2004 yukon and that this has not been recalled.my question to gmc is, how many deaths does it take to get a recall?this is a very serious safety concern and should be addressed as so.i bought my truck used, and the warranty is no longer valid.my sister owns a 2005 yukon that she just purchased (still under warranty) and her instrument panel was just replaced last week.

I have a 2000 slt jimmy which has been a pain.i've had lower ball joints replaced, upper ball joints replaced, major problems with the brakes, u joints replaced, hub and wheel bearing problems, altenator failure, a/c blower motor replaced, broken blend door which caused encoder motor and module failure, rear wiper moter replaced, back window lock replaced.too many things have gone wrong with this vehicle.gmc should consider some sort of recall because i've read many complaints regarding some of the same issues.

We had purchase a 2002 hyundai sante fe on 07/05/05 motor way auto group. The car started to ride rough. So we took it to our repair guy, at this time we though it was the fuel pump. Before he could check anything i took my car home and it just stopped and would not start again. At this time he change the crankshaft assembly-water pump, timing belt. A lot of costly repairs. He told us that it is rare that all those sensors went bad at one time. So i checked to see if there was a recall on that system and i got this report. How do i go by getting my car fix right.

Purchased my saturn vue used in march 2005...at that time i had 6k miles left on the original warranty...in june 2005 took it to my local saturn dealership to take care of all normal issues & get a maint checkup...at that time they replaced the resistor- engine cooling fan (due to blowing hot air when air conditioner was on), head lamp assembly composite on front left (cracked where bolted to frame), obd system upgrade (recall), replacement of rear lateral link assembly (recall), and last the gear shift cable was replaced/adjusted & lubed due to going bad - at that time they never disclosed to me that the gear shift cable had already been replaced 3x's since jan 2003.on dec 24th @ 10:00am...my entire gear shift assembly failed and left me stranded...the car was towed to the dealership that i purchased it from...due to me being 5,000 over my warranty...they were not going to replace it...approx cost of $450.i went directly over to my local dealership....fort wayne, in saturn...a service consultant pulled up the history of my vue and displayed to me that the gear shift had been worked on 4 other times...his service manager stated he would not take care of it due to the warranty had expired & it was not his fault...i called saturn's corporate office informed them of the issue...they informed me that they would get it taken care of with no questions asked...waiting to see what is done...my vehicle is currently at the dealership....as for the service manager @ fw, in saturn dealership...i have heard numerous complaints about how he treats customers from friends that are also saturn owners... 8jb

Engine and engine cooling:cooling system.engine coolant has broken down at 60,000 miles 10/1/2001, 70,000 miles 6/1/2002, 79,000 1/30/2003 and has became sludge.owner's manual states 100,000 mile maintenance. Dealer (gmc)wants to replace thermostat, radiator, heater core at my expense.system has been super flushed, cleaned and new dex-cool coolant per dealer recommendations.dealer even states coolant is bad.gmc states iit is my fault.

Low coolant light came on. Could smell burning coolant turns out the intake manifold gasket was cracked causing coolant to leak. Paid $900 in repairs. Contacted general motors and the will not do anything at this time. Seems to be a common problem with this model car. This happened at 71,000 miles.

Transmission went out couldn't drive-repaired/ rear window won't roll-up/seatbelt won't retract, later fixed, but still won't work on occasion/ brake lights have gone out 5+ times repaired still not operational/ water pump exploded/rear window won't lock first try/ check engine llight stays on.

Continues to arc electrical sparks under the hood.electrical shorting of all components within the van internal engine issues not correctable just bandaiding fuel issues with oil coolant and arcing constitutes a fire and possibly death.i have all serviced repair documents if one should need to view them.

First the engine started making noise and the engine light came on, the dealer replaced a belt for 200.00. Secondly the gas gauge stopped reading fuel levels, dealer stated that the sensor was dead and would cost 300.00 to replace. Next the engine died in the middle of the street. The vehicle will not turn over and the engine light is back on. Also they had a sunroof installed for me. A week after purchase the sunroof started to open and close even when the car was shut off, it was repaired but now i am having the same problem again.

My boyfriend(mario diego) and i (carmenia)purchased a 1998chevy tahoe.from brooks motor companyon april 1,2005. From april 1 to june 29,2005. The tahoe had to be returned to brooks motor service center 8 to 9different times for repairs. Now my car rear end has broke and not drivable.

Exhaust manifold failure. Mechanic says in 25 years he has never seen as many failures as in these models,as it is usually very rare for them to fail. In researching on line i have found it is a common problem in '03 through '08 model gmc envoys and chevy trailblazers.

I recently had $2,900 worth of repairs done to my 2002 ford escape xlt in july. My vehicle was bucking and almost stalled when i pulled into the nearest service center. The check engine light was on. The mechanic diagnosed the problem as clogged cat converters. The car has three sets of them. This is the effect of the cause which he believed was faulty oxygen sensors as well as bad spark plugs. At the end of sept the car was not running well and i went to another mechanic who said the egr valve was blown and their was broken bolts where the mechanic was replacing the exhaust system. I was furious and proceeded to return to the merrick bellmore service center. He told me if the problem was on his end that he will take care of it and then diagnosed that the cats where clogged again. He didn't properly diagnose the cause of the cats getting clogged the first time. The mechanic has since replaced three sets of cat converters and he has a bill for $1600 and has had my car at his shop for two months now. The shop is "trying" to get ford to pay for the exhaust parts. After numerous attempts to speak with the owners of this service station to no avail (the clerks tell me 5 different set of names as to who is the owner) all i want is my car back and let this service station "eat" this current bill due to the fact that on the bill that i paid in july the warranty on parts is one year or $12,000 miles. I am frustrated, angry and don't know where to turn.

Got in my vehicle one morning and low beam head lights( daytime runnings) did not come on but the high beams would nor would they come one manually. I drove for awhile then they came on. I would drive down the road and they will flicker.they do scome one every once in awhile. Nothing has been done as of yet.

I first noticed a clunk when i turn the tires and then when i turn the steering back and forth, then i was turning from one street to another when i slowed down to make a turn the steering locked up and the first time this happened i almost hit the car sitting waiting at the stop line on the opposite side, i had to use all my strength to turn the steering wheel to complete the turn, 2 mechanic shops said they would not work on my auto because they have to many complaints on the repairs they did for the same issues once it had been repaired because the problem has to do with the rack and pinion and it wont correct after the replacement of that part, and they told me to go back to the dealership, but if it won't correct the problem after i have it replaced then my auto won't be any good, i need some assurance from gm about this problem.

