Shortly after buying 2014 superduty f350 crew cab diesel used truck in june 2017,airbag lights started coming on and off.was told they airbags not activate if we were in accident.dealer who sold it to us did not offer any help, dealer near us could not locate problem since airbag lights went off and oncould not locate issue, tried replacing driver side module, no luck.months later dealer traced problem byremoving steering wheel and airbag, and replacing the "sliding contact".we had to drive truck 5 months without the safety of aibags.

Around 25,000 miles the front airbag light stayed on.it went off after driving a few miles.then on a long trip is came on again and hasn't gone off---mileage is 33280.this truck has not been in a colision, wreck or anything.its been babied since new.light came on while driving.on the hiway. Apim sync module went out. This module services several components and has been issue in multiple models. Out of warranty by a year. Have to pay out of pocket. Blue def tank heating element causes check engine light. This is part of exhaust. Should be addressed.

Nox sensor and module failure.did not leave us abandoned, but if it was 1 week later, it would have left us on the highway on a weekend with no way to fix.recalls for software updates cover up to 2013, but not this2014 truck.this sensor failure should not leave the truck practically disabled.

On march 3rd, 2016 i started driving from pa to nd on i-90/94 during the day with the headlights on.there was light snow and drizzle and somewhere along the route the exterior lights failed and would not come back on.as i continued on my trip and about 3 to 4 hours later after driving in dry weather the lightsstarted working again.the same thing happened the following day as i continued between chicago and nd. Once again it was wet weather and again the exterior lights failed and would not come on for several hours after driving in dry weather again.fortunately i was driving in daylight hours instead of night time but if it had been during the night and the lights failed it probably would have caused a serious accident.

The contact owns a 2014 ford f-350. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle lost power and stalled without warning. The failure recurred multiple times. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that water in the fuel filter caused the fuel pump to fail. As a result, metal shavings were sent throughout the fuel system and caused the vehicle to stall. The fuel pump, filter, and injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and informed the contact that his phone call to them would also be filed with nhtsa and ftc. The manufacturer also denied the contact's warranty and instructed him to bill his insurance company for the repairs. The dealer was made aware of the manufacturer's statement and stated that ford should be covering the repair. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000.

Eng light came onsaid the truck was not going to be able to go over 50 mi. Hrthen after a while it said it would only run at an idle. This is very dangerous on a interstate highway where vehicles are going 70-80 mi. Hr.

When driving down the highway interstate 25 in colorado. Traveling approximately 75 mph. I experienced severe vibration in the front end of the truck. Vibration would not go away until i slowed to almost a complete stop. This only happened after i hit a bump on the highway causing the front end to start vibrating and it progressively got worse.i recently had two of my tire rods changed new brakes put on the truck in my tires rotated and properly inflated. These cannot be causing the problem there must be something else happening.

Front differential axle yoke shattered. Others with same truck also suffered failure. Forddenied responsibility, but too many other owners experience potential life safety failures in motion.

Transmission jumps out of gear while driving.it happens both in tow/haul mode hauling my camper and in regular mode driving

The contact owns a 2014 ford f-350. While driving approximately 25 mph, an abnormal noise emitted from the vehicle. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle resumed normal operation. The dealer diagnosed that the dry wheel needed to be lubricated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable. Updated 01/05/14*ljthe consumer stated the vehicle has an antilock braking system that was inadvertently turned off. This has happened with or without the brake pedal being depressed. After being repaired multiple times, the failure recurred. Updated 05/20/2015

Had a loaded trailer of about 10,000 lbs had truck in four wheel drive, had both feet on brake.truck was stopped on a decline. Shifted truck to reverse and the brakes failed.the trailer brakes also went out.truck went over a hill pushed by the weight of the trailer.i believe this has happened 2 other times but one time i thought it was ice and the other it was new and i thought it was my error.ford refuses to acknowledge the defect unless they can duplicate it.

2014 f350 crew cab w/long bed dieseli parked on sloped driveway with snow under passenger tires. I placed in park but did not set parking brake.walked away from vehicle and in about 5 minutes the truck rolled down driveway 12 feet. The two drivers wheels were both rolling, i'm not sure if passenger wheels rolled or slid.why does the transmission (in park ) allow those drivers side wheels to roll? is this normal?

Few hours back driving my 2014 f350 super duty 6.7 turbo diesel 4x4 platinum msrp about $70,000 dangerously started wobbling after hitting a road bumb at about 48mph. Very dangerous could've resulted in a serious accident. Luckily not much traffic.

13nov2020 at 10:30-hwhile vehicle is in motion at speeds 50-55 and higher the steering wheel shakes so violently that safe control of vehicle is lost until vehicle is completely stopped. This steering vibration problem can be found at numerous places on the internet and ford is already aware of problem. The most likely place for the dangerous loss of steering control is when vehicle crosses over a non-parallel bridge expansion joint. This vehicle is one of multiple vehicles in the fleet with same problem. Cruising at 65mph, hit pavement transition, front end, steering wheel started violently shaking, lost control, crossed from left lane across right lane, shoulder and into ditch. Shook so hard the left mirror folded back and the right mirror extended, body plug fell out from under dash and landed in passenger front floor. Tires are in good condition, has 46000 miles on it. Dealer said i need to pay to add aftermarket steering parts?

