Consumer had a water pump put on at the dealers. On the way home in the middle of traffic, fan belt came off,resulting in no steering and brakes. Consumer felt this was dangerous since vehicle lost fan belt five timesearlier. Took vehicle to dealer, and had to pay for belts.dealer said there was a problem with belts on these vehicles.
Hers is a list of all failures since new.rear axel seals, sway bar brackets, catalytic converter, ecm module, front seal on transmission, fuel pump, speedometer (twice), turn signal switch, water pump and now starting to leak again.

Replaced tensioneer/idler belt.
There aretwo tank's valves between the tanks. Whenputting gas into one tank, the gas will go into the other tank,causing a leak.

The defective check valve within the fuel pump assembly causes a portion of the unused fuel from one tank to be returned to the second tank.when this occurs, the capacity of thesecond tank can be exceeded,causing fuel spill. Spilled fuel can result in a fire when exposed to the source of ignition.the consumer contacted the dealer who indicated that the recall had expired and that they would not fix it under the recall.
Consumer states that whenthey had recall done, dealership forgot to install a part stated in the recall. Which cause recall redeem to fail. Went back, they corrected the problem, but later on problem reaccured.ts
Vehicle experiencing overflow from rear tank to front tank and back to rear tank, causing spillage. This occurs whenever engine is running.
When filling fuel tank, one tank would overflow intoother tank and cause a spillage from that tank. Fuel tank repaired under recalla second time as goodwill gesture.currently,service manager refusing to dorepairs again. 2nd owner.
Fuel leaked out of the front tank.
The vehicle had been leaking fuel from front fuel tank. Had taken vehicle to mechanic & was informed the tank had rusted & needed replacing.
Dual rear tire expolded and severed the rubber fuel fill line to the fuel tanks and immediately set the truck on fire.truck, trailer and boat all burned.
Tire debris severed the filler neck region of vehicle causing gasoline to spill on roadway and come into contact with the undercarriage which resulted in fire.
Consumer states that vehicle is leaking fuel. Dealer notified.
The contact owns a 1992 ford f-350. While fueling the vehicle, the fuel was transferring to the rear fuel tank and overflowing. The failure caused fuel to leak out onto the ground. The vehicle was taken to kalispell ford, in kalispell mt 59901, but the recall had expired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 93v125000 (fuel system, gasoline). The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
Parking brake failure resulting in disengagment and death when vehicle rolled over child.

Have had to replace complete clutch assembly three times. Had the same problem on on previous ford truck.

Abs brakes, when brakes are applied, experienced extended stopping distance, and brake pedal became very soft.in for repairs,will provide repair voucher.
When applying the brakes the pedal goes to the floor and vehicle does not stop. Owner has to downshift and use emergency brake to stop. Brake calipers had to be rplaced and defect still exists. Defect mainly occurs on declines.

The steering tensioner is worn and is causing the sepentine belt to fly off and steering loss. Please describe.
Bronze bushing in the tensioner wore to the point that the tension bearing surface allowed the serpentine belt to slip off the tensioner into the fan which destroyed the belt making it difficult to handle without power brakes or steering.

Vehicle being towed behind motorhome on i-29 north of st.joseph,mo. Heard noise and saw smoke and motorhome began drifting to right. After stopping to investigate found left front tire blown off wheel,brake line severed, running board missing and considerable damage to left door and fender.put on spare then proceeded to palmyra, ne. For the evening.just after crossing in to wyoming the next day another loud report and the left rear tire blew out.same type of tire and same mileage as the front, only the belt had wrapped around the axle and locked up the wheel. I have this tire, what is left of it anyway.conditions on both occurances: clear weather, temps in the mid to high 80 s, speed was 65 mph, traffic moderate.tires were checked and inflated to 50 psi prior to departing bartlett, tn.tread was about 50% on all four tires of the matched set. If vehicle had been driven instead of being towed, this could have been dangerous to occupents and other motorists in both incidents .
Tires separated at the bead joint on each tire after only 3,000 to 5,000 miles.exploded through the tread causing damage to vehicle.have used these tires for years without mishap until about two years ago.problem started about two years ago. Concerned about the safety of these tires on other less stable vehicles.

Front tires put on by dealer when i bought it 03/03/2000 on 06/13/2000 right front tirebegan to jump up and down and shake the entiretruck. Tire store statedproblem was due to possible belt seperation with-in the tire. I did not replace them with the same brand tires. I have not replaced the rear tires yet. Front alignment was check and determinded not to be a factor in the tirefailure.( dot number: tire size: lt-225-16 )