I noticed within a week when i applied the brakes the nose would dip and the car would steer to the left, it got worse and worse until i would feel like i was losing control of the car, especially on the freeway going 65 mph. I took the car in to tuffy and they said that the crossmember was rusted and told me it was absolutely unsafe to drive. I had it towed to the frame and axel place and they couldn't believe what they saw. They ordered the part and replaced it. I spent over $900 getting it fixed! they let me keep the part and said that i should defiantly follow up on this with a chevy dealership. I still have the part and a picture of it that can be found on carspace.com. I have been communicating with another person about this same issue but theirs actually broke while driving, fortunately just getting off the freeway before it happened! tuffy told me that if this had broken during freeway driving it would have thrown me into the next lane. This should not have happened.

First problem occurred in 2008, driving to work in 2003 gmc envoy slt (original owner)heard clunking noise when downshifting. Took car in to shop for repair (just over 50k miles so out of warranty). Shop explained that the transmission needed to be replaced $4000 with one year warranty. Since i was planning on driving cross country decided to do the repair. One year later, driving and trying to accelerate on a ramp to find suv stuck in second gear and wouldn't accelerate while rpm kept going up. Also heard clunking when downshifting. Pulled over and tried to get gears to shift by slowing down and speeding up (to get rpm to drop). Drove car to dealer who stated i needed a new transmission (again). Dealer removed transmission and "found input bushing in pump bad. And reverse drum. And had heavy metal contamination". When asked why this is my third transmission in six years the service agent said "bad luck". Both replacement transmissions were rebuilds. The current transmission is not under warranty.

I opened my tailgage today, 12/13/09, to put some items into my trunk.i leaned in to get them situated & secure when suddenly the liftgate slammed down on my lower back, trapping me against the inside of my trunk. I was unable to lift the gate and had to slither out onto the ground, at which point the liftgate completely closed. I reopened the liftgate, unsure of what had happened, and woosh! it slammed shut again. The liftgate will not stay up, and clearly the sensors that are supposed to detect objects impeding it's closure are not working. I have two small children who often get items out of the trunk - such as jackets or umbrellas - and if this had happened to them, it would have been their head or neck that got caught. I brought the car into lehmer's gmc in concord ca this morning after visiting the doctor who looked at my swollen lower back. They told me since i wished to file a claim with gmc -- not for compensation, simply to have official written notice that this is a dangerous occurrence -- that they would not repair the liftgate and would have to give it back to me still damaged and dangerous.i'm quite surprised that they would return a potentially dangerous vehicle to a customer.my lower back is currently swollen and sore. I've called my doctor's office to request an appointment for tomorrow morning when they open and i will be taking the car into concord gmc for service.

Edmond, ok.26 mar 04.3:30pm.followed white gmc sierra pickup west on nw 178th street from western ave to portland ave (hwy 74).noted unsecured compressed gas cylinder on top of left tool box.cylinder was rolling side to side between four inch high squire tube retainers.name on truck door was hill and company.truck licenses was oklahoma x78-239.truck turned south on hwy 74 and traveled at speed inexcess of 70 mph.problem was that cylinder could have bounced off truck causing a serious traffic accident and/or explosion.no hazmat placards on truck.

I would just like to start out by saying i enjoy gm vehicles. They are all i drive, but sometimes they have little problems. Like my 2000 gmc jimmy sls. The recline handle on the drivers and passengers seat keep falling off and stripping the bear metal. I never pull on them so they dont get pulled on. I would just like to know how you intend to fix the problem and when.now there is nothing else wrong with the suv but minor things due to age. I would just like to know how you intend to fix the problem. Thank you for your time. Michael diemert

When you tap on the brakes the truck practically skips across the pavement thought it was minor ticket to mechanic nothing came up for a code couldn't see anything now the truck you can't even touch the brakes but that is skips me across the pavement and now when he drives it also has a bumpiness to it andi have two small children and this is my work truck and means of transportation right now i read online there was a recall for this year make and model for the brakes

2000gmc jimmy has had 4 fuel pumps in last year and a half just stopping while driving in traffic and 2 transmissions same as fuel pumps stopping while in heavy traffic. Wiring harness very brittle.

The steering gear box appears to be loose, vehicles under warranty are getting repaired but those out of warranty are not. When i had the tailgate hinges replaced, the dealer explained what was wrong with my truck but could not repair it.it'sa nerve racking vibration which should be taken care of and feels like the left front wheel assemblt is about to fall off.

My vehicle is a 2002 chevrolet trail blazer of which i purchased new. Since day one the vehicle has been plagued with a multitude of problems. It has had an engine replacement, clutch fan ($620.00), tail lights, hvac controls $(200), exhaust manifold, recall items and now finally a transmission failure where the sun shell/gear let go costing me ($1858.03). Fast forward to today just 3 months after the transmission was "completely overhauled), the valve body id failing where the dealer has told me that "is not part of the 12 month, 12,000 warranty on the transmission."

I have had the wheel bearing replaced twice in eight months on the front driver's side tire.i just had the wheel bearing replaced on the front passenger side tire.what is going on with this?

I have a 2003 saturn vue.since i purchased this vehicle, i have now had 5 wheel bearings replaced, one per wheel and 2 on passenger front side.the first 4 were covered under warranty but the last one cost $410 to have replaced.i complained about the cost and since i had each wheel bearing replaced at the dealership, they only charged me 25% of the cost.five wheel bearings in 3 years in not a very good record.i would like to have this issue researched because, to me, it seems that it is either a lemon or a recall item.

Air bags failed to deploy on our gm xuv after major crash into drivers side door and side frame. Called local dealer, referred to gm regional, said "they didn't make the air bags". Wrote to gm home office referred back to regional. Regional said file was in "legal" gave up trying.

I was driving my 2007 chevy equinox, and i lost my steering. I had to fix the problem, i could not drive the vehicle.i had the same problem as the chevy cobalt is having now.i contacted gm for some assistance, and they did nothing. I want you to know that thechevy cobalt might not be the only vehicle that has this problem. Luckily for me, i did not have a accident, or any other issues listed below.

