Front positioned airbags did not deploy during front end collision. Substantial damage incurred to front of vehicle - given the force of the impact, air bags should have deployed.vehicle has in motion on a state highway.i was traveling approximately 55 mph before seeing a stopped vehicle in the roadway.very little time to apply brake before impact.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While attempting to shift the parking brake into gear the vehicle failed to start. There was an abnormal grinding and squealing noise detected. Several warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. *dt

The truck seemed to be running out of gas, surged, sputter, surge sputtered then quit running. I had 1/2 a tank.had to cost the truck a crossed speeding traffic lanes and came to a stop on an over pass.had the truck towed to the dealer. The dealer findings were a problem with the fuel pump and controller.the dealer stated when they enter the check engine code (p0627) into their wan, they shortly had a call from ford engineering wanting the parts returned to them and with instructions not to replace them with the same part number. It seems this was a known issue and had been flagged in their network by ford engineering. It seems this issue was unknown by the dealership. It bothers me greatly that this issue is known by ford engineering but the dealers are selling new trucks with this known defect. The new truck has sat at the dealer for three weeks because the controller part is not available.

Purchased car with 8 miles on it in 2015.both batteries were defectiveand had to be replaced .one battery blew up, and the other caught on fire.not sure if that caused anymore extensive damage. The car is dragging when i start it now.dealer at koons ford in md.says he cant find anything wrong.took the car to liberty ford and they replaced batteries and suggested i go back to koons ford because the car is under warranty.i believe something is wrong the starter or ignition.default tire pressuresensor will not go off.even after maintenance.some severe electrical issues are happening. Having suspensionissues as well truck shakes real bad if i hit a bump. Very poor gas mileage.bumpers are of poor quality.these issues have been ongoing since the purchase of the car. The truck only has 47,000 miles with no missed maintenance dates. Problems occurringboth on the highwayand on city street while in motion.

Sync system completely inoperable. Loss of hands free operation and no gps creating hazard.

The abs system and the advanced auto trac malfunction and causes loss of breaks. Ford can not diagnose the problem and seems unworried about the issue. I have questioned ford about this problem and the response i get is it could be a number of issues. They want to start changing parts at my cost without knowing what it is or not wanting to admit what the problem is. This happens when the truck is in motion and happens without cause. A bell goes off you lose power for a short period of time and lose breaks for periods of time while bells are going off.

Truck start shaking violently at 60 miles per hour at random times on random days, also known as the death wobble

Vehicle is 34 months old with 47,000 miles. Radiator has to be replaced due to leak in the left front area of the radiator. I know i'm over the regular 3year/36,000 mile warranty, but the drive train warranty is still valid. Ford will not cover it.radiator should not have to be replaced at this age of the vehicle. Isn't radiator part of engine/drive train? i understand this is an on going problem with these trucks. Ford should at least pay for parts. Thank you!

The truck has87,000 miles and i was driving 45 mph, engine light came on the truck jurked like back fire, no brakes no acceleration . Went to the nearest dealer they said the exhaust valve stuck and through the rod through the piston and cylinder wall.ford says sorry need new engine 10,000.00

Catastrophic engine failure caused by broken glow plugs.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly became turbulent, shook, and a knocking noise was heard from the engine. The contact would have to park and turn off the vehicle in order to stop the failure from occurring. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer five times. The dealer stated that this was a common failure with the vehicle and there was no remedy. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer stated that the failure did not qualify under the lemon law. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 19,000.

Truck was driving at 35 mph when all of the sudden lost compression. Coasted off the roadway. Vehicle had broken valve spring which dropped valve causing hole in top of piston. This truck is in new condition with oil changes regularly no warning lights on the dash or knocks. Zero indications prior to this happening. We own four fords and believe this to be a faulty part. Thousands of dollars to repair. Only 92000 miles on it all highway.

When the vehicle is performing a regeneration, and you are going up an incline, the engine can shake and valve knocking can be violent accompanied by a loss of speed and power.the first violent incident that happened was going up a narrow mountain road and fortunately no one was injured.the vehicle has been taken to the ford dealership and contacted ford corporate multiple times and they are unable to correct the issue and unwilling to spend enough time to witness the issue themselves.the loss of power occurs unexpectedly and could cause someone to lose power while merging onto a highway which is unsafe or cause the vehicle behind you to rear end your vehicle when the power loss occurs going up hill.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle shook violently without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fourth and fifth cylinders were misfiring and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,200.

Radiator leak on the drivers side was observed after use.mechanic stated that it was leaking where the metal core attaches to the plastic jug. Purchased ford oem radiator, replaced it and it also leaked. According to ford dealership this is an ongoing issues with this truck. Nothing is being done to correct the problem.

I have a 2015 ford f-250 super duty with a 6.7l diesel.i started having this problem intermittently and only noticed it on hot days while at slow speeds, but it has continued to get worse to the point that it happened with every re-gen, at any outside temperature and almost any speed.it all starts with the notification on the screen of clearing the exhaust filter and has an ok in the corner of the screen.not sure why the ok, since you have no choice on whether to start the process or not.during the re-gen process the engine suddenly and without any notification, looses power, starts to shake and shutter so violently that it shakes the whole truck.the only way to stop it is to put the throttle to the floor.if i let off the throttle it starts over again.the two safety concerns that it causes are the sudden loss of power and my truck suddenly slowing down without any brake lights to warn drivers behind me (i was almost rear-ended last time it happened in town) and secondly, having to keep the throttle on the floor to stop the problem and the speed the truck obtains when doing so.there are times when i cannot step on the throttle because of the speed limit, traffic or road conditions, and am forced to pull over if there is an area to so, if not i keep chugging along holding up traffic until i can.i have not pulled a trailer as of yet, but quite frankly an afraid to do so with this problem for fear of being rear-ended.it occurs at speeds from 30 to 70 mph.it has happened in town on rural roads and on the highway.it has been into ford several times and they have not been able to fix the problem. The last time it was at ford, the service manager told me ford is aware of the problem and will be coming out with a software revision, but not until april of 2016.the truck is unsafe to drive until then.

When the cleaning exhaust filter message comes on, the truck runs extremely rough and the engine gets a violent shake with loss of power. It also has a loud pinging sound. This lasts for about two minutes. The first occurrence was when merging on to the freeway with the sudden loss of power. I have had the truck in two dealers. Both state this is not normal but ford has indicated it is and will not authorize work until something breaks. The odd part is that the computer reads that all is ok. The dealer states all is not ok but the issue is something the computer isn't tracking???

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle entered limp mode. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and told the contact that the vehicle was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

Bought used f250 october 2018 with approximately 55,000 miles.went into shop for p207f on 12/10/18.installed ccv collar kit and reprogrammed pcm @ 57,104 miles.12/24/18 truck back into shop for p207f code.nox sensors replaced @ 57,473.in january 2020, check engine light and limp mode message displayed. Nox sensors replaced again for p207f codeon 1/17/20 @ 69.700 miles approx.nox sensors only a year old.per mechanic, catalytic converter is suspect - but is on indefinite back order with ford. 1/24/20 while traveling down the road @ 60mph the truck started the "death wobble".truck back in shop, bad track bar replaced. Wheel damper needs replacing, but this part is also on indefinite back order.

During the epa mandated exhaust regeneration cycle the vehicle begins to shudder uncontrollably along with power loss. This behavior began at around 5,500 miles and now does it at least every other exhaust regeneration. It happens on multiple lane country roads and city roads at around 50 to 60 miles per hour. It seems more specific to the regeneration cycle than any other driving condition or input. Temperature is between 40 and 70 degrees outside so far. Each time it happens is worse than the last. The experience is scary and could be very dangerous. I no longer let my wife drive this vehicle for fear that it may shudder her off the highway.

The vehicle runs rough, shakes violently and pings loudly when the diesel engine goes through the exhaust cleaning process.the vehicle loses power and requires 1-2 minutes to recover.the condition had occurred at various speeds but mainly when traveling 50-65 mph on multi lane highways.

The contact owned a 2015 ford f-250. While driving approximately 65 mph, the "low engine power" and "low fuel" messages appeared and the contact detected a burning odor coming from the engine compartment. The contact heard an explosion coming from the engine compartment, which he belived was the master cylinder. The contact then noticed flames under the hood and smoke trailing behind the vehicle. The contact pulled over into a parking lot and unhooked the fifth wheel camper that was being towed. Bystanders assisted the contact with pushing the vehicle away from the camper. The fire department arrived and extinguished the fire. The police was present, but no report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact also mentioned that the failure occurred three days after the fuel filters were replaced by an independent mechanic. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 61,000.

