A fire started in the engine compartment while driving 40 mph.dealer was not notified . Feel free to provide any further information.

Our 1994 ford f-350 was destroyed by fire originating at the master cylinder today. There was a small brake fluid leak noticed in this area the other day; but i was unaware of the cruise control shutoff switch danger until after the fire. I have received no notice of a recall for this vehicle.

The wiring harness is not heavy enough to accommodate townig package causing the switch unit behind the headlight knob to get too hot and melt causing a strong smell of burning wire.nlm

Electrical fire on glowplug wiries ends.

Whileenginewas running consumer started changingoil.his hand was inside engine compartment andit was struck/cut, and bruised by the fan.he felt that plastic casing that prevents anything from making contact withengine fan was not designed properly.please provide any additional information / documentation.

The fuel injector pump for my 1994 ford f350 pickup truck has failed for the ofurth time in four years.the engine is a navistar 7.3 liter turbo diesel.i have researched the issue on the internet and found that this engine has a problem with the tolerances for the cam, whch damages the pump.

Third time problem accurred/repaired in last 11 months.ford acknowledges problem with bracket assembly to which tensioner pulley is attached; also notes belt length has been changed to a longer version.inspite of acknowledgement, ford will not cover all costs associated with recurring repair, either current or past.net cost of previous repairs: approx. $600; both failed at under approx 6 months, both with approx 15k miles.current repair cost: $approx $850.safety concern: when pulley fails, belt is thrown resulting in no power steering, brakes, etc.there is no warning signs and potentially dangerous if occurs in high speed situtation.

High beam headlights inoperative. *sd

Per owner manual, engine should hold 12 quarts of oil.a change was made to the dip stick by the manufacturer, which increases the oil intake to 14 quarts. Consumer wasn't notified of the change. This resulted in engine failure, do to insignificant oil consumption. *ph

The fuel filter housing has pin holes in it that are leaking onto the motor. Eadelr says the housing needs to be replaced.

Cracks have accumulated on the fuel tank, causing fuel to leak.dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. . sime vehicles can experience a cross tank fuel condition due to adamaged valve in the fuel pump/sender assembly. Fuel may besupplied from one tank and some or all of the unusedfuel may be returned to the other tank.should this occur, the capacity of the receiving tank may overflow the filler cap.

Transmission fluid boils and leaks on the exhaust system creating the potential for a fire.

The contact owns a 1994 f-350.while driving 20 mph, all of the sensors failed and damaged the transmission.the contact stated that the sensor lights illuminated on the instrument panel to warn her of the failure.the sensors and the transmission were replaced by a local mechanic.the dealer information was unknown.the current and failure mileages were 145,900.

Transmission failed five times.

Purchase this vehicle new in dec. Of 1993 and have had 7 transmission failures. Some of these failures have created situations of transmsission fluid boiling out of dipstick tube and dropping down on exhaust. Very good potential for oil fire when transmission fluid boiled out and vehicle was smoking from fluid dropping on exhaust. Have checked with atra {automatic transmission rebuilders association} and they have concluded that this particular transmission{e4od} has been very troublesome with high failure rate. Checking with insurance companies and investigative companies that investigate vehicle fires to see if there are many fires relating to this transmission failure in fords transmissions manufactured between 1989 thru 1997.

In the past 5 years i have replaced the torque converter and throttle position sensor 3 or more times. Each time the dealer tells me it's just a faulty part. I feel that ford is refusing to except the fact that i have a defective transmission. I plan to confront the dealer one more time before contacting an attorney.

The left rear axle support frame bracket cracked andseparatedfrom the vehicle, resulting in a collision.

The homesteader 820ct 2000 trailer is being towed by the truck chaise listed below. The trailers tires are caving inwards after only being used twice. This occurred because the double axlesbent. A dmv representative weighed the trailer loaded and found that the trailer was under loaded ,and the axles weren't strong enough to support the weight of the trailer. The trailer and the axle manufacturers were contacted, but provided no solution to the problem. Instead, they were blamingeach other.

Clutch does not operate due to defective slave cylinder; went out while vehicle was in motion.tt

When the clutch/ slave cylinder went outvehicle had no power, andclutch fell to floor.only way to stop vehicle would beturn key off.