On may 28, 2004 i took my 2001 aztek to dealer to see why my air conditionerdid not blow cold air they found leak in right lower corner of condenser, $845 plus tax i declined the repairs but still cost me $75.00 just to check.i asked at a regular car repair place and they tried to get a new condenser but was told this was a defect and would not be able to fix.this was at 75,174 miles.i bought the car new.very few problems other than this.i am now at 97,000 and still no air.why fix if it will do it again.

Events that have lead up to the failure i believe is poor engineering of the product.i have a 2004 envoy xl that has the drivers' side power sear and lumbar compressor switch set on the side of the seat.the switches are surrounded by a than large piece of hard plastic.the way it is arranged on the seat no matter how a person get out of the vehicle; pressure is pushed down onto the plastic seat switch cover.i have replaced this product twice now within the past year and a half.the first time it cost me from 65 to 85 dollars to replace a .50 cent piece of plastic.i was told it had a twelve month warranty.within 3 to 6 months the same thing happened; my wife got out of the vehicle and the seat control switch plate fell to the ground.when i took it back to the dealer for the second time, the service manager asked the problem and when i told him about the switch control cover falling off again; the person stated, " i bet you are driving an envoy aren't you?"he then said those were a bad design for that model and pop off all the time.well after replacing the product under the warranty that covered the first one i replaced (bought), i asked does the 12 month warranty start over for the new product?he said no, and if it comes off again, and it will; you will have to buy the next cover plate again.that is wrong!!!if it is generally know throughout the gm service departments a problem exists why does the customer have to continue to pay???oh by the way, the plastic seat control cover did pop off again for the third time about 1 month ago, so i have engineered it with zip ties that are bright enough when the door is open for people to see what type of product gm actually builds.

Sir or ma'am,i bought a 1997 gmcsierra c/k series 1500 pickup in 1999. Recently while driving in the rain my windshield wiper became inoperative. This has happened several times and seems to fix itself after they dry out. I researched this problem on the internet and have found that gmc recall hundreds of thousands of its vehicles for this exact same problem. I contact gmc and they say that my vehicle has not been recalled for this problem when i know it is a factory defect and a severe safety problem because the driver has no visibility, while raining, when this happens.here is the information for my vehicle:1997 gmc sierra c/k1500 pickupi think gmc should repair this befre i have an accident and possibly seriously injure someone.thanksrobert jones.

Low coolant light came on. Could smell burning coolant turns out the intake manifold gasket was cracked causing coolant to leak. Paid $900 in repairs. Contacted general motors and the will not do anything at this time. Seems to be a common problem with this model car. This happened at 71,000 miles.

Rear air suspension was deflating after a few days of non use. Dealer inspected rear air springs/shocks and replaced under warranty. There seemed to be a leak in the air canister seal that caused the deflation. This occurred on 9/11/08 about 3.5 yrs after purchase and about 25k miles. As of 1 year later this has not occurred again.

8jb

The contact owns a 2003 chevrolet trailblazer.while driving approximately 5 mph the vehicle began making a loud noise.the contact pulled over and noticed that the rear driver's side tire was flat.while attempting to remove the spare tire the hoist failed to crank to release the spare tire.the serial number for the crank was not visible.the mechanic stated that the wires for the hoist were crossed.the current and failure mileages were 48,000.

2000 s-10 extreme suddenly cuts off and will not start again even though tank is full.2 mechanics say it is fuel sending unit inside gas tank.great expense to replace.researching on web find many, many other s-10 owners with exactly the same problem.

*nlm

The speedometer only works about 2% of the time. Typically it is stuck at 110 mph. I have heard numerous people complain about the same problem with their tahoe's.

The windshield wipers do not work all of the time.when they are turned on the you can here the motor running, but they will not come on.if you get out ofthe vehicle and move the wipers manually they will sometimes come on.this is on our 1997 4wd blazer.

Windshield wiper fluid reservoir has been replaced twice, and at the time of this complaint, it has been discovered that the plastic tank has cracked, and is leaking for the third time.

2 years ago, my husband and i bought a used 02 envoy slt. It had low milage and we loved it. Since then we have done all the factory suggested mantainance on it and over all have been good to it. On october 4, 2005. Our transmission went leaving us stuck on the side of the road for a several hours till a tow truck could come. The problem was our transmission. We needed a whole new one. Gm knows that this is an issue but instead of correcting the problem and cutting into profits in continues to rip of its consumers. I am outraged that this has been allowed to continue. Gm need to correct this problem or more people are going to realise there products are crap and start buying foreign car.

In february 2004, i purchased a used 2002 chevrolet. In june 2004 the vehicle's electronic brake control module failed and was replaced by my local chevrolet dealer. At the time of the repair the vehicle had 52, 000 miles. On february 15, 2007 the same part failed again. The vehicle now has 102,000 miles. The electronic brake control module is a non-wear item. I contacted chevrolet to inquire about a recall on this item. No recall exist however there have been technical service bulletins issue concerning this item. I was told by chevrolet and the repair facility that because my vehicle now has more than 100,000 miles i would have to replace the item at my expense.

While driving slowly or fast, at different times, and not every single time, turning to the right around a curve or turning a corner the steering holds the turn and then all of a sudden lets go of that hold.i can correct it by slightly turning the steering wheel left and then back into the turn.sometimes it holds the second time and sometimes it lets go again.this is repeated until the end of the curve or turn.steering gear, pitman arm, steering pump all replaced and problem still is present.*la

It is becoming apparent that the clutch master cylinder on the 2.2l and 2.4l saturn ion is defective.there have been many complaints about this on multiple forums across the internet.i personally have had mine replaced once and it needs replaced again.my fear is that i will be driving and that it will go out completely and not allow me to shift, possibly causing an accident.

Fuel gauge sensor 2005 envoy xl denali. 70153 miles. After fueling the vehicle fuel gauge registers empty until about an eighth of a tank has been used then the fuel gauge works just fine. Have to disconnect the positive battery terminal for appx. Ten minutes to get the service engine light to stop illuminating. Occurs everytime i fill the vehicle. It causes an inaccurate fuel reading. Turning in to dealer tomorrow 06-19-2013 for repairs. Code produced p0463.

Recurring problem with steeringcolumn replaced twice and steering pump replaced once. Still the problem is not resolved.

