While driving on highway 301 thru starke, florida, in my motor home, in a 30 mph zone, the engine stopped. All electric was lost, as a result, power steering, and power brakes failed. Fortunately i was going slow enough to make a controlled stop. I notified 911 and they dispatched the starke police to provide traffic control, as motor home was blocking a travel lane. The vehicle was towed to murray ford in starke, florida.i was told that the electronic engine control unit failed. The service manager told me that the part was not readily available, and there would be a long time delay, four months, before a new one is available. I bring this to your attention because that part must be failing at a significant rate, and may require an investigation.
