I was driving down fm 624 when i came up to an 18 wheeler that was coming to a stop. I stepped on the brake pedal and nothing happened, the pedal was solid like i had brakes but the truck didn't respond. I hit the back of the semi at about 40mph and tore the front end off my truck and the airbags didn't go off. Ford said that there was a traction control code at the time of the accident but that did not affect the stopping and even thou the front bumper moved during the impact it didn't take a direct hit so that's why the airbag didn't go off. There is enough damage to my truck that everything from the windshield forward needs to be replaced including the front bumper. The state trooper who worked the accident got in my truck and stepped on the brakes (with the truck off) and said there is nothing wrong with my truck, but also he could not tell me the difference between power brakes and a hydro-boost brake system. Informed him that he needs to get some schooling before he can tell if the hydro-boost system on my truck is good or not....

The contact owns a 2013 ford f-250 sd. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated from the initial purchase of the vehicle. The dealer (imperial ford, 8 uxbridge rd, mendon, ma 01756, 1-(888) 814-8373) who sold the vehicle stated that it was standard for the indicator to remain illuminated. The dealer provided no diagnosis to determine if there was a falure with the air bags. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available.

The inner core of the ignition switch is bad which when moved up or down by movement of the truck going down the road causes the dash lights ,gps, radio and any other electrical part to stop working , also if you have a memory adjust seat it will start going forward and back sporadically which in turn tightens up the seat belt to extreme pressure , which is very distracting to the driver , which in turn could cause an accident . Discussed this with ford and the response was it was not broken so they were not going to fix it. Someone has to be killed before they do anything for a $2.00 itemor the electrical system has to catch on fire before they will do anything . Some one needs to force them into fixing there products

I have a 2013 f-250 sd. Here is the problem, randomly while you are driving all of the gauges on the dashboard go dead.in addition, all the alert lights (check engine, traction, etc.) light up. Furthermore, the message display reads "serviceadvancetrac".if the truck is turned off while in this state, the truck will not start again for at least 12 hrs. I have had it in for diagnostics and service to two different ford dealers for a total of four times since november.yet, the problem is still not fixed.it is an ongoing issue and ford cannot seem to tell me what the problem is.

2013 ford f-250 super duty.consumer writes in regards to vehicle electrical system issues.the consumer stated the radio would sometimes come on with the key and would only work on one am channel and on fm channel and it would not turn off. The only way to turn off the radio, was to turn the engine off and re-start it.the stereo system had a bad reception. The fuel gauge was stuck on 1/4 tank and he took several tries shutting the vehicle on and off to get it to work the door alarm worked intermittently. The dash lights come on and go off intermittently at night, the cruise control lights illuminated, the def notice dash display came on last week and alerted the consumer he had 500 miles left until he needed to fill up again.

Radiator failure, high pressure coolant leak which is not discernible by common indicators. Radiator cracked and all coolant was lost while vehicle was being operated, when cooling system not under load there was no significant visible leak. This poses a risk of catastrophic engine failure, posing a significant danger to the public in that said vehicle could loose power while being operated under severe conditions. This make and model of vehicle is commonly used for commerce and public safety. Design of radiator is defective and prone to failure.

At less than 50k miles, the radiator developed a leak.coolant will leak anywhere the truck is parked, causing an environmental concern.ford is aware of the numerous complaints about this issue, but refuses to acknowledge the problem and enact a permanent solution.this will cost me over $1700 to repair, on a truck that is only 3 years old.

Stalling while driving at normal speeds. After taking it to gullo dealership while in tx, the dealership charged us $2100 and "fixed" the problem after replacing the pcm and rcm modules.the next day, the truck stalled on the highway!took it back to gullo dealership in conroe tx and after another week and help from ford service they still can't fix the problem.

Radiator leaking.excessive exhaust cleaning (every 200 miles exactly). Turbo gauge pegscomplaints 2 and 3 are repeated complaints and have not been figured out by ford.

Egr and egr cooler failed at 21,000 miles. Dealer fixed under warranty 3/22/16. Same parts have failed again at 46,000 miles and is out of warranty. Searching the web shows this is a common repeat failure for the 6.7 diesel and costs $2,000 for repair. Engine trouble code is p0401. The parts or design must be defective as they only last for about 20,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2013 ford f-250 sd. When the vehicle was started, the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the heating assembly failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

Radiator failure due to poor design. Leaking at the plastic seams under drain petcock. Thousands if not hundreds of thousands of these units are failing years before they should. Some consumers spend 50k+ on these trucks and yet are forced to repair the leaking radiator at a substantial cost out of pocket after the warranty expires.

