I was in front end collision at approx 50 mph impact and seat belt did not lock and the airbags did not deploy.i hit steering wheel in collision

I was involved in an accident in my new ford f-150 king ranch on the above date traveling on the henry hudson parkway (manhattan) southbound. My truck was struck in the rear passenger door by an unknown vehicle and caused us to spin out 2times at 60 mph and hit the center concrete divider almost directly head on. We hit to the passenger side of the front of the truck.. The airbags didn't deploy. The canisters on the side impact airbags opened and the powder was all over but the bags didn't deploy. I don't think this was normal and i feel it should be looked at. There was $31,000 damage to the vehicle which wasn't totaled. Is this something that this agency will look into for me?respectfully submitted,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).*dt*dt

I brought my truck into crown ford in lynbrook ny for an oil change and to have the rear camera recall repaired.they did not repair the camera and told me that they only work on the recall if there is a problem noticed by the driver or if the camera fails.i am going to bring it to another dealership to have it repaired.

My truck has 4 backup collision warning sensors on the rear bumper.after some heavy rain, i have had 1 sensor start to indicate a close object as i start to back up my vehicle.there is no object back there. This initially occurred in a parking lot, but the problem now persists and the audible warning with a dash camera indicator light goes off whenever i back up the truck.

Back up camera image fades and screen becomes a shimmering color, problem is intermittent.

Bought truck new first problem. Back up camara ...crash avoidance system not working paint missing ..took it back to ford after a display of power train malfunction they reprogrammed the truck and said they would have to get with ford on the paint and have heard nothing to this day ...left dealer got home back up camara quit again ....now floor board passenger side getting wet ...idles funny and engine sound like it developed a maratic tick knock sound so fixing to go back to dealer ....very aggrivating to pay the prices you pay for a truck and always have these problem repeated ...and yet still paying every month while its in the shop and no one ever cares ...truck has 4,586 miles on it hasn't even had its first oil change yet

The rearview camera does not work - intermittently either blurs out or blacks out, sometimes goes to a blue screen with no functionality.this occurs when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

My -150 lariat has been giving me problems with the front collision camera and detects when no other vehicles are around. My computer for sync does not always turn on and freezes not allowing me to use navigation and other features. I almost got into three accidents because the vehicle accelerated on its own. In the same night when i pressed the gas it would not accelerate. At one point the speedometer was stuck at 67mph yet the truck accelerated well over 70mph. My brakes did not work properly several times. I pressed them and the truck would not stop. I took it in to the ford dealership and they essentially told me no codes could verify the problems. I amvery concerned about the safety of my vehicle and i and other drivers were put in severe danger.

The contact owned a 2020 ford f-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the lane departure and blind spot detection failed to alert the driver. The contact also stated that the front camera sensors failed to alert the driver. The contact stated that a warning message stating driver assist not available, would appear on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to harbin motor company, inc. (564 micah way, scottsboro, al 35769) where it was diagnosed with the windshield needing to be replaced. The contact stated that the camera sensor was located inside the windshield. The windshield was replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure but offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 600. The vin was unavailable.

Ford eliminated the engine cover in 2019 exposing the engine wiring to the elements. Since the wiring insulation is made from soy this allow for rodents to clime up into the engine compartment and chew at the exposed wires. This can disables the vehicle or set a vehicle engine lights at the owners expense. In my case the vehicle lost power on the freeway and i had several lights come on. The top speed dropped from 70mph to 23mph. Brighton ford did repair the vehicle at my expense. Going forward even though the repair has put the vehicle back on the road, the potential problem still exist. Ford customer care said there is no solution available to this problem i have opened a case but i don't believeanyone is looking at it. I also check 2021 vehicles and it has the same issue.

There is a known recall on the backup camera wtih ford.but my local dealer has the part on backorder for going on 3 months now.this seems to be a safety issue.how can a major company issue a recall and then not have the part available to fix for more than 3 months?

