The contact owns a 2015 ford f-350. The contact stated that when the gear shifter was shifted to reverse, the back-up camera became distorted, displaying multiple random colors and powering off and on independently. The contact was then unable to determine what was behind the vehicle. Joe bullard ford lincoln (19684 us-43, grove hill, al 36451, 877-710-9321) was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was informed of a recall however, neither the vin nor the year/make/model were included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 43,000.

Vehicle was attempting to clean the exhaust filter with the def system.check engine light came on.vehicle began slowing down.scanner revealed code p20ba-00, reductant heater "a" control circuit performance, and p0884 tcm power signal intermittent.vehicle was being driven at highway speed.ford dealer contacted regarding repairs.advised was not under warranty for emissions control.cost prohibitive to repair.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-350. When the vehicle was started, all of the instrument panel warning indicators remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (kalispell ford, 2000 rose crossing, kalispell, mt 59901), but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 55,000.

Engine stopped once in the road pulling a 40 ft.r.v. .intermintley severeloss of powerand trying to overheat. Comeing down a 7200 ft. Mountain i lost the r.v. Brakes, engine brakes & the tow haul mode (to help slow down) all i had was the truck brakes going around 80 m.p.h. By the time i got stopped all 4 wheels were smokeing cooking the related parts, rotors, brake pads, calipers, wheel bearings in my opinion.later in a town going slow and stopping the brakes pulled violently to the right, a few more traffic lights then violently to the left. Failing to clean the diesel exhaust filter as needed. Sometimes the wipers come on one time when starting the engine. 3 attemps to fix the engine problems and in my mind it is not fixed yet, most of these problems happened at higher altitudes. All this information should be in the trucks black box, since i could have gotten killed twice i have not let the dealer have the truck again as it is running o.k. Now and i have ordered a new truck because i am afraid of this truck. The dates are approximate, the dealers and i have a copy of the repair attemps . I was on the same roads two years ago with a 2011 f-250 same engine and a heaver load and did not have any problems.

The contact owns a 2015 fifth wheel solitude (na) travel trailer being hauled by a 2015 ford f-350. The contact stated that there was a premature failure with the wires associated with the brake system. While braking, the brake pedal was difficult to apply and the contact had to use excessive force. The repair shop diagnosed that the wires ran through the middle of the axle, and the coating was worn and caused a short with the wires, which caused the brake failure. The mechanic rewired the wires to the back side of the axle, clamped the wires on the outside, and repaired the travel trailer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided no repair recommendation as well as no solution to ensure that the repairs were sufficient. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

Truck is less than 3 years old and recently serviced at ford dealership. After recent service the truck wouldn't start. When the truck was checked both large factory installed batteries had catastrophic failure leading to battery acid corrosion destroying wiring, potential the the braking system and other electronics that were exposed to battery acid and corrosion. There is tremendous damage to the truck and a large chemical spill from the acid.dealership quoted over $1800 in damages. Truck was a fire and chemical hazard because the failure was hidden by a factory cover, a huge copper cable was free to arc and could have ignited the battery or caused a dangerous electical fire.

The entire body of thetraffic is speckled with rust . The electrical system has the same issues that we have taken to the dealership repeatedly with automatic start and they cannot fix it also it tells us other things are wrong that or not . We keep taking it back but they keep telling us it's fixed minutes not.

At times and very frequently truck is losing power to accelerate, very slow to accelerate, will not go over 50mph. This happens everywhere doesn't matter the speed or location. When this happens the turbo psi reads 0, and you can't hear the turbo. A warning will come up that says the exhaust needs to self clean and drive to clean. Sometimes it will have thick smoke come out the exhaust that stinks. Sometimes the truckwill shake violently when trying to accelerate or brake. Very dangerous when driving on the highway and the truck will not accelerate so that i can merge without being rear-ended. Sometimes it will loose all power so i have to let up on the gas and try again softly and it will slowly accelerate this has also happened at a traffic light that turned green for me, as i was entering the intersection i lost all power and was almost rear-ended. The first happened when i was trying to get into the right slow lane on the highway from being pulled over on the shoulder and as i stepped on the gas and the truck did not accelerate at normal speeds and i was unable to accelerate to speed in order enter traffic in time to not get rear-ended by the car coming up in the lane i was trying to enter thankfully the other driver switched out of that lane.

This vehicle has 42,188 miles to date, and has been down for over 8 weeks due to sensor problems involving the egr and def system.4 temperature sensors were initially replaced, and then the particulate sensor showed a fault.that sensor was $146.55!as of today, that sensor is bad again and ford states there is a updated one for $200.99!the emissions warranty runs out as soon as you drive it off the lot!i have spent nearly $800.00, and this vehicle sits, as the check engine light keeps it in limp mode.this vehicle is maintained in perfect condition.if the epa is going to require these emission standards, then vehicle manufactures should be liable for these costly repairs!i recently found out that there are delete kits to eliminate this issue.however they void the warranty and it is unlawful to do so.i can see why they are doing this.frankly, i dont see the point in a "handful" of us trying to keep ours running to code, while others are ripping this pollution stuff off.i don;t see the point.however i am totallyl frustrated at a $70,000.00 pickup that remains broke down.you can't even trade them off if they are having def issues.i read quite often about state, county and city vehicles that are having the same issues, and that keeps them off the road for snow plowing and a host of other duties.this issue needs addressed and resolved.talk about a safety issue:driving home in the dark and this thing decides to limp off the road.always a weekend or after hours.and service shops are so far behind it takes weeks to get in.this is outlandish that the us is trying to reduce emissions while the rest of the planet could care less.what is the point?i am a reasonable person, but i do not see the point.clue me in please.

