Airbag light has been constantly illuminated since one week ago sunday. There seems to be an electrical problem with the car. In the past year, the 12 volt battery has died twice requiring replacement. The first time it happened all the lights went on the dash and it did not have as much power.(car still started) power steering seemed inhibited. The 2nd time it wouldn't start at all. The airbag light is on and it seems that there is something wrong with the sync system.i don't know if the car has a short or what.ford dealers are inundated with work and don't have time to look at the car.

The vehicle is equipped w/ ford's driver assist package which includes blis (blind spot information system). Blis only works as described 50% at best and even then is wholly inadequate and no better than not having. When blis does work, by the time the indicator triggers the vehicle triggering it was already in the blind spot. Blis typically does not indicate when a vehicle is in the blind spot and tends to be triggered even when no vehicle is present. If the vehicle in/approaching the blind spot is moving fast enough (35+ mph), by the time the indicator comes on the vehicle had already come and gone; that's if the indicator was triggered at all. The indicator is also on the far end of the mirror and only a small little light which distracts the driver due to having to turn eyes/head far enough to the side to see the indicator. The main reason for the complaint is that non-driver assist package ford fusion models come standard with blind spot mirrors which allows the driver to see the blind spots without having to turn the head (turning the head while driving in traffic significantly increases the likelihood of an accident) but the driver assist package models only have blis and because of the location of the indicator the driver cannot add a third party blind spot mirror to augment the ineffective blis. Blis should be in addition to the blind spot mirrors, not replace them when they do not meet the same functions and does not work as described (even when taking into account the times when ford says blis does not work). This issue has been brought to ford's attention to no avail. There have already been several times when driving that i've personally almost hit someone because the indicator was not triggered or when having to turn my head to double check while driving in traffic, both of which were not an issue with my previous non-driver assist package model.

Air conditioning failure which allows for non-cooling of hv battery in energi. Vehicle forced into hybrid mode to "cool battery" though it is unclear whether there was any capacity to cool hv battery due to completely depleted freon. Concern over hv battery capacity compared to other fusion energi models.

The charge melted, almost caught fire the electrical 110 volt gfi rept in my garage.i created a case with ford and they say too bad car is out of warranty.my wife and 20 month old son were in the house when the rept started smoking.i could have lost my family and my home.ford says no issues and they cannot help or do anything.if you go to myford mobile and type in fusion melting repts to pages of owners with the same problem have made comments.the car is at big valley ford in stockton and they cannot figure out why it has melted a gfi rept.the are is unsafe and poses a life threatening risk to my family if i plug it in to charge, the entire point of purchasing this car. Drove the car down a mountain road and somehow managed to regenerate 29 miles on the battery. Thought that very strange as the highest charge or regen achieved prior to this showed 24 miles and did not think the battery could hold that much. Returned home about 9:30pm with an empty plug-in charge. At approximately 9:50pm plugged in the car for charging using the 120v ford phev charger supplied with the vehicle. At approximately 3am awoke smelling electrical fire. Followed the smell to the garage and discovered that the phev charger plug had completely burned up along with the outlet receptacle, plastic receptacle box and some of the stud the receptacle box was attached to. Somehow the attached garage structure did not become engulfed; rather, the fire went out somehow by itself. Unplugged the charger from the car at 3:11am and made sure the panel circuit breaker was completely in the off position. Looked at the android myford app and discovered that at 2:27am the car sent a message "scheduled charge did not begin - external fault." the app also reported the following at 3:11am, your vehicle had an accidental unplug while charging.' however, the car appeared to be fully charged. Through the process of investigating the fire with the insurance and fire department, it was determined that the charger plug is where the fire started. We possess a copy the fire department report on the cause of this incident.

The wall charger is melting our outlet because it is overheating when it's charging the car.

With the key fob in the front seat, on the floor board, the doors were able to be locked. This resulted with my key fob being locked in the car., and i was left in the heat with frozen food after grocery shopping.

I happened to be driving at the time of the incident, when my car began to run hot. I saw there was a recall on the part that was causing the car to run hot but when i brought it to the dealer attention they didn't have recall information for my vehicle but for others vehicles, also since they claim to not have recall on just mines they also didn't have means to providing a part for me to purchase but told me to look in junkyard. I recently was at the dealership two months before the incident for almost a total of eight recalls that needed to be done they fixed them and i was happy but the next day comes around and the information light comes on saying see dealer so i went back and they wanted to charge me for something they just examined. I just want to be safe in my car again or just take car off market please to much going on as far as recalls for this model ford fusion titanium 14 energi

My car started stalling after every gas up, found it to be this part ford oem emission system-hose assembly dg9z9d289d* i have tried to get this part but i am told it is on back order from ford and they won't start sending these out until march of 2018 - this issue causes pressure in my gas tank so much that the pressure makes a loud noise coming from the tank and if you press open the cap less gas input it releases pressure loudly - secondly when this happens the car will not idle and stalls out when you let off the gas - on the highway and everywhere when you let of the gas!!!and won't re-start until after 4 or more tries.this is dangerous!!!! is my gas tank going to explode!!! or will i die after someone hits me when it stalls out? the consumer stated that she replaced evaporative purge valve and it corrected.