Bought truck on 05/25/2020 . Today's 05/30/2020 . My truck has only 355.7 miles and has a warning already ' charging system services now' . I been driving from galveston texas to webster tx. And the warning keep popping out driven and even on full stop.

Multiple issues with vehicle infotainment system. Replaced twice. Rear parking camera malfunctioing after two replacements. Whenever there is rain fall water leaks into the driver's side floor. This has caused major rust build up. Vehicle has only 3k miles on it.

Backup camera fails to work within days of truck purchase. Driver's side door lock does not engage with remote. Works only with key to access or lock. Estimated repair times given are weeks vs days. Unacceptable.

For the second time today, my 2020 f150 has turned itself off, while i was driving, with a message to "shift to park and restart engine".i happened to be pulling into my driveway, so stopping and doing so was not a safety problem.the first time, i was in a parking lot and was able to coast to a stop and do this, but if this happens on a road, or worse, when entering an intersection when crossing without stopping is necessary, someone is going to get killed..i have not bothered to report this to ford, because i am active on an f150 forum and have found that this same thing has happened to many other people, and ford has no idea how to fix it. I noticed several people said it happened when the weather was chilly - one person said it was 42 degrees.in my case, the weather today is 40, and it was similar weather last time it happened.i have no idea if this is related, but it's an interesting coincidence otherwise.my car was moderately warmed up, i had only driven about 8 miles.picture of the dash from today's incident attached.in both cases, the truck was otherwise driving fine, giving no indication of problems, and also started right back up and showed no other problem.it has probably been about 3 months since the first time.the second time was today - 3.16.2021

Backup camera not working correctly, sometimes it has a black screen

The rear camera is showingthe image complitly distorted. I bought this truck 10-03-2020 and in one week lster the rear camera was not working all the images were blurry and distortion.at the full screen.

The tail gate lowered on its own while we were driving down a high way and towing our camper.it dented the propane tanks and shifted the hitch system in addition to totaling the tail gate.

Complaint is that ford will not complete the work on their recall in a timely manner.the front camera intermittently does not work.issue started approximately 9-10 months ago at which time it occurred approximately 20% of the time.ford issued a recall notice on 9/23/20 to address this and after 6 months they still will not repair my truck.the front camera fails to operate approximately 90% of the time at this point.

My truck is 5 months old and has been to the dealer 3 times to have the front camera fixed. They finally replaced the front camera and it still does not work. The truck has a front camera side cameras and a rear camera. Thousands of people have complained about different cameras not working and ford just ignores it or replaced the faulty camera with another seemingly faulty camera. Numerous reports and numerous vehicles have been to ford with the same issue, the cameras failing, front side and back up cameras. On a truck that cost as much as they do something as simple as a camera to help people back up and judge the distance pulling into parking spots is pathetic. Many people who don't drive trucks often rely on these cameras as a safety feature when backing up or pulling into spots to avoid hitting another car. The vehicle has to be moving 5mph or slower for the cameras to work and parked of moving they do not work.

Faulty backup and forward camera at inconsistent intervals.camera will become very dark and view is distorted making it impossible to see where you are going from camera view.truck was bought new in january 2020 and started having camera problems late this summer.with covid-19 not driving as much as before april.the cameras only work when backing up or pulling forward at low speed.thus trying to park or exit a parking space cameras can be of no help if it is having its sporadic dark out.

Backup camera distorted and going blank while backing up on hot or rainy days .last 3 months

I purchased a brand new ford truck xl. F-150 on 8/23/2020.on 8/23/2020. The vehicle broke down , after a week of being at the dealership they came to a conclusion based on the diagnostic test that the vehicle was, allegedy struck by lighting with no visible marks the ford dealership suggested that i should put a claim in through my insurance since my vehicle is not a warranty item under acts of nature which i did. I then contacted the original dealership where i purchased the vehicle from and had the truck towed on 9/11/2020.after numerous attemps and opening a claim through corporate ford and then being denied i reached out to my insurance company after three independent appraisal's and numerous phone calls along with emails no one has responded to resole this issue , it has been almost three months now with no conclusion and my insurance company has denied my claim due to the incompetence of the ford dealership.

