There is a recall i learned through my own research hearing about it through the news media.manufacturer recall number006gnhtsa recall number21v160000i have not been notified by the manufacturer or dealer about a problem. I did ask about it on a routine service call. And was told by the dealer maintenance representative yes there is a recall and no fix was available. As this is related to the brakes, my question is: is the car safe to drive. If safety related or not why have i not been notified.

The contact owns a 2019 genesis g80. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 21v160000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that gregory hyundai located at 490 skokie valley rd, highland park, il 60035, (847) 831-5980) had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

I was involved in an auto accident.the front driver side quarter panel was hit.no airbags deployed in either car.immediately upon the collision, i tried to stop the car, but it accelerated on it's own.the car would not stop.i made a split decision to pull into a parking lot and then contemplated driving the car into a tree to stop it.i then decided to drive over a curbed divider that had a 3 foot hedge.i got the car to stop 8 feet after running over the hedge.i have no idea what happened, but did have a clear thought process to get the car to stop.i opted to run over a 3 foot box hedge instead of into a tree.i have no clue why the car accelerated the way it did.the car is now considered a "total loss".

At speeds above 40 mph with both hands and a good grip on the steering wheel i frequently receive the display warning "keep hands on steering wheel" and a loud audio warning. The loud warning is not only annoying but startling to everyone in the car. If i take my hands off the wheel the message goes away. If i leave my hands on the wheel and even grip tighter the warning continues until there is a message that the lane keeping assist system will be disabled temporarily. This warning may repeat at 30 second intervals or less. Recently while driving on a straight road i experienced the warning six times in less than ninety seconds. Changing hand position and giggling the wheel doesn't stop the warning.
