12/07/16 i purchased a brand new vehicle. I drove it home approximately two miles to pick my wife up and take her for a spin. Upon starting the vehicle the air bag light, the stability control light as well as the warning message for service advance trac and trailer brake module fault and the 911 assist non operational. I took the truck back to the dealership and they ended up replacing the restraint control module. They had the truck for about five days. When i picked up my truck before i even got off the lot all the lights and messages came on again. I took it to the dealerships other location and they had it roughly three weeks. They replaced the instrument clusterand the master wiring harness at the instructions of ford engineering. I drove the truck before having all the same things happen again with the exception of the stability control/ service advance trac message. I took the truck back again , this time they replaced the restraint control module again. A few weeks went buy and now the same problems again. This is the fourth visit and tomorrow marks the 30th business day the truck has been in the shop. Add ten more days for the weekends it sat there and the one day for when the dealership had to repair my leather interior that they messed up. That's 41 days and i haven't even had it four months yet. I've requested that the manufacturer buy it back now twice and was denied both times. I was told that my vehicle does not meet their criteria. The service department told me that the vehicle is unsafe to drive when these lights come on. It powers down those systems making them non operational. There is no pattern to this happening. It can be at start up,siting still or moving down the road. The light can stay on the entire trip or just flash momentarily.

I totaled my 2016 ford f-250. I slammed into a dodge ram at about 45mph. My f-250 broke the suspension, steering, bent the frame, crumpled the engine compartment and broke the brakes. My airbags did not deploy.

The dash cluster cuts off while driving as well as radio and air conditioning.

The contact owns a 2016 ford f-250. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle decelerated independently. The contact drove to his destination. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer rush ford center (1720 herndon rd, ceres, ca 95307: (209) 541-3673), where it was diagnosed with needing the diesel exhaust fluid (def) tank heater to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000.

Vehicle was purchased from priorty ford in norfolk, va on sunday march 21st 2021.incident #1 march 22nd 2021: front driver's tire completely blew on highway en route to tennesse an hour and a half out of gatlinburg, tn. Speedometer was also not functioning properly prior to saying we were driving a faster than actual mph (confirmed while using gps). Spare tire was put in place of blown out tire, changed spark plug wire (which didn't repair ticking noise per mechanic) mechanic also said we would be good to go with spare tire. Incident #2 march 24th 2021: while en route to next destination (new orleans, la) tred came off rear drivers side tire causing truck to go out of control on i-59 near birmingham, al. Vehicle spun into grass median onto opposite side of interstate and was no longer drivable. A police report was made and truck was towed.additional information and proof via pictures and reports available upon request.**

Vehicle was parked at home and not running. Engine block heater was plugged in. Some time within an hour of plugging the block heater in the engine caught fire and was extensive enough to call the fire dept. Insurance company declared truck a total loss with no cause of the fire determined

Service engine light came on twice while vehicle was under warranty. Dealer serviced both times and was unable to rectify or understand the problem. They only cleared the fault codes. The code identified was for the reductant heater pump - low voltage.the same code just came back on for the 3rd time - this time identified by a diesel performance shop - with advice to replace the reductant pump.previous make and model superduty trucks have had recalls for the same thing. This is an obvious issue, not sure why ford service shops could not rectify. Truck is now out of warranty and i am forced to pay out of pocket. Unacceptable service and care!-cold weather each time-engine light comes on - same code each time-reduced speed and sluggish performance-code cleared - truck performs normal-obvious that the reductant heat pump is not doing what it is designed to do.

Vehicle has a hopping that occurs at speeds of 40-80 mph, have tried several remedies, none of which work. Hopping sensation is so severe that i would be worried to put children in the back seat of the vehicle. Manufacturer is aware of the problem, has a tsb in an attempt to remedy the problem. The manufacturer number of the tsb is 16-0087. Manufacturer claims issue is caused by frame flex. No known fix for the issue.engine also has a consistent issue of putting diesel fuel into the engine oil, manufacturer also claims this issue is "normal"

While operating in below freezing temperatures on the highway, the diesel exhaust fluid (def) tank heater failed, allowing the def to freeze inside the tank. With the def frozen, it was not able to be injected into the exhaust resulting in higher levels of nitrogen oxides (nox) to be released into the atmosphere through the vehicles exhaust.

The trucks diesel engine sporadically shudders/sputters/stalls creating a loss of power and doesn't respond to throttle input. The issue occurs sporadically while cleaning the exhaust filter.the vehicle is in motion when this occurs. This has occurred 4 times and it has occurredon city streets and highways. This has occurred 4 times. The dealer has reflashed the software once. It is currently at a ford dealership for the past 30 days. They stated they are replacing the valves on the left side( head) and may send the head to a machine shop.