The contact owns a gm aftermarket air deflector (part number: 1927884) being used on a 2012 gmc acadia. The contact was driving 70 mph when the center plastic tie fractured and caused the deflector to crash into the windshield of the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The deflector was not replaced. The serial number and vin was not available. The failure mileage was unavailable.

After the vehicle has been driven for awhile it develops a very sever shaking. It is to the point it knocks stuff off the dash and out of the cup holders. I have had the tires changed, rotated, balanced. This does nothing to help.

1. The power lift gate on my vehicle failed on 7/23/15.when it opened, it went all of the way up automatically and then came crashing back down and nearly hit me in the head. 2. The failure from that point on happens each and every time so i had to turn the feature off.3. I contacted both gm directly and spoke to a local dealership twice (hare chevrolet in noblesville, in) and both told me that there is a recall on this item but no solution and subsequently no parts have been manufactured to correct problem.i was told that i could fix it out of my own pocket (with the same suspected faulty parts) but there was no guarantee i would be reimbursed as a result i have not been able to use my power lift gate in four months now.i received a recall notice in august with no updates in three months.i spoke to the dealership on 10/31/15 and was told there was no update on this recall.

I have had 8 transmissions in a 9 month period from a specific transmission franchise. My transmission as of present has broken down on my automobile. I have contacted the head lee myles transmission branch and is still unable to resolve this matter. Under n.y.s.'s law, if your automobile is fixed for the same problem 4 times or more your automobile qualifies as a "lemon". As i have stated my automobile has had 8 transmissions in it in a 9 month period. I have also brought to the attention of the head lee myles branch that everytime that i took my automobile back to this same transmission place it has come back with additional problems, and of course they said they could fix the problem for additional money's. On my original warranty sheet it has what's wrong with my transmission and what they need to do to replace it. It has nothing on it about all the problems they claim as of today. Every problem that occurs on my automobile now comes from a result of them having my automobile and not knowing what they were doing from the start and taking and switching parts around to gain more money's over the situation. I have tried everything i can possibly with this franchise and the head office and it has gotten me nowhere. I need help in this matter because i am at a lost and they have taken a perfectly good running automobile and have destroyed it to gain additional money's from me. What i did do was i took my automobile to thegmc dealer and got an entire diagnostics on what is wrong with my automobile as of today due to lee myles.

I recently had my 2004 saturn awd vue serviced at saturn of livingston, nj, and had two recalls performed. One was for the voluntary recall of a rear suspension link which was changed due to a nhtsa test failure.the other was the recall of the rear drive module (rdm), which was causing a moaning noise in all awd versions of this vehicle.after the rdm was changed i immediately noticed a change in the vehicles awd function characteristics. When on a slight incline in wet conditions a full throttle acceleration from a stop resulted in severe front wheel spin without engagement of the awd system. In fact i could hear a discernable clicking noise emminating from the rdm which sounded as though the awd faunctionality was in effect being neutralized.i have performed this maneuver several times with my vehicle in the past year (with the original rdm), and the awd system has been successful in eliminating front wheel spin and providing ample traction going up the incline.i believe the new version of the rdm being rolled out to the masses has only served to convert all the awd versions of this vehicle to fwd, and i believe saturn must be persuaded to re-engineer their rdm to restore the awd functionality.

Steering shaft sprine worn out at 19000 miles, part is back ordered. Dealer said thousands are needed across the nation.

A 1965 chevrolet step van canteen truck is operating in my community. The truck drives to the beach and serves fried and grilled foods. A make shift mounted 60 lb liquid propane tank is attached to the rear of the truck. The tank is subject to rear end accident damage with nearly no protection. The tank is piped through the rear of the truck to the cooking equipment inside. Thefire codes cover flammable and combustible liquids, but do not address class 1 flammables or liquid propane.

Occasionally while driving (no particuliar speed) all the warning lights will illuminate on the speedometer/rpm cluster and then both the speedometer and rpm gage will register (0) zero.after a short time, 2 to 5 minutes everything will return to normal.

The contact owns a 2001 chevrolet venture.the air conditioning system failed while in use.the dealer stated that the air compressor was replaced.however, the failure recurred.the dealer stated that the gasket seals needed to be replaced.the fuel gauge no longer indicated how much fuelwas in the vehicle.the dealer stated that the sensor in the fuel tank had to be replaced.also, there was a shortage in the driver's side turn signal, causingthe signal to fail. The dealer repaired the signal.yet itfailed repeatedly.the current and failure mileage were 85000.

Dt*: the contact stated that while driving the air conditioner stopped working and lost the entire freon air conditioning condenser.the vehicle was taken to a service dealer, where the dealer informed the contact that the problem was a factory defect.the dealer determined that the condenser should have four bolts instead of the three that were on the vehicle.the bolt pattern also caused the weld to crack on the condenser. As a result, the freon escaped, and the air conditioning lost power. A complaint was also filed with the manufacturer.

On may 28, 2004 i took my 2001 aztek to dealer to see why my air conditionerdid not blow cold air they found leak in right lower corner of condenser, $845 plus tax i declined the repairs but still cost me $75.00 just to check.i asked at a regular car repair place and they tried to get a new condenser but was told this was a defect and would not be able to fix.this was at 75,174 miles.i bought the car new.very few problems other than this.i am now at 97,000 and still no air.why fix if it will do it again.

2004 gmc envoy xuv faulty speedometer, the speedometer reads false reading, traveling on highway doing what i thought was 55 and i was pulled over for doing 72 miles in a 55 zone.

Exterior lights and interior lights dim out randomly while driving.the service department at gm says it is normal and nothing they can do.chevrolet has issued a bulletin regarding this.how safe can it be to drive at night with headlights dimming out?

The gas gauge is reading empty although just filled with gas.it started fluctuating but now it just remains on empty despite gas tank being full.this is the second time, i have had the same problem.the first time it was changed free of change because car was still under warranty.there is something obviously defective with the gas gauge of this car and it is certainly a safety hazard of not knowing when you need to refill, vehicle stalled in the middle of the road with my three little children in it and costly repairs.gmc must be held accountable for this defect and a recall should be done immediately.

I own a 2002 gmc envoy and brake lights just quit i checked bulbs, fuses and changed brake switch they still do not work.