At just over 100000 miles, check engine light code p20ba came on, reductant heater, turn out as it is an f250 its not covered, but f450 and f550 are. Also as air temperatures are in high 80f, the heater is not required.now emissions are not meeting the specifications and truck completes more regens to stay clean, increasing chance of heating nearby items (straw, grass and household structure) potentially starting fires. The regens occur during highway travel and the heating affects surrounding area when parked

Emissions control, i copied this from another because it is my exact same problem. Ford needs to fix this by the known issues. I took it to the dealer to get fixed under what i thought was a tsb, i was wrong. Wanted to charge $281 just to pull the code even though i already did and told them that this was my exact problem. In 2018 ford extended the warranty period on their def heaters. The warrant included 2011, 2012 f250 thru f550. The warrant also included 2013, 2014, 2015 f 450 and f 550 but excluded the f250 and f 350. In researching this particular problem, i see a number of people who are having this exact issue with the 2015 f 250 and f 350. All of these vehicles use the exact same 6.7 power stroke diesel motor and i would think the def systems are similar if not identical. Ford should be required to include the 2013, 2014, and 2015 f 250 and f 350 in the warranty they extended to 11 years. I have owned two 2015 f 250 diesel trucks and both have had issues with the def systems. My truck currently has 106,000

Since my last complaint this truck has had to have the def heater/sending unit replaced @ 70091 miles.today the check engine light has come on again for the 4th time for a p207f code.purchased truck october 2018 with 53,000 miles. December 10, 2018 ccv collar put in @ 57,104 miles for p207f code.december 21, 2018 nox sensors replaced @ 57414 miles for p207f code.august 30, 2019 egt sensors replaced @ 65687 miles for p242a & p2031 code.january 15, 2020 nox sensors replaced @ 69332 miles for p207f code.february 4, 2020 def heater/sending unit replaced @ 70091 miles - code ??.march 8, 2020 truck has popped p207f code again @ approx 70600 miles. At all times the truck was moving when the check engine light came on. At all times the truck was taken in for service within a few days of the check engine light coming on.

Exhaust region caused extreme rough running engine and loss of power when towing up hill and passing a semi. This caused the semi to almost hit the back of my trailer. This continues to occur with every exhaust regeneration on the 6.7 powerstroke diesel.

I have noticed on several instances while traveling on the freeway between 60-70 mph when the truck goes into regen mode i get a loud valve clatter and a lossof engine power. This could be very dangerous.

I was heading from cibolo, tx to kingsville, tx.(distance 181 miles)upon arriving at destination i shut down my truck.after approximately one hour, i started my truck and the check engine light came on.i connected my obd reader and it identified the fault code p21b0 (i did not clear any codes).from my research it relates to the 'reductant level sensor 'c' circuit high'.after researching more information i started looking through the information center under the vehicle setting and noticed the def level was below half (i never got a pop up or notification from the information cluster).in the past the information cluster would display the level notification without an engine light coming on.this time it did not.i purchased some def and filled the tank.it only took two gallons of def.the engine light remained on the rest of the day driving around after filling the def tank and the def 'below half' notification also remained on.the next morning i started the truck and the engine light was off and the def 'below half' notification was gone.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving at an unknown speed, the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact performed a diagnostic and found a code that indicated that the diesel exhaust fluid reluctant heater was defective. The contact spoke with two independent mechanics and phil long ford at chapel hills (1565 auto mall loop, colorado springs, co 80920, 844-234-1769) and was informed that there was an unknown recall placed on the vehicle for the failure; however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and transferred the contact to nhtsa. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 59,000.

At times while driving, the vehicle will begin to shake and lose power. The issue occurs during different driving conditions and has happened while merging on the highway. Ford service department was told there wouldn't be a fix until 3/1/2016. It's an issue with the pcm.

2015 powerstroke 6.7 diesel engine has <15,000 miles. Hammering of engine at all speeds. Lasting less than 8-10 seconds in duration. According to tsb 15-0124 this is a valve and valve guide clearance issue that ford appears well aware of. Recommending major engine work to possibly fix design flaws. The loss of power during operation is dangerous. Vehicle has been in the shop for this issue. Powerstroke forums across country showing this to be a major issue with the 2015 6.7 diesel engine with problems starting as early as 4,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving at 70 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the exhaust system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for diagnostic testing; however, the details of the diagnosis could not be provided. The contact stated that the dealer performed a manual regeneration on the vehicle, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,300.updated 02/12/16*lj

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 mph, the navigation system failed to provide accurate directions for locations. The contact mentioned that on one occasion, the navigation system instructed to make a turn while on a bridge. The failure occurred on two occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 900.

While driving on interstate 10 just past sr129 in florida my cruise control disengaged and my throttle pedal began working intermittently.since there was no exit for about 12 miles i proceeded at the speed i could (less than 50 mph) to the next exit. I was able to limp in to the ford dealer in lake city.he looked at the truck, noted the brake lights stayed on and informed me that a little plastic tab had broken that pushed the brake light switch to the off position.he further informed me that ford does not sell that little plastic bumper and that the whole brake pedal assembly would have to be replaced.part cost ~$300 + $500 labor or about $800. I said no thanks and limped the vehicle home on the back roads since it was too dangerous to try to drive 40 - 50 mph on the interstateapparently, this is a common problem with late model fords that presents a safety issue anda major expense for no justifiable reason.the safety issue being that the enginethrottle disengages every 10 - 20 seconds while driving only due to the brake lights being on.this can cause rear end collision and other accidents for no good reason.the monetary issue is ford charging $800 when a $3 dollar plastic bumper would solve the problem that should not have happened to start with.for further info see: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/brake-light-switch-near-pedal-failure.122100/

2015 ford f250. Consumer writes in regards to fuel line leak, *ldthe consumer no longer owns the vehicle.the consumer stated the towing company was operating an unsafe vehicle.

The truck seemed to be running out of gas, surged, sputter, surge sputtered then quit running. I had 1/2 a tank.had to cost the truck a crossed speeding traffic lanes and came to a stop on an over pass.had the truck towed to the dealer.

July 21 2017 8:00 pm near chama new mexico pulling a 10,000 pound fith wheel trailer climbing a mountain pass the truck chimes flashes a warning and goes into reduced power mode with no previous warning ( very unsafe condition with location and warning) this diesel truck was designed to pull a trailer ??? after research we limped off of the mountain pass warnings were the flashed on the dash that to clean the exhaust filter we needed to drive as we did to no avail, stopped for the night unhooked the trailer land we were able to partially clean the exhaust filter with no load on the vehicle. After the trip we had the truck checked at the purchasing dealer the did a manual regeneration of the exhaust filter this is a safety concern not being able to maintain the emissions system within normal maintenance.

I have a 2015 ford f250 diesel. The check engine light came on. I had it checked and found out this is a recurring problem for ford. The code given was p20ba which is def tank reduntant heater failure. This has been a problem since 2011 for ford. I have less than 27000 miles on my truck but since it happened outside the 36 month warranty, my local dealer will not cover it. I contacted ford thru thier web site and was told it was up to the dealer whether it was covered or not. This should be covered under the environmental warranty. Thing is ford should have corrected this years ago. I also found out the 2015 f450 and f550 have been recalled for this same issue. Then why aren't the 2015 f250 and f350.

The reductant heater and sensor assembly failed causing the check engine light to illuminate and the remote start to become disabled.the vehicle was stationary.the check engine light illuminated upon attempting to start the vehicle.the vehicle is generally driven in high-traffic situations and the danger was the potential for the vehicle to enter limp mode thereby causing a potentially dangerous traffic hazard.based on a ford motor company customer satisfaction bulletin (uploaded), we contacted the ford dealership in thomasville, georgia to schedule a repair.the repair invoice has been uploaded with personally identifying data redacted.the original is available upon request.

There is a severe fuel leak when the fuel pump is powered on from a fitting on the top of the fuel tank. This is the second time it has happened to me. First instance was supposedly repaired at the dealership who suggested it was a freak occurrence possibly caused by some road trash kicked up but there was no hard evidence either offered or given even though i asked. When the tow truck came to pick up my truck the driver mentioned that this is not an isolated incident that is becoming more common. The potential for a fire and/or explosion is very great in my opinion.