The contact owns a 2016 ford f-250. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle began to bounce up and down. At 70 mph, the vehicle shook violently. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 17,000. Update 01/05/2017*ct

Was driving down the road and the truck started leaking diesel everywhere.we took the truck to the dealership where they said that when the filter clogs the truck doesn't turn off it sprays fuel out of the top of the filter housing.this is dangerous as my wife was driving the truck and sitting in the truck for several minutes with it running not realizing it was leaking .it could have caught on fire.

During regeneration there is a jackhammering effect and it shakes the whole truck. Sounds like the valves are going to come out of the engine

Radiator is leaking and needs to be replaced. This is the third time in 77,000 miles the radiator has needed to be replaced.

The reductant heater and sender assembly failed causing the malfunction indicator to light. This is the same problem addressed forthe 2011-2015 model year per customer satisfaction program 18m01.the fault was confirmed by rivertown ford in columbus ga via diagnostic tool. Clearly the issue per customer satisfaction program 18m01 remains and is affecting 2016 model year.

Engine runs rough during exhaust regen. Typically when driving between 55-65, the diesel exhaust fluid warning appears. Almost a minute later the truck begins to make loud jack hammer noise and loses power. Feels very unsafe as you lose power for about 10 seconds.

The contact owned a 2016 ford f-250. The contact stated that while her son was driving 35 mph and towing a trailer with his atv on, a vehicle in front was making a left turn and the driver depressed the brake pedal. An unknown warning light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the vehicle in front that was making a left turn. The vehicle continued 125 feet down the road, crossed over to the opposite lanes, crashed into some trees where it eventually came to a stop. No air bags deployed. The driver sustained a concussion from his face hitting the steering wheel during the impact, muscle neck and shoulder injuries which received medical attention from the hospital. The other driver sustained unknown injuries and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed by geico to the contact residents where an adjuster inspected the vehicle and towed the vehicle to a repair facility where it was deemed the vehicle a total loss. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that no recall was under the vin. No further information was provided by the manufacturer. No dealer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

09/05/2016 purchased 2016 ford. 11/24/16 fuel filter pluged, replaced at landers ford benton ar.12/23,2016 check engine light (codes p008a, low fuelpressure/ and p0170 , something to do wioth the fuel) took to donley forsd galion ohio. They were not sure what to do but sugested changing the fuel filters. Truck was under waranty but charged me to do so mileage was 27,486. 1/12/16 check engine light again took to hacienda ford edinburg, tx found codes p0170 (second time) and p229f some kind of sensor. They checked the fuel and found metal in the fule filter, lines and tank. I was told that the high pressure pump had failed and that is where the metal was comming from. They replaced fuel system kit, 8 injectors, high pressure pump, steel lines, return line, fuel filtersand flushed fule lines and fuel tank. Mileage was 29446. I lost a half tank of fuel appx 15 gals. And had to pay $19.74 for fuel to restart the truck. I believe my lost fuel and the other should have been covewred under waranty. I forgot to mention the parts were under back order and i had to wait several days for them to get the parts. Repairs completed 1/21/16 mioleage 29,362. 04/12/16 check engine light againp0170 again mileage 45240 was told by donley ford that they will moniter something called oasis for repair per ssm#45737. So ford does not know what is causing this or how to fix the problem.i use my truck for work, transporting rv trailers so i need to rely on it. Needless to say i do not have much confidence in this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2016 ford f-250. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle decelerated to 50 mph and would not exceed 50 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the heater for the diesel exhaust fluid was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. Baytown ford (4110 i-10, baytown, tx) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 82,000.

The dash cluster cuts off while driving as well as radio and air conditioning.

The def fluid heater has failed. This can cause failure or def delivery to the system at lower outdoor temperatures. This component has already been subject to a nhtsa recall in earlier year models of tge same truck, up to model year 2015.

Code p20ba, reductant heater in def tank. It is a known problem but ford did not include my year model in the warranty recall. $1050.00 to repair. I see all over the internet with people having the same problem that i'm having.

Failure of reductant heater and sender unit for diesel emission fluid (def) with only 37,000 miles.error codes will eventually force vehicle to idle and not drive at highway speeds. Ford vehicles prior to 2016 were fixed at no charge for this defect under ford's customer satisfaction recall

Fuel filler neck rotted away allowing fuel to run down the inside of the fenderwell. The fuel cap light did lightup. This vehicle has 25730 miles on it. The filler neck was replaced by my service center. I noticed the leak while fueling about 200 miles from home, and had it checked upon arriving home.if i had been in an accident this would allowed fuel to leak.