Clutch slave cylinder keeps failing cracking leaking fluid at least once if not twice per year ford motor company has told me tough luck on the repairs the last time they had made a new style slave cylinder to cure the problem but it failed again today driving in city traffic. It is extremly hard to stop without a clutch

Clutch assembly slave cylander actuator has been replaced 5 times,part is located too close to exhaust which causes it to melt.

They feel that consumer was doing something forbrakes to wear.

When driving at any speed and apply thebrakes,brakes drag. When going down a hill, andconsumer takes foot off of the brakes, vehicle will stop.

Brake fade. When at a complete stop, pedal will sink slowly but not enough to active a warning light. If pedal is not pressed harder vehicle will roll. Dealership says this is not the first vehicle to do this and has contacted the manufacturer. Vehicle still does it to this day. Master cylinder has been replaced twice, still not fixed.

Equipped w/abs brakes; rear brakes perform erratically, locking up and front brakes vibrate upon appilcation.

Front right anti-lock brakes locked up 3 times.

When applying the brakes the vehicle will not stop. Dealer says brakes are working right.also can feel vibration in pedal when attempting to stop.also replaced rear brake drums.

Abs brakes lock up the rear tires at 5mph. Vehicle pulls to the right and has a bad shutter when brakes are applied.

Rear wheels lock up, slide, let go/lock up, causing vehicle to lose control, twice vehicle vehicle ended in middle of intersection/red light.

While pulling a trailer loaded with fire wood, the brakes failed at an intersection. The brake pedal went nearly to the floor. The brakes would not slow me down. The emergency brake was not stong enough to stop me while loaded. Had to down shift to stop. The brake line going to the rear axle had a hole in it. The hole was located at one on clamps to the frame.

The brakes failed while pulling a 12,000 pound fifth wheel camper. This happened while driving downhill. The pedal went to the floorboard and the truck would not stop.driver used the emergency parking brake to stop the truck. This was due to a frozen brake cable. The problem was corrected at owner's cost. There is a service bulletin on this issue. The truck was serviced for brakes in march of 1998, for the same problem.

Pe00040, tire tread separation: whle driving about 65 mph tread on the rear passenger's outside tire came off.tire size lt21585r16, dot # vdop1wv474. Replacement tire on a 1994, ford, f350. Firestone was not contacted abouttire. Please provide any further information.

Tread separated and tire then blew while driving causing damage to both the vehicle and the tow vehicle.this tire looks exactly like the tires shown on news releases from other firestone incidents. (dot number: vnoriwwtiresize: lt23585r16)

Tread seperated during normal driving tread knocked hub bolts off and bent steel running boards and knocked mud flap off (tiresize: lt235/8516)( dot number: tire size: lt235/8516 )

Truck was aligned by dealership, owner returned for no improvement, problem found to be with tires, owner was told that right front tire was completely separated and left front tire was going, tires are goodyear, wrangler, p23585r16. *cj

Vehicle's air by-pass valve in the intake sticks,causing rapid acceleration.this occurs in cold weather conditions. This is the 2nd by-pass valve replaced due to this condition on 7.5 engine.

F350 ford supercrew 4x4 7.3 turbo diesel had been sittingfor 4 days. Wife comes outof house finds truck on fire in engine compartment on driver's side. The cruise deactivation switch was disconnected.

1994 ford f-350 had an under hood fire. A recall was received in refernce to faulty speed control deactivation switch for the consumer's 1995 f-250 but not the 1994 f-350.

When attempting to start the vehicle smoke came from the engine compartment. Consumer immediately got out and disconnected the cruise control cable wires. Then, the smoke stopped.

The side view mirrors do not stay in adjustment and cause poor visibility while driving. Side view mirrors were in poor condition since purchase.*la

While driving about 35 mph the lug: nuts sheared offthe left rear wheel, resulting in wheel separation. Thedealer was not notified.

Left rear tire separated from axle. Nar 07/02/2003 *mr when the wheel and rim came off the vehicle collapsed to the ground and slide to final rest on the right berm.