The seat recliner handle and connecting bar for both front seats of my 2000 s-10 blazer broke off with a month of each other.

The gas gauge on my 2006 chevy trailblazer no longer works it started fluctuating at about 109,000 miles now i'm at about 150,000 and it hasn't worked for months now. My wife has run out of gas twice now on the interstate at 4:00 in the morning going to work with semi trucks barreling down on her not knowing why she couldn't accelerate.

My complaint is with headlights on newer cars and trucks. Why do we need them so bright. Why do we need high beams.they just blind all drivers.

1)component: latches/locks/linkages:hood:latch,)seats:front assembly adjustment level. 3)component: equipment:electrical:heater ,4)structure:body:door:hinge and attachments,(hand was smashed by door trying to get it to close right.these problem have been going on sinceapril of 2004.

I own a 2001 gmc yukon and this is the second time the abs module has failed on it.after it fails, the motor continues to run.not only do you not have abs, but the motor heats up.if you don't notice it right away, it will drain your battery, leave you stranded, or worse.

I cannot see the recently-popular clear turn-signal lens' with colored bulbs nearly as well as colored lens.this has often caused me near misses as both a driver and a pedestrian.many fancy after-market lens' are the worst, especially when sunlight hits them directly.i believe more study should be done on the safety of these.

Manufacturer : general motors corp.component(s) : irequests that nhtsa open an investigation into the two safety issues i have listed below.first issue:performance/reliability of the fuel level sensor installed in model year 2005 chevrolet trailblazer vehicles. My 2005 trailblazer fuel tank level sensor is defective and could result in a subject vehicle running out of fuel, stall, and being rear ended by another vehicle. Alsomay 2, 2011this is a very serious safety issue.please check into it right away.i was driving my 2005 chevy trailblazer home tonight and the headlights went out while going down the road. I turned the switch off and back on. Still no lights, turned them off and on and low beam to high beam then they came back on and i was able to drive on home.i could have been killed.my 1995 lincoln town car had the same problem and it was some kind of recall had to do with the auto timer.is there some kind of recall to fix the chevy trailblazer amongst the thousands of complaints that are already against the 2005 chevy trail blazer?

Speedometer on my 2005 chevrolet silverado sticks and intermittent, sometimes its shows me driving 120 mph when going 20 to 30 miles per hour.have left it cool down, then start the engine numerous times for it to reset in 5 mph increments until it returns to 0 mph.sluggish going to 0 mph when stopping at a stop sign etc.definite safety issue since i don't know how fast i am going other than going with the flow, it is consistently doing these symptoms all the time now.

I own a 2007 tahoemy tahoeaccelerates with out pressing the gas pedal but you pressed it the rpm stay high even when you depress the accelerator if you put on drive the rpm stay high.i when to a used part store and exchange the accelerator and work fine since then when the electronic accelerator" breaks"s down i notice that stays at high rpms.

Occasionally while driving (no particuliar speed) all the warning lights will illuminate on the speedometer/rpm cluster and then both the speedometer and rpm gage will register (0) zero.after a short time, 2 to 5 minutes everything will return to normal.

My 2000 yukon's fuel pump failed while driving our family on hwy 94 east.the vehicle was towed to the service station who happened to have approx. 20 failed fuel pump modules and assured me that they will install the upgraded pump that does not "burn" when the vehicle operated with low fuel level!!!i googled the failure and came to your recall 05v155000 and the gm 05027 but gmc does not honor it for my vin number???what is surprising is that when we bought the new pump from the dealer they had the "upgraded" acdelco one on the self but other than that i should have no problem according to our vin number!!!so i thought that if every gmc owner reports here maybe they will get their act together there in gm and install something of a better quality fuel delivery system in their $40k vehicles!!!a very upset but loyal gm owner.

Failure of 4 wheel drive option. The switch was replaced under warranty on the first occasion. Every winter since the purchase of my blazer the switch for the 4 wheel drive has had to be replaced.

The steering gear box appears to be loose, vehicles under warranty are getting repaired but those out of warranty are not. When i had the tailgate hinges replaced, the dealer explained what was wrong with my truck but could not repair it.it'sa nerve racking vibration which should be taken care of and feels like the left front wheel assemblt is about to fall off.

The brakes on the 2003 expedition isn't designed to hold the heavy weight of the expedition. This cause the brakes to need to be replaced numerous times. Ford needs to recall the brakes and put bigger brake pads in them. I have had to even replace them metal to metal in the front 7 times in 3 years and under 45,000 miles. I even had to replace the master cylinder due to leakage at 45,000 miles. Also due to electronic problems i have had i was unable to lock the suv and had the alarm sound because of it and windows don't go up and down correctly.

I own a 2002 chevy trailblazer lt. At 56,000 miles i had to have the transmission rebuilt. Then on march 12 2007 i took my car into the dealership to get the four wheel drive switch fixed because it was stuck in auto 4x4after spending very close toa $1,000. We are now having the same problem again. Front wheels stuck in awd while the rear wheels are stuck in 2wd.

Speedometer has completely failed and gm/chevy knows of the problem and will not do anything to fix on a trailblazer.this is a hazard.

(1) fuel sensor went bad on my '04 chevy trailblazer ext ls 4wd 4.2 liter v6 engine which has (26,000 miles on it - excellent condition), thereby (2) causing the catalytic converter to become congested causing loss of power for use and towing on the vehicle. (3) told by the dealer where vehicle purchased that this item is not available for consumer use by gm parts and service. Told i would have to wait up to 3 months for item to be available for public release. This is not acceptable on a leased vehicle. Paying to not be able to use vehicle to full potential. Major loss.i am very dissatisfied with gm service. However, i was offered a rental vehicle to drive for this time period that is not equivalent to my own vehicle. This was finally offered after arguing with gm representative.

Brakes are soft with long stopping distance.involved in minor mvc. Afterwards found rear brake rotors and brake assembly rusted and components corroded. Rear brake contact <50%. Less than 25k miles.

Front braking problem with 2004 gmc envoy xl. Problem has occurred after each time a repair attempt has been made by gmc problem is front squealing of brake systems.