The fuel tank sending unit is not guarded. Poor design, i have a fleet of ford trucks.i have a 2010 f250 currently in the shop, ford has a factory shield covering the exposed fuel lines. Ford is also not covering the repair under warranty. The dealership also stated this is not the first truck with this damage. Fuel was spraying on the exhaust for a while before it died.

Service engine light came on twice while vehicle was under warranty. Dealer serviced both times and was unable to rectify or understand the problem. They only cleared the fault codes. Dealership reports a failure to the high pressure fuel pump. Repairs are $7900.00. Only 5500 miles on the diesel truck and is not covered under warranty. No warnings lights or alarms were given. After thorough research, this is a concerning problem, with ford/bousch.

Death wobble front end at highway speeds.

Complete brake failure, 2,500 miles on this car!

Has a hissing sound under the passenger side ,has been giving us upset stomachs and sometimes head aches, just plain sickfeeling, when the ac and defrost are on. Also from end abs seems to engage when going around a bend and then supposedly the auto correct kicks in and tries to correct the truck pulling steering wheel.was told they tested one truck and it did it one time, this is after they put in countless hrs on labor plus a $1000 into a new steering column and determined that it is normal operating condition. Didn't buy it for this god for sake noise . As for the hissing, told me to detail the truck and that they were not going to do anymore for this.this has been going on since the first week of buying this truck.over and over to the dealership, they keep putting new parts on. If this is normal operating conditions, than why don't they know what to replace and keep putting more test and parts.no answer on the hissing sound and very very rude managers at dealership.

I am getting a death wobble.i bought it in to the dealership around 50 thousand miles on the truck and asked them to check in to this.they told me i need to change the tires.which i did and i rotate them every 5,000 to 10,000 miles.i was driving down the highway to night at 70 mph which is the speed limit.i was in a transition from the freeway to bride and that little bump put me into a death wobble.i had no control of the truck which the steering wheel shakes violently and the whole truck shakes.the only way to get it to stop is bring to a dead stop.which i had to do on the freeway almost getting rear ended by a semi truck.this was the final straw.it happen to me 2 times more on the way home. Luckily there was no one behind me.i know i am not the only one experiencing it.ford has been giving me the run around.i am afraid every time that i hit a bump its going to happen.i paid a lot of money for this vehicle and it is unsafe for road use.i don't know what to do if i sell it i will lose money. This needs to get addressed very soon before some one is killed or i am killed behind the wheel.

I was traveling at a speed of 65 mph down interstate 5 south in castaic, ca.the truck front end suddenly began to shake violently.it was only when i slowed down and pulled over when the shaking stopped and the truck drove normally.i later came to realize i had experienced what many call the 'death wobble'. I immediately took the truck to my local ford dealer for repairs

While driving hit small cracks and bumps that causeda violent shaking of truck, got on brakes stopped and then it happened three more times regular expressway joints caused it, hwy 385 and i 240 both 4 lane expressways, no pot holes just joint connections at speeds of 45 miles a hour getting on expressway and at speed on i240 65 mph when it happened. Truck was going strait at all times when this happened. Truck is stock no modifications.

While traveling 65mph in a posted 65mph zone, i drove over uneven pavement.this caused the steering wheel and vehicle to violently shake.so severe was the shaking that my coffee cup shook out of the snug cup holder it was in, the overhead sunglass storage compartment came open and the passenger-side sun visor came down. When i applied the brakes, the shaking became worse and i could not control the vehicle.only when i decelerated without braking did the shaking stop, at about 35mph.this was extremely terrifying, so much so that a fellow motorist, who witnessed the ordeal, stopped behind me on the shoulder to make sure i was okay.

Death wobble- 2016 ford f-250 is experiencing the death wobble at speeds above 60mph. This is a continuing problem, the service manager at my local dealership stated there is no tsb from ford recognizing the 2016 has a problem with the death wobble. The dealership has replaced the parts in the front end that ford says to on models that experience the same issue. This has not fixed the problem. This is a serious safety issue with all these vehicle and ford knows about this issue and has not done anything to help the consumer. I have spent over $2000 to fix this and it's not fixed yet.

The front wheels will start shaking violently causing the entire truck to shake. This is known as the death wobble. The truck only has 56,000 miles and this has happened several times. It usually happens when you are in a slight turn at highway speeds and hit any type of bump or rough patch in the road.