Upon starting the truck and entering the road, there seemed to be an odor of gasoline. As i proceeded down the road it seemed as though the miles to empty computer number was falling faster than the distance traveled. At approx. A mile and a quarter to half i stopped at a stop sign to check on the odor. Putting the truck in park, i started toopen the door. As i started to open the door, fire erupted from both sides of the hood, in a single large ignition. As soon as the fire started the truck died instantly. As i exited the truck i could see fire behind the wheel well and black smoke began to come into the truck cab. I grabbed my lunch pail and cell phone from the dash and opened the back door to grab toddler two car seats i had in my back seat. I called 911 and requested assistance, then called my wife. Within a few minutes the front and cab were fully involved with fire. There were several very whiteexplosionswhile the truck was burning from both the engine area as well as the cab.

After driving approx1 mile on surface street leaving work, a grinding noise was heard from fuel pump under vehicle under driver location. After 30 seconds check engine light illuminated and low fuel pressure message appeared in message area. Then reduced power appeared in message window. It happened so quickly that it left me stranded in the middle of the street with traffic on both sides until police came by and assisted. The truck was only able to idle for a minute until it died in the middle of the street. Truck was taken via tow truck to local ford dealer. Once there diesel tech cleared codes and stated they could not find anything wrong.

This truck has had it's def system malfunctioning from the beginning. It shuts off the engine at random intervals, usually low speed, and displays shift to park. So far it will always restart. It never displayed any codes or turned on the check engine light until recently. When 'check engine' light finally came on, i hoped it would solve the stalling when repaired. I connected a code reader and got code p20ba, which is the def tank heater. The local ford dealers refused to honor the warranty on this, although it is the emissions system and warranted for 100,000 miles. I had it repaired elsewhere by an ase & aaa certified shop for $400 less than the dealer tried to charge. The mileage is only 60,000. It still stalls even after that problem was solved. It also only gets around 11 mpg when other trucks of the same make and model get around 18. Ford consumer services would not assist me in any way. They gave me a 'record number' or some other useless term like that but no assistance in intervening with the dealer. The def system has never worked properly- no warning of low level or warning of low level when the tank is over 3/4 full, it has been 40,000 miles since i saw the display 'cleaning exhaust filter' and other owners tell me they see it fairly frequently. Neither of the dealerships in my county will help me. It was at mullahey ford and the only thing they 'found' wrong with it was the fuel reductant heater issue i told them about. I only recently found the article about stalling being investigated by your agency. I have a $48,000+ boat anchor at this point. The vehicle displays no codes yet will not stay running. I believe ford owes me a fully repaired vehicle because this is all emissions related. I also believe they owe me reimbursement for the repairs i already paid for.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While operating the vehicle, "diesel fluid low" was displayed, the vehicle switched to the d-rate mode, and would not accelerate past 50 mph. The contact indicated that the failure was due to a faulty def- heater. The d-rating indicated that the diesel exhaust fluid was low although it was recently filled. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 100,000.

*dt

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle accelerated without warning. The contact managed to keep his foot on the brake pedal and place the vehicle in park. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, it resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to bill utter ford (4901 s interstate 35 e, denton, tx 76210, (940) 321-7400) where it was diagnosed that the power train needed a software update. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred multiple times. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 14v204000 (power train). The manufacturer was made awre of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 47,800.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. The contact stated that the gears failed to upshift and downshift and the rpms and transmission were not properly functioning each time the failure recurred. The vehicle also hesitated to pick up speed each time the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice and they were not able to replicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000. The vin was not available.

Exhaust region caused extreme rough running engine and loss of power when towing up hill and passing a semi. This caused the semi to almost hit the back of my trailer. This continues to occur with every exhaust regeneration on the 6.7 powerstroke diesel.

On interstate driving at approximately 65 mph, a vehicle cut in front of my and had to hit the brakes very hard (panic stop). The vehicle veered violently to the left as soon as the anti-lock braking system engaged and crossed the yellow center lines. Took vehicle back to ford service, took service writer for a ride to show them what it did under severe braking. Said there is definitely a problem but the end result of 2 weeks was it's a characteristic of that vehicle and the service manager said "they're not throwing parts at it to figure it out. Vehicle had less than 4,000 miles on it. I took the vehicle to another ford dealership and was told the very same thing. So i took the vehicle to a third ford dealership and was told the very same of being a characteristic of the vehicle. As a side note at all of these dealerships, the service writer i took for a ride all agreed the vehicle should not do this. Was also promised they would contact ford engineering which not one of them did. Normal driving without panic stops or very hard braking, the truck stops straight. Only when the anti-locks click in does this problem occur. We did contact ford customer care and opened a case number but they were of no help in this situation. We were told that they can't make the dealership fix this safety problem and they can't make ford call the ford engineering dept. It's something the dealership has to do.again, they determined that this was a characteristic of the 2015 f250 gas superduty as they found one other one on their lot that did the same thing. So this safety braking problem is not a concern for ford dealerships that we went to as it is a characteristic of the truck nor do they deem it necessary to contact ford engineering.

While travelling in morning rush stop and go traffic, in austin, texas i had to come to a complete stop.the truck would not stop until i applied considerable brake pressure.i came within 6 inches of the vehicle in front.i was travelling at approximately 1 to 2 mph at the time.on the return trip in the evening rush hour it was also stop and go.i had to come to a complete stop but the truck would not stop.i had to put as much brake pressure as i could to slow the truck (doing 1 mph or less).i still tapped the vehicle in front.at the time i was trying to stop the truck, i heard the engine rpm rev up and a popping noise from the engine. Taking the truck to the dealer for a check up on the issue.

I was driving my truck on 6 lane highway at highway speeds, 65-75mph. When i hit a bump in the road the entire vehicle began to shake violently. The truck was hard to control and the steering and braking of the vehicle were greatly impaired and the shaking didn't stop until i decreased the speed by at least 15-20mph. This has happened several times when either one tire hits a pothole in the road or both tires hit an uneven bridge on the highway.

We had our truck checked for recalls and service issues because of a check engine light prior to leaving on a long trip. We specifically asked if the truck was one of the brake recalls. We also have a non functioning touch screen.when the truck was examined and a oil crankcase separator trouble showed up as an extended warranty. The oil separator was replaced and no other recommendations were made.we were told to bring the truck back if the check engine light came on again as there also a fuel temperature sensor alert that might be the issue. Extended warranty alert that might need to be fixed. We left the following day for our trip and three days later our left front end developed a noise, was very hot and then it felt as though the brake was stuck. We found a national chain auto repair that would be open on the next day to examine the truck. Thankfully we were not pulling our travel trailer. The repair shop found that the left front caliper failed and the brake pads and the rotors needed repair/replacement. They examined the right front and round the caliper had started leaking there and the same repair was required.again, no recommendations had been made to fix or replace brakes had been made before the trip. Before leaving for our trip the truck had 48,188 miles and we bought it used in 2016.we have only pulled our travel trailer three times since we bought it for a total of 180 towing miles. I have researched and find other owners of these models that also have the same brake issues but like ours their vin # also are not included in the brake recall.we retained the replaced brake parts.i also have the inspection sheet from the service before our travel. The service light came back on our return and we have to return to the dealer yet again for that to be diagnosed.## vin passed ## ford f250 platinum diesel 4x4 2015 ##

Truck intermittently pulls to the left when braking, sometimes hard to the left.if not holding steering wheel tightly could pull into next lane.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving various speeds, the brakes failed to work and the check brake warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact also mentioned that the failure recurred several other times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not repaired. The dealer refused to do the repair. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where it was determined that the abs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was aware of the failure and stated that the vehicle did not qualify for the lemon law. Case number: 12138371 was provided. The failure mileage was 13,000.

Brakes tested a month ago at ford. All of a sudden no brakes and fluid everywhere. Ford said caliper just went bad 1500 dollars to repair even though was a apparent defect. Nothing should go bad that quick. Pads metal on metal with no warning. No light. No noise. Nothing. Just snapped putting myself and everyone around me in danger

F250 death wobblemy 2015 f250 pick-up truck is only three years old with 38,000 miles and it has the death wobble. When driving on the highway at 50 mph or higher, pressing the brake and hitting a bump in the road causes the vehicle to go into an uncontrollable wobble. It is called the death wobble. It happens every time on the highway. Tires and brakes are brand new - sill happens.