2015 f350 6.7 diesel with 46,000 miles that is down because hpop is defective and spreading medal through system. Ford has inspected and said it is because of water in fuel, even though no warning lights or codes are available. Ford pulled sensors out of engine and rejected repair because of tarnish on sensors. The only codes were for (low fuel pressure & reduced power). No other codes. Initial inspection revealed about 3/4 inch of water in water separator but no light or code. The warnings occurred when truck was started and it ran about 100 ft before being shutdown and towed to dealership. This appears to be a common problem since ford offers a repair kit for this issue. Total cost of repair is between $9500,00 & $12,500 dollars and this on a truck which is still under warranty that ford will not honor. The truck wasn't a year old until may 2016 and has been down for over four months because ford will not repair. This is the bosch c4 series pump.*dtconsumer stated he had the truck repaired and he sold it.

Diesel exhaust fluid reductant heater fault, check engine light has illuminated and is not covered under previous recalls. Recurring problem for ford super duty that needs to be extended for this model as it is the same problem that previous attention was given to. It is a emissions problem that fails on these trucks.

During driving on highway, exhaust regeneration cycle activated, violent shuddering and clattering from engine for 2 minutes.

On my 2115 ford f 350 powerstroke diesel the check engine light came on and it de rated the power. I read the cel code and its pb20a which is a redactant heater performance failure. This problem is covered under warranty for all models 2011-14, f250-f 550 and 2015 f450, f550 only. Ford isn't covering the f250 of f350 in the 2015 years. My truck meets the date and manufacturing plant criteria and it is no drivable because of this emissions control part failure. The redacdant heater keeps the diesel exhaust fluid from freezing and renders the vehicle un drivable when it falis.

When vehicle is going thru regen runs extremely rough shaking and bucking .

Exhaustfilter cleaning when that warning comes on my trucksengine is really rough and shakes. This is when driving to clear the exhaust filter.

The contact stated that there was a hole in the engine assembly. There were no warning indicators illuminated. Broadway ford (1010 s military ave, green bay, wi 54304, (920) 499-3131) was notified and stated that the vehicle was excluded from a warranty to provide a remedy. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair facility for further diagnostic testing. The manufacturer had not issued any recall campaigns for the engine and engine cooling. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60628.$9349.20 in repairs. Consumer stated the first engine blew a hole on the side at 60,628 miles. It was no longer under warranty. Engine was replaced as well as converter assembly, due to the engine oil getting into the converters at 61629 the engine went bad due to the intake manifold being replaced.

During regeneration of the diesel particulate filter the truck loses power and operates roughly. This last occurred as i was merging into traffic on the highway during slick road conditions. This could have very easily resulted in loss of traction and/or collision as i was unable to accelerate to speed.

I was driving out of state (ny) when an alert stated "low fuel pressure) and the vehicle slowed to 5-10 mph while traveling on the interstate. Upon exiting, the vehicle stopped running leaving me and my familystranded. I had it towed to a local shop which informed me the bosch high pressure fuel pump was not delivering the required pressure (/,000 psi). Upon contacting the ford dealership where the vehicle was purchased, i was informed the vehicle exceeded warranty miles (100,000/129,239) and the cost of the pump was $1,245 with exchange prior to labor charges. In all, ford dealer wants nearly $5,000 to repair the pump which was poorly designed.

Faulty radiators in 2015 ford trucks.

Truck started missing and backfiring when accelerating from a stop, lost power assist to brakes, limped 1/2 mile to my house . Engine was clattering , missing, stalling and backfiring. Check engine light on code p0307. Broke #7 valve spring(intake) , lost keepers, dropped valve , which piston hit, ford dealer say it needs an engine for $10,300.00 and no coverage at 69,000. Broken valve springs are a known problem . Dangerous when you lose power assist to brake pedal because of no vacuum. Request ford service to assist because springs are defective

I have a f350 2015 vehicle, having an engine knock noise and hesitation problems right after the engine knocks. I have experienced these concerns five times.the dealership is saying is a characteristic of the vehicle due to california regulations.there is a tsb to the concern that i am having, but i don't think my vehicle should have the heads rebuilt since i just purchased it back in dec 2015.what is the state doing to have this concern resolve?i brought it in two days ago to the dealership and since after the 4th time of the engine knocked the check engine light came on they ended up replacing a sensor.i picked up the vehicle from the dealership yesterday and on my way home, the engine knocks to happen again. I am waiting on fmc to call me and tell me what they are going to do now. The vehicle has two other problems a windshield noise at 60 to 70 miles per hour on windy days. They resealed the windshield the problem exists.they are telling me, that unless they duplicate the issue, they can't do anything.i showed them a video that i recorded during the concernhappening, but they are ignoring it.i showed them a video that someone else posted on you tube same concern.however, since they cannotduplicate they cannotdo anything that is their answer.i also have a problem of the transmission, harsh shift as slow speeds same thing can't duplicate is what the work order from the dealership states.what can i do to have this vehicle looked at for the concerns i am having?it has been in the dealership four times since i bought it.

