The contact owns a 2016 ford f-250 sd. While the vehicle was parked at home, the contact noticed dark gray smoke billowing out the windows of the vehicle. The contact opened the driver side door and noticed the seats were on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire and noticed wires in the seat. The fire department unhooked the vehicle battery, but was unaware of what caused the fire. The vehicle was towed to a local collision lot. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000. The vin was not provided.

Backup camera and brake lights inoperable/intermittent due to water in original ford wiring harness pigtails, located on underside exterior of vehicle. Warranty shows all wiring harnesses and connectors as covered. Should be covered under warranty purchased ford premium esp warranty up to 100,000 miles on odometer, but work to fix the issues are being refused by ford service dept because of "water intrusion", despite being exposed to road rain water. Called ford warranty claims department and was given a case number. Was told they would contact my email the next day (it's been two days) on possible warranty resolution. Ford wants to charge me for the repair meanwhile, which i refused. Now, the brake lights work only part of the time (come on and stay on for periods of time), the backup camera is preventing me from seeing anything behind me. I'm afraid of being rear-ended or backing into anything or anyone. Also, ford made me pay the $100 warranty deductible despite work not being resolved. And, original wiring harness which was attached to the vehicle is now dangling under the truck as the tech broke all of the pieces that attach the wiring in place to the vehicle.

I bought a new f250 sd 6.7l in 2016. It has 53,000m on it. Jan 2019 reductant heater failed, ford would not pay for it. Fortunately my ext warranty did after $100 deductable. Feb 2019 my truck while driving on city streets it gave the dash warning : chiming sound, no oil pressure, high temp, service advance trac, air bag, battery, and after stopping nothing was overheating, and oil was at proper level it would not turn over. It locked the starting system out. Towed to shop, waited 6 hrs then shop said it was from suspected corroded bcm connector. The shop turned that in to my extended warranty and they declined the claim due to corrosion. Ford has a bulletin out on it happening but refused to pay for it. $1000 repair bill+ $130.00 for the diagnosis. They are not even sure it was corrosion, but suspects the bcm corroded connector. They reset the codes, test drove it and gave it back to me.i will never buy a ford product again.

I was driving down the highway and all of a sudden twice within 10 miles of each other my truck started violently shaking alost sending me into another lane and losing control.had to slow down almost to a stop before it would quit.

At 82000 miles had a shimming in the front end occur. Was not always present while driving but at times the steering wheel would start shaking making it hard to maintain in the road.

The steering wheel is shaking badly to the point that the car needs to be stopped immediately. It is extremely hard to do when it happens on the highway. In addition to steering wheel shake, both front wheels are wobbling and the car starts to shake.

Sunroof exploded at 0530 in the morning the truck is only 9 months old and the sunroof has never been openeddealer saying ford does not cover under bumper to bumper nor under the extensive extended warranty we purchased

Vehicle experiences severe bounce between 70-75 mph.ford has confirmed issue and has stated it is a "characteristic of the vehicle".issue was reported to dealer and ford at time of purchase.bounce is very pronounced and vehicle is not safe during operation.

Had 2 sets of these tires installed under warranty due to excessive vibration at highway speeds caused by separation of the tread plies within the tire.
