While driving vehicle about 40-55mph lost control due to the stretching or detachment of the serpentine belt and tensioner pulley, causing lossof power steering/brakes.

When the vehicleidledconsumer smelled and heard exhaust leaking. Dealer examined the vehicle, and found that the exhaust gas recirculation tube (egr) had a hole in it.

Exhaust fumeswere leaking into the cab of the vehicle. Consumer contacted the dealer, who didn't think that this problem was important, and will not service vehicle in a timely manor. Also,consumer asked formanufacturer's telephone number, butthe dealer refused to cooperate.

My ford f350 crewcab caught on fire for no apparent reason. I am just now finding out that there is a recall on my vehicle because of spontaneous fires on my year and model. I spent almost $3000.00 on repairs and have been having ongoing problems with the engine quitting while driving. I would like to know if there is any remedy that i can obtain from ford. I have not been able to use this truck for over 2 years because of the engine quitting and then a no start situation. Vehicle will start after it cools down but will stop within a half hour.this is frustrating because this is my only vehicle and i have lost use of the truck and had to stop working because i am a construction contractor and needed it to work. I have had the truck to the dealer numerous times. After researching problems online i had only found out then about possible underhood fires on my vehicle. I also found out about other tsb and recall information of which i had not been notified.

1993 ford f-350 with a 5.8 engine, i received this info. From alldata. I read on ford's web site that a safety recall generally never expires... Recall #'s 00s57 fuel pressure regulator replacement, # 00v424000 fuel pressure regulator malfunction, # 01l008000 fuel pump check valve defect., all three of these have the same symptoms, causes fuel from the rear tank to transfer to the front tank and cause fuel to run out of the fuel filler neck of the front tank and down the side of the truck onto the ground. I have owned the truck for 6 years and have never received any type of notice for this, one notice states that vehicle owners would be notified starting may 2001, ford sent me an email today stating that they would not repair this, i even sent them the recall #'s, i hope that you can offer me some help on this, as i really do not want my truck to catch fire with or without my family in it.thank you updated 03/06/09.

Fuel return is leaking diesel fuel onto injectors and exhaust, causing a serious fire hazard.

While driving fuel could pass from one tank to the other, forcing a fuel spillage.consumer is afraid of a worse situation.

I was using my rear gas tank in my dual tank system. The fuel ,in addition to operating the vehicle, pumped into the half full front tank. When i went to fill the front tank at the filling station, the fuel forcibly spilled out of the front tank, spraying on me.

Recall 93 v 125 000/fuel tank assembly: a portion of the unused fuel from one tank to be returned to the second tank, when this occurred,second tank exceeded, causing fuel spillages. Spill can result in a fire when exposed to a source of ignition;.manufacturer was notified, and informed that recall repairs was completed on that vehicle, and no other repairs would be made.feel free to provide any further details on this matter .

While traveling or making stops noticed gas smell inside vehicle.dealer has been contacted.dealer indicated that the vehicle was not on recall.

Front fuel tank being filled when back tank is being used. Ford says it might be the fuel pressure regulator and check valves. We found a recall on f-350's 90,91,92 and some 93 models #93v125000. And ford says it's not on their campaign message. Would like some help in this problem.

Fuel intake system will not accept fuel causing fuel to leak out while filling truck with gas

The contact owns a 1993 ford f350.the contact stated that theparking brake system was ineffective.the parking brake does not hold the vehicle and causes it to roll freely.he took the vehicle to the dealer on two occasions and they replaced the brake cables twice at the cost of $300 each.when the failure resurfaced, the contact called the manufacturer in reference to nhtsa campaign id number 94v169001 (parking brake:conventional) and was informed that his vin was not included in the recall.the contact would be responsible for the repairs.the failure mileage was 45,000 and current mileage was 202,000.

When driving and using the emergency brake, the emergency brake goes all the way to the floor, and consumer has to reset the emergency brake.

Harsh shifting of transmission.

Forward planetary in automatic transmission made of aluminum--- the center splines stripped out for the third time -- finally found all steel after market replacement -- assembly should have been stronger to begin with -- others must be having the sameproblem or no one would have needed to make a stronger aftermarket replacement

The clutch got stuck indrive. Consumer had to apply the brakes in order to stop the vehicle.consumer was not able to remove the gear, and the vehicle is in the shop for t repairs.