Turbocharger intercooler hose blew of while driving causing a loud explosive noise and lost of compression almost causing a crash.i was on a multi-lane highway and it created a safety hazard

Def heater failed. Ford has a customer satisfaction campaign, but my vehicle is not included.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-350. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle stalled and the engine reduction warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the high pressure fuel pump needed to be repaired. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer (dunning motor sales, 9108 southgate rd, cambridge, oh 43725, (740) 439-4465) where it was diagnosed that the high pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case numbers: cas15099236 and cas15365409. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 73,000.

Exhaust fluid message on dash that speed will be limited to in 50 miles.went and bought a new jug of blue def.it took 2 gallons to fill to running over.then before i got to the kenai, ak dealer, it says engine will idle upon restart.the kenai, ak dealer said up and down stream nox sensors had failed and reset the codes.15 miles later, i get and "exhaust system failure" engine will idle soon.made it home(40 miles at 10pm and raining) then it says engine idled, check operator manual.basically it thinks my def tank is empty, but it has only 75 miles on a completely full tank.

During regeneration of the diesel particulate filter the truck loses power and operates roughly. This last occurred as i was merging into traffic on the highway during slick road conditions. This could have very easily resulted in loss of traction and/or collision as i was unable to accelerate to speed.

Would not regenerate when required.went into filter full service now mode.then check engine light came on.

Def tank filled at 7300 miles.at 9600 miles a "exhaust fluid low" 50 miles til engine idle.picked up exhaust fluid and refilled-only 2 gals added to overflowing.did not reset, went to stanley ford kenai, ak.countdown went on, then"engine idle at next restart"dealer says to bad nox sensors, replaced andcodes cleared.15 miles later, exhaust system failure" engine will idle soon"fortunately i made it home in the dark and 40 miles in the rain.now it has gone into the "engine idle" mode and "check your manual"dealer called, tow truck called, soon to be going back to dealer.

Recurring problem for ford super duty that needs to be extended for this model as it is the same problem that previous attention was given to. It is a emissions problem that fails on these trucks.

Same problem w/ the def heating unit as on earlier/similar f-series trucks that have compelled ford to issue extended warranty (see customer satisfaction program 18m01) -- a dtc208a error comes up, indicating failure in the def sender/heater. Not clear why ford is omitting the 2015 f350 powerstrokes when they're using the same part and built in the same factory as the models that have had the warranty extended.

I own a 2015 ford f-350sd with approximately 42,000 miles that i bought from the ford dealer in september of 2018.so, i haven't even owned the truck a year yet.on july 12, 2019 i was driving down i15 headed to a camping trip.all of a sudden, my check engine light came on and then a message saying reduced engine power and my truck went from 70mph to 5mph and just barely got me off the interstate.i had the truck towed to the ford dealer where i purchased it.they diagnosed it and said there's metal throughout the fuel system, the hpfp is going bad and wearing out, there is also rust and water in the fuel rail.in order to fix the problem, the bill will be a little over $11,000.in december right after i bought the truck, i took it into the ford dealer and had them fully service the truck, check the oil, change both fuel filters, etc.i have all receipts to show ford that i have maintained the truck.i have fully maintained the truck and have drained the water separator monthly since i purchased the truck.i have done everything on my part to make sure the truck is well cared for and maintained.i have now been fighting with ford corporate for 5 weeks now and they are saying this issue isn't covered by warranty.it's a shame that you buy a truck from the ford dealer with a 100,000 mile warranty and now ford is claiming that this issue isn't covered by warranty.this is a known faulty fuel pump that wears out prematurely and is costing consumers tens of thousands of dollars to repair and ford will not stand behind their warranty!this is a shame and ridiculous on fords end!

Exhaustfilter cleaning when that warning comes on my trucksengine is really rough and shakes. This is when driving to clear the exhaust filter.

On my 2115 ford f 350 powerstroke diesel the check engine light came on and it de rated the power. I read the cel code and its pb20a which is a redactant heater performance failure. My truck meets the date and manufacturing plant criteria and it is no drivable because of this emissions control part failure. The redacdant heater keeps the diesel exhaust fluid from freezing and renders the vehicle un drivable when it falis.

Have to rev gas paddle onvehicle to take off..vehicle also stalls while driving down the highway..

The car couldn't drive on highway, smoke and huge transmission fluid leakage, towed to the nearest ford dealerdealer note "inspected and found broken trans cooler line causing concern, replaced trans cooler lines, cleaned off, topped off fluid and road tested, ok"ford f-350 2015, odometer 4065 miles

Episodes of violent shaking and poor engine performance during regenaration. This has been a on going issue. Ford claims it is cause by the computer and a reprogram will be out in march 2016. I feel the truck is unsafe to drive specially on icy roads.

