If i crank the car soon after cutting it off, (while it's still warm) engine sputters then quits, as if it isn't getting enough fuel. So when getting gas, i have to hold down the gas pedal or engine quits. As soon as i start pumping, the engine starts choking. I can't turn off the ignition while pumping gas because it won't stay cranked once i try to drive away unless i rev the rpm's up really high for a period of time. I've had it looked at several times and no one can figure out what's wrong. This has been an ongoing problem for over a year. And now white smoke billows out of the tail pipe when it's cranked.second problem....electrical. Some of the steering wheel buttons, such as cruise and hands-free calling stop working over time. Third problem.... Front cv joints wear out way too soon. I heard of a recall on the news a couple of months ago for my car that sounded like my engine issue, but now i can't locate the recall anywhere. They even took it off of the news channel's website. During the broadcast, they said the recall would begin december 10th. What happened??? did ford change its mind? sure would help me out! i'm entering the occurrence date 1/1/17, but this has been going on well over one year, maybe 2.

The contact owns a 2015 ford fusion energi. While the vehicle was charging, the plug melted into the wall at the contact's home. The contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 18v592000 (equipment). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The vehicle was taken to west hills ford (1100 oyster bay ave s, bremerton, wa 98312) and they stated that the part was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Several times now. While driving the car (ac normally on), we will get to a full stop from driving (over ~40 min trips)... Whether in traffic on a freeway or stop sign... The cars check brake system light will flash & beep, and the car will not accelerate. Neither the electric motor nor the gas/hybrid engine will engage and drive. Turning off and on the car does not reset it... It takes repeat effort and several minutes (once over 10 minutes) to be able to start up. Can't imagine if it were to happen on a freeway again with a child or my other half in the car! scary! took it to the dealership several times without any luck diagnosing or fixing the issue... We need a reliable vehicle this is insane. Now the car is out of warranty and doing it again. Ford nor any dealer shop can help fix this. They can't reproduce it, the issue is sporadic which makes it worse & more terrifying to experience. So far 4 occurrences within the last 4 months. About 10 + over the 3 years since we purchased the car new. The lights always reset by the time we make it to a dealer lot. Their systems cannot trouble shoot anything at that point! it happened again recently when parked for over an hour, after a 80 mile drive. When we went to drive home, it would not drive/accelerate. Same brake system light issue was popping up again. Almost had to get a tow, then all of a sudden it started back up again as the driver got to us.

I bought this car on march 1, 2015.on march 12, 2015, i was driving from san jose (after watching sharks game) to santa clara (my home) on i-280, in the left most lane, when i saw loss of power, engine light came on and warning said "alert stop safely", but the time i reached the right most lane, the car lost power and stopped (30 sec). I prayed to god, as this was around 9:00pm at night on highway. I restarted the car, it started again and i was driving on lawarency express way, when the same thing happened, it stopped.i ran diagnostic report and it states there were components failure in engine and electric system. I started again and went home. This morning i got it towed and it is with sunnyvale ford.oi am thankful to god, that this didn't result in accident or loss of my life or my loved ones.i will like this to investigated, as i have read about the ignition failure in gm cars that have cost lives.please act immediately, before this happens to someone else.

Vehicle lost all power and did not allow access to vehicle by owner.eventually, owner was able to gain access.vehicle towed to dealership, where vehicle diagnosed with a "dead" battery.seven days later blue charging ring continuously blinked creating issues with other vehicles and individuals and center electronic went blank eliminating back up camera and system controls and remained blank for several minutes and would flicker back on (this occurred more than once.).again taken to dealership, charging port and cable replaced.next morning vehicle showed a "wrench" warning sign which indicates a "power train" issue and vehicle would not engage in gear.after four attempts, vehicle engaged in gear and vehicle was taken back to dealership.vehicle has been in dealership service department for over 64 days awaiting electrical components from europe.

The display in the dashboard shows the message "temporary lost communication with the climate system", and locks the windows, the vents stop working, no air is coming through. In addition, the cross traffic warning stops working, as well.

Apim module failure, affects or renders useless backup camera, backup alarm/sensors climate control navigation voice command controls.

The car has stopped charging and will not operate in hybrid mode.ford and the dealer have the parts are back order for over 4 months.the dealer is stating that they have 4 other vehicles with the same exact issue.this seems to be an emerging failure point on these cars.

While driving down a city street my car had a complete loss of power, with multiple warning lights and alarms going off. There was no warning of this failure prior as the car was operating normally. Associated with this loss of power was a loss of steering and a loss of power assist braking, which resulted in the car came to a stop in the middle of the street. Once in park it would not allow changing gears. A tow truck required the use of tire dolly's to load the vehicle, which was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The dealer maintenance department was unable to diagnose a cause, and used the analogy that the car had an "electrical seizure," which i interpret as a catastrophic electrical system failure. They were able to make the car operable by rebooting, and reinstalling software, to the car's computer.