My vehicle was taken in the crain on several occasions for the transmission, leading up to this incident. I took the vehicle in to crain on september 26, andwas told that the transmission was completely gone. Of course, they quoted me a price of $2,000.00 which i feel that i shouldn't be out of pocket for anything because i repeatedly took the vehicle in because the transmission wasn't shifting proper. Of course, they sent me on my way and stated that there wasn't a mechanical problem with the transmission. The service advisor pulled all of my service tickets that showed that the vehicle was brought in for the transmission....they then agreed to split the amount with me; however, i feel as though i shouldn't have to split the cost because i made several trips to crain's service department prior to this last visit to the service department.

Multiple problems with this vehicle with only 40,000 miles on it! power window assembly broke and repaired twice onthe same door, inoperable climate control unit, front dashboard gets extremely hot at all times, brakes squeal all the time (dealer could not figure it out and was remedied with ceramic brake pads after multiple attempts), transmission has poor shifting pattern (bulletin provided a new shift program for the transmission and the dealer installed but is right back to it's original problem after 3 months).

Thumping in steeringsince purchaseof the vehicle steering has been making noise and shakes and has been getting progressivley worse. The steering shaft has been replaced when new for the same problem. This is a common problem with these trucks. We are very concerned if it is safe to drive.ak

Lossof brakes.

Hydraulic brake system.vehicle was sitting in driveway without use for a few weeks.when used brakes were very spongy, long pedal travel before reaction then extended stopping distance.fluid level ok, clear appeared normal, no apparent leaks, normal temperature.drove to dealer carefully, service manager when moving vehicle said he almost ran through the back otf the building.vehicle not in any accidents, service maintenance conducted at normal intervals according to service recommendations.approximately 27000 miles on vehicle.driven by myself 50 years old and my wife 47 years old safe drivers speed limit speeds large amount of stopping distance for braking not jamming on brakes at last minute. I scheduled vehicle for service at win kelly chevrolet where purchased for brake check and 30,000 mile checkup.while there they advised it was interior failure of master cylinder and they replaced it under warranty.the brakes feel a little better but the pedal still moves approximately 4" before applying any pressure.i feel this is still a problemand will be taking it back to the dealer again.i believe they have a problem with the system like they had on previous s10 models in late 90's with the slow speed braking recall.just want to send a complaint for you to be aware of in case you receive more complaints.i emailed a letter to gm while it was in the shop with the same comments and the reference to the previous for the smaller versions in the late 90's and have yet to receive a response.if this is the same problem then they may have a valve design, operation or part assemble/installdefect with the system.

I had the vehicle in a few times with trouble in the steering and a loud noise that was constant.i had the vehicle in and the mechanic at the dealership determined my hub and bearing assembly needed to be replaced.the mechanic told me it would be safe to drive, only it would be annoying because of the noise.they had to schedule an appointment because they did not have the parts. They scheduled the appointment for friday, september 23, 2005.on september 21, while on my way to work and to take my children to school, i was going approximately 20-25 mph on a slight curve.my steering wheel failed.it would not turn to the right.it kept me going in the direction of the curve and i could not stop.i hit 2 trees and totaled my vehicle.i am in physical therapy for my knee and ankles.my daughter hurt her lower back, bruised her face and had severe bruising on her stomach from the seat belt.my son had not as severe bruising on his stomach, cut his lip, head and elbow.this luckily happened on a dirt road and not the hiway.i did research on my vehicle and determined the vehicle was 1st purchaced in michigan, then purchased in missouri and by me in arkansas.

Event leading to failure: i was stupid enough to buy the lemon in the first place.the failure (s) occur on a regular basis. I bought this 2001 gmc jimmy in 2004.as a certified used car. It had 38,075 miles on it. I didn't have it a month before theleft front wheel bearing went out. Shortly after the pollution control air pump went out. Then it was the air filter pump and hoses to the remote filter. Next came replacement of all four brake rotors. All of this before 40,000 miles. Next came the fuel pump(april 2006).a couple of months later it was the fuel pressure regulator and fuel sensor. Then it was replacing the 2wd/ 4wd selector module in the dash. Next in line was a new alternator. Less than a year later it was another new alternator,a couple of days ago it was another new fuel pump. There are at least a dozen other things that were replaced. I only mentioned the really costly items. I have spent just a little over $5000.00 on this piece of junk. Contacting gmc customer complaints is a big waste of time. I'll never buy another gmc anything. The federal government should pull the plug and let gmc close down forever.

Premature wear on all four brake rotors for this truck. Rotors could not be turned on first brake pad change because they were rusting from the inside out. The metal used to manufacture these rotors had to be of inferior quality. Brake pads were still fairly good !

Exhaust manifold failure. Mechanic says in 25 years he has never seen as many failures as in these models,as it is usually very rare for them to fail. In researching on line i have found it is a common problem in '03 through '08 model gmc envoys and chevy trailblazers.

What is happening to claim 10134972?

Vehicle had an engine miss fire that required replacement of the head.miss. Returned shortly after repairs.dealer said there was no miss.vehicle filled up with water during a rainstorm.all interior had to be removed and dried out.electrical problems occurred that required four batteries over 12 months.dealer stated it was my problem, because i had a small inverter for computer.sold the vehicle to the hummer dealer at a loss of $15,000.hummer refused any assistance after first stating they would.

I owned a 2007 acadia and had 4 sunroof leaks and gm bought it back because it was a lemon. The last time it leaked the sunroof glass was replaced along with the seal, that seamed to fix the problem. I currently own a 2008 acadia and there has been no problems with water leaks.

Brake and abs unsafe and in for chronic repairs. Have owned vehicle for less then a year when problem started. Rotors cracked due to excessive heat. Had heavy duty rotors put on. In the rain, abs locked...near miss of an accident.within weeks had back in for repairs due to excessive wear...was informed of gmc bulletin regarding brakes. Took to dealer to check brakes and abs.had proportioning valveput in and rear brakes replaced. Then had to replace front rotors again due to wear..all within 2-3 months. Then abs light came on, and abs staring locking intermittently on its own. There is a leak at the master cylinder. The proportioning valve was just installed 12 days ago! we left it at the service center at the dealer (its a sunday)! too scared to drive with my preschooler in the car! the vehicle only has 42k!

During the last few months i have noticed a problem with my 2009 gmc acadia. The problem occurs with the power steering failing when i am trying to steer or turn. It is as if the power steering stops working completely and i am forced to use manual steering which can be extremely difficult and is a serious safety issue.