After placing the vehicle in park i left to go into a building.on my return the vehicle was gone and was found down the block and was involved in an accident.it apparently drove off on it's own.video of the accident confirmed that no one was driving.as the driver,i did put the vehicle in park and could not figure out what happened.the parking break was not applied.the only conclusion was that some how the vehicle slipped into gear.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-350. While driving 55 mph and making a left turn, the vehicle shook and the check engine indicator illuminated. The contact diagnosed the vehicle and stated that it needed a reductant heater control. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle did not meet the criteria for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.

My truck started doing the death wobble within the first year of ownership. I owned a ford dealership from 1993 to 1998. I've been driving f350 trucks gor 40 years. This is totally unacceptable. This is a major safety hazard. Ford must do something to gix the problem.while driving on i80 while going 70 miles an hour i hit a small lip on the bridge. I've pretty much quit driving my truck because it is happening more often.

When driving this truck on highway at 70-75mph, the truck hits a small bump and goes into an extreme death wobble. It is almost impossible to get it back under control. It happened twice in one night of driving. Upon research, it is a common issue among ford super duties and needs to be addressed. It is not safe whatsoever. The truck is completely stock with 47,000 miles. Https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-t67905_ds972988

The truck gets the death wobbles so bad its uncontrollable.. Has done this since i have owned the truck.

I was towing a trailer on a hwy 52 in colorado when i hit a small bump in the road.the truck began to shake violently i lost control and went in too the other lane it shook until i came to complete stop. It has done it 5 times since then i honesty don't want to drive the truck any more. The truck only has 37k miles on it and new shock and steering damper. This needs to be resolved i did a google search on this there have been multiple cases just like mine google death wobble. Some one is going to get hurt this is a safety concern.

The truck has the death wooble. I thought we were going to wreck every time it happens. Going 30+ mph hour and hit a bump the front wheels and sterring wheel wooble, vibrate uncontrollably.

2015 f350 4x4 6.7we tow a 12k trailer gooseneck. This problem occures loaded and unloaded. Any bump over 50 mph on the driver tire will cause a violent shake that will persist though acceleration steering inputs and braking, soft or hard. Only slowing to below 45 sometimes 35 will stop the shaking. During the shake steering is nearly impossible, and attpeting to keep straight resulted in twisting the steering wheel out of alignment.thus far we have replaced steering stabalizer. Track bar, and assosiated bushing and ball joint, tires, multiple alignments, sway bar links, balljoints, shocks.each repair makes the problem seemingly better for a time but within a week it returns.we are a danger on the road and have sense stopped driving until a hard resolution is found.

The truck starts shaking especially bad in the steering wheel also know as the death wobble when i get up to 50mph and faster. Also has a hopping feeling around 42 to 45 mph. The speed and effects are the same no matter what road i'm on.

At highway speeds, the front end begins to osculate or bounce from right wheel to left wheel in a rapid motion commonly known as the "death wobble". This truck has been to ford dealership 5 times without making the problem any better. Possibly it has gotten worse after the visits. The wobble severely diminishes control of the 9500lb vehicle and has caused me to dodge into barricaded construction zones among other dangerous maneuvers, to gain control. I have posted videos on you tube showing 6 instances (i have many more) of the wobble and belong to a rapidly growing group of thousands of ford owners with the same problem.this issue typically takes place at highway speeds when un-even pavement is driven over and the left & right wheel do not hit the bump at the exact same time. Examples would be a bridge transition at a 20-30^ angle or just dilapidated top layer of asphalt. Especially prone to activation when the road is curving left and the driver side front wheel hits a small bump.

Death wobblegoing at high rate of speed on interstate and truck began to wobble violently after hitting bump on road, only fixed by extreme slowing down. This is an unacceptable issue that ford needs to fix, i had my family in truck at time.

While accelerating to merge onto the highway this morning i hit a bump this caused the truck to start to wobble violently. I put on the brakes to slow the vehicle but it continued to wobble until i pulled to the shoulder of the highway. It nearly caused a accident. Scared me to death. I know others have had the same issue. Please do something about this before someone dies!

My truck has 103,000 miles on it and it has started violently shaking when i hit even minor bumps or transitions/seams in road, from pavement/bridges/overpasses. It's extremely hard to hold the steering wheel to control the vehicle, when the steeringwheel moves rapidly 4-6' back and forth while shaking. I'm afraid of losing control or causing an accident. It will not stop shaking until i slow down to 35 mph, and that is extremely difficult in 75 mph traffic, from center lanes, and very often there is no shoulder to slow down onto, when i'm on a bridge or top of overpass. It has happened at speeds as low as 55 mph, can be triggered by a pot hole, & any bumps in the pavement.this happens while driving on the highway or any road over 55 mph. It happened the first time 6/21/20 and has happened now every single time we drive it. I have captured this happening on videos twice now. Today is 8/9/20 and it happened 3 times in 24 miles today. If i die on the side of the road, i obviously would not be in able to tell anyone that this was actively happening. They would say i had 'failure to control vehicle'. I have taken to shop and had multiple suspension parts replaced and it's still happening, zero improvement. Now i'm taking it back to a mechanic tomorrow to see what else we can do. This vehicle is not paid for yet, it's out of warranty, and i'm extremely scared to even drive it. This cannot be captured in a picture, you need to see the 2 videos i took of this happening today.

