Fuel guage inoperative on 1999 1500 gmc sierra.problem began after warranty expered and has continued to date.
Brake line corroded. Vehicle would not stop. Used emergency brake. Was luckyanother bake line just went. (10/25/2012) and they are replacing 2 more this time. Others have suggested replacing all. Total of 3 brake lines gone bad in this gmc.
Like many others the module that controls my abs on 1999 gmc 1500 went bad at 81000 miles. The dealer reair costs $1020. From reading these message boards it appears there is a problem with these units that gm will not recognize.this is my 4th gm truck and the only one to ever have this problem.
Brakes fail at speeds below 10 mph.
Tailgate straps breaking.
I bought this 1999 gmc sierra 1500 3 door truck about 4 months ago the body has no sign of rust.but underneath islife threatening i was driving normal speed maybe 55mph and i heard a pop and my frame broke in two different places because of rust. Now i welded it up just to get me back n forth to work. Witch is still life threatening but i have no other choice. I can not afford a new truck especially when i still got 3000 to pay on this one. The frame literally broke in half, under the cab on driver side, and by the back wheel on passenger side. It cause the bed to hit the cab and knock a dent in it. Not safe at all.
