Dt: the consumer stated that the 2001 cadillac deville had a low impact crash.the speed was around 25-30 mph.the impact was in the front center of the car.the passenger suffered bruises to the knees, broke a rib,and blinded the passenger from the impact of the air bag. The passenger had an iol implant in her ocular lens. The airbag forced the retina to detach.the consumer stated that there were serious design flaws in the engineering of the air bag.the car has been repaired. The owner has not contacted general motors.a police report was taken. .
(2001) coupeperiodically noticed security light coming on while driving.pulled over shut the car off it went off.recently replaced my fuel pump because the car wouldn't start.2 weeks later having the same problem.the car periodically will not start and then 1 or 2 weeks later it will and run good till the next time no one can figure out the problem.also had to replace intake manifold and power window regulator.what is up with oldsmobile?????never again!!!
Electrical malfunction indicating words..'no bus' on panel..hazard if driven, can not read odometer, fuel gauge, oil gauge etc.
Rain flooded my 2001 grand am se too. Brought to dealer and was told some plugs were loose cause of some extra rustproofing i haddone. This occured on the back drivers floor. This kept happening and was told by the dealer it was my problem now because it was no longer under warranty.. Also have had problems with the brakes and am now replacing the driversside bearings. Abs brakes pulsate and make an awful sound. I have been told that is normal. Thanks to all you complainers i now know that i am not crazy.wish i had been aware of this flooding problem sooner. Actually all of them! and thanks to you all for submitting them

Trunk leaks from poor sealing job. Check engine light coming on only after 44,000. Erg code comes up at auto zone. Cleaned out throttle body, put in throttle/carb treatment. Had light reset to go off and is back on. *nlm
We have a recall notice from gm and had the auto repaired just days before and gm refuses to pay us back for the repairs

I own a 2001 silverado with 45k miles. Looks brand new on the outside and inside. The wife took the garbage down to the dumpster and complained she had to pump the brakes to stop because they when down to the floor. I pulled right front wheel off and saw the pads where in great shape. I noticed fluid under the drive side of the truck. Put my fingers in the fluid and determined it to be brake fluid. I look up next to the frame and saw all brake lines were rusted badly. This should not happened. I have had cars much older with many more milesin the chicago area with lots of salt and this has never happened! i live in missouri where winters are mild and salt use is a fraction of the chicago area. Gm has a problem here that needs to be fixed. I have been searching the net and many people with different gm models are having this same problem (rusted brake lines). Someone can get killed or seriously injured because of this!
Dt:the contact stated the brake lights and the abs light kept coming on. He owns a 2001 gm yukon xl. The dealership told the contactit will cost him $3,000.00 to fix it. The consumer believed this was a defect in the car. The dealership toldhim there was no recall. He noticed this about three months ago.
Abs went off at slow speeds and the brake would pulsate. Removed rust build up under abs sensor mounting surface. After it was fixed gm had a recall that excluded missouri and i just don't think it was fair. It seems there is a problem with all there 2001 chevy pickups not just by states.
