Ford has told me that i can only get the recall work performed at a ford dealer. I live in juneau, alaska.we have no ford dealer and there are no roads to juneau. Affordable auto repair in juneau (907-790-9332 rusty, srvc mgr) has already done some of the airbag recall work (notice #19s01), but ford has now put a halt to this work by affordable auto repair and will not provide dealer support to order the parts and reimburse affordable auto for the work.there are many ford owners in juneau and we are being put in danger, because ford will not allow this recall work to be performed at anywhere other than a ford dealer, even thought we have no ford dealer in juneau and no roads to drive hundreds of miles and days away to the "closest" ford dealer.ford's solution in unrealistic and unfair for alaska ford owners.ford is putting alaska residents in danger.we need immediate resolution to this issue.the ford helpline and online chat has not been helpful in bringing this to a resolution..

Takata recall - it has been nearly two years that we have been trying to get the airbag taken careof.the ford dealer says that it has not been able to get the parts needed to fix and ford's customer service recall line says that there is no anticipated date for the parts to be available.this is ridiculous - ford is not putting enough resources into this to have it taken care ofand thereby leaves my family with a choice of having a vehicle that is not usable or in the alternative put ourselves in serious danger.the nhtsa should do something about this,

I was told over 2 years ago that my takata air bag (passenger side) would be replaced by my nearest ford dealer at no charge to me.to this date they claim that they are unable to get the replacement parts after several attempts to contact them.i have a disabled husband that needs to ride in the passenger side of my 2011 ford ranger due to that is the only vehicle we own.he needs to attend doctors appointments and i am his only form of transportation to get to them.

Takata recall - ford dealership has stated that they do not have any parts available, nor have they ever nor do they know when, for the repair of the air bag in the recall. "takata recall" ford motor company, along with the nhtsa, knows this vehicle can be a death trap. Ford motor company chooses to disregard the occupants safety, by dragging there feet. I submit this vehicle should be replaced, and taken off the road now, not wait until parts can be manufactured, sometime down the road as they state. Should i allow my family or myself to be exposed to serious injury or death by ford motor co and the nhsta? i submit thesevehicles should be taken off the road! and replaced immediately. How many serious injuries and or deaths does it take? is there a number?

Takata recall: ford sent my 1st letter in july 2016. In dec 2017 i received a letter telling me to not let anyone ride in my passenger seat until they resolve the issue. This is not possible since my vehicle is a 2 seat vehicle and often requires more than 1 passenger. I tried to contact ford for a solution such as disengaging the airbag or providing me a rental car.they would void the warranty and recall if i had the airbag disabled and refused a rental car. Since this is my only vehicle that often requires more than one passenger i am not able to resolve the year and half only delayed recall? the companies solution does not allow for me to use my vehicle with danger of injury (passenger in the passenger seat) or financial burden (rental car).

Takata recall. In july 2016, i received safety recall notice 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-384. Several times i have called the local ford service dept. And been told that parts are not available. It has been over 6 months since i received the recall notice. It is either a safety issue or not, safety is being compromized.

Takata airbags i received a letter today (12/22/2017) from ford informing me to not allow anyone to sit in the front passenger seat.this is a 2 seat pickup truck which means i can not use this vehicle with anyone but myself. How am i supposed to use this to transportfamily members ? this recall was issued on june of 2016 which is 18 months ago.why is ford being allowed to put off fixing a safety defect for 18 months and is now telling owners they can't have anyone else in the vehicle but the driver. This is my second email regarding this recall the first was submitted in may of 2017, i heard nothing back from the ntsb regardingmy first complaint.this latest update from ford is an outrage which basically leaves me with a vehicle that i cannot use to transport family members. With no remedy from fordsee the 'warning' section from the letter in the image attached

Takata recall on passenger side. I have been contacting local dealers fro years and they tell me they do not have a fix and do not know when or if they are going to have a fix for this recall

Takata recallwhy is ford taking so long to remedy this safety issue?!i received the initial notice last year in 2016, and i just received a notice that takata has filed for bankruptcy in japan.i have contacted two dealers in my area, and both are waiting on ford.

I've contacted empire ford of abingdon virginia twice by phone: once on august 27th and again on august 28th 2019, and went in person to the dealership on the 25th of september 2019 and physical handed them my vehicle registration to get this recall taken care of. As of yet, july 2020, i have had no help getting my recall fix, and yet, ford continues to flood my mail box with 'urgent recall' mail. Either this is not an urgent recall or ford motor company does not care about my safety; or maybe the dealership in general does not care about my safety. Please advise, or at least get ford motor company to stop the harassing recall mail.thanks

The letter specifies to call ford motor company to set an appointment to replace the passenger side air bag, but when i called them they told me to call don davis ford in arlington tx to obtain an appointment for the replacing of the passenger air bag, so i call them and they said they did not have parts yet for the repair,so i called ford motor company and they said they will set an appointment as soon as they get the parts available and until this day i haven't received a call from them again. Right now the heat in the area where i live is bad and i am scare that the passenger air bag might explode. For your information the letter i have received has a posted date of april 2018. Thanks and please let me know.

