While driving at normal speed a warning sign. Came on 'engine fault get service now.the van began to shake. I pulled over, turned off engine.a few minutes later it started normally and seemed normal for 2 weeks. (hospital side road) today, while driving home it happened again 3 times(country road) .we had to pull off each time and cut engine off.gas pedal went soft -inoperable. Very dangerous -our safety is at stake.

Under normal driving the vehicle got real hot ,and over heated. The water and oil levels where at the proper levels. The engine headcracked or blew the head gasket . Towed to ford they had to replace the engine. This happened on the highway, going home. The next day the vehicle would not start. There is a safety recall # 17s09, out on these vehicles, but my vin # was not on the list. Yet lm have the same issue. Luckily we caught it before it got hot enough to catch on fire.

The check engine light came on at about 81,000 miles, and a weird noise started happening coming from the engine area. I got into the dealer service department (dealer where i bought the car) at about 81,500 miles. They diagnosed a bad catalytic converter - it was breaking up. Several issues arose from that: first, i have been smelling carbon monoxide in the cab for quite a while and didnot know why (now i think i know - clogged catalytic, reversion through the engine bay). Second the catalytic warranty expires at 80,000 miles. (the light went on at 81,000). Third, at the time of purchase, the dealer finance guy forced me to buy an extended warranty. He said that ford would not finance me if i did not buy it so i agreed. It was over $2000 taken out of my down payment. I fully expected the extended warranty to cover the broken cat - wrong - cats are not covered. The repair was quoted at about $1000. My beef here is several fold: the 1) ford warranty expires at 80,000 and the engine light comes on at 81,000 even though the converter had been going bad the whole time. 2) i have been breathing co2 in the passenger compartment. 3) the extended warranty was useless and i paid a hefty sum for it. The repair is quite expensive and the problem is not covered by any of the warranties i have, which i think is unfair. I have not brought this complaint to the dealer to allow them a rebuttal - i simply left in shock that i am on the hook, and now i'm breathing the stink of a decomposing cat if i don't use recirculate (and a slight amount even if i do use recirculate, which is another complaint - recirculate still lets in outside air. In traffic, you are always breathing exhaust).

Pulled into a parking space at son's school, turned off the engine. Waited for my son. Then car would not start. Display was saying i was in reverse. But, the shifter was in the park position. I was able to access the interlock override under the shifter, and move the shifter into all gears, but car continued to display reverse position and engine would not start. Tow company came and lifted the hood and noticed immediately the shift cable was completely detached. Had vehicle towed to my ford dealership service department.

The vehicle rolled when the shift lever was placed into park position.the driver had parked the vehicle.the shift lever bushing had become detached from the shift lever on the transmission.this is the same problem that has been the subject of a recall for ford fusion and ford escape vehicles.this also happened on another of our 2015 ford transit connect vehicles.

Vehicle pulled in to park but it thinks it is in reverse, would not startthis is the 2nd one of our fleet in 2 days that has the same issue, there must be a recall for this year and thisshifter/cable issue, they want to charge us for both of these and i do not feel the same issue a day apart is possible coinsidence.

Vehicle was placed in park but thought it was in another gear neutral and therefore the vehicle rolls and the only way to keep still is to place emergency brake on.

The transmission shift linkage separated from the housing due to a bushing failure.it showed in park, but the car rolled and the emergency brake was required.the car was parked in the driveway at the time.

We've only had this vehicle for 6 months and have had tire replacements, transmission issues, pedal recall, and the doors unopening twice (recall)

The vehicle is hard to turn directions. I was leaving a customer home and the vehicle power steering just stop operating. This vehicle has electrical power steering.

What do you do when your steering wheel suddenly fails to control your car while you are driving?with the steering wheel cranked as far as it would go, my car continued going straight as i pulled into a parking lot. I stopped the car completely, blocking traffic. Then i slowly drove forward with no control over steering. Thankfully, the car ended up in a suitable parking space, but not due to my efforts. I had no means with which to aim the car.all i could do was call for someone to go get me. One day earlier, this car was on an interstate driving at 70 mph. I shudder to think about the harm this would have caused if it had happened 24 hours earlier!ford's online documentation refers to "loss of steering assist." that's not what happened. I lost all control over steering with a steering wheel that moves easily in any direction but with no effect on where the car is going.there was no warning of any kind when this happened.