The jack on the 2002 gmc envoy 4x4 is not adequate for the vehicle.it has to be placed in a very limited number of locations under the vehicle, and will not work at all unless the pavement is absolutely flat (no cracks in the cement!).my vehicle was sold new with skid plates for off-roading, but the jack is totally unusable on a dirt surface and it sometimes even on pavement won't jack the vehicle high enough to get the tire off the ground.

I was just getting ready to leave the car wash. I pressed the brake padal to put the truck in gear, a second later the padal went to the floor, thought it was air in the line. Tried a few more times then got out of the truck to look for the leak, found (steel line) drivers side rusted. Had truck towed to shop, as i could not drive it. They found heavy rust on all brake lines in the front, the control arms also have heavy rust. Thank god i was not in traffic as i am sure i would have crashed. The shop is replacing all front brake lines and are going to inspect all other lines ie: all brake lines to back, all fuel lines. Parking brake failed as well. How did this truck pass nys inspection? truck was purchased 3/30/2006 from dealer facility #7096646 a&a used car sales inc. 969 sunrise hwy, brightwaters,ny 11706 nys inspected by station 7099758

Premature wear on all four brake rotors for this truck. Rotors could not be turned on first brake pad change because they were rusting from the inside out. The metal used to manufacture these rotors had to be of inferior quality. Brake pads were still fairly good !

Defective rebuilt transmission.i purchased a factory rebuilt 4l80e hd gmc transmission from sharp's transmission and auto, inc of tucson, az, for gmc suburban tow vehicle . It has a defect that a gm mechanic says is highly probable to cause a transmission failure.there is a good probability that i would be traveling at highway speed on an interstate when it fails.a failure under these conditions is likely to cause multiple deaths and disabilities.i havebeen trying to have the defective transmission repaired or replaced by the independent repair shop, to avoid a catastrophic accident.however, after almost 90 days, neither gmc or transmission repair shop owner will discuss the subject with me.i don't know how to proceed.ak

Parking brake and fuel gage.i recently moved overseas with af and had to have my vehicle inspected for european standards.my parking break did not work at all.i found this hard to believe since i have never used it.i was mandated by european law to get fixed in order to drive it and pay a $30 for each month until i got it fixed. My fuel gage doesn't maintain how much fuel i have in my gas tank. When i have a full or empty tank the gauge just randomly boucess around with the unknown correct amount. I am currently setting the mileage until i can find someone to fix it and the parts i need.

Power and power steering failure- when it rains or i drive through puddles of water the car looses power and slows. Also when i am driving the power steering stops working and there is a loud squealing noise. I had the dealer look at my acadia and they said they could readjust the belt guard. This did not work and they said just be cautious while driving. Also the cruise control doesn't coast and the speed increases as you go down hill.

Feb.05 we were in big bear ca. With 4 or more feet of fresh snow: coming down the hill in our 2002 suburban the brakes became very soft and pedal went to the floor with no brakes.we checked the ground under suburban and all the brake fluid was on the snow.we had subruban towed to the nearest dealer in redlands because there is a "bumper to bumper" policy on it.tom bell had to replace the "brake line".we took a cab to the ontario airport for a rental car and drove back home.

None.no summary.

I couldn't get gas into it the vehicle. I took it to my repairman. Which cost 169.38 to replace the gas filler neck. I called gm and was told if i had taken it to their authorized dealer they may have considered reimbursing me. They said if a recall comes up i can file to get my money back. Meanwhile this truck is a 2003with only 37000 on it. Only 3 years old. I saw on your site that other people have had the same problem i had and filed a complaint. So if they hadn't paid for it to get fixed i would off had a bigger bill from a dealership.

I own a 2000 jimmy and have gone through 2 sets of upper and lower ball joints and at this time the left lower ball joints went again.what is the problem with the ball joints?this iscostly to repair, as wel as dangerous, affecting the steering.i would like to know what improvments are being done to correct the problem, and if it is a common occurance among other gmc suv's. There should not be disposible parts put on the front end of any vehicle.

3/4/052003 chevy trail blazer would not take fuel.the fuel would splash out of thefuel neck .the dealership replaced the gas tank and the sender.again, on 12/30/2005 the same problem occurred.the vechicle would not take fuel.while filling up the fuel on dispensed onto the ground.

When i put gas in my 2003 gmcthe gas spills out.i have been told to correct this problem, i will have to replace the entire fuel tank. At my cost. This has been happening every since i got my truck a year ago.they do not consider it a recall matter. Even though it is a flaw in their design.

1 fuel level sensor not working2. 70% of the time3.by gm nothing 2005 trailblazer.

Oil gauge and gas gauge faulting...no air through front dash vents..air vents out since may 2011...someone said it happens when you change your battery..oil gauge faulted after a routine oil change 6months ago...gas gauge began 1month ago.

Fuel gauge does not work, always shows empty or very little gas after being filled up, never goes over 1/4 tank.

Fuel gauge malfunction. I filled the tank of my vehicle, 2005 gmc envoy xl, i ran out of gas going up an inclined level of a parking garage two stories underground during rush hour in d.c. I could have easily let my suv run into the vehicle behind me but, i was fortunate to react quickly and avoid harm's way. The problem with gauge is it will read full when empty at times and; shortly thereafter, you have total failure of the gauge - it will no longer properly read or register how much gas one has in their fuel tank.i thought that this might be a limited problem to a few suvs manufactured by gmc but, after doing research of several car forums internet sites i discovered that there are thousands of people who have purchased a gm with the exact same problem - including some vehicles older than the year 2000. What recourse do we as consumers have , if any? the possibility oif damage or a vehicle crash was avoided, as i reacted quickly to avoid near-disaster with another vehicle , or even, worse, hitting a natural gas pipe in the parking garage.

One day when i filled my gas tank up the gas gauge still showedmy tank was empty. It since then has not worked correctly goes from empty to half full and so forth, now it stays on empty, i ran out at a red, another day i ran out gas at a badintersection, definitely can't trust it or you will be walking home with my five year old daughter on a highway one . I feel that the manufacturer should correct this problem now!. I have read many complaints stating this exact same problem please help.

I have a 2006 envoy denali with 53000 miles, about 4 weeks ago, i was filing up with gas, i always fill up at 1/2 tank since i purchased it in 06. After filling the gas gage went to empty, and then would go to full, then back to empty. It did this for about 5 min and then went to empty. Now the gage do not read correctly at all, i use the trip to keep track of my mileage as the remaining miles fuel gage does not register either.....

