I was driving 75 mph in heavy traffic on interstate 69 between sheppard and cleveland texas and the vehicle stalled and died in the inside lane.when i tried to restart the vehicle it was flashing a green wrench and would only restart in a reduced power mode.ford dealer diagnosed problem as crank case overfilled by 13 quarts due to failed hpfp.this was a new ford engine with only 13,000 miles on it with a 24 month unlimited mileage warranty.dealer advised that ford will cover hpfp replacement but will void balance of warranty if i do not pay $7,000 to replace all other fuel injection system components.ford bases determination on uploaded photos from dealer that they claim show evidence of "rust" which they claim indicates fuel contamination.their photos were of the hpfp straight off the truck and covered with deisel. And what they claim is rust is actually light refraction of the deisel (photo labeled hpfp with deisel)i witnessed both the removal and the photography of the pump.at that time i asked that the deisel be wiped off before the photos but was told that that was not allowed.i returned to the dealer the next day and retrieved the pump for independent testing for rust and took photos after wiping off the deisel.photo lableled without deiselford recommended verbally that i check to see if my auto insurance covers contaminiated fule but then refused to give me anything in writing, instead referring me to ford ogcreveiwing the internet i see that this is not an isolated event.these bosch hpfp have been failing for years.it is a disgrace that ford is extorting - coercing me to pay for the balance of the injection system while accepting responsibility for the failed hpfp.how does that happen?

I bought a 2010 ford f 250 super duty truck on june 11 2010. I began to have intermittent brake problems (no stopping) the problem increased until i was almost unable to stop the vehicle ( at 15 mph ) with all my weight on the pedal ( all 240 pounds of me). I had the truck towed to the dealer ship (harper motors mid city ford in eureka ca.) it has been there for two days. Today i was informed that a ford engineer had been there and not only were they able to recreate the problem in my truck. That they subsequently took other brand new 2010 f 250's on the lot and were able to get similar failures in those vehicles. I was then informed that there was no fix for this, that they believed that it was an inherent problem with these vehicles. I am refusing to take the truck back as i haul heavy loads in my contracting business and can not drive a vehicle that will not stop. I am amazed at the cavalier attitude of this dealership, but not surprised as i have had previous problems there over the years. I will also be addressing this issue with an attorney as i believe they will be stubborn and difficult to move from their position from what i have heard so far. I have as of yet, been unable to contact ford motor corporation regarding this problem and believe this is a good start here.

While driving on a rural country road less than 40 mph i had a catastrophic loss of steering.although i immediately braked, there was no directional change available through the steering wheel. Less than 10 days prior, i was told by a ford dealership service representative that the steering was 'a little loose.'there was no mention that i could have such a loss of steering or that it needed immediate attention.unfortunately, i likened it to 'your tires/brakes/belts are a little worn.'

While driving our ford super duty f 350 on numerous occasions , ifour front tries or tire hit a bump we loose control of our truck it shakes very violently until we show down and are able to pull over. We have had the front end replaced, also replaced damper and shocks.this has not stopped the issue, at this point we will not put our family in danger by riding in this vehicle.