Truck goes into a death wobble in the front end without warning.change lanes, hit rough spot, or different texture road surface.you never know. Have replace front steering and sususpension parts.still comes in.have heard from other owners that are experiencing the same thing.ford has some tib out and attempts to fix it, but you never know when it will come back.someone's going to get killed or injured.it is a severe problem and comes without warning. Will come in at mostly 45 mph or higher speed.turning doesn't seem to help it.only slowing to a very slow or stop will correct it.

While traveling at interstate speed of 60-70 mph my f350will start violently shaking, what is commonly know as the death wobble.it can only be stopped by sharply braking the vehicle.i have experienced this violent shaking more than 20 times during the last two years. I have had several different vendors recommend and make repairs. For example, u-joint, stabilizer shock, tie rods, shocks, alignment.i continue to have incidences with the front going out of control.very concerned for my safety and the safety of others on the road because of the need to brake in order to bring the shaking under control. This is a common problem for the ford f250 and f350 and i am at a loss that it is not identified for a recall to ensure the safety of owners and other traveling on

At highway speed i hit a bump on the freeway. The front end of the truck immediately began to shudder violently and uncontrollably. I removed my foot from the accelerator and coasted once the vehicle speed reduces to about 45mph the shudder stopped. This has happened before but only lasts 1 or 2 seconds.

Had the truck at the dealership numerous times for 'death wobble' when traveling at or above 50 miles per hour. Wobble also starts with bumps and groves in the road. Ford dealership stated they could not fix the issue and did not know how. Since then the issue has yet to be resolved costing me a lot of money out of pocket and driving daily to work in a vehicle i feel is unsafe.

While driving front end wobbles violently when you hit a bump. Truck is hard to hang on to and steer. I've read several threads that this is common. This is crazy that there has not been a recall. I'm not happy i've replace mine 3 times and it's doing it again. I bought this truck brand new.

2014 f-350 front end / steering shaking known as the death wobble.only way to stop the shaking was to reduce speed under 50 mph.this has previously occurred in 8/2018 with approx 116k miles on the truck.vehicle was checked more than once at service location, including brakes, tires, alignment,...but could not find a problem.different "fixes" were tried, which included track bar and tie rod replacement.after 2nd track bar and ball joint replacement, issue seemed to be resolved.however, the death wobble has returned.current mileage is no approx 175k miles.this is a known issue by ford, yet there have been no recalls to fix the issue.truck will be returning to repair facility this week, costing more money out of my pocket, to hopefully put another band-aid on the problem.

"death wobble"...severe...so far 9 times!!! 8 times while traveling at 70+ mph and once at 45. Usually happens when on a slight turn to the left and meets a small to medium bump as you pass over a bridge to road connection for example! a small chug hole will set it off too! welcome to houston! so far it has never happened on a straight away...fingers crossed.in my work i tow a 36' travel trailer racking up about 40-60 thousand miles a year!again...so far it has not happened while towing! my expenses are adding up trying to repair the problem...replaced the track bar, shocks, stabilizer damper and had the wheels balanced and rotated...nothing so far has worked!every mechanic i have been to all are guessing at a solution...youtube is full of videos on solutions but you need to have pretty deep pockets to try them all...none are definitive! as a gm guy all my life i decided to buy a 2014 ford f350 heavy duty 4 wheel drive. The truck is beautiful inside and out! i love the styling much better than chevy or dodge! big mistake! after hearing countless advertising commercials drilling into everyone's "built ford tough" i can tell you "fords" advertising is extremely misleading!as an advertising professional i can tell you that "over promising and under delivering" is the kiss of death! not backing up your product is even worse!!! everyone knows bad news travel ten times faster than good!i would be willing to donate a $1000.00 towards a nationwide billboard campaign with one message 'don't buy fords!"!back to gm i go as soon as i can find another sucker to buy this beautiful piece of garbage! however, unlike ford i have a conscience and would not do that.instead i will wait see if your class action lawsuit gains traction and a reasonable solution is reached! good luck to you and count me in!kindest regards, don

Front end starts to shimmy and shutter at around 60 mph. Sometimes for no reason other times after going over a rough spot or bump in the road. Have to bring the truck speed down to under 25mph to get the truck back in control. Problem started around 30,000 miles and continues to this day!

At highway speeds the front end may start a severe wobble of the steering and tires upon hitting a bump or rough section of the road that initiates the wobble.no warning lamps.the only way to stop the wobble is to slow to 20 or 25 mph.this has happened 4 times so far with my 2014 f350 and once with a heavy 5th wheel in tow.safety is severely at risk due to potential loss of control and/or slowing on the freeway which will put nearby drivers at risk of collision.this problem is documented by many ford superduty truck owners.i have not had my vehicle inspected as i understand most that have had expensive repairs done have not had the problem fixed.the first wobble incident occurred with truck mileage at only 18,000 miles - would not expect significant component wear at that low mileage.truck is not used for heavy or rough work - just pleasure and occasional tow of small 5th wheel trailer.