Exterior lights and interior lights dim out randomly while driving.the service department at gm says it is normal and nothing they can do.chevrolet has issued a bulletin regarding this.how safe can it be to drive at night with headlights dimming out?

Transmission went out couldn't drive-repaired/ rear window won't roll-up/seatbelt won't retract, later fixed, but still won't work on occasion/ brake lights have gone out 5+ times repaired still not operational/ water pump exploded/rear window won't lock first try/ check engine llight stays on.

I own a 2002 gmc envoy and brake lights just quit i checked bulbs, fuses and changed brake switch they still do not work.

My complaint is with headlights on newer cars and trucks. Why do we need them so bright. Why do we need high beams.they just blind all drivers.

Headlights mounted on 2005-6 trucks and suv's are mounted much too high on the vehicles. They blind oncoming autos and even cause severe eye discomfort through the rear view mirror when said vehicle is stopped behind you in traffic. Everyone i know sayes the same thing. How many accidents will happen before those in charge wake up and change this???????????????????????????

Got in my vehicle one morning and low beam head lights( daytime runnings) did not come on but the high beams would nor would they come one manually. I drove for awhile then they came on. I would drive down the road and they will flicker.they do scome one every once in awhile. Nothing has been done as of yet.

The dealer repaired the signal.yet itfailed repeatedly.the current and failure mileage were 85000.

Fuel sensor stopped working causing my fuel gauge to always show e and the check engine light to always be on, in addition there are annoying chimes on a frequent basis. This issue began about 50,000 miles ago, i currently have 120,000 miles on the car. I have dealt with it for 3 years. As a result i have no idea how much fuel is in my car, i fill up quite often to avoid running out which has happened to me a couple of times.i paid to have the issue diagnosed and the repair was simply too costly for me to repair it. I received a letter from gm last month admitting the part is faulty but they will only cover 50% of the repair. This is a safety concern given i could run out of gas in deserted locations without a gas stations or in extreme weather conditions.

Fuel gauge does not work, always shows empty or very little gas after being filled up, never goes over 1/4 tank.

The gas gauge on my 2006 chevy trailblazer no longer works it started fluctuating at about 109,000 miles now i'm at about 150,000 and it hasn't worked for months now. My wife has run out of gas twice now on the interstate at 4:00 in the morning going to work with semi trucks barreling down on her not knowing why she couldn't accelerate.

2005 gmc envoyout of the blue my speedometer works intermittently and my gas gauge reads empty with light on even though i have a full tank of gas!additionally the factory speakers work intermittently.this vehicle has electrical issues!

2000 s-10 extreme suddenly cuts off and will not start again even though tank is full.2 mechanics say it is fuel sending unit inside gas tank.great expense to replace.researching on web find many, many other s-10 owners with exactly the same problem.

First the engine started making noise and the engine light came on, the dealer replaced a belt for 200.00. 2000gmc jimmy has had 4 fuel pumps in last year and a half just stopping while driving in traffic and 2 transmissions same as fuel pumps stopping while in heavy traffic. Wiring harness very brittle.

I couldn't get gas into it the vehicle. I took it to my repairman. Which cost 169.38 to replace the gas filler neck. I called gm and was told if i had taken it to their authorized dealer they may have considered reimbursing me. They said if a recall comes up i can file to get my money back. Meanwhile this truck is a 2003with only 37000 on it. Only 3 years old. I saw on your site that other people have had the same problem i had and filed a complaint. So if they hadn't paid for it to get fixed i would off had a bigger bill from a dealership.

*nlm

8jb

Failure of 4 wheel drive option. The switch was replaced under warranty on the first occasion. Every winter since the purchase of my blazer the switch for the 4 wheel drive has had to be replaced.

The seat recliner handle and connecting bar for both front seats of my 2000 s-10 blazer broke off with a month of each other.

Brakes are soft with long stopping distance.involved in minor mvc. Afterwards found rear brake rotors and brake assembly rusted and components corroded. Rear brake contact <50%. Less than 25k miles.

I own a 2001 gmc yukon and this is the second time the abs module has failed on it.after it fails, the motor continues to run.not only do you not have abs, but the motor heats up.if you don't notice it right away, it will drain your battery, leave you stranded, or worse.

Lossof brakes.

*nlm

Front braking problem with 2004 gmc envoy xl. Problem has occurred after each time a repair attempt has been made by gmc problem is front squealing of brake systems.

Premature wear on all four brake rotors for this truck. Rotors could not be turned on first brake pad change because they were rusting from the inside out. The metal used to manufacture these rotors had to be of inferior quality. Brake pads were still fairly good !

Recurring problem with steeringcolumn replaced twice and steering pump replaced once. Still the problem is not resolved.

During the last few months i have noticed a problem with my 2009 gmc acadia. The problem occurs with the power steering failing when i am trying to steer or turn. It is as if the power steering stops working completely and i am forced to use manual steering which can be extremely difficult and is a serious safety issue.

Thumping in steeringsince purchaseof the vehicle steering has been making noise and shakes and has been getting progressivley worse. The steering shaft has been replaced when new for the same problem. This is a common problem with these trucks. We are very concerned if it is safe to drive.ak

The deflector was not replaced. The serial number and vin was not available. The failure mileage was unavailable.

After the vehicle has been driven for awhile it develops a very sever shaking. It is to the point it knocks stuff off the dash and out of the cup holders. I have had the tires changed, rotated, balanced. This does nothing to help.

None.no summary.

The speedometer only works about 2% of the time. Typically it is stuck at 110 mph. I have heard numerous people complain about the same problem with their tahoe's.

I owned a 2007 acadia and had 4 sunroof leaks and gm bought it back because it was a lemon. The last time it leaked the sunroof glass was replaced along with the seal, that seamed to fix the problem. I currently own a 2008 acadia and there has been no problems with water leaks.

*nlm

Windshield wiper fluid reservoir has been replaced twice, and at the time of this complaint, it has been discovered that the plastic tank has cracked, and is leaking for the third time.

I have had the wheel bearing replaced twice in eight months on the front driver's side tire.i just had the wheel bearing replaced on the front passenger side tire.what is going on with this?