I have a 2015 f350 with 24881 miles on it.i have experienced the "death wobble" i have read about in recent lawsuit news on the ford trucks a handful of times on the highway.the truck will start shaking violently and i had to slow down drastically to get it to stop.i use this truck mainly to tow my boat and is completely in stock form.this isn't something that should be happening to a 65k sticker truck with low miles and poses a serious danger.

Steering wheel will randomly stick when turning right or left. When this happens it feels like flat tire and you have to muscle the steering wheel back the opposite way and then you can't control that. Just had front end rebuilt at tri-state ford in maryville missouri where we purchased it new and didn't fix the problem. Done it 3 times yesterday april 19 2018 almost causing us the hit another vehicle. At a stop sign turning left it stuck causing us to veer into opposing lane in front of another vehicle. Fought to correct this and then it caused us to shoot back right onto the shoulder. We spent almost $1,200 dollars to fix this issue and it has not been corrected and of course it's not under warranty 😡

While driving on 4 lane highway at 70 mph, i encountered the death wobble.i immediately had to brake as there was an 18 wheeler coming up on the passing lane. This happened twice on this stretch of highway. After reading all the issues regarding the death wobble, its time ford does a recall before there is a death and ford gets a lawsuit.

When traveling on a highway above 60 mph the vehicle can develop a violent front end shimmy after hitting a small bump, pothole, or bridge transition.upon research, this has been identified as a ford superduty death wobble. I have had it to the dealer already twice, and so far after spending $855 and now they are asking for $670 more to fix a problem that they cannot guarantee will be resolved. This issue is well documented online and i am very worried with my safety and the safety of the cars around me when this vibration occurs. The only to regain control, is to rapidly slow to ~ 40mph. This in itself is dangerous in 5 lane city traffic during rush hour.please contact me at [xxx] as proof that this report has been viewed.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

When driving down the highway at 70 mph, i hit a bump and the steering wheel started shaking violently causing me to almost lose control of the vehicle.

Death wobble. When the truck hits a bump or even just a rough road at 60 mph or higher the steering is uncontrollable until i slow down to 20 mph. It shakes violently and is dangerous, i have to slow down even when i'm on the freeway and cars have to take action to prevent an accident. This is life threatening

This is not an isolated incident with our trucks, it's a nationwide problem that is very very dangerous. In a 10 mile ride it would happen 3-4x at 70 to 75mph hitting the slightest bump, the truck would violently shake. I would have to slow down to 20 mph for it to stop. Very difficult on a highway,

My 2015 is experiencing the death wobble! it's when the pickup starts shaking violently and you can't hang on to the steering wheel! with that being said i have put on new shocks, replaced the track bar, new steering stabilizer shock, new shocks, going to get a third alignment, and new tires and still have the death wobble! the rest of the front end is in good shape! i'm just asking for some help from ford! thank you!

When traveling at 65 mph or greater and hit a bump the steering starts doing a violent wobble where i need to slow down to approximate 2025 miles an hour to regain control of the truck this has happened weiss while transitioning on the freeway at expansion joints

Multiple times: front end violent shake pulling steering wheel from hands and loosing control at 70 mph. Slammed on brakes just before i hit the center concrete barrier on highway. Driving over a manhole cover on road at 30 mph sent front end again into a built shake causing loss of steering and into oncoming traffic till was able to brake and stop vehicle. Drive great till next bump in road. 11 diesel techs cannot figure out what is wrong! this truck is going to kill someone, what is wrong with it????replaced tie rods, track bars, ball joints, wheel bearing, steering dampener, shocks, multiple alignments, caster bolts, ... $4800... In parts and labor so far and continues the exact same death wobble trap!

Between 65 mph and 80 mph the whole truck starts shaking if you come across uneven surfaces causing the truck to almost become uncontrollable speeds have to be reduced to 30 mph to regain control i have had alignments new tires and have had all steering and suspension parts inspected everything is tight apon research several ford owners seem to be having the same issue and no one is not even ford is trying to correct this issue. Vahical millage at 105,000

Death wobble many times.vehicle is completely out of control.not cool in heavy traffic on way to boston (65 mph).tires are properly inflated.vehicle has been having problem since 45,000 miles and now has 55,000 miles on it.dealer has only made "suggestions" on what to do to correct problem.worried i will be killed or kill someone when driving this vehicle.

When you get past 48 miles per hour the front end/steer shakes noticeably. Also, when you hit a bump/hole in the road it shakes so bad we have to pull over now. In calling to get it fixed the ford repairman knew what we were talking about before we said anything, but stated there was no recall on it?? its dangerous!

