Apparently this plug is used on a lot of ford alternators, many short out, few have fires. Any fires are too many.
Consumer contacted the dealer in reference to recall number 93v125000, manufacturer's # 93s68. Dealer refused to correct problem under recall due to faulty records.
While driving at any speed the tranmission went out for the second time. Vehicle lost power, and there was no prior warning.