The ford death wobble.violent shaking in wheels and steering wheel. Almost crashed, almost hit by semi truck. Very scary!i was on hwy 80, headed to reno from california.

While driving, if i hit a bump in the road the truck shakes uncontrollably. I have to almost come to a complete stop to regain control. This has happened numerous times on busy highways and on city streets. I have taken the truck back to the ford dealer twice already. They replaced parts, but it didn't fix the problem. This is very dangerous, i have came close to having accidents several times, with my family in the vehicle. I am unsure of the part that is causing, but i think it has something to do with the suspension. I have documentation of when i "had the problem fixed". The work the dealership did, did not fix the problem.

Driving at highway speed, 65 mph, on straight, dry road.hit a medium sized bump and the driver side front wheel began to shake violently.immediately slowed down to about 40 mph at which point the shaking stopped.a few miles down the road hit another medium sized bump and the same violent shaking occurred again.the shaking is so violent that it feels like the front end is about to come off.in doing research online, this is also commonly referred to as "death wobble" and seems to occur on many ford super duty trucks across many model years.this can cause loss of control of a heavy vehicle which may be towing a large trailer as well.a resulting accident with injuries or fatalities would seem to be a certain possibility.this seems to be a prevalent safety issue with these trucks that nhtsa should be made aware of so proper remedial action can be taken.

Front suspension / even after a total rebuild of all front suspension we can not get rid of what we call a death wobble. The steering wheel and front end shake vigorously until we reduce our speed to under 35 miles an hour. This occurs when driving on the highway and you hit a dip of any sort in the road way (bridge crossing, uneven pavement ect) the dealer told me to replace 11 items which i had done in excess of $5,000 but it correct nothing.

Periodically the front end on my 2014 f-350 vehicle shakes violently (death wobble) when encountering bumps on roads at speeds 65 mph and above.the first time it occurred, i took it for repairs to bj ford in liberty, tx.they told me the high tire pressure was causing the problem; according to them, it was adjusted from 70 psi to 60 psi.a few weeks later it happen again and i took it back to bj ford.the third time it happen i took it to friendly ford in crosby, tx where they replaced several items (see attached file) on 08/07/2019.on 8/9/2019 while driving about 65 mph i experience the death wobble again only this time it was the worst yet.i allowed the vehicle to slow down to about 40 mph without applying the brakes.i took it back to friendly ford explaining that the problem still exist and they needed to repair it. Since i have lost confidence it ford's ability to fix the problem, i am now at the point of trading my f-350 in for a f-150, but i still have concerns that the next owner will inherent the same problem since ford can't seems fix it.

Front suspension and steering vibrates violently when hitting a bump in the road at highway speed. This requires hard and immediate application of the brakes to bring the vehicle back under control.

3 times, while driving at highway speeds (55 -70 mph) the truck front end has entered into a violent oscillation, with steering wheel juddering.rapidly slowing to a stop or <25 mph has allowed control of vehicle to be regained.fortunately this has only happened in light traffic and while following a straight road allowing vehicle to be pulled to shoulder.i am not sure what would happen if vehicle was in a turn or in heavy traffic unable to reach the emergency lane. First time this happened i assumed front shocks were bad and had them replace. However this has not fixed the problem as it has happened twice since, after running over expansion joints on a bridge/interstate interface and expansion joint on the road.have since learned this is not an isolated issue unique to my vehicle.

Any time i'm over 60mph and hit a bump or bridge joint the whole truck wobbles dangerously and have to hit the brakes slow down and pull off the side of the road. This has caused me to almost be in a car accident multiple times endangering me, my family, and other drivers on the road. I've taken it in multiple times to the shop and they can't figure out what the issue is. My truck is stock and has never been in an accident before. I have gotten new tires, brakes, and rotors in the process of trying to fix the death wobble and nothing has fixed the problem. I went online and have found multiple people that have experienced the same problem.

We had to call ins to cover exterior damageas a result my brand new tires wore completelyno one seems to want to help

The contact owns a 2014 ford f-350. While driving over 45 mph, the contact struck a bump in the road and both front wheels began to oscillate. Mathews ford marion (1155 delaware ave, marion, oh 43302, (877) 862-5194) was notified, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.

The ford death wobble.violent shaking in wheels and steering wheel. Almost crashed, almost hit by semi truck. Very scary!i was on hwy 80, headed to reno from california.

The truck was bought in march of 2014 as a new model. Since purchase i have lost 3 rear hub cap covers on the dual wheel's. It possibly happened on interstate highways. They are larger covers and a chance a vehicle or pedestrian could be struck by them. The design seems to be flawed and should some how be bolted on so they will not fly off so easy.
