I have been experiencing power failure, fuel starvation on my 2001 f550 diesel truck.i replaced the filters today at the onset of the incident, but just replaced them about a month ago with my mechanic.it runs fine on level ground, but at an incline it loses power and barely makes it up a hill.i removed the tank pump from the top of the tank and looked in to it with a flashlight.the lining of my tank is peeling off.after investigating online, i find this is a serious issue with ford.i cannot afford to repair this vehicle again. I run a small business, and rely on this only truck to support my family of 7 kids, wife and mother.i have put 3 transmissions in this vehicle in its 110,000 mile lifetime, and now this.

I have a 2001 ford f550 super duty flatbed towtruck, the trucks design is a combination from ford and international, which due to the faulty fuel tank delaminating and causing a financial lose of not only a days work, but also the need of having a two vehicles which while in tow stop traffic when all of a sudden the truck looses power and service engine soon light turns on. Cost over 1000.00 just in wrecker bills, and not to mention trashed the injectors, pump, and filter system and all the lines. Ford or international will not take any responsibility for a bad fuel tank recall. Truck is still down and seems that i will probably have to replace all parts mentioned at my cost.

I am having problems with my ford tank falling apart inside - have done my research and read about 100+ posts from other people with the same problem, no caused by the fuel, but by the tanks cheap design. Its going to cost thousands of dollars to fix - this is not fair - ford knows of this problem, and they should fix it!!!!!

The f53 motorhome chassis has a severe vibration. Rv has been taken to three different heavy duty truck dealerships attempting to correct the vibration.the rear end has been replaced, 4 rear tires have been replaced, transmission has been shimmed, and tires balance several times. Vibration is still there.hands have a tendancy to tingle from the vibration and am afraid loss of control is possible.

When driving uphill vehicle was fine.as downgrading started, consumer noticed transmission had gone out without warning. There was no back pressure from lower gears.vehicle still at dealer at this time.

Seat belt will not stay latched while driving vehicle. Appears to be latched but when vehicle engages the slightest bump on the road the buckle releases. I know this will not hold in the event of a crash. Recall was performed in 2002, which was just an inspection at that time but replacement was not performed at that time.

Fabricated assembly that holds5th wheel has excessive wearness. It is woren out.

Tires are cracked, wear bars were showing at 24,000 miles, one tire is egg shaped. (dot number: cu9rhmtj29tiresize: 225/70r19.)

Consumer states has had 3 blowouts due to defective tire valve stems.valve stems are leaking causing tires to deflate resulting in the blowouts.ts

Left rear outside dual tire had some tread separation.original equipment, 1,836 miles, mounted on a 2001, ford, f550. Tire size 225/70r19.5, consumer stated he was notified by the tire company or ford that there was a recall on the valve stemsuntil after the second blow out of the tire.

We received a recall notice to have our local dealer (towne ford) check the valve stems in our 2001 f-550. On january 23, 2002, the check was performed and we were told no replacements were necessary. On march 25, 2002, one of our three man crews was traveling on the freeway at 60-65 mph and experienced what they described as a blowout of the right front tire. They were able to pull safely to the side and call a local tire service company to have the tire serviced. When the technician arrived, he went straight to the valve stem and said heres your problem, we see this all the time with these big fords. When the crew arrived that evening to report the incident, i was on the phone right away to towne ford, believing that the recall had possibly been insufficiently addressed and that at a minimum, we should expect reimbursement from ford for the expense of the emergency service call. I was told to bring in the valve stem and original service invoice for reimbursement. Upon arriving at towne with our valve stem and service invoice in hand, we were told that there would be no reimbursement for this incident. After our objection, the service manager agreed to contact ford motor company and get back to us. Two days later we received word that ford motor company would provide 80% reimbursement and that they would need the valve stem and tire in question. I immediately called cumming henderson and was told that the tire had already been disposed of. At this point, and despite a call to townes customer service representative, ula, it became clear that towne was no longer interested in helping us. My call to the ford motor company customer relationship center was no more satisfying. We feel that a known safety issue was responsible for potential danger to three of our men and expensive down time. Having used ford motor company trucks in our business since 1970, and as current owners of eight ford trucks, we are very disappointed at the lack of support in this issue.

Valve stems have failed 3 times in past year.there was a recall on problem however ford has refused to inatall new valve stems due to the dangerous condition. I had metal stem installed at my cost.

Recall 01v046000 on valve stems done on 24 apr.2001. Dealer only inspected valve stems, did not replace. Then on 1 june 2001, while driving about 45 mphdriver's rear inside tire went flat due to faulty valve stem. No accident.

Manufacturers recall 01505. Stems of tires are defective, stems will not hold air inside oftires, and had two blowouts.good year rep. Recommended to replace valve stems and tires, there is no problems with blow out.* et