While driving on the freeway the truck just started violently shaking uncontrollably.the only way to stop it was to reduce the speed and to try and exit the freeway safely.the 1st time this happened was in may 2021 and since than it has happened about a dozen times. I have been replacing parts left and right trying to fix the issue, but each time we replace what we think is causing the problem it happens again. While driving to pa for work this weekend (july 22nd-july25th, 2021) it happened 3 separate times, it's very unsafe and scary as hell, when it happens.so we googled "f250's shaking violently" and was amazed at what popped up. The "ford death wobble", that describes what happened to us to a t. I can't believe ford hasn't issued a recall for this, knowing all the facts. If possible when we replace parts on our car, it's with ford dealer ship replacement parts.

When i am driving about 60 ish miles per hour and i hit a bump or like a small pot hole my truck's steering starts to shake and the entire frontend shakes so badly that i cannot control the truck until i can get it stopped.it does not do it all the time it happens all of a sudden.i have put new tires on the truck, new front end parts, had it aligned and it just keeps happening.it has been going on since the truck had 110,000 miles just out of my warranty but the ford dealer just kept telling me it was the tires.this morning it was the worst that it ever have been.

I have a 2015 f250 6.7 platinum powerstroke with 78k on it and i'm experiencing the "ford death wobble." i can not get a straight answer from anybody and i'm stick with this issue. The truck is not even safe to drive. As soon as my speed reaches around 50mph i get an uncontrollable front end shaking, to the point where the steering wheel takes 2 hands to hold onto and i have to decelerate to about 10-15mph to straighten the truck out again. I thought it was tires, so i went out and had $1,600 worth of tires put on it with an alignment, nope. Not the tires. So i took it my local mechanic, who i trust very well. He went through my front end with a fine tooth comb only to discover a worn u-joint on the four wheel drive axel which isnt the cause of the ford death wobble. He literally told me that he was at a loss for word and could not find the problem because my front end was so tight and stiff. Long story short, i called my local ford shop and they told me that ford recognizes the problem and that it's a steering dampener. Well, guess what? my 2015 f250 does not have a steering dampener!the ford service manager told me i was pretty much fu*%ed! wow! what a slap in the face!!

When going 70 mph on the highway you hit a bump and the truck goes into a death wobble.apparently is a common problem with ford super duty trucks.my truck only has 65000 miles on it.took to a mechanic and said that he sees it all the time and it costs about $1500.00 to fix.my brothers newer truck which is identical except for year model has a recall for this issue.

I was driving at 60 mph on an interstate flyover that was curving to the left and hit an expansion joint.the truck began to shake violently.i almost lost control and had to quickly slow down to around 30 mph before the shaking stopped.

Driving 55 mph on hwy 161 in ar (in motion) when i hit a rough spot about 2' bump that completely crossed the lane i was driving in, the front wheels shook so violently i was about to lose control when the steering locked up. I had to bring the vehicle to a complete stop before i could regain control of the steering. I took the truck to a front end shop and all they could find wrong was the ball joints were a little worn, i had them replaced and the truck did better for about 3,000 miles and now it's worse than ever. A truck with 66,000 miles on it should not be having this problem. Has there been any other complaints like this with ford.?

Death wobble.i hit a bump in the road and the truck shook so hard it pulled me off the road and into the grass.

Death wobble: when the vehicle is moving and hits a groove or bump (does not have to be a major groove or bump) in the road going upward of 50 mph, it will begin to shake violently.the shaking can only be stopped by a sudden and substantial reduction of speed, which adds to the danger, particularly on the highway.i have several videos of this occurring that i would like to share.the videos take place after bringing it to my local ford dealer and them claiming nothing is wrong.

Twice driving on freeways doing about 70mph the entire truck began to shake/vibrate violently. The steering wheel shakes, and the entire cab shakes like an earthquake. I had to slow down to about 40mph to get it to stop shaking.

I have experienced what has become known as the ford death wobble. My first experience with this was at less than 50,000 miles. I was exiting a freeway off ramp at about 60 mph with my steering wheel cocked just to the left. I hit a slight bump in the road and my steering wheel became violent in my hand causing me to briefly loose control and almost run off the road. This is an experience that nobody should ever have to experience. I cannot remember a time in my 55 years that i felt so hopelessly out of control of a situation. I immediately took it to a shop and had some front end parts replaced and had the front end aligned. The problem was cured for another 40,000 miles until it happened again. It happened a total of three times at freeway speeds and the only way i could make it quit was by hitting the brakes and getting down below 20 mph. Of course at freeway speeds this is very dangerous and embarrassing. Replaced several front end parts again, the problem went away again until the next time. Then again this time which is the 4th time in 150,000 miles. I do not know how i have not been killed by this very common ford problem. Unfortunately this time i have replaced almost the whole front end, had the front end aligned and the problem has now gotten so bad that i cannot even drive the truck. If i get up over 40 mph i can even feel in the steering wheel that it is right on the verge of the dreaded death wobble. I have no doubt that people have lost control and have even been killed by this issue. I talked to a gentleman at ford and he acted as if he had never heard of this issue. This must be fixed!!

I was going down the interstate at 75 miles an hour and went over a bridge expansion joint and the truck went into a violent shake. I had to fight the truck to keepit on the road. Once i slowed to under 25mph the violent shake stopped.

Was driving on the highway70 mph and changing lane i hittingthe pothole and the truck startbouncing and i have to slow down to stop the bouncing very dangerous to drive. I had a same truck back in 2005 working for the company was doing same thing pleasecan someone help ?

While going 70mph on highway i drove over an uneven paving seam on a slight left corner and truck went into a front end wobble causing me to have to pull over the side of the highway to get it to stop.

Normal driving on freeway the front of truck begins to bounce/shake vigorously like it is losing contact with the road. The only solution is to apply brakes and move vehicle to safe place to stop. This is happened several times now we have had the steering damper replaced twice and it is still happening.

Traveling at or above 60 mph when hitting over pass or bridge expansions truck will start to violently shake and go into what is called death wobble. Noted this truck has only 37,000 miles but started doing this at around 29,000 miles . It is stock truck with stock tires . Been to two ford dealers and alignment place with no positive results in fixing this problem . Truck is now at 3rd dealer who says needs $650 repairs of bushings which ford says they won't cover because truck is out of warranty by 1000 miles. Even though truck was took to dealer for same problem before warranty was out . Thanks ford . When this death wobble occurs it is very dangerous and i will not let my wife drive this truck anymore. This has happens numerous times now please do something about ford not addressing this issue.

2015 ford f-250 4x4 crew cab diesel short bed; while traveling between 50-70 mph, when the truck hits a bump or hole, the truck sometimes shakes violently unofficially explained as the super duty death wobble. Truck is uncontrollable until speed has been drastically reduced. Doing so is a hazard in itself for surrounding traffic. Ford motor company is aware of this issue and does not identify it as a problem. Up to now there has only been incidents and crashes with or without injury. No fatalities logged. My personal opinion is they will wait until someone is killed before taking action. By officially reporting this to nhtsa, i as well as the many others are hoping that ford will take responsibility and initiate a campaign to rectify this issue. I have replaced tires, shocks twice, steering stabilizer dampener, rebalanced, realigned and had a complete brake rotor and shoe replacement (all 4) to no avail. I'm in well over $2500 so far and still experiencing problems. I work 78 miles from my residence so i'm logging well over 150 miles per day.

Death wooble when hitting bump

Ford death wobble2015 f250 has 80200 miles,i ran over a bridge expansion joint on i-40 road was a straight section in tn my speed of 74 miles per hour, (cruise control) after driving 11 hrsand only 50 miles from home. I hit the typical highway bump and the front of the truck took off violently shaking left and right bouncing up and down all at the same time!jumping brakes steering for the road shoulder wasn't sure the steering was even workingi almost caused an accident slowed down from 74 to 50 front wheels and steering returned to normal truck isn't safe for travel.