"death wobble"at approx 34k miles i experienced what i later found out was known as the death wobble.i drove over a section of highway that i had been over a thousand times but this time i hit a pot hole just right and my steering wheel began to violently shake in my hands.at the same time i was approaching a curve and literally had to stop to make the shaking go away.fortunately nobody was following me on the highway and i was going the speed limit of 55mph when this occurred. The problem has also happened on certain city streets wheel you hit a pot hole or road seem in just the right way.i contacted a ford dealership and they replaced several front end components and told me that those repairs would fix my issue.my truck now has 47k miles on it and the problem is slowly returning.the wheel doesn't shake as badly as it did the first time but in the right condition it will shake in your hands.

Steering wheel oscillation, my ford truck experiences the death wobble when traveling more than 45 mph and the tires hits a groove or bump in the road. The only way to control the violent shaking is by quickly reducing speed, a dangerous move when driving in traffic.

Truck has 80,000 miles on it, 99.9% of which are paved road driving at moderate speeds. Truck suddenly developed the ' death wobble ' after hitting a bump on the road above 45 mph or so. First noticed the condition 100 miles ago. Getting hesitant/ a little scared to drive the truck at highway speeds. Feeling the wobble in the steering wheel after a road bump has to be seen to really believe what is happening.

When i bought this vehicle used off of pinnacle ford in nicholasville ky, (now has 36,700 miles) i had no idea that i was buying a truck with the so-called "death wobble." long story short i havent been unable to drive this truck on any long trips and badly dread it when i have to be on any road with a speed limit over 55 because once i begin to hit 60 m.p.h. The front end will start to shake so bad that the words scary, unsafe, and embarrassing are understatements. I have been waiting patiently for the ford "death wobble" recall for quite some time, but i just cant wait anymore; i was recently advised to file this report. I am including a picture of one of my front tires that was not so long ago new, and they are both chopped so bad that if you run your hand across the tread your hand will stop due to the extreme unlevelness of the tread with no exaggeration whatsoever. Please, please, force ford to recall this truck. I own a concrete construction business, and if i were to mess up someones new driveway with no safety issues involved, i would be expected to fix it asap, and for the integrity of myself and my business i should be expected to fix it. It truly amazes me how big corporotions can screw up their product that we pay way too many thousands of dollars for these days and even with extreme safety issues beyond just a faulty product sold, they can literally can get by with causing wrecks, deaths, and selling faulty unsafe products; they clearly get by with what the average person or small business owner could not and cannot.

On multiple occasions over the past few months the front end of my truck has begun to shake violently.the steering wheel shakes badly and the only way to regain control is to brake quickly.in each instance the vehicle was traveling between 65 and 75 mph and the shaking seems to be instigated by hitting a an uneven section of the road'i specifically recall a bridge expansion joint and a pothole that set off the shaking.all incidents occurred on freeway straightaways.i tow a travel trailer and this shaking has occurred both when towing and not towing.in reading a blog frequented by travel trailer owners, this problem with the f250 has become known as the 'death wobble' and seems to be experienced by many.i have been fortunate enough to have not been in an accident because of this problem, however, since the solution to wobble is rapid braking given the fact that this occurs on freeways at relatively high rates of speed, i imagine it will only be a matter of time until an accident occurs.i have asked the ford dealership about this problem, however they claim ignorance.a you tube video entitled: ford f-250: death wobble strikes 3 times provides video evidence of this shaking.

Truck has 48,000 miles on it and when i was driving home from pennsylvanian (not pulling a trailer just driving home) when i was going alone the interstate at 65 miles per hour the truck started to shake violently. I braked and then back on the gas and it was fine. I've read a ton about the "ford death wobble" and feared this when buying a f250 but didn't think that i too would be a victim of this poor design by ford. I rotate and balance my tires every 5k to 15k miles and alignment checked okay. Very frustrating i have to buy new parts for a track that should last 100k+ without issues.i ordered an aftermarket (fox) stabilizer shock because the ford oem one on the truck was shot (lost all its gas or leaked). Again only 48k miles what a joke!unfortunately the stabilizer shock hasn't completely solved the issue. When i hit bumps in the road i can feel the play in the wheel still and believe i need to go through and change all the ball joints and link ends.do all this and again cross my fingers that it wont come back.want to be part of the class action law suite. Just want a truck that works for as much as i paid for this thing from the factory. Sad ford. I'm a die hard ford guy but this is a sad day.

Driving on interstate and the truck started a uncontrollable wobble. During the wobble i felt i had no control of vehicle and was moving out of my lane. Ford needs to do something immediately before someone gets killed i also tell a fifth wheel camper and i can only imagine having that kind of weight behind me that the truck would flip and possibly kill me or someone else on the interstate.