For the 3rd time while i was driving my 2020 f150 stx with only 4,218 miles the engine shut off completely and displayed 'auto startstop shift to p, then restart engine' on the dash display. The last time this happened was on 4/22/21 i was driving through a street going about 20 mph. Fortunately, there were no vehicle in front of me or behind me and i was not trying to turn at an intersection which could have resulted in a collision. The same thing had happened on 3/18/21 while driving on a street going about 15 mph. And the first time this happened was on 2/20/21 i was pulling in to my driveway so stopping and doing so was not a safety problem. I am really concerned about this problem i felt very unsafe in my truck if this problem doesn't get resolved people can get in to an accident and get seriously injured or killed. I did some research online and also checked my vin for any recalls and i was surprised to not find any. From researching online forums the auto start/stop function appears to be faulty and needs to be fixed/recalled before someone is seriously injured or killed. This issue appears to be widespread and across multiple model years. On 4/24/21 i took my truck to the dealership where i purchased it the tech called me and told me that they ran several tests and the truck did not give any problem codes. For safety dealership said they did not want me to drive truck so they would keep it and would contact ford to report issue and wait for their recommendation. I'm still waiting for update. I hope ford takes this issue seriously and does a recall.

Ford cameras recall: 20c19 and 20b39. I received notification of the recall during normal maintenance on march 1, 2021, not via ford headquarters. Apparently, the recall was on 09/23/20. Two different ford dealerships (in palm desert area) have said one of the cameras is on backorder with no clear indication when it would be received for installation. Therefore, from the date of the recall until now (approximately 6-months), i have not received the corrected parts or installation.

Backup camera goes in/out. It will display a distorted screen and/or go black then display malfunction has occurred and to contact dealer. This has been happening since july 2020 and getting worse. This is a major safety concern .

Backup camera appears distorted and often goes black. Intermittent issue.

The rear window defroster came on for the first time in cold weather and within 10 minutes, the rear windshield shattered while in motion on a city street.my kids were in the back seat.ford is not offering to cover the damage under the warranty or even investigate the issue. The truck has 2100 miles on it.

Backup camera not working since march six months of calling the dealer they say its on back order. Hines park ford will not service the recall on the transmission.got hung up on twice. Varsity ford same problem camera on backorder will not service recall.

Eight days after new purchase, with 416 miles on the odometer the engine failed from a currently undiagnosed defect.large amounts of white smoke from the exhaust covered the highway, potentially affecting visibility of other drivers.the vehicle lost all power, after pulling off from highway the engine would not start.ford dealership service department verified the engine locked up after the failure.

My new 2020 f150 with 5.0 v8 truck over consumes oil, adding a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Brought to dealer every week after about 500 miles and they add at least a half query or more every time. I bought in october 2020 and in the first month i went through 4 qts of oil.

While i was driving through a parking lot, and turning slightly left, the engine shut off completely and displayed "auto startstop shift to p, then restart engine" on the dash display. Fortunately, i was not trying to turn and cross traffic on a highway which could have resulted in a catastrophic t-bone collision. The auto start/stop function appears to be faulty and needs to be fixed/recalled before someone is seriously injured or killed. From researching online forums, the issue appears to be widespread and across multiple model years.

My 2020 ford f-150 5.0l v8 has an excessive oil consumption problem. The day i took it to get it's very first oil change (january 2021), before i drove it to the dealership to get changed, i checked the oil level and it was low. It only had 5k miles on it. They changed the oil and topped it off. When i checked it yesterday (february 19th, 2021), it was reading half full on the dipstick, with 6,600 miles on the vehicle.

While i was driving on friday, my 2020 f-150 stalled. An error message popped up on the instrument cluster saying "auto startstop shift to p then restart".i restarted and it happened again.i then waited 10 minutes and restarted and it has not happened since.i took it to bob thomas service in hamden, ct today and they are saying they cannot find anything wrong.if i was on the highway or turning across traffic, stalling at that time could be disastrous or even fatal.