The steering on my 2015 ford f250 has a very serious wobble. It occurs at highway speeds (55-70 mph), it is a very violent shaking that almost caused me to lose control of my truck. I have replaced the steering damper, shocks and steering arm ball joint. I am in the process of replacing all tie rod ends now as i am afraid to drive it over 50 mph.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving 40 mph, the steering wheel jerked as if it had been snatched out of the contact's hands. The vehicle stopped when it drove into a ditch. The contact restarted the vehicle and drove slowly to the dealer (all star ford palestine, 2929 s loop 256, palestine, tx 75801) where it was diagnosed that the traction bar failed. The manufacturer referred the contact to the dealer, who stated that they would attempt to repair the failure.the failure mileage was 21,000.

Le he reemplazado la barra del pitman y los terminales, pero contina con elproblema.i have a 2015 ford 250 and on several occasions when i'm driving 50 miles and there are irregular patches on the road or some irregularity on the street the vehicle begins to shake and i lose the steering wheel control i have to reduce the speed . I have replaced the pitman bar and terminals, but the problem continues.

Front suspension shakes violently when traveling above 50mph and striking any type of uneven road surface. Bumps, holes, groves, expansion joints, etc cause the front wheels to shake uncontrollably until the truck slows down to approximately 25mph.

I was driving my ford 2015 f-250 in motion.after stopping at the stop sign, i proceeded to enter the highway and i was starting to accelerate to highway speed.the steering wheel started to wobble a lot back and forth and i could drive the truck safely.i was able to slow down enough while steering wheel was wobbling back and forth to get the truck under control and stop. I was able to get home and park it.i took the truck to my mechanic and he told me that two ball joints are loose and they should not loose to the touch.he also told me that the tracker bar is loose to the touch.all three items should be tight.i uploaded the photo i took at the repair shop showing the ball joint.please have ford do something about this dangerous action.

Death wobble. This has happened several times now.i was driving down the highway, hit a bump, and the truck started to violently shake.i had to reduce speed to 30 mph before 8 could get it back under control and the shaking to stop.my service center replaced the tie rods, stabilizer bar, shocks and struts.none of this has resolved the issue.and it seems random as to when it happens.i can hit all kinds of potholes and bumps in the road and nothing happens.but when it does happen, you lose complete control of the vehicle.

With approximately 35,000 miles on the truck, i experienced a extremely violent oscillation in the steering. Everything in the truck was shaking and it was difficult to hold onto the steering wheel and maintain control of the vehicle until i could decrease speed to about 50mph or less.the oscillation did not happen again for approximately 6 months. Then it happened again 2 times back to back. After that i did not have the issue for more than a year. Then about 3 months ago (with roughly 49,000 miles), it started back again and has happened countless times since. When i reach 60mph the oscillation starts out light but progressively gets worse until it is in a full on "death wobble". All items in the truck are shaking around and falling in the floor. My wife will not drive the truck due to this issue and i wouldn't feel comfortable with her driving it.i am writing this report mainly for the thousands of other ford super duty owners that have experience this issue and for some, have been in accidents because of it. There are literally facebook groups created solely for the discussion of the "ford death wobble" and any potential solutions. From reports i have read, the dealerships, in many cases have not been successful in correcting the issue. Some reports state the repairs and say that it was a "band-aid" and that the issue returned shortly after the repairs. Others say that the dealers have told them that there is nothing else they can do. There also have been some reports that says it was corrected, at least for the time being. I have seen reports on vehicles as new as 2019 models with around 5,000 miles on them. This is definitely a safety related issue and i hope ford is pushed to make this right for their customers.i have videos but they are the wrong file type.date below is most recent occurrence.thanks!

Twice now in the last two weeks i have struck a bump in the road at 60 mph that caused the steering to shake so violently i had to pull over to stop it this also happened recently at 70 mph in a similar situation on interstate highway causing me to have to pull off the road in desperation to gain control

Bought this f 250 platinum new in 2015 it started having a front end wobble problem ,some call it the "death wobble' i paid to have it fixed and it has happened intermittently since then and now it is worse than ever, i cannot in good consciencesell this car like this.

Death wobble experienced by me on 5/10/19 doing 60 on rural road. Experienced the death wobble on the interstate going 65 at least 6 times the next time. A motorcycle almost crashed-ford fixed by front end alignment-experienced it again and almost lost control on the interstate. Took to ford to repair and the svc mgr suggested we file a case number with ford cas-22221345-c3v0p4 on 7/23/19, ford cust experience specialist suggested we take to another dealer, took to took to gordie boucher who said it recommends replacing both tie rods due to inner tie rod at the pitman arm has play in it and the right side upper tie rod has play it it toopreplaced left side drag link and the right side upper tie. Dealer stated worse truck they had ever driven. Death wobble happened again going 35 down hwy h in kenosha county. Everytime this happened we had to pull over to the side of the road or an off ramp on the interstate due to construction. Waiting for an off ramp is the scariest because you hope you can control the truck to make it off the interstate. My husband did research and found others replaced the following so he did the same-replace the steering shock, the stabilizing bar assembly, the track bar assembly, and the front shocks. Ford did 2 front end alignments, they turned rotors also..ford customer experience specialists keeps telling us to take to the dealer to determine the problem. Per ford, tire tread and wear are good. It appears everything my husband has done has fixed the problem, but we will see when we drive down the road on our next interstate trip. Right now we have paid out $1,675and my husband has done all the work. We are scared to death that something is going to happen. We are unsure what steps we should be taking, but we are afraid we could die and no one knows about this.

My truck has gone into what they call a death wobble when driving at highway speeds going over a bridge expansion joints. This has happened a few times.front end shakes violently causingme to drive off the highway on to the berm.i cut off the car next to my during one of these occurrences almost hitting his car.the latest occurrence was 6/17/19.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. The contact stated while driving 50 mph, the steering wheel began to shake forcefully. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to park on the side of the road for a few seconds and continued to drive to his destination. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the steering damper to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 20e090000 (steering, suspension, equipment) however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 97,500.

This is the second 2015 ford f-250 we have driven with the death wobble.the first one was a test drive before we purchased the one we have.we were driving it on the interstate and hit a bump and it started shaking profusely and was very scary.i could see this causing a very bad accident.we figured this one had something severely wrong with it and wasn't in the best condition.it has 60k on it.the we have now has 150k on it and about 5k ago it did the same thing.we took it in for repairs and they replaced the components in the steering that seemed to be of issue.the issue is better but still has a bad shake in the front end when hitting a bump.this seems to be very common with these trucks up to model year 2019.ford should issue a recall and fix the problem with these trucks.

Hello,on highway going between 60-70 miles an hour, it goes into a death wobble that nearly threw truck off road. Very scary situation. Appears from reading online this had been an ongoing issue with ford f250 pickup trucks from reading online consumer complaints.

While driving down the interstate under normal conditions, the truck unexpectedly starts what is called the "death wobble".the steering wheel and the truck starts to shake uncontrollably, and the only solution to fix the problem is come to a very slow speed or a dead stop.this is very unsafe, especially when it happens on a major interstate.there are a ton of complaints out there regarding this matter, and several videos out there regarding this matter.ford needs to issue a recall on this matter, as it is extremely unsafe, and someone will be injured or die because of this.my truck is pampered, and only has 55k on it, so this isn't because of abuse.

While driving on the freeway, the front end of the truck will start violently shaking back and forth, losing control of the steering.this is only corrected by drastically reducing speed on the freeway.

I have been experiencing what people refer to as the death wobble.truck starts to violently shake. This happened a few months prior then went away. Now it is not stopping

I have experienced an extreme shimming (death wobble) numerous times while driving at speed on the freeway. After going over a bridge expansion joint or just a rough spot in the highway, my truck starts shimming so violently that i have to brake hard to slow the truck until it stops. This happened to me twice yesterday (7/14/17). The first time it happened i almost caused an accident behind me when i applied the brakes. The second time i was in the slow lane and was able to get on the shoulder to decelerate. This was the first time my wife was with me when this happened and she said if she was driving she would have lost control of the truck. I understand from speaking with other ford f-250 4x4 owners that this is a common issue. Is anything being done to remedy this issue. I did not see any recall for this on your site or on ford's site. I have an appointment at the local ford dealer, next wednesday to have them check the front suspension for any defects but i wanted to add my name to what i am sure is a long list of people with the same complaint. Does somebody have to die because of this issue before it is addressed?

While driving at highway speeds and encountering road irregularities, truck enters into "death wobble" condition whereby truck shakes violently until speed is reduced to <30 mph.suspension was rebuilt 3 months ago by ford dealer and condition has returned.in these situations the vehicle is extremely difficult to control and could easily result in total loss of control of the vehicle at speeds of 60 mph and greater.

