I was driving down a windy hill with my family on vacation with my toy hauler hooked up and truck just shuts off completely no power steering no power brakes will not restart. Luckily, i had my brake controller hooked up to stop it completely. Blocking traffic ran a code reader on it and it says cps= camshaft positioning sensor = 145.00 napa, and yes i have the old one you want it?

I own a 2000 ford f350 superduty powerstroke 7.3l diesel 2wd. Everything on the vehicle is still factory, no chips, mod's etc.. There is 107,000 original miles on the truck. No new engine.i drove my truck 20 miles outside of town and luckily i was on a backroad going thru a small town, bettsville, ohio and when i went thru the intersection light just a short distance from the intersection the truck just died.no check engine light, no power steering to steer the truck out of traffic.powertrain not responding to autoenginuity scan software.i haven't been able to get the truck started in over a year now. I thank god that i wasn't on the freeway going 65-80 miles an hr. And this truck stopped as i know there is no way to steer the vehicle to safety without causing an accident and killing myself or someone else.prior to this break-down 4 yrs. Back, i was driving around a curve coming home and when i applied the brakes my foot went to the floor.no brakes! after front and rear brake inspection, i found one of the rear brake lines had rubbed on the drivers side rear axle from vibration and worn a hole in it.again, glad i was just a few miles from home and not on a freeway or interstate somewhere or i would not be alive today writing and sending my story to you.to this date, may 10, 2015 there have been no recalls listed for the rear brake lines nor, the powertrain break-down issues for the make and model truck.i know alot of owners whom are clueless and penniliess after buying one of these ford trucks.never again will i ever buy another one.ford powerstroke 7.3l diesels are one poor design by ford.it seems they put production first before quality!!
