On 10/24/2018 while driving my 2008 gmc envoy slt, i was involved in a head-on collision which resulted in my car being totaled. None of my air bags deployed.

My service stabilitrak and air bag lights has been on since i purchased the vehicle.i have taken it to a mechanic and they stated that they did not see a problem.i was wondering if this is an on-going issue and if there are any recalls for this.

The service air bag light is always on. When it was purchased the light was off. It was taken in for service back to the dealer before the 30 day warranty was up due to radio issues (buzz) they worked under the back seat on a device and under the dash below the steering column to resolve. The sound returned and they replaced a part under the back seat. A few months later these new issues started.the service air bag light is always onrecently the service stability control light has started. This is intermittent. Please advise. Fyi: there is a few bulletin boards where a lot of other people are experiencing the same issues.

I was involved in a head on collision in which my vehicle struck two vehicles. The first vehicle made an illegal left hand turn in front of my vehicle at a lighted intersection.i was traveling at an approximate speed of 50mph on a highway intersection (posted speed limit 55mph). The front driver's side of my vehicle struck the front driver's side of the first vehicle (black sedan pictured).my vehicle continued to strike a second vehicle (pickup in picture) that was stopped at the red light of the cross street. My side airbags deployed while the front airbag did not deploy. Should the front airbag have deployed? there were no serious injuries, which i am grateful for, but i want to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else.crash report number 87-0070-87 in wood county ohio.

I was in an auto accident on a major highway and upon crashing my airbag didn't deploy and my face smashed into the steering wheel.

I will be going down the road and my car would just shut off on me.i would have to keep trying to start it and after a few times trying itwould start.i have to keep turning the key over and over a few times to get the ignition to start.it has stalled on me 5 times.some times it will crank right up and other times i have to keep turning the key over and over for it to crank.when i turn the key it doesn't do anything no sound at all.but if i keep trying it would start up.i had the starter and battery checked but those were fine.

I purchased a 2008 envoy denali 7/08 during the middle of november while drive the temp gage drop to the lowest point and started cutting off hesitating to start. I then contact on-star they stated it was the cooling system and should be taken to the dealer on 10/19/09 i went and was told it was the temp senor which was replace that tuesday. Thursday the same issue accord again i notified on-star they stated this time it was the transmission friday i went to the deal to be told they could not work on the car until monday. As i ws speaking to a tech they stated it sounds like the trans and the mgr approached and stated i am handling this and directed me toward the desk and stated he had a rental for me and arranged a ride for me. I truly believe there is something wrong with this car and to make this worse my navigation system has failed me twice as well.

Driving on highway in rush hour traffic @ approximately 55mph. Suddenly noted loss of power without warning, with no check engine lights on ( until managed to get car to side of highway and put in park, then multiple icons lighting up). Had towed to dealership, they almostimmediately told me a faulty ignition switch was the most probable cause. Of note, car went on to have ignition switch needing replaced @ 74,218 miles. This time i was again driving on the interstate at approximately 65mph, but this time suddenly felt car losing power, and no check engine lightonce again. I managed to get to berm, put in park, with multiple icons then lighting up, as if "shorting out". Shut ignition off, took multiple attempts to restart, had towed. -at 105,162 miles, again replacement of same part, after having fully lost power without any warning this time, though this time occurred while going down my driveway. ********of note, i do not have a "heavy" key ring nor was there jarring from rough roads on any of these 3 occasions.

There are times when i don't know if my vehicle will start.i put the key in and sometimes it starts right up and other times, i have to keep turning and turning and wait until it will catch on.there were times where i had wait up to an hour for my car to start.i never know when because i don't have an indicator when the vehicle will decide to start.there have been times when it would work fine for one month with no incident, then it will not switch on.seems like when i take it to the shop, that is when the car decides to act right.and the service stabilitrac light has been on since i purchased the vehicle only to find out that i need a rack and pinion.i really think the ignition switch should be recalled.i contacted the dealer and they informed me that my vehicle was not on the recall list.updated 09/15/15*lj

Speedometer has weird sounds like birds flapping wings. The speedometer has been replaced three times. Gm usa claims that it is a defect that they cannot repair. The envoy is still under warranty. Really isn't acceptable. Makes one wonder if the readings on mileage, and speed are accurate.