I have waited 2 years for the company to replace the airbag and they keep telling me the parts are not in. I cannot use the truck with a passenger as it is a death seat if we get into an accident.we need to use the truck but cannot because of this air bag death trap. Please we need to disable the air bag until the parts come in so that if we do get into an accident the passenger is not killed by the air bag.we need satisfaction in this matter.

It has been approximately 14 months since i first received the recall notice regarding my 2011 ford ranger regarding the danger associated with the takata air bags.since that time i have called spikes ford on three separate occasions and ford motor company on one occasion andhave still not received any definite date for correcting the issue with the air bags on my vehicle. I am very concerned regarding my safety and it seems that ford is not attempting to help in any manner.they consistently say that supplies are not available and that i must wait and check back.it would seem that after a year some effort would be made to help customers that have been loyal to the ford company. I am very dissatisfied with the overall response to this issue plus the attitude of the administration with ford company.

Ford sent a letter (april 2018 - just over a week ago) indicating the airbag issue:nhtsa 16v-384 could now be repaired by their dealership (kings colonial ford - brunswick, ga).when i called to make an appointment, the service department indicated that they do not have the parts to do the repairs and they have no idea when they will have the parts.it is now 2 years down the road since the air bag issue surfaced and there is still no hope of repair.folks:this is bordering on absurdity !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Takata recall = was informed to have passenger airbag replaced at dealership free of charge. When contacting dealership, they continue to tell me that replacement parts have not been made available and to call tk holdings. Tk holdings toll free number only gives instructions on how to file an electronic claim as a result of death or injury. Also contacted nhtsa toll free line and they too only provide info on filing a claim before deadline date of dec 27. No is able to repair my vehicle, nor tell any kind of timeframe as to when parts will be available for repair. This is quite stressful knowing any passengers in my vehicle is at risk, yet no one seems to be making any kind of attempt to assist me!

Can you please let me know when parts will be available? this is a 2011 and it is a safety concern. So for this to be a recall and put customers at risk for years even though we know there is a recall is disappointing. This should be top priority. When will there be a remedy?

Airbag recall - notice 16s26 recall 16v-384 received notice about recall dated april 2018.called local ford company - crossroads in kernersville, nc and was told they did not have the part...they suggested that i go to another dealership.i then called ford company who contacted this dealership and was connected back to the manager (bill) who told me that the part would be ordered and he would contact me once it was in.this was on 4/16/2018....today it has been a month and i have not heard anything from anyone about this.the letter indicated that the parts were available and this recall would be replaced free of charge (parts and labor)....there seems to be some sort of delay.so i am now reporting this *issue* to you....i would indeed appreciate a prompt response and would like this done before something happens.

Takata recall:i have been trying to get my passenger airbag replaced since the recall came out in february and i have been blown off 3 times by the dealership.the first time i called i was told by a service dept. Rep that they had to order the parts in march and to call back in 5 weeks if they did not call me.at the beginning of may i called and i was told they had no record of me calling and talking to anyone at the dealership.they once again took my information and i talk with a marissa.again i was asked to check back in a month if i was not contacted.last week i contacted the dealership again and once again i was told that nobody had ordered the parts.this time someone named carla took my information and set up an appointment to come into surprise ford dealership at 7am to get my truck fixed only to find out from them that i was not in the system and no parts were ordered.they told me that they have a service center in florida answer the phones when they are busy and they never set up anything.now almost 6 months after the recall i have yet to get any action done on my truck not from my part.this is really a messed up system and a waste of my time for nothing.something should be brought and done to this dealership and others if they operate this way.it comes across as though they don't care about the recall until it is too late.

I contacted ford at 800-392-3673 (as advised by your representative dawn at 888-327-4236) and was told that my vehicle is included in "zone a" but that the parts are not yet available and there is no availability date. This is taking too long, and i am beginning to wonder if it will ever happen at all.

The check engine light comes on at the time of power lose on the highway traveling about 65 mpg. It only happens on the highway traveling at higher than 50 mpg. It doesn't happen on slower drives in the city. We be traveling on/or about 65mpg, than engine light comes on, then the engines feels like its looses power, power falls like your out of gas. We pull over, shutoff the engine , then start it up again. Check engine goes away for a while then comes back. We put it on the computer, and it brought up the code pin pointing the problem. Traveling west on i-80 in nebraska, saw in my side view mirror blue smoke coming from my vehicle.drove approx. 4 miles to a safe place to pull over at a reduced speed.found that the fill plug for the transfer case was missing.prior to this incident, i had already drove approx. 670 miles from oklahoma city oklahoma, that day.dealer says the transfer case is "burned up" and that the repairs are not covered under ford's platinum warranty.photos available upon request.

