The contact was able to locate a recall relevant to the failure (nhtsa campaign id number: 06v471000: engine and engine cooling, diesel) yet the dealer advised his vin was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and current mileages were approximately 20,000.
Loss of power on highway. Fuel tank has a coating on the inside that has delaminated ( silver flakes) causing the fuel system to be clogged which resulted in lost of power while driving.
