Vehicle fire.
Recall #99v-275 can not be completed due to lack of parts. *mjs
After receiving a recall in july, the consumer took the vehicle in after making an appointment.the dealer kept the vehicle for sometime and upon going to retrieve the vehicle the consumer was told, no parts were in.the consumer went to a second dealer and was told the part had to be ordered from the manufacturer. The recall was for the driver power seat, 04518.
The vehicle had a steering design defect and the steering wheel would make a clicking noise as it was rotated to various positions. The automobile safety foundation requested an investigation.
Good year eagle (p225/60r16), would not stay balanced due to being out of round.
Consumer will add vin.# at later date. Consumer was mounting the tire up.the bead seating onto the wheel broke, and the tire exploded. Coker tire id#--dy7fvlx208--- tire was purchased oct. 20, 1998. The wheel manufacturer has found that there are (1) out of every (200) purchasedcoker tires that have been reported to explode.