Clutch slave cylinder too close to exhaust and over heats o-ring causing loss of brake fluid and loss of clutch.less than 50,000 miles on truck and is used for towing 5th wheel rv some times in mountains it has went out two times now once about two years ago and just today, 08/17/2005. Heat insulator was in place both times.

Slave cylinder failed, was unable to disengage from the clutch.

While driving in the neighborhood, pulled up to a stop sign, pushed the clutch in,push rod assembly broke and made the vehicle lurch forward . When this happened,consumer had no control of the vehicle. The only way to stop the vehicle was to kill the engine.contacted the dealer, they wanted 90.12 for the whole master cylinder. But did not need the whole assembly fixed, just the push rod. The new kit comes with a metal rod and the factory part has a plastic piece that cracks.

Clutch master cylinder, push rod plastic extension fractured and broke while vehicle was in motion on the highway.the vehicle was unable to be shifted out of gear and was unable to stop forward motion until the engine was stopped.with further inspection of the component i was able to determine that wear and lubrications will cause this failure.an entire all metal unit should replace this component.vehicle was at 150,000 miles when failure occurred.

Owner states that while driving the clutch slave cylinder goes out.this is 5th time problem has occurred.cause is undetermined. Owner is very concerned for safety.

While driving consumer tried to push clutch in the bushing broke, and the linkage fell apart, making clutch inoperative.consumer had not followed up on the final response to the complaint filed via telephone because the vehicle broke down 800 miles from his home.consumer feels a recall should be issued to repair this problem.the failure to comsumers vehicle was due to a push rod mast.*jg

The clutch rodmade out of plastic, caused the clutch to break and disabled the clutch, causing the truck not to be able to stop.

Put a hole in my floor on driverside and broke the brake line on the driverside as well. Passenger side just let loose with no warning. I still have all four tires and the tread. These were 235/85r16

When applying the abs brakes, they lock up and wouldn't release, took to dealer and he said thst the piston in wheel caliperwere defective.

I-beam bolt came completely out in the right front steering assembly.

Steering gear box caused rivits on cross member of frame to stretch, also causing a snapping noise in front end, on closer inspection it was found that cross member of frame at steering box was loose, ford would not share in repair cost due to vehicle being out of warranty.

While driving at approximately 10 mph ford, f350, superduty truck suddenly veered off of the road toright and hit a telephone pole, causing $6,000.00 damage to vehicle. Bumpers are loose on frame while driving shakes very hard and makes a loud noise.tt

The top bolt on the left rear door hinge is broken.

Steering gear box caused rivits on cross member of frame to stretch, also causing a snapping noise in front end, on closer inspection it was found that cross member of frame at steering box was loose, ford would not share in repair cost due to vehicle being out of warranty.

Right front tire blewout while driving, the plies separated and the tire immediately disintegrated causing loss of control, noy only due to the tire but because the automatic fuel pump shut off switch was activated because of the vibration from the blown tire (michelin xch-4 lt 225/75r16).nlm

On 9/27/2000, i had the annual vehicle inspection in accordance with virginia state law.at that time, the inspector brought to my attention that 4 of the six tires had cracking in the area where tread separation would normally occur.i use this vehicle normally to pull my fifth wheel recreation vehicle.obviously, the tire cracking gave me much concern.today, 10/10/200, i had all firestone tires replaced.further inspection indicated that all tires show some indication of cracking. (dot number: vnop1wv053tiresize: lt21585r16)

Firestone steeltex radial at tire (p235/85r16) experienced sidewall separation.

Driver's side tire tread separated.both steel tex r4s tires had tread separated while traveling.

Tread became completely removed from the tire without loosing any air.the tire remained inflated but without the tread.( dot number: tire size: lt24575r16 )

Pe00020, original equipment on 1993 ford f350, tire size lt23585r16. Front passenger's tire and the rear driver's tire tread came apart which caused tire to explode, almost resulting in a crash.two tires seperated and exploded.seperate incidents approximately 6-12 months apart.