I own a 2015 f350 superduty. I have noticedhighway driving at 50 mph or higher when crossing over a transition in the road the front end suspension/steering can go into a violent shimming that can only be overcome by a rapid deacceleration to less ~30mph. There have been times that the shimming is so violent its had to control the vehicle. Yesterday, crossing over a bride on rt 222 south in lancaster co penna, the truck crossed a transition a the end of a bridge. It was all i could do to regain control of the vehicle while other cars had to swerve to miss hitting me as my truck was in this resonance until i could get it under control. This only occurs so far above 50mph, but, it is much more common at 65-70mph. I am taking the truck back to the dealer again for another evaluation. This situation developed at ~ 76,000 miles. The truck has 92,000 miles now. Upon further investigation into the event online i was able to determine that this has been identified as the "ford superduty death wobble." i asked the dealer about this term and they said that they have had this situation on quite a few ford f250-f350 vehicles. I no longer feel very safe driving a $72,000 vehicle that is known to have a death wobble, which as an engineer, would appear to be a direct result of an inadequate design by the oem. I believe we need the governments help resolving this situation since ford denies the existence of this common situation.

While driving about 65-70 mph, i drove over an overpass transition on i-69 in houston, which was the equivalent of a small bump, and the truck began shaking violently.all loose belongings in the truck were slung around in the cab and eventually landed on the floor, including the driver area.the vehicle was hard to control, and other vehicles cleared away from me. The vehicle was hard to keep within my lane, and i swerved out of control from one lane to another.my wife drove the truck about 3 days later, and a very similar event occurred at a speed of about 55 mph on a texas highway north of houston. She said the truck was very hard to control, and she was very rattled during the event.at work, we have many for super duties in our fleet, and the majority of those trucks have had similar issues, with less than 25k miles on the new trucks. We have added dual steering dampers to the fleet trucks and have not had an issue since.ford's fix for the problem lasted 2-3k miles, and then the same problem returned. They replaced the steering damper with an oem steering damper.

When traveling at highway speeds and hit a inconsistent place in the pavement the vehicle gets a death wobble. The steering wheel shakes violently back and forth and the front of the truck bounces on the ground. When the brakes are applied the wobble gets worse so the vehicle has to slow down on its own without applying the brakes. The shaking will stop around 23-28 miles per hour. I have had this happen 6 different times and the vehicle is very hard to keep on the road while it is happening. This is definitely an issue that needs to be addressed. I have slowly been having an ase certified mechanic replacing front end parts to try and fix the problem with no success. I try to avoid driving the truck due to this issue which has happened for the last year. I have videos on my dash camera when this happens. The last time it actually knocked the camera off the window. I know alot of ford truck people and everyone is having the same issue.

This truck is extremely dangerous.it has the infamous ford death wobble.when you go across a slight transition or bump at 55-70 mph, the truck goes into a violent wobble in the steering that wont stop until you slow down to 30 or so mph.ive had several parts replaced on the front end and nothing works. From online forums, ive recently learned that ford is ignoring the problem.please take action because i almost had 2 collisions traveling on the interstate

While making turns you are unable to turn wheel back straight as it locks up in city driving. Was told by ford dealer where we bought truck new that we needed track bar bushing and ball joints. Drag link bar. Tie rod end replacement both outer tie rods. This has been and issue for several of our friends also but they caught there's under warranty.

The most common term for my problem is called a death wobble. I am spent a lot of money replacing parts to fix the truck only to learn that thousands of other people have the same problem. To date ford has refused to acknowledge or accept any responsibility for this problem. The problem occurs mostly when the truck is between 50 and 70 miles an hour and hits a bump in the road. My truck currently has a hundred and forty-eight thousand miles on it, the problem started approximately at 120000 about 8 months ago.

Already made complaint on this same [xxx] issue and it done it yesterday 6 or 7 times. Turn the wheel and will not return to center. You have to fight the wheel to try and keep control of the truck!it feels as though you have a flat tire and as fast as it happens it comes it stops doing it.parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

When encountering rough pavement while traveling over 50 miles per hour the front suspension develops a major and uncontrollable vibration.the steering wheel shakes back and forth while the truck feels like it's coming apart.keeping the vehicle in a lane is very difficult and the only way to get the shaking to stop is to slow the vehicle down to below 25 miles per hour.the truck only has 55,000 miles on it.this first occurred in october of 2020 while merging onto an interstate, then twice again in january of 2021.in researching this symptom i've read about other owners with similar year super duty trucks with the exact same symptom.it is commonly referred to as the death wobble. A service appointment was scheduled with epic ford in everett washington on february 4th, 2021 to diagnose the problem.this is the dealer who i purchased the truck from.their tech could not replicate the symptom so i returned to the dealer on february 9th 2021 and took the tech for a drive and was able to recreate the failure.on february 24th 2021 the dealer called to say the truck was ready to pick up but they were not able to fix the death wobble and said i should replace my after market dual steering stabilizer.i wholly disagree that this is at the root of the problem as the aftermarket steering stabilizer is only 3 years old and should only reduce the occurrence of front end wobble, not cause it.reluctantly, i agreed to replace this part and picked of the vehicle from the dealer on february 25th 2021.there was a general lack of concern for my safety, my family's safety and for the safety of others on the road.i will pursue a repair outside of the dealer's service network.from my research, this is far too common of an issue with these vehicles, people have been injured and ford should be doing something about the failures before someone looses their life.

My truck is experiencing the "death wobble" with only 60k miles on it. When i hit a bump going more then 50 mph the front wheel shake violently until i slow down. I am unable to control the steering wheel.