Had check engine light come on. Brought to ford service 3 times. The last time they quoted me 11,145 to fix saying water was in fuel. I thought it was under warranty, which they claim it is not. My insurance company sent by an engineer, which he sent fuel to independent lab. Fuel results came back negative for excessive fuel. Truck has been at service center for 1 month, with no results.

As i pulled out of the dealer after taking it in for a replacement mirror and washer nozzles,i got onto the freeway and at about 60 mph my my truck lost power, service engine light came on,the warning sign on the dash indicated that the truck did not have any fuel pressure and speed dropped to about 30 mph.as i was able to pull of the freeway before causing an accident,i parked the truck, contacted the dealer to see what exactly was done to my truck besides the work that needed to be done.i then was able to get back to the dealer through the streets because it was only limited to a certain speed.after the dealer took 2 weeks to inspect the truck they concluded that the truck broke down due to bad diesel fuel and possible water and rust in the fuel components.the truck is equipped with a fuel water separator and water warning systems when it needs to be drained and maintained.never had the light indicate that truck had water or any type of issue with the fuel lines yet the dealer at ford blames it on bad fuel.warranty does not cover the damages due to bad fuel and it is a $10,000 repair for the consumer.the truck is also equipped with two fuel filters and yet they found debris in the fuel lines.i believe more needs to be done on their end to prevent high cost to the consumer and make their parts to standard to prevent any costly damages to the vehicles.i do not know if my insurance will cover it yet i'm still waiting on ford to finish their inspection of the truck.

Ford voiding warrant repairs on cp4 fuel pump due to fuel contamination - we have seen nhtsa resolve the issue with cp4 fule pump for vw- we need to have nhtsa look at this for ford- they repair cost that ford is putting on the owners range from 10-18ku . There are many complaints on this issue with ford and nhtsa - dealers are instructing owners to also to file a claim with their auto insurance company under comprehensive coverage so they insurance company pays for their faulty design. Many truck owners are taking huge losses as well as insurance companies -we ask that the nhtsa get involved with and begin an investigation into this issue.

I was driving my truck between 60-70 mph down highway 4 around a slight curve. That's when whole front of truck went into a a uncontrollable wobble, steering wheel was also shacking left to right had to slow to 30-40 mph to bring back under control. Brought to all star ford antioch ca the tech said front end felt loose that drove with me. They could not find anything wrong so they said they called ford, ford told them to do a road force balance. They say that they service manager drove my truck to and from his house two times 100 mile round trip and felt nothing wrong. They gave my my truck said it was good. As i was driving home the front end still felt loose but no wobble, good enough. Six days later the death wobble came back, same as before. Called mike ray ray service manager at all star ford, he told me he believes my but they cannot find a problem so i should bring somewhere else to look at it. I am bringing to tracy ford today, the bottom line is the truck is unsafe to drive until they fix it...

I was driving down highway at 65 mph and hit bump in road. The truck went into a massive vibration almost lost control of vehicle had to slow down to almost 35 mph vibration stopped and continued on down highway!took into ford dealership and they said that the track bar had loose bushings!! they wanted 1200 to fix said that my warranty was out on that part at 35,000 miles truck only has 40,000 on it i think the vibration also caused leak in radiator and of course no help from ford!!!!!

I am experiencing what is called the ford death wobble. Hitting a rough spot, or a tar line will cause violent steering wobble.must slow down below 40 mph to stop the problem.

2013 ford s.d 4x4. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle shaking after hitting a pot hole. *ld

My vehicle has 'experienced the 'f250 death wobble' on several occasions and it is a scary feeling when it happens. Th death wobble usually happens when you are traveling at highway speeds any you hit a rough patch or bump in the road. During the 'death wobble the truck bounces all over the road and the front suspension gets light and it is hard to maintain thevehicle in the proper lane . For these reasons, i refuse to allow my wife to drive this truck. Seeing how this is a common hot button issue on the f250 forum, i am surprised that ford has not been forced to recall these vehicles and to fix these known issues before someone is involved in a fatal accident as a result of the ' f250 death wobble!'
