There was a random failure of speedometer to register correct speed.iam new to this vehicle so i do not know how often it has happened.i have read that this is a common problem but have not yet taken it to the dealer.
The contact owns a 2010 gmc canyon. The contact stated that while driving 10 mph in rainy weather, the vehicle stalled with the illumination of the check engine warning light. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they advised that the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. In addition, the contact was advised that his vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign id number: 09v154000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified and they stated that same thing. The failure mileage was 39,104...updated 12/11/12the consumer stated the vehicle stalled again after it was repaired. The dealer found corrosion on the wire harness. Updated 12/12/12

The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that there was no known remedy for the failure and stated that the vehicle was in normal operating condition. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

An incident identical to the description of recall 11v-276 occurred. Snow and ice were present. This rendered the driver's side wiper inoperable, leaving the field of the windshield and ending past the driver's door.