Our suv has been in the shop so many times for stability trac control electrical window switch ,two steering columns out side tempreading, new shock, new converters.

Driving along street and all engine lights went out and engine stopped.lost power steering and had to fight to get over to side of street and safety.this has happened 3 times since the first time each time the ignition switch required replacement.

Campaign id 14v-755.my vin does not fall under this campaign or gm recall. I am having this exact same issue with the low beams shutting off at night and has happened twice. Vehicle was in motion.

Air condition blower motor caught fire in dash and burnt the vehicle

On or about dec 17, 2014, we were leaving a school function around 7 pm.the low beam lights went out unsuspecting; we only had access to high beam lights.we stopped several times to check connections but no result.we also turned the vehicle off/on to try and reset but no result.have not had another occurrence. We learned via news that a recall has been issued for this problem on 2006-2009 gmc envoy.colonial auto center gmc dealer (charlottesville) is advising there is no recall...they were called on 01/21/15. Also, a "service stibi control" message always appears.it has been checked by a couple dealers.colonial changes a booster and message continues to come on...

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle stalled. The failure occurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the ignition switch and the fuse box needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,984.

My vehicle just suddenly stopped dead, in the road after leaving my residence and all control was lost. Unable to put transmission in neutral to push vehicle off road. I had it repaired by a trained mechanic and was told it was a faulty ignition. I had the faulty ignition replaced and the vehicle was operational again along with the worry of this happening again.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. The contact stated that there was a random electrical short and the low beams failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who changed the low beams, relay, switch and checked the fuses, but the low beams continued to randomly short without warning. The contact was unable to prevent the random failure. The manufacturer provided no solution. The failure mileage was not available.

We have a 2008 envoy. We bought it brand new in 2008. The ignition switch has quit us 5 times. We usually have some warning. The first 3 times , the check engine light came on but i could eventually start the car and drive it to a mechanic to be checked out. The 4th time we were heading out of town, check engine light came on, my husband pulled over to side of the road and car quit. Would not start, had to tow it to mechanic. This last time, no warning, just quit as i was driving home. I was able to get it started after sitting in the middle of the street for 30 minutes or so, drove it home, quit again and had to tow it to mechanic. I am afraid to take it out on the highway by myself. Afraid this vehicle could cause a wreak, and possible kill or injure us or others.there aren't very many miles on it, so it is not a worn out vehicle.

Cpsc: 2008 gmc envoy. Consumer stated that this is the third ignition switch on the car and all three were disabled. *ln

Engine stalled when making a turn. Lost all powder the dash panel had no light lit up.i had no power steering and no power brakes. Was able to control due to low speed. Turned key off and the it restarted when key turned back on. On march 19, 2014 took it to benntt chevrolet burick for check. They found faulty ignition switch and it for $259.88. The 2008 envoys were not on the recall list and someone should check all 2008 envoysstill on the road.

"takata recall" when i first start the car and begin to accelerate the traction control system activates causing lose of power - very dangerous when pulling out into traffic.i have to disengage the system on the shift handle to prevent this from happening. I am also experiencing the abs problem of activation when coming to a stop in all conditions.it is already a recall for gmc vehicles up to 2004 but obviously not corrected. The traction control system activates every time after first starting the car.the abs system is sporatic.no warning that it is about to happen.these systems fail daily without exception.

Stabilitrack light keep coming on

Our suv has been in the shop so many times for stability trac control electrical window switch ,two steering columns out side tempreading, new shock, new converters.

This is a very unsafe vehicle. I purchased it for my husband and have seldom drove until recently when he was injured driving it. He drove through our garage and demolished it. I how drive it and find the brake and gas pedals the worst problem. No matter what shoes or boots you are wearing you cannot control the vehicle. It has cost us thousands in damage and repairs. I do not have pictures, but will obtain them and forward them.the car was just pulling up to be parked outside by out garage when the problem occured. The weather was fine-august 2017. It was just getting dark. This vehicle should be taken off the road asap until it is repaired or replaced by gmc. My son drives a used gmc and it has none of these problems. The picture i am sending you is of (ben), a technician at bretting manufacturing, inc. In ashland. Ben has also built dirt track race cars and i have built john deere combines.

