Air bag light stays on. Air bags deactivated without warning. Vehicle was not in a collision. Contact dealer.
Airbag warning light stays on when starting car.
Dt*:the contact stated while driving 55 mph on a rain slicked road, the vehicle hydroplaned into the rear of another vehicle and the airbags did not deploy.there was pre braking prior to the impact.the contact was wearing a seatbelt, but no injuries were sustained.there was moderate damage to the front of the vehicle.the police were not alerted.the vehicle was driven to a body repair shop.the manufacturer was not alerted.
While driving 55 mph consumer's vehicle collided with another vehicle. Upon impact, frontal air bags failed to deploy.
Consumer states that while at a complete stop the consumer was rear ended at 60-65 mph and the consumer was pushed into another vehicle and none of the air bags deployed. Contacted dealermr

Problem with battery, tire
The window defrost blower motor fails to work after starting the car.also the rear window electric defrost fails.this could lead to impaired visibility during winter or rain conditions when the windshield fogs or ices up. There is an apparent short in the ignition switch causing this.after engaging the starter, the ignition switch fails to return to the proper position for the above accessories to work.the driver must jiggle the key and ignition switch backwards to almost the off position to restore power to the blower motor and rear defrost.sometimes, while going down the road the defrost blower motor stops when hitting bumps in the road.in addition to this, my wife once smelled and saw smoke coming from the steering column after trying to start the car. After reading about the nhtsa recall of chev. Cavaliers for faulty ignition switches (campaign id #04v036000), i wondered if this is a related safety problem.

When shifting from park to drive and reversevehicle stallsand diesin the middle of traffic. Also, has stalled out in the middle of an intersection.consumer has contacteddealer, dealer unable to find the problem.
Consumer noticed a clear oily like substance on the ground. Took vehicleto mechanic, and mechanic said transfer housing was cracked.
Regular driving wheel came off...reari bought this car from my son that owned it 2 yrs. From 37000 mi...it now has 52000.the wheel falling off happened to my son.the car now needs rear wheel bearing assembly...nothing to do with wheel falling off...normal wear.this vehicle has the rear wheel, spindle, bearing and drum assembly as the 1995 recalled metro hchbc w/o abs.gm says is has the updated assembly.i order and they send the parts.the bearing hub drum assembly are now separate in the updated version.they send me the new bearing/hub...but the drum, minus the bearing from the one that does not exist since 1995...they say the numbers are wrong in warehousing,,but not when it was manufactured...i order and they send the correct drum....however the complete assembly with drum is too large for the spindle, which contains the other braking components.this vehicle has complete wrong assembly and not the updated version.the 1995 geo metro 3dr htchbk w/o abs, nhtsa campaign id number : 94v213000 .....is the assembly that is on this car.i believe gm should bring this vehicle in and install the correct parts.if this was not ok to be put on the vehicle in 1995 then it should never be installed on a vehicle built in 2000.and...in 2005 when replacement parts are ordered the old drum assembly should not be available as i understand it is unsafe.help.c.
Vehicle has a bad shimmying and vibration.avehicle shook whenconsumer appliedbrakes.took vehicle to dealership, at this time they could not duplicate the problem.
While driving the vehicle lost all steering capability causing the vehicle to veer to the right and hit a curb, as a result the vehicle had two flat tires (right side) and two broken rims, while driving the chevrolet metro (rental car since vehicle was being repair) this vehicle exhibited the same failure as the truck except this time the vehicle spun aroud 180 degrees before it hit a concrete barrier.nlm

Problem with battery, tire
Had rented vehicle from enterprise. Started vehicle & had just shifted into drive with foot on brake and vehicle accelerated without warning.
Consumer went to put vehicle in park with her foot on the brake, when the car jerked out in the street and hit a car, the brakes would not work.
Defroster was inoperative. When turning on defroster it would fog up windows.contacted dealer.