This truck has an occasional wobble that causes the vehicle to be uncontrollable when in motion, speed doesn't appear to be a major factor. My local dealership has told me this is prevalent on most all super duty pickups from about 2010 to present. I would like to know why this has not been a nhtsb issue for a recall as this is definitely a safety issue. The dealership informed me, oh yeah we call it the death wobble. I would appreciate it if you could look into as to just how prevalent this is and what ford is doing to fix it. This problem started over a year ago.thank you[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Paint chiping, after one year of normal driving

The entire body of thetraffic is speckled with rust . The electrical system has the same issues that we have taken to the dealership repeatedly with automatic start and they cannot fix it also it tells us other things are wrong that or not . We keep taking it back but they keep telling us it's fixed minutes not.

When driving the vehicle, the rear violently bounces over 50 mph.if the vehicle hits a bump in the road, the vehicle is very difficult to control at high speed; especially on the expressway. I have hit a pothole on the expressway and almost lost control of the truck on several occasions, especially on a curve in the road. If the road has bumps or dips the truck bounces so violently i almost lose control of the truck.

2015 ford f350 super duty, full size bed. This truck will bounce like crazy on the highway if it is concrete, or asphalt covered concrete. It starts about 60mph and if i speed up it will go away at about 75mph. This bounce is very frustrating and makes me upset, mad and embarrassed that such a nice truck that cost so much money would have this issue.it is not just my truck, by far there are many, many, many of them with this issue and not limited to late or early model trucks. Search google for this issue and you will be as surprised as i was to how many there are and how long this has been going on!!!i have replaced the shocks with bilstein shocks, added 2" leveling kit to front springs, replaced steering damper shock with bilstein also, changed tires and rims 3 different times with no change in issue.the only thing that changed with the new bilstein shocks was not good either- now with the new shocks on the truck bounces more and sooner with my medium sized dump trailer connected. Before the shock change, if there was a load in the bed or trailer connected there was no bounce to deal with.i love this truck and have spent lots of money on making it look great, now i want it to ride and drive great also.i got a pretty good deal on this truck last year at a car lot, now i am understanding why!!!! i am sure this truck was traded in after many attempts from the dealer to fix this issue and they could not.i feel like ford has really let us down here, i have owned many work trucks and vans and never had an issue like this.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-350. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced the death wobble. The contact stated that the speeds was reduced and the failure was eliminated. The vehicle was taken to ford store (17045 condit rd morgan hill, ca 95037, (408) 782-8201) where an unknown repair to the front suspension was performed however, the failure recurred. The contact called back and rescheduled another appointment for the vehicle to be repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 162,000.*dt

Vehicle is a 2015 ford f350 dually with 36, 875 miles on it. Vehicle starts to violently shake at approximately 30-40 miles per hour on a city street. Wobble gets excessively worse at higher speeds such as driving on the interstate. After noticing the problem i stopped driving the vehicle. This week 4 oct, i took vehicle to ourisman ford in alexandria, va to have vehicle checked out. They recommended replacing drag link inner and outer, drag link track bard and joint and steering shock dampner. Got second opinion from malloy ford of anandale, va, they recommended replacing all of the above but also recommended replacing both lower tie rods and an alignment. The service director at malloy ford john pitts is the person that informed that this is a known occurence in these vehicles and called it a "death wobble". Costs for these repairs is roughly $2100. I have reached out to ford customer care concering this issue and was told there is nothing they can do, that this is normal wear and tear. Spoke with customer care manager amanda on 7 oct and she stated although she understood my concerns that it was my problem and there was nothing that they could do. She stated this issue could be caused from driving on rough roads and hitting pot holes. I explained that the truck has never been taken off road and i bearly drive it, hince only 36, 875 miles in 5 years. She stated there was nothing to be done on her end and told me to have a nice day.

While driving on the freeway, exiting onto the off ramp, the rut in the road caused my whole front end to shake uncontrollably.i could barely keep the vehicle on the road and almost collided with the sound wall adjacent to the off ramp.the severe shaking lasts until my vehicles slows significantly, as in the 15-20 mph range.which is less than ideal on a major freeway!!!!! this is the fourth time this has happened in the past few weeks.research on the internet revealed to me that this apparently is a known problem with this particular vehicle model.i finally was wise enough to take it to my local ford dealership, wherein a mechanic told me that it is a known problem by ford, which the dealerships cover only when one is brought in with issues. Not shocking to me however, the ford dealership just told me that the suspension issues was caused by "wear" and it is out of my pocket to repair.it has 35,000 miles on it!is this indeed a wide spread issue?my wife will no longer drive with me, or allow my kids in the vehicle, because she was in the truck on two of the occasions and she told me she would like to live!!!!!

When traveling at highway speeds vehicle begins to bounce. The bounce is clearly coming from rear end of vehicle. I have done some research into the issue and have found other year have had this issue and is solved by a damper attached to the trailer hitch.

2015 ford f-350 super duty truck.at highway speed, after going over an overpass on the highway, the steering wheel and whole vehicle began shaking uncontrollably.it stopped as i was slowing down and pulling off the highway onto the shoulder.it did it to me again 4 miles later.i was told i experienced what's known as the "ford death wobble".