In january, 2012, after a day of making several stops (church, visit family, movie), we stopped for a late night dinner).the restaurant was closing, so we returned to the vehicle in less than 5 minutes.when we returned to the vehicle, the car would not start.after several unsuccessful attempts, we had to have the truck towed.since it was late night, we had to have the vehicle towed to the home and then to arepair shop.after being in the repair shop for several days and after several diagnostic tests,, we were told theignition switch was replaced.since this 1st incident in 2012, this has occurred at least 10 times.after one incident in 2013, we bought a new battery.after 2 weeks, the new battery was dead and we received a new battery.however, the vehicle not starting occurred at least another 3 times.after replacing the battery twice, we heard there was an ignition switch recall for gmc vehicles.when i contacted gm, they told me the recall was for other makes and models, but not on the envoy.my concern is we don't know when the car will start or not.we have also had the starter checked several times & was told it's not the starter.it appears no one is able to determine why the vehicle does not start and when it will happen.i am concerned for my safety - when it's going to happen, where will i be., if i am close to home or not and will we have to incur another towing charge.

Low beam headlights on my 2008 gmc envoy denali randomly turn off by themselves for extended periods of time and then turn back on the next day only to turn off again. This happens when driving at different speeds. Also stability track signal comes on for no particular reason.

My service stabilitrak and air bag lights has been on since i purchased the vehicle.i have taken it to a mechanic and they stated that they did not see a problem.i was wondering if this is an on-going issue and if there are any recalls for this.

Pump for emission control system malfunction, all wheels bearings are bad,.

My stabilitrac light keeps coming on. Took it back to dealer was told it is a common problem. Why hasn't gmc issued a recall.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who advised the contact that because the air pump was located under the vehicle, it was left exposed to debris, which had built up in the air pump over time. The vehicle was not repaired.the contact called the manufacturer and filed a complaint. The failure mileage was 72,000.

I started my vehicle in the amand it made a loud muffled noise.took it to the mechanic and he showed me a picture of a crack in th exhaust manifold.i looked online and saw recalls for other years and models for gmc and chevy.i think the 2008 chevy envoy should be included.it seems to be that the manifold is defective.

Our 2008 gmc envoy kept on getting louder and louder as time went on and when i went to check it out i found that the exhaust manifold had a crack in it about 3.5 inches long. If feel that this should be a recall do to i changed 3 od them in other gmc envoys in the last 6 months. I own a state inspection repair garage in pennsylvania.this is a very poor layout by gm. Also the secondary air pump on this same vehicle is a command problem. And the wiper spray nozzle is also another command poor design.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. The contact stated that the check engine warning lamp illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the seal that was on top of the fire wall was damaged. As a result, the water was sipping into the engine compartment and was getting on the coil packs and the plugs. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 59,000. The vin was unavailable.

Gmc used cheap bolts on their v8 motor's exhaust manifolds. I have two broken bolts on one side and 1 on the other.carrof vancouver gave me a quote of $ 2374.00 plus tax to fix this problem.they said it was a well known problem with all of the v8 motors by gmc.i contacted gmc and they refuse to do anything about this.i have researched it on the internet and there are hundreds of people who have had this same problem.the question isn't if this will happen to one of their vehicles but when it will happen.it is such a wide and known problem a company has actually made came out with a bracket to fix this problem.i don't feel that this should be a consumer problem but it should be a manufacturer problem.i would appreciateany help.i feel that they should have to recall these defective bolts and replace them with the right ones.i am not out for any kind of settlement or scam all i want is my envoy fixed.kral auto parts makes the bracket. The vehicle rearair compressor air deflates over night or after sitting for a while. Air compressor.

I started my vehicle on monday morning and it was unusually loud. After inspection, i found my manifold was cracked.