My 2014ford fusion had motor mounts go out on it, i'm being told that it is not covered under my manufacturer warranty. I'm not exactly sure how that is not covered. I've had nothing but problems with this car it's been to the dealer probably about 53 of the five times it's been in for the cross traffic s i'm not exactly sure how that is not covered. I've had nothing but problems with this car it's been to the dealer probably about 53 of the five times it's been in for the cross traffic sensor malfunction and yet again it still is showing malfunction i am so close to filing a lemon law on this vehicle it's a 2014 with 60,000 miles and i can't even trust it to get me to and from work anymore. Worst purchase of my life.back to the motor mounts i was leaving work put the car in reverse and when i was backing up i felt a major vibration i got out and checked everything started rocking the car back-and-forth by hand and realize the engine was moving abruptly took it to the dealer where i was told it is not covered by my warranty and i will have to pay approximately $395 and cover my own rental car it just doesn't seem fair, also had to pay to have a new steering wheel and but put on before the recall came out, and was told i can't get reimbursed because it was 6 months before the recall was issued.

Vehicle is emitting a strong odor of gasoline.the inside smells and the garage smells of gasoline.there is no gasoline dripping on the ground.

Safely stop now displayed on the message center left screen with no prior warning. The car immediately started to loose acceleration speed on jefferson avenue and i was able to pull off the road after exiting the interstate i 64 onto the main road of 45 mph speed limit. The car automatically reduced speed to 25 mph to 2 mph. I parked the car in a nearby car dealership parking lot and had to have the car towed to the dealership as of july 27th and have not received a return call to find out what is causing this dangerous situation that could have caused a major accident if i was on the interstate and could not pull over safely.

There is a plastic shield right inside the seat belt buckle both of these on back seats have come loose (i use booster seats) it requires a long needle nose pliers to get this part out of the inside of the buckle in order for the seatbelt to work again... When you are and about that means you have no use of the seatbelt until you can get home to remove this piece. Ie kid not restrained date below is 2nd / time buckle

Open recall number 16s42 - seat belt tensioners not operating correctly - ford will not authorize alternate transportation. I am writing to file a complaint on ford that they will not provide alterante transportation for a clear safety issue

My car has had an open recall for the seatbelts since 03 nov 2016, and there is still no remedy available.this is in addition to several other recalls, including one a couple days ago for faulty door latches, and the overall poor quality of the vehicle.i can't even trade it in because no one wants a vehicle with an open recall.i feel that five and a half months is an excessive time for a recall to still have no remedy.

A safety recall (16s42) was issued for "seatbelt pretensioner cables may separate during deployment and may not restrain the occupants in a crash".all the ford dealerships around me (zip 95008)say they cannot do the recall until january 2018.this seems like a serious problem that should be addressed much more quickly.ford should provide more parts in a timely manner and allow dealerships to do the repairs.i was told that by a dealership that they are allowed to only do so many of these repairs per week and that is why their appointments are so far out. I do not feel comfortable driving myself and my kids around until january of next year in a car where the seatbelts might not work.

Vehicle was parked in my driveway. I dropped an ink pen between driver seat and center console. When reaching for the pen with my left hand, i suffered a laceration on the outside of first knuckle of my thumb. There is a very sharp, exposed metal edge on the framework of the drivers seat.

While traveling slightly downhill on a freeway, in 10-15mph stop and go traffic......the brakes failed on my energi.i was applying the brakes a little, getting back some ev charge; when the car in front stopped and when i pushed harder on the pedal it went to the floor and the brakes failed......causing an accident.

Driving at a high rate of speed on the highway and "check advanctrack" and "power hill assist not available" light illuminated. Car became very hard to steer. Lost control and skid to the side of road. Internal steering gear failure was cause of issue.

Power steering went out, first time ford looked at it and could not identify the problem, saying there was "no code" showing up, and that they "reset" the electronics.1 week later, power steering went again out at 75mph, creating a very scary and unsafe issue.

Early on in ownership and under heavy acceleration from a dead stop, the front tires (goodyear eagle 235/45r18 98y) would lock, hop, skip until acceleration reduce.as of mid-december, under even light acceleration from a dead stop going up hill, the front tires would lock, hop, skip.the dealership confirmed the existence of the problem 11/24/2014.the dealership tested the issue per ford motor company and found that fusions with the same tires produced the same unwanted results.though ford motor company is aware of the problem, it will not authorized tire replacement to ford fusions with the eco-boost, 2.l engines vehicles.ford's position, according to the dealership, is that the mounted goodyear tires are sold as "sport" tires and as "summer" tires.virginia has four seasons and ford should have known that the mounted tires were not appropriate for the annual climate changes in this state.

Ford denied my recall on my vehicle charging cable as it indicated that it is only working to repair ford focus electric vehicle charging cords.my cord overheated, damaging my garage electrical outlet. Manufacturer recall number18s24nhtsa recall number18v592

The charger (shoreline) nearly caused a house fire.the charger overheats at the wall socket.it is not the wall socket because i tried it on a commercial outlet on a new 20a circuit breaker.the online chat rooms are full of concerns about this.i called ford and they did not seem to take the concern seriously at all.the vehicle is in park, turned off and charging.

Wipers are not able to keep windshield clear the faster you go the worst it gets at 60 mph it a big blur and at night its really bad almost had two accidents. Wipers work the opposite of most cars they wipe from the center out to the edge of windshield and back to center leaving allot of water to accumulate on the windshield most cars have wipers that follow each other giving you twice the wipe. The aerodynamic of the hood pick up water on hood and spray the windshield the faster you go the worst it gets and eventually not being able to see out the windshield. Very scary situation driving in rain.