At 42000 miles i started to experience what is known as the death wobble when i hit a rough patch in the road.took the truck to the local dealer and they had it for a week and told me the couldn't find an issue.issue is getting progressively worse and occuring more frequently.

When driving on road/interstate over 60 mph and hit a rough spot in the road the front end shakes violently. Almost loosing control of the vehicle. This happens very often. Shakes so bad you need to slow down to about 30 mph before it stops. Not safe.

While driving, if i hit a pothole or dips in the roadway, hit the transition from the roadway pavement to a bridge or overpass on the highway or hit a groove in the roadway the front end and the steering wheel can begin to shake and wobble erratically and sometimes violently. This is scary and has almost caused accidents. This usually occurs while driving at speeds between 55 and 70 mph. Also, when driving at speeds between 68 and 75 the steering wheel shakes. This occurs all the time. I have spent a lot of money on having all front end parts replaced, shocks replaced and two sets of brand new tires replaced within three and a half months.yet, still i get the vibrations in the steering wheel and front end.

Driving my truck at highway speeds trucks steering vibrates violently making it impossible to control.this is known as "the death wobble". Mu truck is affected

High way speeds very bad shake. Death wobble. Need caster set more on a 2.5 - 3 degree. Everything is stock on this truck and as much as i paid for it i as sure wasn't expecting that to happen. I had to pull of the highway and stop completely and then gradually gain speed and avoiding hitting egg yokes dividing lanes. That would set it off running 55 to 60. My mechanic is the one who told me about the caster adjuster. I don't want to void my warranty much less have to buy something that should've been already installed on this beast of a truck.

With 24,000 miles on my truck my vehicle front tires and steering wheel experienced a violent shaking to where my truck felt like the axle was going to fall off. It has been in the ford dealership 4 times for this death wobble. The first time i was going 70 mph on the freeway and went over a bridge joint which triggered the shaking. As soon as i slowed down below 45 (on the freeway mind you), the wobble goes away and my truck rides like normal. I pulled over to inspect, but i couldn't find anything wrong. I took it to the dealership, and they found that my ball joints were destroyed, and replaced them. Three months later the death wobble came back and i took it back to the dealer who originally replaced the ball joints, and once again the new ball joints were destroyed. This time they also installed a steering stableizer which made the front end feel better, but after a few months of driving it, the death wobble came back. I now took my truck to another dealer who instantly found a technician service bulletin (tsb) #16-0087 which is posted from ford in april of 2016 which states that some suspension parts need to be added to the rear of my truck, so they installed those parts..the very next day the death wobble cam back, and the dealership installed a new track bar, this time even though it didn't look defective, but because after having my truck for a month, and even with the help of ford's mechanical specialists at the main headquarters couldn't find anything anything else wrong. This wobble all started while my truck was under warranty, and then the past 3 repairs, it was no longer under warranty.

While driving my 2016 ford f250 crew cab on a highway, at 50 miles per hour the vehicle steering started wobbling uncontrollably and the whole truck started shaking, i had to slow down to 25 miles per hour to stop the wobbling. Happened again at 65 miles and hour a few minutes later on the same road.

At high speeds 65 plus when a bump is hit the front of truck and steering starts shaking violently and doesn't stop until you slow down to below 20 to get it to stop. This violent shaking in the steering/front end can cause lose of control and having to slow to such a slow speed on interstate can cause accident and injury to self and others. This has happened several times with last event yesterday at which time a semi truck almost rear ended me.

Upon turning onto a highway and reaching approximately 45/50 miles per hour, the front end of the vehicle began violently shaking and regaining control was not possible until i slowed the vehicle. It seemed as though the vehicle front end was wobbling left and right as well as jumping up and down. Upon inspecting the steering and suspension, i found no apparent damage.

This vehicle is part of a fleet vehicle that i received new. I originally complained to the dealer that the vehicle has a front-end wobble. I was told originally that it was either the tires or a bad rim. I recently received new tires and the wobble has become unbearable. It is called the death wobble from the reviews i have seen online.when you are driving, the entire truck vibrates so hard that you feel as if you are on a roller coaster. The faster you go, 60-65, the steering wheel shakes with difficulty holding onto the wheel. I searched recalls and there have been none. My concern is that this can lead to an accident and either i or an innocent driver/passenger in another vehicle can be harmed due to the lack of repair or concern of ford motor.i called the owner of the fleet and haven't heard back from the equipment manager. I did contact ford customer service and reported this. This issue has been present but recently it has become difficult to hold onto the steering wheel. The weather is nice now but if it were in bad weather, this is a dangerous situation.i initially thought it was a flat tire or a broken ball joint or stablizer arm, but it isn't.