Check engine light is on.according to tests it is the result of a defective throttle position sensor.the light will stay on for a couple of days and then go off for a couple of days creating a error message that something is wrong with the engine.with it going on and coming off it is now difficult for me to get my inspection completed with the sensor reading not being accurate.

Bought the vehicle last november from georgian pontiac buick gmc in barrie ontario canada last november 2009.learned i had a cracked exhaust manifold on my 2008 envoy at 87 000 km.it has not yet been repaired. Research is ongoing.

2008 gmc envoy 51,000 miles exhaust manifold cracked i had it replacedand was told by dealer a 3 day wait would be necessary as they had used stock parts on another envoy with same problem . Advised me not to drivebecause it may catch fire.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. The contact stated that the exterior lights would intermittently fail. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle failure mileage was 27,000. Updated 05/28/14 ma

I received a letter from gmc in may stating there may be an issue with headlamp driver module (hdm) where the low beam headlamps will not work. At the time, my headlampswere working properly, so the letter advised me to not take my vehicle to my gmc dealer. However, two days ago my headlamps did not work at night while driving on the highway. This caused a severe safety issue as i could not see the road clearly.i took my vehicle and the letter i received to my gmc dealer. They advised me that gmc would not pay to fix the headlamp problem as i had more than 150,000 milesin a situation where customer safety is involved, i believe gmc should pay for the repairs. I had to pay for the repairs out-of-pocket.i strongly believe that this should be a safety recall notice initiated by the manufacturer to correct this issue.we should not have to wait for multiple accidents and traffic fatalities to prompt a recall for an important safety feature on a vehicle.

Campaign id 14v-755.my vin does not fall under this campaign or gm recall. I am having this exact same issue with the low beams shutting off at night and has happened twice. Vehicle was in motion.

I was driving at night and my low beam headlamps went out. They just went off.panicking, i pulled off the road and tried turning them off and on.testing, my high beams worked, but my lows were off.i turned the car off and waited a few minutes.once turned back on, my lights worked.this the first time this happened, this has happened multiple times and there is no rhyme or reason and you never know when it will happen.i have seen this same issue with a year earlier and wonder if the problem extends to newer models. This recall should be extended to 2008 as it appears my vehicle is having the same issues. I have had diagnostics and replaced headlamps...the problem persists.

Low beam headlights on my 2008 gmc envoy denali randomly turn off by themselves for extended periods of time and then turn back on the next day only to turn off again. This happens when driving at different speeds. Also stability track signal comes on for no particular reason.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. While driving at 20 mph, the headlights failed. The failure occurred on two occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who replaced the relay switch. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,000. Ma 10/19/15updated 3/21/2016

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. When the contact started the vehicle, the low beam headlights did not work. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was driven home using the high beams. The contact also stated that the vehicle experienced the same failure two other times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing, but no failures were found. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 119,000.

My dim lights have quit working recently on my 2008 gmc envoy while driving down the highway. Has happened 4 times so far. Last time was 11/2/16. Bright lights still work. I found a gmc recall on years 2006-2007 ref the headlamp driver module which causes this problem. It seems they should include this year also. Extremely dangerous situation.

Low beam lights went out while driving in motion. On the highway in the nightreplace relay and low beam light as instructed by dealership without success light still will not come on

I filed a complaint with nhtsa, complaint 10923972, on 11/3/2016 referencing my dim lights spontaneously going out at night driving down the highway. I had researched this problem and found there was a recall because of the headlamp driver module failing, but my 2008 gmc envoy was not included. I received a letter from gmc the end of may 2017 providing additional protection for this problem and it was worded "if this condition "occurs" on your 2008 gmc envoy within 12 years or 150,000 miles the condition would be repaired at no charge." when i received the may 2017 letter my vehicle had 152,000 miles on it but when i filed the complaint in november 2016 it had 142,000 miles on it.gmc refused to repair my vehicle under the additional protection because of current mileage even though i had proof the condition "occurred" at 142,000 miles.

