Service 4x4 light illuminating intermittently due to failure of selector button for the push button four wheel drive. Also due to failure of the switch vehicle will not go into four wheel drive and the light will illuminate. Gmc and chevrolet dealers are aware and know of several failures, and relay gm is doing nothing about it.
Upper & lower ball joints have to be replaced. The metal that held the recliner lever on both seats broke.
The abs control module failed on my vehicle and had to be replaced. The repair was quite expensive, close to $1,000. In searching the internet i find that this problem is quite prevalent with this vehicle and i am wondering why the manufacturer has not issued a recall. The expensiveness of the repair will surely cause a lot of people to simply disengage the abs system which creates a safety issue i believe.
Consumerstated that the abs light came on and the abs motor continued to run. The vehicle was taken to the dealership who determined that the ebcm was defective and needed to be replaced. *sb