While driving on the freeway at approximately 60-70 mph i drove across a bridge transition point when out of the blue my truck began to wobble excessively to the point i had to merge to my right and slow down to under 40 mph to get the wobble to stop.cars behind could see i was in some sort of trouble and they would not pass me.once the wobble stopped i proceeded to merge back onto the freeway and once again the wobble started as soon as i passed over the bridge transition.again i applied my brakes and moved over to the right for my safety as well as others.the mileage on my truck at that time was 20,780 miles.i took the truck to my ford dealer and explained the situation to them.they inspected the truck and replaced the steering damper assembly. The problem did go away until august 19, 2019 with 34,052 miles when it happened again in the same location.i returned to the dealer again and they replaced the steering damper again.it resolved the issue for 1695 miles and it happened again several time at different locations on different freeways.this time replacing the damper did not work.they also told me i needed to have them install a caster/camber adjuster shim to resolve the problem.that also did not work.they have readjusted the camber and caster with worse results.they now tell me that i need to replace my tires which still have 6/32 of tread left on them.the truck has now been at the dealership for six weeks with no fix available.they put a set of tires and rims off of another new truck and said the problem went away.so what there telling me is i will have to replace my tires every 20,000 miles which be ridiculous.ford has a big problem that they don't want to admit.i believe a dual steering stabilizer unit will fix this problem but they don't want to admit that would work.this needs to be a recall asap to savelives.

Vehicle at highway speeds will begin to shake violently.

Going down the road and started experiencing the death wobble. Could barely hold on to the steering wheel and felt like a tire was gonna come off.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. The contact stated while driving 50 mph, the vehicle experienced the death wobble. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was driven to his destination. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the front steering damper needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The contact called cole ford llc (410 e chicago st, coldwater, mi 49036, (517) 278-5661) and made the dealer aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000. The vin was not available.

I recently purchased a 2015 f250 super duty.it was a clean title no accidents.shortly after purchasing the truck i was driving between 43 -55 mph on a county road when my steering wheel and in fact the entire truck started shaking so violently i was having trouble maintaining control.i managed to slow down quickly and it stopped.after several more occurrences all at the same speeds i took my truck to a specialty wheel and alignment shop and paid nearly 1,000 dollars to have this fixed.after new bushings, new tires, new shocks, new steering and new alignment it abated for 3 months.it is now back and as scary as ever.i had a 2004 f250 super duty and never had this kind of issue.i have now learned this is a known problem that ford will not acknowledge or even recall.i may have to sell this truck because of the danger to the rest of my family.there is also a class action law suit over this known and very dangerous problem.please look into this before more money and more damage is caused.if you have not been in a truck that does this come to texas and take a ride with me.i promise it will scare you into action.this has been my problem since march.it is always on rougher roads or after hitting uneven pavement.

When at a speed of 45plus when a bump is hit or if raining and a water puddle truck wobbles out of control.

When i hit a bump at highway speeds and the steering wheel is at a slight angle the vehicle starts shaking violently and is hard to control. Goes away after slowing down but nearly hit the vehicle next to me. Took it to a mechanic and he said this is a common problem and there's really no permanent fix to it. He replaced my steering damper but still does it.

While driving on local roads the steering wheel starts shaking, the front wheels are wobbling and causing the truck to become unstable.in order to maintain control i have to slow the vehicle down until the wobbling stops.it seems to happen on very smooth and flat highways. It first happened around two years after i bought the truck new but i didn't think it was an issue as it only happened on one certain stretch of road that i traveled occasionally.in the last year it has started happening more and more often causing me concern that the truck could become uncontrollable.the truck has been well maintained and has never been used off road or hauled/pulled heavy loads.the stock suspension is not modified/lifted.

My 2015 f250 has developed the notorious ford death wobble. When the truck hits a bump, bridge joint, or any large enough deformity in the road it will cause the truck to shake violently and lose all steering control. This has happened 4 separate times now and it is only getting more frequent. I have booked an appointment with a ford service department on 24jun2020 to have the suspension looked at. Unfortunately, i have not been able to document the incident yet, but i have had others in the vehicle with me when it has happened.

While driving my 2015 f250 the front end began to shimmy and shake violently at 50 mph. Truck was wobbling all over and to begin quick deceleration and slight braking. Once truck dropped to about 20 mph the symptoms stopped. Looked over truck and saw no obvious issues .i drove slowly to repair shop and they checked over front end and stated would need traction rod, stabilizer and ball joints as this is known issues on 2005-2019 super duty vehicles.ford dealer said they were unaware of any recall or issues but could check it out. If the other garage was corrected it would around $800 to 900 to repair. As i left and made right turn it again shimmied badly and i return to dealer. They suggested leaving truck and they could get to it in a few days. I feel this unacceptable from ford for a obvious safety issue. Has the nhtsa been aware of this issue and is a recall to protect the consumer large investment in order?these trucks are not cheap and ford touts teh moto, built ford tough>please research and advise if there is a recourse for the consumers that are experiencing these safety issues.you can contact me at: [xxx]. Thanks for allowing me to express my concern for myself and others on the road that possibly receive life threatening injuries.best and hope to here from you[xxx]parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

The vehicle front end begins to shake violently, sometimes with a bump in the road, or when i apply the brakes.the problem seems to be getting worse.very noticeable at highway speeds.mileage around 130,000, tires showed wear outside edge, new tires from the dealer had to be re-balanced around 50,000 after i bought them, way out of balance.the shaking moves the steering wheel so much so that i could easily loose control if i was not paying attention, very dangerous.

Ford f250 death wobble:hello, i have a 2015 for f250 vin# [xxx], upon reaching speeds of 60 to 80mph the vehicle uncontrollably starts shaking and wobbling. I have contacted ford and they have not offered to check the vehicle for any defects.please help. "death wobble" my truck is experiencing a violent shacking of the steering whee ( death wobble) when you hit a bump or pothole at highway speeds.

Severe and repeated bouncing of steering tires. Has happened numerous times since i have owned the truck. Ford's response has been nothing more than replace the steering dampener. Is not a fix, only masks the root cause of the problem. Now the vehicle is off warranty and they still won't/can't fix the problem. I'm afraid to let other family members drive the vehicle for fear of causing an accident. It happens anywhere between 45-70 mph and completely without warning. Requires immediate lowering of speed in traffic to get it to stop. Numerous close calls people swerving to getaway from my vehicle when condition occurs. Please demand a recall, this is notsomething new and fmc is very aware of it.

The vehicle will start to shake violently when traveling at speeds of 30-50 miles an hour if the road is not smooth.it does not happen all the time. Ford replaced the steering damper but that did not resolve the issue. They are now saying that it may be the traction bar. This is a safety issue as the front end shakes so violently that it almost cause loss of control. This should not happen with a vehicle that only has 107000 miles.

Death wobble. Steering wheel shaking uncontrollably.

Whenever i hit a bump going 30 plus miles an hour the front end shakes violently in the steering wheel jumps out of my hand. I have changed the shocks balance the tires and inspected all the suspension components and i cannot find the problem.

Vehicle steering begins violent wobble at mid and highway speeds. This has progressively gotten worse and is normally initiated by expansion joint and road features. The wobble becomes uncontrollable and is a serious risk to the driver and adjacent vehicles.

The "death wobble" has happened at least 6 times over the last 6 months. Front end violent shakes after hitting bump above 60 mph.

There is an issue with the truck losing steering when encountering bumpy roads or multiple potholes in a row whenever speed is above 30 mph.at highway speeds i have literally lost control enough that i cross lanes, uncontrollably because i have encountered defects in the road surface.i have traveled across the same road surface in other vehicles at similar speeds and have no noticable effects.the 2015 f250 sd has the same loss in control every time.

This truck has what is known as in the internet as death wobble, i got the vehicle recently from a dealer with no info on the manner. The truck loses control briefly when over 60 miles per hour when the front tires drive through small holes or bumps on the road, more common on the highway. Has happened multiple times, tbis specific incident happened on the highway over 60 miles per hour, lost control briefly, had to significantly slow down to regain control.