On september 27, 2020 at about 2:30 pm i was towing a camper approximately 150 miles with the auto start stop disabled by the button on the dashboard. I made a left turn from a stop at an intersection. When i turned the engine shut off and a warning message came on the dashboard that said 'auto start stop. Shift to p and restart engine'. Luckily i was able to avoid an accident and coasted to a stop on the side of the road. I restarted the engine and it stayed running. As i mentioned, i had disabled the auto start stop function at the beginning of the trip if this had happened at a busy intersection or where i couldn't have stopped my wife and i could have been in a serious accident or even been killed. I have read about this on the internet and it is not an uncommon occurrence. This is a serious defect that very likely will cause people to be hit and killed and should be recalled.

Vehicle in motion pulled up to a stop light (with start/stop disabled via the button) the light turned green before coming to a complete stop but the truck shut off. Then i was greeted with a window that displayed "auto start unavailable shift to p to restart". I put the truck in park, restarted it, and it drove fine after that.

Drive mode malfunction message appears in message center.vehicle cannot chance drive modes, suspension stiffens up, and engine will go into low power mode or completely stalls.message has randomly appeared about 6 times now.first error message appeared on first day of ownership at 118 miles.vehicle currently has 1600 miles.6th incident happened 2 days ago.

Vehicle was slowing at an intersection with foot on brake.lifted foot off and moved to accelerator to turn right onto the main road.engine shut off and there was no response on acceleration.dashboard chimed and gave the warning "auto startstop shift to p, then restart engine." managed to pull the vehicle off to the side of the road. Shifted to park, restarted engine.

Just bought the truck.i took it to the store, then around town.while making a left turn down a side street, i pushed the button for the heat, to turn it off.i heard a weird buzzing noise.my breaks stopped working fully.no breaks at all.no power break, since it's electrical or something.no way to stop the truck.when i tried to push the gas to move.there was no power to the transmission at all.when i finally stopped.i tried to figure out the issues.switching several options and modes to try to find the solution.called a mechanic.no codes were given on the system.had to wait 2 hours for a tow truck.i'm a disabled vet, had to walk back to my house to grab my other car, since i didn't know if this truck was just going to decide to take off with me in it.the whole system is electrical and buggy.sure enough.before the tow truck got there, i was with another person who had a similar ford f150.he went through some options.without touching the accelerator, the truck started to rev up.we quickly went to the engine to disconnect the battery.if that transmission would have activated it would have smashed into several people, cars and houses.then that's when i looked up the recall for the 2020 f150 and found all the information i wish i would have seen before the purchase. 365 miles on the truck.had it less than 14 hours.drove it for about 20 mins.noticed premature rust underneath, but didn't think too much of it.a lot of parts were rusting and had no protection.

Excessive oil consumption.i have already had the service applied from the technical bulletin, but not much relief from the loss of oil.i have to add at least a quart half way between oil changes.i would likely lose 2 quarts or more between oil changes in total.i have barely 5000 miles, 'fix' applied at 2500 miles.at 5100 miles already over a quart low.mostly city driving. Some pulling of smaller rv trailer.trailer weight is 5800 pounds.

Oil consumption on the 5.0 liter v8 engine.the engine is consuming oil without evidence of an oil leak.ford has a tsb for this 19-2365 which covers year model 2018-2020.there are other tsbs for older year models with this same engine.ford says less than 1 quart of oil consumed in 3000 miles or less is normal.their fix is a longer and wider dip stick and a software update.this does not fix the oil consumption.there is a problem with the design of the engine block within the cylinders.

