I have to haul small children in the front seat of my pickup and i do not have a passenger side airbag switch so that i can turn it off. I am afraid that if i were involved in an accident that one of them would be injured by the airbag.
2000 f250 sd 7.3 diesel incident date 2/15/20102/12/2010 i took my truck into the dealer to get a oil change and a recall fixed on the cruise control.that morning when i started it up, it had a noise when i turned the wheel, when i brought it in, they said the gasket on my power steering had gone bad, and i needed a complete replacement of my power steering pump.now is when the real problem starts...i had not experienced this problem prior to the dealer visit.all of the sudden when i drive on the highway, any rough road sends it into uncontrollable shaking, i thought i was going to lose complete control of the truck, it could easily cause an accident.i looked for this problem on the internet, and found this is a problem for many ford sd drivers, and as others have put it, ford won't do anything until the deaths out way the recall cost.it is up to people like you, to keep us safe, and make these car companies fix their problem vehicles before there are too many deaths.i am sure there hasto of been an accident caused by this problem, very possibly 1 or more deaths, i know of one person with this problemon the website caused a 3 car accident.i called the dealer, they want to come to my home and drive it to the dealership, i said i would have it towed in, but they want to drive it, which makes me uncomfortable, since i am liable for what happens with my truck.there has been no modifications done to this vehicle, and the tires are the appropriate tires and they are filled with the proper air pressure.
Vehicle caught fire while parked and occupied by myself. Engine was not running. Vehicle was totally destroyed by fire. Fire marshall investigated incident and found that cause was directly due to the known problem with ford motor co.'s speed control deactivation switch.
I bought my super duty f-250 in early march of 2000 and my gem module is failing . I cannot use my door unlock buttons. My driver window fails to go down all the way, and my key fob doesn't work the locks. My complaint is that ford had a recall on this same module up to the year 1999 my truck was ordered from the factory in late december 1999 or early 2000 and is having the same problems that the trucks up to 1999 are having, but because it's a 2000 ford will not cover it.

While driving 2000 f250 superduty ford pick up, tire came apart at 65 mph.stock aluminum wheel distroyed.problem is the jack broke while trying to change tire.second time used.ford dealer said jack not any good and not warrened.i can forsee that a person hurt useing jack.