I have real bad death wobble when driving i hit bumps in the highway my truck has 212,000 miles on it and started it about at 160000miles i replace the front stabilizer at no help, new tires no help

Death wobble front end at highway speeds.

With 37k miles on my vehicle and all maintenance performed and followed by dealer, i was driving down highway at 70 mph hauling a 13k lb 5th wheel rv when suddenlytruck and steering started to shake violently. With a heavy load attached i braked and slowed vehicle to 50 mph to stop shaking. I was 200 miles from nearest ford dealer in el paso and drove truck and rv there for immediate service. Internet research shows this condition is common with f250 trucks even under 10k miles! this is a very dangerous and life threatening episode especially at highway speed. There is a ford tsa which describes this problem.

Death wobble. Truck shakes uncontrollably after a bump on the freeway at 70 mph

Upon hitting a bump in the road at highway speeds the truck started shaking in the front end. In another instance i was accelerating to highway speeds and the truck started violently shaking at about 65mph, steering was difficult i had to slow down and stop on the shoulder for it to stop. I was able to start driving again after slowly accelerating along the shoulder then merging back into traffic. I noticed that it appears whenever i even hit a minor road defect i feel a slight vibration.

When driving around 70 mph i hit a bump and the vehicle started shaking horribly. When i reduced the speed to around 50mph the shaking stopped. The technician called it a "death wobble" and after a few days, the vehicle was repaired for $3755.80.

Driving one day the front end started shaking violently.had it repaired - but it is doing it again just 2 months later.(death rattle).

Death wobble. Second complaint.truck worked on 2 months a ago ($600). Wobble returned with a vengeance. Maybe 2,000 additional miles on truck. 82,000 miles currently. On freeway, speed 55-65 mph. Hit a crack in the road ( not a pothole or anything significant ). Steering wheel shook back and forth 3-4 inches. Noisy, hood shaking strongly. Aggressive braking to below around 40 mph to stop the death wobble. Happened 3 times within 3 miles. Drove home at 35 mph. I wasn't too popular with the rest of the freeway traffic. I believe i25 surface in that area is concrete with the occasional crack in the surface. Scary as can be.

Steering dampener and tie rods had to be replaced at 58800 miles due to shaking or wobbling of the front end. This was at the normal rate of speed on the highway at 55 to 70 miles per hour.

This truck starting doing the death wobble at about 50 mph.ran over some rumble strips approaching a stop sign and the wheels shook violently.put new drag link, tie rod and steering dampner, still did it.put new trackbar and ball joint, bushing and had alignment still doing it.it is at dealer now replacing track bar ball joint, shocks and having alignment shimmed.total cost about 3500.

My truck, with 41,000 miles , is suffering whats being referred to online as the " death wobble ". The symptoms began at around 21,000 miles and it has grown steadily worse. It happens when hitting bumps or bridge expansion joints at highway speed, forcing me to slow to approx 20 mph to regain control, which is very unsafe on a crowded highway. The dealer i purchased the truck from new said it is not a warranty item and may not even be covered under my additionally purchased 10 year 100,000 mile extended warranty. The truck is essentially unsafe at highway speeds and my wife wont even ride in it. Ford is ignoring a huge problem with their product , people have already been hurt , someone is going to be killed! please help!! i have an appointment at the dealers service department for tueday , 10-23-18. They have informed me that any work they do may be on my dime , which just blows my mind. Again , please interject into this issue before someone is killed and to save the buyers from having to pay ford to address this obvious engineering mistake.

We were driving down interstate 70 near glenwood springs, colorado on december 23, 2016. Driving 75 mph (the speed limit) with no cars nearby. It was a straight stretch of interstate. Driving conditions were clear, no snow or ice on the road. Outside temperature was 40 degrees f and sunny. Interior temperature was set on 69 degrees f. Out of nowhere, the sunroof spontaneously shattered, blowing a huge hole through it. It sounded like a bullet had gone off. There were no rocks nor shell casings found in the vehicle. Fortunately, we had the sunroof visor closed and did not get injured by glass. There was broken glass all over the interior of the headliner. We were very startled and the damage was approx $2217 to fix. Ford denied the warranty claim (vehicle only had 22k miles and was still under factory and extended warranties that we had purchased). Thankfully my husband was driving because i was panicked and probably would have had an accident.

Death wobble occurs so violently when you hit a bump in the road that it is hard to maintain control. You have to come to a complete stop for it to quit. Items have been replaced from the ford service bulletion

Front end violent shaking at highway speed when crossing pavement change like bridge or pothole. Unable to control vehicle until speed reduced under hard braking. Ford dealer aware of issue and calls it death wobble. Contacted ford customer service and they stated they had a program for this issue and made a partial payment to total cost off replacing all front end suspension parts.they know of problem and have designed alignment specs to cause dangerous pre mature part failure.