I parked my car, turned off the push button ignition, exited the vehicle, locked it and walked into starbucks.halfway into the store i heard a crash sound, turned and didn't see my car.it had rolled from where i parked it across a parking lot and hit a parked vehicle.it easily could have hit and hurt or even killed a pedestrian.when i got into my car i noticed i had inadvertently left it in drive.i take responsibility for not putting the car in park but i find it disconcerting and dangerous that the car provides no warning when that is done.had i left the car on it would have honked when i exited the vehicle.had i left the car in drive in my honda i would not have been able to remove the key without putting the car in park.i believe that is an important safety measure and one that should be required in any car, including push button start cars.without some sort of safety feature i feel it's only a matter of time until someone is hurt or killed by an inadvertent runaway car.i did call ford (both the company and the dealership) and they said the car behaved as expected given what i had done.i should also point out that my nissan leaf, which also had a push button ignition, would not rollaway if i left it in park and turned the car off - it would in fact put itself into park.

Shifter bushing cable - this part broke off from my vehicle back in july. The bushing connects shifter arm to transmission. Without this piece, my vehicle needs assistance to complete every single shift. When attempting to move from park to drive, i have to get out of my vehicle, open the hood, place the shifter down on the transmission arm, then shift the cart. To go from drive to park, i have to engage the parking break, get out of the car, pop the hood, reattach the shifter arm, then shift the car. This issue has been ongoing since july 2018 with no notice from ford on when the replacement part will be available. This specific part is not sold on the aftermarket either, meaning that i do not have any way to fix my car and thus have to deal with the issue every single time i drive the car. I'm very concerned that all of this shifting and opening and closing of my hood is causing long-term damage to the car (that ford would most likely not fix). I have called ford over 8 times to complain and have received no eta on parts, no other way to fix the issue, nor any compensation/help towards me being able to use my car. Recall was issued on july 20th, 2018; over 3 months later, no replacement part has been provided.

The contact owns a 2015 ford fusion energi. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle made a grinding sound. There were no warning indicators illuminated during the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (art hill ford lincoln, 901 w lincoln hwy, merrillville, in 46410) where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 137,000.

The contact owns a 2015 ford fusion energi. When the vehicle was started, the power steering assist warning indicator illuminated. The indicator turned off when the vehicle was restarted. The same failure occurred previously. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the cam position shaft needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,486.

Key fobs break apart under normal use. Can break during driving creating a serious hazard.

The first time this happened i was sitting at a red light and then when i went to engage (put foot on gas pedal) to move forward the car, the car just stood still. I put the car in park and started the process again and then moved forward. The next day, i was driving in traffic, from 15 mph to 0 mph, stop and go traffic. (story of my life)from being in the break position to engaging(put foot on gas pedal)to go the vehicle wouldn't move forward.i put the car in park and back into drive and it still wouldn't engage, then the emergency brake indicator came on and also collision light came on. I tried the gas again to move forward and the car stuttered.i put the car back into park and shut down the car, i did this 3 times until all the warning lights went off.my goal was to get my car out of the middle lane in horrific traffic.the car finally moved forward, it then happened again 5 minutes later, when i was turning onto a street.i shut the car off, this time it was 2 x. This happened on saturday and on monday morning i called ford to bring in my vehicle.that same day ford service said they can not find a problem, i told them to keep it there and gave permission for them to drive it more to see if it happens.at this time i am in fear of driving that vehicle, i drive a lot of miles in all situations, and i do not trust the car at this time.i am still waiting to hear back from service.....

I received a safety recall in august concerning the transmission shifter cable. On september 9th, 2018 my cable broke and i was unable to move my car, roadside service was called and i was able to get car home. Called dealership len stolers in owings mills maryland, they informed me that parts weren't in yet, but they could fix my car but i would have to pay for it, no such deal, this is a safety recall from ford motors, to make things short car not fixed yet, and was unable to get a loner auto until parts came in, this recall was ford's issue, it's a safety issue, need my car fixed, unfair to have to pay for a rental when my car in in a shop as a result of a faulty part finished by ford motors

The display in the dashboard shows the message "temporary lost communication with the climate system", and locks the windows, the vents stop working, no air is coming through. In addition, the cross traffic warning stops working, as well.

While driving my vehicle the vehicle jerked and suddenly lost all power. I coasted as safely as possible to the right lane as soon as i had a 'stop safely now' message blink on my instrument panel. I attempted to turn my car back on but couldn't. After a few attempts i was able to turn it back on only to have the same jerk movement and light come on. I coasted once again to the furthest right lane before attempting once more to restart the car. After another short lived take off i coasted to a parking lot. While in the parking lot and eventually being able to turn the car into acc it happened once more and the vehicle shut off again.

Nhtsa recall 18v-592. Ford recall 18s24. Convenience charge cord replacement. Ford has not provided a timely resolution to this recall and has not provided a reasonable/practical temporary solution to charging my vehicle with a replacement cord that is available, with a different part # than my current cord.the part is available but would not be honored under this recall. That part #is hs7210b706a.if this charging cable is available for my car, then why can't it be provided at no cost until the replacement cord is provided at which time, i can return part # hs7210b706a? please advise the best way to proceed with obtaining a temporary cord for charging my electric vehicle or authorize obtaining part #hs7210b706a at no cost.
