The contact owns a 2013 ford police interceptor utility. While driving at an unknown speed, the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard and failed to stop the vehicle when depressed. Also, the brake warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the police department's certified mechanic where it was diagnosed that the front brake hydraulic hose failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 85,704.

On the police interceptor suv explorer, all driver's lights shutters do not work properly. High beam stays on drivers side and does not go back to regular beam. This problem is on the red lake fleet of 6 suv's police vehicles. I also contacted beltrami sheriff department and they also advised they have the same issues with the shutters on their ford police interceptor vehicles too. Safety issue at night when approaching on-coming traffic. I was also told they cannot adjust beams alignment until shutters are repaired/replaced. All 6 vehicles have the same problem. We asked ford dealership and it was not under warranty even though the miles were under as we were told warranty does not include lights. We were told that each shutter/light would have to be replaced at a cost of $700.00 each. This problem was an issue from day one.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