My hedlights is not working.at night timewhile i am driving.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. While driving at 55 mph at night, the headlights failed to activate intermittently. The failure occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000. The vin was not available.

While operating the 2008 gmc envoy on an interstate i observed what appeared to be a lack of light when the low beam headlights were turned on. I drove to a rest area and confirmed that the low beam headlights were inoperative. The bulbs were removed and both bulb filaments appeared intact. Fuses, breakers and relays were checked for secure seating. The high beam headlights were operative and all other lights functioned.i am aware of documentation that covers the issue but only up to the 2007 model year. There are other complaints on file describing similar issues.the unsafe condition that resulted was the absence of forward lighting while operating a motor vehicle during times that lighting should be used. It is my belief that a solid state relay, delco part number 15016745, in the #46 position in the engine compartment fuse panel, is apparently the cause of the lighting failure. No injuries, or damages resulted from the in operative low beam headlight issue.

I have owned this vehicle for a year and it's had constant issue with low beam lightning. We replaced the relay thinking it was the problem but mechanic said it was an issue with this model. This car was mfg 1/08 and i honestly think it was assembled with the 2017 parts that were recalled.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. On several occasions while driving at night, the low beam headlights failed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the headlamp module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.

Gas gauge unknowingly doesn't work correctly, driver runs out of gas, almost got into major accident.luckily car behind me didn't slam into me. But it almost caused a chain reaction of rear-endings.failure is defective gas gauge/pump. Incorrect info given to dash board telling driver is at 1/4 tank of gas but the realty is that the sending unit is giving bad info and the tank is possibly on empty.no light comes on.doing an internet search reveals gm's part is known to fail frequently and is poorly designed.

Hello:2008 envoy.doors lock automatically. Whether or not i want them to lock automatically they do and thus, do not open with the inside handle.(not speaking of the 'child lock feature' on the rear doors.) the system is not set up properly in my opinion. Regardless on how it works to make all the doors lock, the doors should open from the inside with the inside door open lever either for an emergency or for convenience. Please know this concern is separate and aside from the "child lock feature" for the rear doors.please consider to rethink this and suggest that the manufacturer give the operator the choice whether or not to be forced locked in especially because some of us may not remember to hit switch a or lever b first to get out in a hurry. I have spoken with onstar as well as with service people at the dealers to no avail.also, may i ask, do the unlock switches work during a battery failure? thank you for the opportunity to prevent a potential problem.

I started my vehicle on monday morning and it was unusually loud. After inspection, i found my manifold was cracked.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. The contact stated that while attempting to drive up an incline, the vehicle made a tapping noise and the four wheel drive failed to engage. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the front right side of the shaft housing failed, causing the four wheel drive to fail. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 105,000 and the current mileage was 109,000.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. The contact stated that while traveling 25 mph the rear passenger's side seat belt failed to release the passenger. The seat belt mechanism would not allow the seat belt to adjust and was cut in order to release the passenger. The failure occurred on four different occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic, who diagnosed that seat belt gear mechanism needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 47,000 and the current mileage 47,500.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy denali. The contact stated that the front passenger side seat belt seized and could not be released from the enclosure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where they advised that the retraction mechanism failed and the entire seat belt assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000. The current mileage was approximately 53,806.

Passenger front seat belt does not work properly after attaching to proper seat connector seat belt locks up and no forward movement is allowed in non emergency situations. Seat belt must be detached as it is in a locked position. Upon unlocking belt returns to normal action. Belt must be reconnected and positioning must be retried sometimes requiring disconnection yet again. Belt was replaced at owners cost. Replacement belt has the same issues but not as frequently as original belt. Total cost to owner approx. 500.00 and not much improvement if any. I feel this can be a safety concern issue. Vehicle can be stationary or moving makes no difference.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. When the contact parked the vehicle and attempted to exit, the seat belt would not release. The contact had to physically climb her way out of the vehicle. The red button to release the seat belt was jammed in the down position. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 120,393.

