Takata recall

When a door is opened while the car is stationary but in gear or the brakes are applied while on an incline and the vehicle stops on an incline, the parking brake engages but the dashboard light does not illuminate.when the parking brake is on, the brake pedal must be applied and the emergency brake electronic switch pressed to disengage.the parking brake.the indicator light not illuminating initially caused confusion and worry that something was wrong with the vehicle until i was able to troubleshoot and reproduce the issue at will.

My 2015 ford fusion hybrid had 11,000 miles on it.i opened my garage door and got in to go to work and car was dead.no electrical response.called ford road service and car was dragged out of my garage and onto a flat bed and taken to my dealership.car has been in shop for a week now and still no diagnosis.no matter what they do, the car is drawing power when it is turned off and kills the battery in 2 hours. They are working with ford system wide and no one has seen this type of fault yet.to me it seems to be some kind of software fault but per ford troubleshooting, they have to tear my car apart and check every wire and fuse before looking at the software issues. This is my first hybrid and i am questioning my decision.

The vehicle was in motion in a city street. The gas pedal stopped working and seemed to be accelerating itself. Brakes continued to function properly.

The contact owns a 2015 ford fusion hybrid. While driving 10 mph, the check brake warning indicator illuminated. When the brake pedal was depressed, the brakes failed to engage. The contact stated that the vehicle was eventually able to stop after depressing the brake pedal to the floorboard. Prior to the failure, the brakes were applied and worked fine. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it test driven. The mechanic discovered that there were no brakes. The vehicle was towed to garnet ford (1610 wilmington pike, west chester, pa 19382 (610) 358-5600) where it was diagnosed that rodents chewed the body harness, which needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The contact researched the failure online and found out the wires were made with a soy material that attracted rodents. The failure mileage was 45,711.updated 11/01/17*ljplease work with ford and other car makers to eliminate soy products from wires!! updated 9/7/18

The vehicle was traveling at 65mph on the interstate and suddenly a message light came on that said transmission not in park.the car suddenly cut off and i coasted to the shoulder of the highway and put the car in park and it restarted. It happened a second time on 9/2/2015. This time i was driving on the street doing about 40mph and i go the same message light(transmission not in park) and the car cut off.again, i put the car in park and restarted it. I immediately took the car to a ford dealer where it is not being checked out. I did go online and found a previous recall (14v736000; 14c11) for a similar but not exactly the same problem with this type of vehicle.

This car has been in twice for a cam position sensor. The first time the part totally failed and left us on the road side on a very dangerous stretch of hwy 101 and was replaced. 1708 miles later the check engine light came on again. The code was p0340 again. We were told that the issue could not be duplicated through a dealer road test and we were charged $190.00 for the diagnostics. The first time this issue occurred, we had brought the vehicle in for a safety recall. When we picked the car up, this was the first instance of the failure of this component. This has caused us grave concern. My wife has ms and can't be left on the roadside. We believe this vehicle has the potential to be unsafe, and ford will not stand behind their repairs as the computer shows the code that would state the issue has happened again, but because the service department could not cause the code to occur a third time, that everything is working well. Again, we believe this is wrong and wish to make the public aware of a very real safety issue. We have contacted the dealer about the issue. Our service adviser is [xxx] from mock ford (should be noted this is not her fault nor i believe mock ford) and the ford rep is [xxx],866-631-3788 x77756 . We do not know at this time if the issue has been remedied. Only that through a test drive it could not be duplicated. The computer log shows the incidents. Should we just ignore this and hope for the best?information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Good afternoon,i want to bring this to your attention. I don't know if it's a problem with ford or with me. So please bear with me. I just purchased the above vehicle about 3 weeks ago. It is brand new. This vehicle comes with a feature called "active park assist." it is new to me and have never owned a vehicle with this feature previously. Yesterday, i used it for the first time. I turned it on and let it parallel park for me. I followed the directions on the vehicle video screen and took my hands of the wheel. The vehicle then backed into the space and struck the car parked behind. Needless to say, i was stunned. The directions in ford's manual are somewhat, at least from my perspective, unclear. On page 180, it says "the driver is responsible for avoiding hazards and maintaining a safe distance and speed, even when the system is in use." on page 182, the manual states "if your vehicle speed exceeds 6mph, the system switches off and you need to take full control of your vehicle." i'm still unclear as to whether the brakes are operated by the vehicle during parking assist or me. For now, i'm not using it.thank you for looking at this.regards,

Vehicle was involved in an accident on april 10, 2019.the seatbelt came loose at the metal cable.all other 2015 ford fusions have had recalls for the same issue.the recall should be expanded to include fusion hybrid.the vehicle was in motion and turning. *dtphotos attached

Today, 21 february 2017 - 6:50pm, on our way home approaching crowley road in burleson, texas, the brake system started warning there was a problem with the brakes.we stopped the car in the middle of traffic because the braking became unstable and were almost rear ended.we turned the vehicle off, waited about 2 minutes and turned it back on.we continued at a slow pace until we arrived home and the brake system was still displaying an error.the emergency brake would not set either.i decided to run a vehicle safety report.when i place the vehicle in run mode i noticed that the brake error disappeared and i had to wait approximately 1 minute to run the vehicle health report.the report ran without errors.the brake system went back to normal.i'm afraid that this may cause an accident that may lead to serious injury.my wife and i were fortunate we did not get rear ended in this occurence.

The brakes of my car went completely out. Even while in 'park,' the car would move. It was towed to local dealership where we were told the brake booster needed to be replaced. Luckily, when this happened, i was going at a very slow rate of speed on a city street and was able to use my emergency brake to avoid an accident.

Safety recall 15s14 - steering gear motor bolt failure.ford issued recall 15s14 which impacted my vehicle.the press release states:"customers located in non-corrosion states or provinces will be covered by extended warranty if they experience similar concerns. Dealers will replace steering gear motor attachment bolts on customer vehicles with new bolts, seal them, and replace damaged steering gears at no cost to the customer."the ford motor company technical service bulletin to dealers states for sold vehicles "dealers are to remove the original steering gear motor bolts, install revised bolts, and apply sealant to specified areas of the steering gear.if any of the original steering gear motor bolts are broken, missing or break during removal, dealers will replace the steering gear assembly. This service must be performed on affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner."for new in-stock vehicles "dealers will apply either valugard rust inhibitor aerosol vg-101a or daubert nox rust 7703-w to specific locations on the steering gear. This procedure should only be performed on new in-stock vehicles because these vehicles have not had the potential to accumulate corrosion damage in the steering gear motors with time in service."our vehicle was purchased new from the dealer and we're told they sealed the bolts prior to sale in compliance with this recall however the bolts failed at approximately 50k miles resulting in separation of the steering gear and loss of power steering, making it difficult to turn, especially at low speeds.ford recall actions for new in-stock outlined in the tsb did not prevent the failure from occurring and did not align with their press statement.their sealant was a patch solution which bought them time without addressing the root cause which was faulty bolts.

Swelling lug nuts that need to be beaten off or drilled off

The contact owns a 2015 ford fusion hybrid. The contact stated that it was discovered that the lug nuts were swollen and weak.