After hitting very small bumps is the road my truck shook so violently that i could not control it. I had my two little girls in the back and they where very scared. After taking my truck to my mechanic i was made aware of this being a big issue with ford trucks, apparently it is called the "death wobble". I completely understand why they call it that. My truck has under 100,000 miles and when this first happened my truck only had around 60k miles on it. Ford has not maintenance recommendations to replace suspension parts at 60k miles. There should not be any suspension issues on a vehicle with only 60k miles. This is very dangerous. Not only can the vehicle not be controlled but this happens on highways and interstates and can cause a huge accident. From time to time i tow a 5th wheel rv that weighs 13,452 when it is empty. Does somebody need to die because nobody wants to do anything about this very serious issue? i am reporting this now because i previously did not know things like this could be reported to a government agency.

When traveling on the highway/interstate if one of the front tires hits a bump the whole front end shakes terribly. The only way to stop it is to slow way down below 50 mph which obviously is dangerous when other vehicles are traveling up to 20 mph faster.

Vehicle wobbles violently above approximately 50mph and when go over slight bump or uneven road surface. Have to slow down rapidly almost to a stop for the violent wobbling to stop. Also wobbles slightly at low speed. This has happened multiple times now. Took it in to the dealer the first time it happened, while it was still under warranty, but the dealer said it was not a big deal and they did not have time to fix it.

At speeds over 50 miles per hour going over bumps the steering wheel shakes violently. Also occurs during hard breaking.

I am not sure what the issue is with the truck; however, the vehicle begins to shake out of control while you are driving it down the road.you almost have to come to a stop to make the violent shaking end.the truck has been to chenoweth ford in clarksburg, wv for repairs, but the issue still remains.i have been a passenger in the truck when the shaking has occurred, and if i had been the driver, i do not know if i would have been able to have commanded control of the vehicle.i have read that on the internet that this is called the "death shake" and is common in ford pickups.something needs to be done to remedy this issue before lives are taken.

Supposed death wobble experience.truck started to violently shake while on the interstate and caused a loss of control almost causing a major accident.thankfully the semi driver next to me saw the front wheel start shaking violently and started to brake.semi had to lock up his brakes due to the fact i was violently shaking and could not keep the truck in my lane and came across lanes of traffic uncontrollably.avoiding an accident by inches, brought the truck to a stop on the side of the road and then looked it over.everything appears to be fine, but now very cautious to drive at highway speeds.when this occurred i had no control of the truck but to try and not get it to go sideways.i have been driving vehicles for years including emergency and semi trucks and have never experienced anything like this.now it is scary to even drive the truck and my wife won't get behind the wheel now.hit a slight bump on the highway and the truck would not recover until stopped.we are thankful not to be sitting in a hospital or even worse!!

Vehicle had been sitting for a few days and the driver was starting the vehicle.upon starting, the driver noticed flames and smoke coming out from underthe hood immediately.nothing seemed out of the ordinary before the flames andsmoke were noticed.flames were coming from under the hood next to thewindshield.driver then shut the vehicle off, popped the hood release, andsprayed 2 fire extinguishers under the hood and on the motor extinguishing theflames.then 911 was called.

The truck has the death wooble. I thought we were going to wreck every time it happens. Going 30+ mph hour and hit a bump the front wheels and sterring wheel wooble, vibrate uncontrollably.

Death wobblegoing at high rate of speed on interstate and truck began to wobble violently after hitting bump on road, only fixed by extreme slowing down. This is an unacceptable issue that ford needs to fix, i had my family in truck at time.

Front windshield has air coming in making a hmmmmm sound at highway speeds.afraid with enough wind, windshield may pop off.

An oahu, hawaii us government worker got in his f-350 super duty xl driver seat at 1000 hrs, 14 oct 2017, shut the door normally and the back window shattered.there was a witness watching the incident who backs-up the claim that the back window shattered as stated above/the back window broke with no apparent cause.

Owing a diesel pick-up we have to add cetane booster to every tank of fuel to boost the cetane percentage to keep the engine operating at peak performance. I use only "motorcraft cetane booster & performance improver', it comes in a 20 oz bottle.the issue is there's a round cardboard under the cap that's supposed to stay there to prevent it from leaking, it doesn't. It sticks to the bottle and if you aren't paying attention it will go into your fuel tank and get stuck in the fuel pump and shut down the truck. It happen to me while driving. I was stranded 3 times till i found a ford dealership who could figure it out. I look online and it's happened many times to other owners and ford won't do anything about it. I had to pay for a tow and the labor to get it repaired. It's thousands of dollars and dangerous. The truck will go into limp mode then shut off. Thank god i was on a 35 mph road. If i was on the freeway driving at 70 the power steering and the power breaking will shut off, super hard to control, very dangerous. The truck weighs about 6,500 lbs. . i've read online it has happened a lot. Ford needs to stand behind their product and create a bottle that doesn't fall apart. If my wife was driving the truck in traffic somebody could have been hurt or killed.thank you,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-350. The contact stated that the windshield wipers remained activated and would not turn off. The dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall. The failure mileage was 5,000.
