I came home from work and parked my 95 ford f-150 xlt super cab truck at 5:45 p.m. Friday evening . I didn;t drive my truck the rest of the weekend i was awakened sunday morning at around 9:00 a.m.by the postal worker dropping off mail for the next day. My entire truck was burnt by electrical short as by described by fire mashall.

Was approaching a stop light, when all of a sudden my radio went out, my gauges started to go crazy, then my truck had shut off and turned back on. After that i noticed smoke coming from under the hood went to press my brakes, i had no brakes. So i turned into a parking lot, where now my gauges had pegged all to one side, more smoke was coming from under the hood, and now i still didn't have no brakes or power steering. So i slammed the truck into park, then shut it off. I popped the hood and noticed a small fire under the master cylinder and the brake lines going to the master cylinder where fire engine red. Tried putting out the fire but had a defective fire extinguisher. The fire spread and has severely damaged the truck, it is at the point of no return.

My vehicle had been parkedsince 7.30 amin my parents driveway until4.15 when it justcaught on fire and completely burnt.destroying a major portion of my parents driveway pavement.it appears to have started at the firewall of the truck as i said it was parked and the ignition was off.i have my truck keys with me so i can show proof positivethe vehicle ignitionwas off.i have done some researchand found that therewas a recall onmy vehicle in jan.2005i did not then nor have i ever received a recallnotice from ford or anyone.my concern is who is going to repair the damage to my parents drive wayand since it is a recall issuedo i not deserve to have my vehicle replaced with vehicle of my choice?

I own a 1995 ford f-150 4x4. I bought the truck in december of 1998, and it had approximately 87,000 miles on it. I started having trouble with the cruise control shortly after i bought the truck, but i also had trouble with the speedometer. I thought that the cruise control was caused by the speedometer problem. I also had trouble with the automatic transmission, which i contributed to the speedometer fluctuation. Since then, i have had the rearend rebuilt, and have replaced the transmission. I still experience problems with the transmission, and the cruise control. I have never had a fire in the engine compartment, but i am wondering if the recent information about a short in the cruise control could be causing the trouble. All work has been done by a reputable ford garage, and they have not been able to find the reason for the continued problems.

My f150 pickup has virtually no rust but 2 days ago i was underneath and saw rust spots on the engine oil pan and big bubbles under the paint so i thought i would scrape them off and rustproof but as soon as i scraped the oil poured out and when i put pressure on the rust spots (about 6 square inches)they were soft.if the oil pan would have failed at highway speeds i think it would be a serious safety issue. I am having the pan replaced oct 11 and will keep it.

Truck has dual fuel tanks.fuel tank would leak. Also, whileperforming an oil changenoticed that engine oil pan had corroded.

The current recall didn't go back far enough, since my f150 gas straps also broke off.

I have a dual fuel tank system. The rear tank is pumping gas into the forward tank. The forward tank is overflowing past the filler cap and spilling to the ground.these symptoms are indentical to the 1993 f-series fuel systems problems nhtsa id # 00v-424,mfg campaign # 00s57. I just went to the local ford dealer. They looked up my vin and said that my vehicle is not listed under this recall. The dealer is more than willing to help. I was told that the service technician would first have to troubleshoot the cause and find out if the failure is due to the same part being defective as the recall items. Then i would have to battle ford to pay for the fix. I was told that they sometimes have trouble getting ford to pay for repairs if the vehicle is not listed on the recall,even if it is the same part malfunctioning.i am going to begin repairing the vehicle soon and would appreciate any help you can give me. Having seen that these same symptoms have appeared on earlier models i have come to the conclusion that this is not an isolated incident and suspect that other same year vehicles as my may develop this problem.

A malfunctioning check valve within the fuel pump assembly causes a portion of the unused fuel from one tank to be returned to the second tank. When this occurs, the capacity of the second tank can be exceeded, causing fuel spillage.

1995 ford f-150 rear leaf spring shackle bracket. The bracket bolted to the truck frame which connects to the rear of the leaf spring rusted thin the broke free leaving the rear of the leaf spring unconnected to the vehicle .

1995 f150 burnt to ground at 930pm after sitting in driveway all day.

Truck = 1995 ford f-150 with 302 cu. In.cruise control stopped working on truckbrake light fuse blewreplaced 15 amp fuse with 20 amp fuse, within seconds cruise-control deactivation switch started to smoke and melt from within.removed fuse immediately.

In june 2003 my 1995 f150,vin 1ftex14nska48833 burnt sitting in front of my house.i had the key in the house, cold for 3 days.i have pictures before and after the burn. For issued the recall on my truck just last month.the local service manager sent in by email copies of the pictures. They refuse culpability.