When driving on freeways the truck goes into a death wobble repaired by ford. 10 months later death wobble is back can not drive truck safely.

Violent shaking when driving down highway. First time this happened was when i had around 38,000 mikes on my truck. It was sporadic and only a few instances. The violent shaking makes it hard to keep truck on road while slowing down and pulling off on the shoulder. This has happened on/off within no warning. It has been happening more frequentlyo. Appears to happen when going 60 miles and hour or over and without warning but mostly always when driving on highway or interstate.

Experiencing the ford f250 "death wobble". The truck violently shakes after hitting a bump or groove in the road at speeds over 60 miles per hour. To stop the shaking you have to almost come to a complete stop in the road. It seems to happen more often on the highway traveling at high speeds over bridges or when it is off balance.

Death wobble front end at highway speeds.

At 34,000 miles truck started to shake and shudder while driving at 70mph on interstate.vehicle became hard to control due to vehicle violently shaking.at 58,000 miles truck started making a clunking noise in front suspension.vehicle steered rough.for the second time truck was taken to ford dealer and repaired.the second time at my expense.vehicle is unsafe to drive when parts in suspension wear out over this short amount of time. Each time vehicle was in motion on the highway.

I have real bad death wobble when driving i hit bumps in the highway my truck has 212,000 miles on it and started it about at 160000miles i replace the front stabilizer at no help, new tires no help

The front wheels will start shaking violently causing the entire truck to shake. This is known as the death wobble. The truck only has 56,000 miles and this has happened several times. It usually happens when you are in a slight turn at highway speeds and hit any type of bump or rough patch in the road.

At 42000 miles i started to experience what is known as the death wobble when i hit a rough patch in the road.took the truck to the local dealer and they had it for a week and told me the couldn't find an issue.issue is getting progressively worse and occuring more frequently.

Death wobble. Truck shakes uncontrollably after a bump on the freeway at 70 mph

I was driving the truck on the highway and out of nowhere the front end and steering wheel began violently shaking with me nearly losing control in traffic.i had just purchased the vehicle used 1 month ago.it has 76k miles and is out of warranty.in doing some research it seems ford is well aware of this issue and has not issued a recall.the issue is exactly what is shown in you tube videos being called the death wobble

When driving on road/interstate over 60 mph and hit a rough spot in the road the front end shakes violently. Almost loosing control of the vehicle. This happens very often. Shakes so bad you need to slow down to about 30 mph before it stops. Not safe.

The contact owns a 2016 ford f-250. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, when she experienced the "death wobble" several times. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to control. The vehicle was taken to local dealer fair oaks ford lincoln located at 2055 w ogden ave, naperville, il 60540, (630) 250-5750, and they were made aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed ore repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.

While driving at highway speed the steering wheel goes into a violent shake after passing a highway bridge expansion joint.

Ford f250 death wobble, when my vehicle hits a bump or groove in the road while driving at normal highway speeds or 45 mph+. The vehicle begins to violently wobble and shake while driving, causing me to lose control.

Backup camera cuts in and out goes to blue or black screen intermittently or does not come on at all. From park to reverse. This has been happening on and off over the last 5 months. Appears to be getting more frequent as time goes on.

There was a black dually ford f250 that was traded in about a month ago to carmax or carvana. The registered owner was (xxxxx) from santa maria, ca but the vehicle was driven to transport cars by (yyyyy)b/d 3/3/82 owner of white lightening transport llc. This truck had well over 300k miles and mr (yyyyy) had the milage turned back at least three times. I believe it stated about 37k at trade in. He met the dealer on 166 and had to pull over to program the check engine light right before trading it in. I am not sure of the trade in date or vindication but i'm positive the mileage was turned back 3 times that i am aware of. He took it for oil changes and new tires so somewhere he had to slip up and the mileage was logged. Not positive of the trade in date but it was recentparts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

Since the day i purchase this truck new i havea vibration from the rear of the truck.i took itt to ford two times each time they told me it was normal .that's second time that i took it in the service manager road in the truck and felt the vibration and said that it was bad. They kept the truck for 24 hours and then called me and told me it was normal. They said these trucks were made to carry weight that's the reason why it vibrates .this is also a four-door truck which carries passengers. The vibration is so bad that if there was a baby in the backseat sleeping it would not be able to sleep. The vibrations thoughts about 60 miles an houron the highway .they started happening from the day i purchase the truck in december 2016 .

