The contact owns a 2014 ford transit. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v408000 (power train) however the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The local dealer, bob moore ford 8948 s i-35 service road, oklahomacity, ok, 73149was contacted and confirmed that the parts would not be available until early 2018. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the parts would not be available until 2018. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.
A recall was issued in september 2016 for a recall on a faulty door latch which had caused injury.to date we have not been notified of a replacement part being available.the dealer cannot give us any details of when this part will be available.i think 14 months is long enough.the consumer stated the vehicle was repaired.
Rear tempered glass window exploded. Rear window has thin surface/hoar frost ice coating on it. Was parked in driveway with rear window facing east. Temps at night were 28 f and when sun hit rear window it exploded. Sounded like a gun shot. Vehicle was parked.