Ford recall #16s30 was originally issued in january of 2017.eleven months later my local dealer still does not have parts to fix this problem.i have tried contacting them at several different points, and i get nowhere.why is ford not making these parts available to dealers?my door latch is now inoperable on one side.

Back door lift catch broke

Automax ford killeen installed recall 16s30 on 6-16-17. On 7-22-18, door latch failed in manner described by recall. Took van into automax on 7-25, on 7-31 was told recall part had failed, on 8-1 told i would need to pay for repair. I thought paying for duplicate failure of recall issue was wrong and contacted ford national office for help. Ford corp. Response was favorable but not definitely covering cost until dealer response. On 8-6 received final approval that ford corp. Would pay dealer. On 8-8 repair picked up car after repair completed, also personally paid for 2nd part for passenger side (since it was likely to fail too if driver side recall part failed & both were replaced during 2017 repair). During pickup, noticed that failed part that had been removed had a 07.10.2014 mfg date sticker. Since recall wasn't issued until 2016, this part could not be a failed recall part but was actually an original part from my vans mfg in late 2014. Dealer suggested this was not the case but would investigate and allowed me to return home with only drivers side repaired and passenger side untouched. Returned home and pulled door trim on passenger side, found seal inside door untouched and dated 2014 also. Could not have performed recall in 2017 without breaking seal. Returned 8-9 with proof and finally got passenger side repaired using part i paid for. Promised refund but not received until 8-21 and amount slightly less than paid due to tax not included. Expressed concern that other customers may also have vans with recall documented but not actually repaired. Assured dealer would take action, but needed time to determine how to fix for others and let me know. On 10-4 followed up and dealer stated there was no plan and since my vehicle was fixed, danger to others was not my worry. Summary: dealer did not put in recall parts, charged for fix, and may have done it to others.

A door latch with a fractured pawl spring tab typically results in a "door will not close" condition. A door that opens while driving increases the risk of injury.

After entering my vehicle while sitting in a parking lot, the driver's door wouldn't latch. I see that there are other complaints of similar failures, but the vin decoder show no un-completed recalls on this vehicle.

Rear sliding door latch defective. Latch was replaced in 2016-2017 per ford recall and still malfunctioning. Door will not latch closed at all and comes open, i have children. Ford will not help with the cost to replace this.

Rear glass on liftgate spontaneously exploded. No apparent cause. Glass shards were showered inside the cabin and the rear of the vehicle. This seems to be an issue with the transit connect and other ford models. Nhtsa is aware of the problem.

Driving straight on a highly traveled road (one lane each direction, has residences and businesses).while in motion, started making a noise, so slowed down, and then back passenger axle and wheel came off and vehicle was riding on the wheel hub!odometer shows 65,594 miles.

Rear window exploded while driving straight, less than 5 mph on city street.

Wal-mart alpharetta, ga installed the wrong tires on the front of my 2015 ford transit connect in august 2017. Starke, fl wal-mart could not balance the tires due to wrong load limit having been installed, bubble on driver's side that could blow at any minute & tires having been counter-balanced when installed. I have contacted alpharetta wal-mart, provided all needed info, asked that they make arrangements with starke, fl wal-mart to install 2 new proper load tires at no cost to me. Assistant manager tony was to contact me the following day after wal-mart was advised of the problem. I attempted 3 times to fax the info but their fax machine would not work. I mailed all documentation to assure their notification. I have not heard from anyone. I am afraid to drive. If an accident occurs, this will immediately become a much larger problem than it is now. Please do something to make wal-mart correct this problem right away.

The vehicle was sitting parked curbside while our daughter was in school and on a break, i went to move the car closer and when i shut the driver's door, the back glass shattered and fell to the street.

This is to advise you that complaint # 11169922 has been successfully resolved by wal-mart, starke, fl on january 15, 2019.i believe something should be done to the alpharetta, ga wal-mart #02941, specifically auto care manager troy who did not respond to me at all, however the problem was successfully resolved.

Windshield has many little specks that get worst when the sun light hits it making driving very dangerous it appears to be in the glass it self

After hearing loud roaring in the front of vehicle, took to mechanic who discovered bearings in left wheel needed to be replaced. This waswhen the vehicle was only 16 months old with 8,000 miles. This week took the van to the same mechanic after hearing the same roaring in the front, replaced bearings in the right front wheel. Van has only 30000 miles. Doesnt seem reasonable that this should happen to both wheels, installked incorrectly or not lubricated correctly at the factory?