Truck shifter is sticking, the antilock light trouble light comes on and truck will not shift from park. My son who is a mechanic says the brake switch is bad, you have to step on brake and wait for a click then the vehicle will shift into gear. So i tried this and indeed is the issue. This truck only has 40k miles on it. Problem started at about 30k miles i did not know that the issue was a switch. I just thought the shifter was sticking. I had complained of this problem to dealership but it never was bad when they looked at it. Now it is getting to point of being a problem. The trouble light only comes on after trying to put truck into gear, then light stays on for random amount of time. Truck was stationary to begin with. It doesn't matter where location is, it is random timing when this occurs.

My truck has 55,000 miles on it and has been babied and not driven hard and has a transmission leak located on my garage floor ' i feel this is an issue that should not have occurred ' i located the leak this morning on my garage floor on 4/14/2019

When coming to a stop the vehicle surges forward and i have to stand on the brakes until the surging stops. This only happens about every 2 to 3 hundred stops. At first i thought it was driver error but after doing it several times i noticed that the rpms on the tach would stay at app. 2000 then it would drop down to 900 which is the normal range. I took it to a local dealer and complained and they said they could not duplicate the problem during a test drive. The problems continues and i am afraid one day it will cause an accident.

When braking vehicle accelerates in forward and reverse.october 2011, i was slowly backing and upon applying the brakes vehicle surged backward almost hitting two men directing me.the next day i carried vehicle to an open field and tried unsuccessfully to duplicate the problem.i assumed driver error.several days later when braking going forward at about 25 mph the vehicle surged forward.over the next year the defect was noticed in varying degrees.four times when starting the engine with the brake pedal depressed the engine raced.april 2013 while slowly backing out of a parking space i braked to avoid a vehicle moving behind me. My vehicle surged backward almost hitting the vehicle behind me.local dealer can find nothing wrong with vehicle.

Driving 40 mph down city street, straight, the vehicle in front of me, which i had 4 car length between him and me, stop fast, i put me brakes on and my truck was not responding. I putt both of my feet on the break peddle and it went to the floor and still no respond to the brakes. Well, my truck hit the truck in front and the front of the truck was all messed up, not able to drive it and transmission fluid leaking to the street.after the truck was fix, they tested the brake by pilling each tries off check all the spec, pulled the rotors off and applied the brakes to each wheel one at a time and ran the calibers out to it limits and install the rotors, tires and road tested the brakes check ok at that time but the brake were not at 100% and was still were soft a bit. I ask ford dealers to install a new master cylinder and each one refused to do that, why, i asked? i received many different answers, but not to why they will not want to install the master cylinder. So, left in a amazement! months later i heard about a recalls on ford truck with brakes problems, they explain the condition of the problem and my truck fit it to the (t). Now the brakes in my truck is getting softer and not working very well at times.yesterday, i move the truck, i put the brakes on started the truck and the brakes went to the floor again.same thing all over again. I am very glad, i used a different car. I was hurt but the next time i might be going faster and well, you get the picture. Help some one please!!!

Without warning, the front right wheel bearing disintegrated while traveling on a highway at 55 mph.i heard a load noise in the front, the truck sagged to the right, and the truck and steering suddenly pulled to the right side, sending the vehicle momentarily out of control.fortunately, there was no other vehicles to the right of me because i would have been in a serious accident.after swerving and fishtailing, i was able to get the truck under control and coasted off the road.i brought the car to a front end specialist and he said that the bearing went and destroyed the spindle, the sensor and the brakes. He indicated this failure was unheard of for a vehicle this new and he indicated it had to be a factory defect in the bearing which caused this failure.i also filed a complaint with the ford company.

This 2011 ford ranger xlt 4 x4 is only 7 years old & the amount of corrision underneath the truck-bed is ridiculous, i feel like the previous owner had it parked in a 'lake', this cannot be normal for an u.s. Manufacturer to have a truck to 'rot' this quickly!! i put a complaint with b.b.b. And their response was not what i wanted to hear. I hope someone can guide me with this issue, thank you

The truck has less than 52,000 miles and the a/c has quit ' this is the third ranger since 1990 the ac quits working...blows hot air out ' is this a design flaw? seems strange that as soon as the warranty time expires, the a/c stops working ' it was used minimally , as i am never hard on a vehicle, and when you buy brand new you expect to get a vehicle that when you need the ac by chance it works... Got nowhere when checking with local dealer, only suggestion was to pay to have a look at it in service... Why should i pay for a service call for something that should still be working...are the o rings in the compressor that cheaply made that they only hold up a few years? can't say when it quit, since i don't use it often