Code p20ba, reductant heater in def tank. It is a known problem but ford did not include my year model in the warranty recall. $1050.00 to repair. I see all over the internet with people having the same problem that i'm having.

Its says something about recaptcha when i try to run a recall report

My 2016 ford f250 produced a check engine light.per an obd tester the code p20ba is produced.this corresponds to the diesel reductant fluid pump assembly.upon online research this normally corresponds to the heater which heats the diesel exhaust fluid failing.upon further research ford extended the warranty on older models of this truck, evidently from 2011 through 2015.from other's experiences it appears the problem continues into the 2016 model year however there is no extended warranty coverage.as the vehicle model of 2016 is similar to the 2011-2015 models i believe coverage should be extended to the 2016 models as well.the check engine light came on today upon starting my vehicle on 1/17/2020.

I recently bought a truck from a smaller car dealership on feb. 16 2021. The vehicles odometer read 109,000 miles when i purchased it. It's been a couple of months now and i recently decided to run a carfax report on the truck and it showed me that the trucks odometer had once read 136,000 miles, and 142,000 before it was labelled as "potential odometer rollback. A couple of weeks after this potential odometer fraud was labelled by carfax the trucks odometer went to 109,000 miles, which was how many miles it said the truck had when i bought it. I believe that i'm dealing with odometer fraud, and i need to get this resolved asap.

My children and i were driving about 55mph, on a sunny day in california, uphill, on a two-lane section of highway, with light traffic going in the same direction, a median to the left, another two-lane highway going in the opposite direction, and both roads are surrounded by undeveloped land. I was talking with my wife, who happened to be following us in her van, when we heard a loud "pop". I didn't notice anything out of place inside the truck or with its driving, and asked if she had noticed anything hit it from her vantage point. She said "no" and we continued on our way to our next stops. When i parked, i could hear a "cracking" noise above my head. I slowly opened the moonroof cover and discovered the entire moonroof had cracked. Though cracked, it was completely intact and i could not find any sign or debris indicating it had been hit by an object. I then took the truck to the dealership i bought it from, took more pictures as it developed a hole on the way, and left it for the service department to look at since they are closed on sunday. As i was taking pictures of the hole, i noticed the edges were all inverted rather than facing down into the truck. It's as if pressure built up inside and blew the moonroof outward. The next day, the service department told me it was due to an "impact" and despite my explanation and pictures, refused to cover the repair under warranty. The truck only has 5,515 miles on it and is well within the scope of the manufacturers warranty. I did a bit of searching on the internet and found that ford had a class-action lawsuit against them, pertaining to 16 different makes/models/years of their vehicles for shattering moonroofs. The case was krebsbach et al. V. Ford motor co., case number 2:16-cv-02200. The ford reps i talked with deny having any problems with their moonroofs and said they will only cover repairs if there is a recall.

Turned on rear window defroster this morning while parked in my driveway. Something caught fire and shattered my rear window.

While traveling on a highway, pulling a 5th wheel rv, the vehicle's sunroof exploded outwards. When we safely stopped, the remaining glass was bowed outwards from the vehicle.. The sunroof was fully closed at the time, and nothing struck anywhere on the vehicle. We were traveling at approximately 75 mph.

The contact owns a 2016 ford f-250. While the vehicle was parked and unoccupied, the rear windshield exploded without impact. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 26,000.

When using delay wipers or hard rain vision is impaired as the wiper returns to home position. A huge pool of water is pulled back across window impairing vision. Dealer replaced wipers, waxed window no help. We drove other vehicles on lot, they do the same thing. Dealer acid washed the window, which makes it even worse. I have a blurred vision like when you see heat off the road in the horizon. Vision is very unsafe when driving into sunlight or at night when head lights hit the window. Ford warranty does not want to fix. I have been dealing with this for a over a month now. The vehicle has about 2400 miles on it currently. I have worked in the auto mfg business since 1989 in quality control with some previous experience with wipers and windshields.

Bought 2016 f 250 used from dealer now i have tire tread issues. Wife and 2 children use this vehicle as a daily driver because we thought it would be safe. Now not so sure. All tires are original and in good shape until we noticed a chunk of thread starting to separate from tire.

When driving on road/interstate over 60 mph and hit a rough spot in the road the front end shakes violently. Almost loosing control of the vehicle. This happens very often. Shakes so bad you need to slow down to about 30 mph before it stops. Not safe.

While driving on the highway at 70 mph had a catastrophic blow out. The low tire pressure warning light came on and within seconds the tire blew. Also after inspecting the other tires noticed a chunk of tread missing on another tire.
