Undercarriage storage compartment melt and burnt due to exhaust pipe heat too close and not shielded. Heat from the joining exhaust pipe under passenger side collects and flows up to exposed plastic wall of cross carriage storage compartment. There is no shielding above transmission nor on opposite side to prevent engine or exhaust heat from collecting and or making direct contact with plastic wall of storage. The motor home has less then 25k miles and has not made many long trips, more local area weekend getaways. Heat under passenger side seat as well as through inside engine cove was noticed but assumed normal from engine area. However, the collected exhaust joint from engine manifold is under passenger seat and makes it a high heat area. The heat is concentrated both in motion and especially stationary. It was noticed that the storage area was somewhat warped above the transmission and no excessive heat was notice inside storage area until the melt down.