While on our way back to our motor home the brake pedal on my 2008 gmc envoy went to the floor when i tried to stop in heavy traffic on hwy 503 in the state of washington. After pumping the brake quickly i was able to regain some braking power. When i called the local gmc dealer (carr gmc) in vancouver the service adviser confirmed that it was the master cylinder. Now this happened on tuesday july 20, 2010,the service adviser gave me an appointment for thursday july 22 between 9:00 to 9:30 am. I arrived at 9:10 am and was told that it would take 2-1/2 to 3 hours to diagnose the problem. Now this was the same person that told me on the phone two day prior that i had a bad master cylinder. Now i just drove this car 48 miles with the brakes not workingproperly. The dealer did not have a master cylinder in stock and was having one overnighted in from lancing, mi and would call me when it was repaired. Now i don't know of how many other vehicles this has happened too, but having a master cylinder fail on a car that has only 31,000 miles on it is not good and a real safety issue.

The brakes on our gmc envoy "skip" when there is wet weather, bumpy roads and especially snow.when trying to brake, the brakes don't seem to grab and it takes extra long to stop.we haven't had any crashes, but several close calls due to the brakes not engaging.in dry and normal weather, they work fine.

Abs failure. Vehicle skidded, leaving tire marks, about 2 vehicle lengths. Clean dry asphalt highway. Passenger in front right seat broke left foot.

My service stabilitrak and air bag lights has been on since i purchased the vehicle.i have taken it to a mechanic and they stated that they did not see a problem.i was wondering if this is an on-going issue and if there are any recalls for this.

The contact owns a 2008 gmc envoy. The contact stated that while changing the tires, the springs detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the springs were replaced, but the problem persisted. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

Have replaced right side front hub assembly twice, and have to replace it a third time, in 4 year's.getting best part fromo'reilly's auto parts. Vehicle is moving, feels like the front wheel is going to fly off, shaking, wobbly, just totally unsafe

Gm usa is permitting dealers to explore cars to canada that have been damaged, and are not reporting the accidents.my vehicle has damage to the back quarter panel and has developed a front end problem that is best described as a shutter. The gmc envoy has less than 15,000 miles. Carfax does not record the problems. Car is unsafe on the highway and gm has authorized us warranty work. Gm is apparently unaware of their dealer practices, and is honoring the warranty.

Portion of stabilizer bar under rear axle dislodged from frame. The weld failed.creates a dangerous situation while in motion because of sharp edge of bracket dangling within striking distance of rear tire -- impact could easily blow out the tire while in motion.

I put the car in park and shut the vehicle off and pulled the key out of the ignition. The car remained running with the key out and in order to shut it off we had to pop the hood and pull out a relay. We then tried restarting the car and it started with the key turned backwards. It wasn't driveable at this time because it was spitting and sputtering. We replaced the ignition switch and it was working for a few days and now its back to doing the same thing.

02.05.2018 -- was at a superbowl party and my car was parked for 5 hours outside, it was about 20 degrees. Had a 10 minute drive home - parked car in garage and shut the garage door. While driving, i did use rear defroster and wiper blade, as there was snow on back window and it was snowing.approximately 15 minutes after parking the vehicle,i heard a loud blast, like someone drove through my garage door.the rear windowof my gmc envoy exploded into many pieces. Glass was inside and outside the vehicle. My garage is not heated. I have no idea how it happened.i called my insurance company immediately and am going to drive the car to a gmc dealership to have it fixed.

Fire under the hood started, entire car burned in driveway, damaging house and a second car

I was driving the suv on the freeway when a fire started under the hood. I came off the freeway and watched envoy become completely engulfed in flames as fire department work to put it out.vehicle completely destroyed. No known issues with vehicle prior to its inferno moment.

As we were driving, all of a sudden we hear this extremely loud blast coming from the rear of the vehicle. We look back and seen that the rear glass was shattered. We then pulled over asap to examine the damages. I then began to take pictures using my cell phone. Not to mention my 13,11&4 month old kids was in the back seat when this occurred. We are still shaken up from this situation at hands. This could of been a far more worst situation. This is definitely a defect and need to have a recall. I've only owned the suv for 2 days i will be returning the next day.