2015 ford f 250 has death wobble was driving 70mph the steering has a uncontrollable shaking and bouncing in the steering has to slow vehicle to 30 mph to get shaking to stop and is very dangerous to do in heavy traffic

I was traveling down hwy 75 north at 70to 75 mph when i hit a series of bumps in succession and it sent the truck into a highspeed wobble which would not stop. I changed lanes thinking it was the road but it continued making steering difficult. I slowed down rapidly and moved off the road in traffic to a stop finally on the shoulder. Everything checked out and i proceeded on my way. This was very abnormal it was a excessively violent shake that did not stop until i stopped.

While driving over 60mph and hit a bump the truck goes into a violent front end wobble causing the whole truck to vibrate. It continues until the truck is slowed to approximately 30mph . It has happened many times., i took it to the ford dealership they tell me i need to replace tie rod, drag line and bar, track bar and steering shock. The truck only has 38,608 miles.

Started having death wobble last year at about 95000 miles.put new tires on it, new rotors, trackbar, draglink, tie rods.i think it is a lot more controllable but it still bump steers in curves and the steering wheel shakes violently when hitting a bump but doesn't break into death wobble.i've just reported three vehicles that have this problem all in the last year.

The first time it occurred the truck was five years old i was driving on an interstate highway at highway speed, passed over an expansion joint of a bridge, entire truck began to shake uncontrollably, i thought a had blown a tire, but as i slowed to pull to the side of the road, the truck "smoothed out" and i was able to continue on my way. However it happened again two more times that trip, each at highway speed (55-75) and would be "triggered" by small bumps in the road.i took it to a local garage they rotated the tires, did a front end alignment and replaced the steering dampener.problem continued to reoccur. Has been back to a different garage 4 additional times: tie rod, drag link, track bar joints/bushings, shocks, all have been replaced, however while at highway speeds small bumps in the road continue to induce uncontrollable front end shaking. So far i have paid just under $2500, the problem continues and my mechanic is unsure what is left to try to correct the problem.online search reveals this to be the "ford death wobble".

Hit a bump on the interstate at 70mph speed. Truck started shaking uncontrollably. I had to come to a complete stop to gain control of the vehicle. It was very scary. I was on us-290e/houston tx.

Steering gear is moving about 2 inches wear on left front tire.

When truck hits a bump at highway speeds, especially in a left hand curve and down hill slope, it starts shaking violently. It becomes hard to steer and braking hard only makes the problem worse.you can only left off the gas and slow down hoping you can keep it on the road until it stops. It happened twice on our family vacation with my wife and kids in the truck.they feared for their lives.after that trip the dual steering stabilizer, 2"lift and adjustable track bar were installed.it took 6 months of replacing different parts, alignments, balancing tires, modifying suspension to finally correct the problem at a cost of over $2,600.00.

My truck is experiencing the "death wobble" it starts at speeds as slow as 20mph and gets very bad and very hard to control starting at 60mph. The truck shakes violently and feels like it is about to shake apart on any highway or street. It does it in turns and while driving straight. I have a video of it happening but this site wont allow me to upload it.

Hit a bump on interstate and truck began shaking violently as if it were about to come apart.slowed down to 30 mph (on the interstate!) and the shaking stopped.recently had work done on the steering damper and other suspension elements.unsure if this fix worked.

Experiencing a "death wobble". At speeds of 50mph or more, on paved highways and streets, when hitting a bump a just the right angle, the front end will begin to shake violently. If feels like the entire front of the vehicle is coming apart. Episode may last as long as 15 seconds. Have replaced the front shocks, steering stabilizer, and numerous other parts as recommended by tipton motors (brownsville, texas ford dealership) and problem still exists.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving over 65 mph across bumps in the road, the vehicle shook violently and vibrated. The contact indicated that the shaking and vibration would cease after the speed was reduced to less than 45 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 80,000.

My truck starts to shaking violently when you go over a hump or a pothole in the roads at a speed over 50 miles per hour, i believe believe the issue it has is the death wobble

When at a speed of 45plus when a bump is hit or if raining and a water puddle truck wobbles out of control.

When i was going about 70 mph hit a bump in the road it started shaking uncontrollably till i about stopped do scary my little girl started crying ...there needs to be a recall on something before someone gets killed.....

Hello,on highway going between 60-70 miles an hour, it goes into a death wobble that nearly threw truck off road. Very scary situation. Appears from reading online this had been an ongoing issue with ford f250 pickup trucks from reading online consumer complaints.

My truck has the death wobble on the front end. Hit a hole yesterday going 70mph and almost caused a wreck. Ford needs to take care of this.

While driving down the highway at 75 miles an hour i passed over a bridge and my ford truck started shaking violently. I had to slow down to get it under control.this has continued to happen while driving at any speed when passing over bumps going over bridges etc. The only way to stop the shaking is to quickly slow down endangering me and everyone else. This violent shaking happens every time we drive the truck.

Front suspension shakes violently when traveling above 50mph and striking any type of uneven road surface. Bumps, holes, groves, expansion joints, etc cause the front wheels to shake uncontrollably until the truck slows down to approximately 25mph.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle struck a bump in the road and shook violently without warning. The vehicle was taken to all star ford-kilgore (903-984-2006, located at 1615 us-259, longview, tx 75602) where it was diagnosed that the shocks and tires needed to be replaced. The tires and the shocks were replaced, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed the dealer's diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.

Bought this f 250 platinum new in 2015 it started having a front end wobble problem ,some call it the "death wobble' i paid to have it fixed and it has happened intermittently since then and now it is worse than ever, i cannot in good consciencesell this car like this.

Traveling on interstate 4 in orlando fl at approximately 55 mph. Hit a rough spot in the road. Front end started shaking violently and steering wheel was impossible to hold on to. Slowly slowed down and shaking eventually stopped.

I was driving my truck on 6 lane highway at highway speeds, 65-75mph. When i hit a bump in the road the entire vehicle began to shake violently. Twice now in the last two weeks i have struck a bump in the road at 60 mph that caused the steering to shake so violently i had to pull over to stop it this also happened recently at 70 mph in a similar situation on interstate highway causing me to have to pull off the road in desperation to gain control

Whenever i hit a bump going 30 plus miles an hour the front end shakes violently in the steering wheel jumps out of my hand. I have changed the shocks balance the tires and inspected all the suspension components and i cannot find the problem.

Truck start shaking violently at 60 miles per hour at random times on random days, also known as the death wobble

At highway speeds the truck will start shaking violently with what seems to be referred to as the death wobble online.this started in may of this year.the truck has been to the dealer to fix this issue at least 3 times and is there again.i will obtain the paperwork from the dealer.i have video's of this, one from may 11 prior to the first fix, one on june 25th after the next fix and another one on august 28th.prior to the august 28th video, the dealer had made contact with ford on june 25th to start a hotline case.ford and the dealer said it's ok to keep driving it and not to bring it back to them until july 13th.after dropping this truck off on the 13th, they kept the truck until august 27th because they were working with ford.this vehicle is not safe to drive.when it starts the death wobble, it will not stop before slowing down below 50 mph, in some cases even further than that.it is not something that would come thru in pictures but i can send you links to the video's i have.

Numerous times since i bought the pickup i have experienced the death wobble. I bought the pickup oct. 2019 and have put 6k miles. I've had the tires checked but was told all tires we fine. I've had them rotated too. The times this has happened i've been on the freeway going about 60 to 70 miles per hour. If i hit some type of transition or uneven area on the freeway it begins to shake violently and i have to quickly maneuver to the shoulder without causing an accident. It has become more frequent and i am frightened that the wheel will fly off or i'm going to end up slamming into another vehicle or maybe even the median wall . The only way that the shaking stops is if i slow down under 50 miles per hour. Then and only then i can continue on and pick up speed, but has happened shortly after back to back to back.

The "death wobble" has happened at least 6 times over the last 6 months. Front end violent shakes after hitting bump above 60 mph.

Going down the road and started experiencing the death wobble. Could barely hold on to the steering wheel and felt like a tire was gonna come off.

552(b)(6). *cc

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed over a bridge, without warning, the vehicle began to shake uncontrollable. The contact took his foot off the accelerator pedal, coasted the vehicle to the shoulder of the road, and engaged the brake pedal which stopped the vehicle from shaking and the vehicle resumed normal driving. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the failure needed to be diagnosed, and to bring the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact mentioned nhtsa campaign number: 20e090000 (steering, suspension, equipment) as a possible solution to the failure however, the vin was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.

I was driving at 60 mph on an interstate flyover that was curving to the left and hit an expansion joint.the truck began to shake violently.i almost lost control and had to quickly slow down to around 30 mph before the shaking stopped.

I have been experiencing what people refer to as the death wobble.truck starts to violently shake. This happened a few months prior then went away. Now it is not stopping

While driving at highway speeds my steering wheel shakes very violently when hitting bumps in road the shaking doesn't go away till i get vehicle slowed down to about 20 mph doing this on a interstate is very dangerous. This is happening more frequently on 10/7/20 this happened and it shook so bad air cleaner came off and vehicle lost power and stopped on highway. Vehicle had to be towed to a dealer.they found the maf sensor became dirty when air filter came off so they clean it test drove vehicle and verified vehicle shaking. They said suspensions looked good but had slight wear on track bar ball joint. They wanted to replace the steering damper and i showed them that it was replaced on 10/6/20for the same shaking problem. I asked if this would repair the shaking they said they were not sure but it would eliminate it as a possibility. I declined their guessing game at my expense. This shaking problem is going to get someone hurt or killed and ford needs to get a cure for this problem

2015 ford f 250 has death wobble was driving 70mph the steering has a uncontrollable shaking and bouncing in the steering has to slow vehicle to 30 mph to get shaking to stop and is very dangerous to do in heavy traffic

2015 ford f-250. Consumer writes in regards to failed michelin tires on vehicle. *ldthe consumer stated the tires have failed on 3 different occasions. The first time the tire was shredded. The last two occasions they were found to be cracked around the bead of the tires, after the rims were removed.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving various high speeds, the tire pressure monitor alert system malfunctioned. The contact stated that walnut creek ford (1800 n main street, walnut creek, california 94565) was made aware of the failure, but could not determine the source of the failure. The dealer speculated that it may have been a radio frequency interference. The vehicle's voyager system was replaced by an independent mechanic, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with case number: cas-15301488. The failure mileage was 31,873.

Bought this f 250 platinum new in 2015 it started having a front end wobble problem ,some call it the "death wobble' i paid to have it fixed and it has happened intermittently since then and now it is worse than ever, i cannot in good consciencesell this car like this.

Death wobble. I've replaced the whole front end, i've tried out new tires, had the alignment done and i'm still getting death wobble. It has caused myself and my girlfriend to almost lose our lives on several occasions. It's a safety hazard and will cause someone to lose their life one day.

Going down the road and started experiencing the death wobble. Could barely hold on to the steering wheel and felt like a tire was gonna come off.

The contact owned a 2015 ford f-250. The contact stated their husband was driving at 70 mph, the vehicle was in cruise control and the driver attempted to get out of cruise control by depressing on the brakes, however, the cruise control did not disengage and the vehicle began to accelerate. The driver attempted to manually turn off the cruise control from the steering wheel but it failed and continued to accelerate. The contact attempted shifting out of the drive gear shift position and taking the key out of the ignition to turn off the vehicle but the vehicle still was accelerating in speed which caused the vehicle to crash and hit the rear end of the vehicle in front.both of the driver's feet were on the brake pedal where excessive force was used but the vehicle continued to accelerate leading to a crash. The contact mentioned that the vehicle independently increased in speed up to 100 mph or more during the failure.the vehicle was finally able to stop once it crashed into a guard rail. The front driver's side tire and door were detached from the vehicle. The air bags did deploy. No warning lights illuminated from the vehicle. The driver sustained injuries for a fractured left kneecap from the dashboard collapsing and bruises on their left leg and chest. The contact sustained injuries as well with a broken left big toe on their foot and bruises on their leg and upper chest. Medical treatment was at the scene and the ambulance did take the contact and the driver to a local hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard where it was deemed a total loss. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximate 172,000.

We have two trucks a 2015 [xxx]and 2016 [xxx] f250 trucks financed through ford. Both ac evaporators have gone out and ford is saying there was a design flaw and they are not producing anymore until it is redesigned. They dont know when that will be or if it will be recalled for this. So i am a landscape company in florida and our crews have no ac until who knows when. Is there something you can do to help express the redesign or recall. We still have to make these payments and a/c is not an option. We are considering renting trucks for now. However, we are still making these payments.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *cc

Since my last complaint this truck has had to have the def heater/sending unit replaced @ 70091 miles.today the check engine light has come on again for the 4th time for a p207f code.purchased truck october 2018 with 53,000 miles. At all times the truck was moving when the check engine light came on. At all times the truck was taken in for service within a few days of the check engine light coming on.

I have noticed on several instances while traveling on the freeway between 60-70 mph when the truck goes into regen mode i get a loud valve clatter and a lossof engine power. This could be very dangerous.

When i was going about 70 mph hit a bump in the road it started shaking uncontrollably till i about stopped do scary my little girl started crying ...there needs to be a recall on something before someone gets killed.....

This incident happened 3 times and each time we took the 2015 diesel truck to the dealer. They hooked it up to their testers and no finding. Our truck shook, spuddered and heard a knocking sound (clicking).this incident happened suddenly. It is continueing. The dealer assures us that the problem will be fixed when they can see the problem on their testers. They also informed us that they have not heard any directiives from higher up about this type of problem. Diesels are supposed to be super. This is my first ford diesel and i'm not feeling any love. My 2010 chevy traverse is running super.

My truck starts to shaking violently when you go over a hump or a pothole in the roads at a speed over 50 miles per hour, i believe believe the issue it has is the death wobble

Upon turning out of our driveway, they turned right onto a public road began to accelerate then let off. The accelerator did not let go it began increasing speed causing panic they hit a ditch and flipped over upside down the accelerator was still wide open until the motor shut itself off

My truck has had a windshield leak for some time . Approximately since about 38,000 miles. I took it to gabriel jordan ford in livingston texas where i purchased the truck new and the service manager failed to record the fix into their system. And over time without my knowledge rain has ran down my the inside of the cab and ruined my sync system disabling it . The dealership refuses to acknowledge my complaint and so i am writing to you to express my disappointment in your product. Because of the water there is rust starting inside the cab on the passenger side kick panel and a moldy smell . I because of this issue i am considering not buying from ford in the future because of poor workmanship.

The contact owns a 2015 ford f-250. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the button for the panel roof was pressed. While the panel roof was sliding backwards, the mechanism fractured and the sliding roof glass came off the track. The vehicle was taken to stanley ford gilmer (622 us hwy 271 n, gilmer, tx 75644, (903) 843-2521) where it was diagnosed that the plastic tracks fractured. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000. The vin was not available.

While going 70mph on highway i drove over an uneven paving seam on a slight left corner and truck went into a front end wobble causing me to have to pull over the side of the highway to get it to stop.

Death wobble

Hello,on highway going between 60-70 miles an hour, it goes into a death wobble that nearly threw truck off road. Very scary situation. Appears from reading online this had been an ongoing issue with ford f250 pickup trucks from reading online consumer complaints.

Truck start shaking violently at 60 miles per hour at random times on random days, also known as the death wobble

Front suspension shakes violently when traveling above 50mph and striking any type of uneven road surface. Bumps, holes, groves, expansion joints, etc cause the front wheels to shake uncontrollably until the truck slows down to approximately 25mph.

If the truck hits bumps on the highway, on or off a bridge for example, the front wheels shake violently and i mean violently and has happened 40 plus times in 6 months. All front end parts are tight and all tie rods are new.shocks are new stabilizer shock has been replaced 3 times. Each time its replaced problem goes away, or seems to for a couple of weeks. It happens on the highway only , 60-70 mph. I travel some regular routes so i have learned where to try to avoid. Problem started at 92,000 miles. Truck now has 108,000 miles on it. I purchased the truck with 36,000 miles on it. I am scared to drive it but cannot afford anything else. Thanks

When i was going about 70 mph hit a bump in the road it started shaking uncontrollably till i about stopped do scary my little girl started crying ...there needs to be a recall on something before someone gets killed.....

I purchased a set of federal mt 33x12.50x20 mud terrians and at four months and only 14000 miles all four tires the belts began to separate and had one bad blow out

Delinte dx10 tires have tread separation. Had the defect not been discovered there would have been a blowout. Tire size is lt275/75r18 made by sentury tire, dx11 tires had a recall in april 2020

I was driving at 60 mph on an interstate flyover that was curving to the left and hit an expansion joint.the truck began to shake violently.i almost lost control and had to quickly slow down to around 30 mph before the shaking stopped.