1) truck's ecoboost motor suddenly shut-down without any clear warning....vehicle is available to inspect. 2) turning into a busy road, from a stop at a traffic light, had no power to exit road with traffic in front of and behind my truck. I had enough rolling inertia to glide into the nearest open parking lot. When this sudden motor shut-down occurred, my left turning blinker began to blink rapidly, a buzzing was heard coming from under the dash board near glove box, a red battery warning light was seen on instrument panel indicating no power. I stopped my truck, put it into park and triedseveral times to re-start my motor. That failed to start several times. Finally, i was able to start the motor and with great caution was able to drive to my home. 3) problem confirmed by a ford service dealer 4) vehicle has been inspected by the ford service where i purchased the vehicle about a year ago...9546 miles on the vehicle, now. Service technician connected a diagnostic computer to my vehicle and found..."a communication error fault with a code." no code number was on the tech's report, however. Date of this incident was: july 18, 2021, sunday

While driving on a city street, the engine suddenly stopped.a message on the instrument cluster display said something to the effect of "auto startstop. Put vehicle in 'p' and start the engine".vehicle has less that 4000 miles on it.this is a very dangerous event, and if it should occur in heavy traffic, could result in serious injury or death. Have not yet been to the dealer.making this complaint immediately since a quick check shows other owners reporting this event with their vehicles on this official site as well as on many unofficial forums, indicating that this is a common occurrence with the product and not this specific vehicle.

2020 f-150 with the 5.0 engine uses over 2 quarts of oil in 2000 miles. Had the oil changedin april with the odometer reading 6300 miles, checked the oil at 8366 miles and it was barley on the dipstick. Went to the local ford dealer and service manager said that 1 quart in 1500 miles is normal. This is over 2 quarts in 2000 miles so they are going to do an oil consumptiontest on the engine. I am unaware if tsb 19-2365 was done on the vehicle prior to buying it in april 2020. I have also reported the issue to ford hq and have a case number with them.

I was turned up a driveway and the truck stalled the warning light saidauto start stop put in p and start engine.i turned off auto start stop and put in p and it started

Late model ford trucks represent a road hazard to all other vehicles on the road.they continuously run 4 headlights which blind on coming vehicles.

The contact owns a 2020 ford f-150. The contact stated that while driving at night, the front low beam headlights were dim, causing a visibility hazard for the driver. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer ken garff ford located at 145 hilton dr, st. George, ut 84770, who indicated that the lights were factory installed and operated as designed. The light bulbs were replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 100.

At approximately 9700 miles my truck has started malfuctioning and causing a safety risk. On takeoff the truck feels powerless until approximately 3 seconds after pressing the gas pedal. While crossing an intersection, i hit the gas which moved my truck forward very slowly in front of on-coming traffic but took approximately 3 seconds to start moving at the rate of speed a vehicle normally should. I could have been t-boned from this. The main issue i have noticed is while driving between 20 and 40 mph and giving enough gas to maintain speed, the truck starts jolting back and forth until i either let my foot off the gas or floor it. It also makes a clunking noise in the rear end while this happens. I called ford and scheduled an appointment which was 4 weeks out and they just told me to "take it easy driving it, it will be fine." this is not a once in a while issue, this happens every single time i drive my truck and does not go away no matter how long i'm driving it for.

While i was driving through a parking lot, and turning slightly left, the engine shut off completely and displayed "auto startstop shift to p, then restart engine" on the dash display.

Backup camera not working since march six months of calling the dealer they say its on back order. Hines park ford will not service the recall on the transmission.got hung up on twice. Varsity ford same problem camera on backorder will not service recall.

Ratcheting sound on decel when engine and transmission are cold. Sound occurs while traveling at low speed between 800-1500 rpms on immediate decel. Tsbs exist for previous model years with the 10 speed transmission but not the 2020.

Transmission shift concern: while driving in town at low speeds and on the highway at posted speeds of 70 or 75mph, and even at take off from a complete stop, i am experiencing issues with how my 2020 f150 10spd transmission shifts. At times, during all of the above instances, shifting can be very rough and noisy, can be delayed causing delayed acceleration, and even when i start the truck, i sometimes here a clunk and the truck may even slightly lurch forward.**i have had two instances now of my truck hesitating in the middle of a highway at take off. After the first time, i immediately contacted the dealership. I took the truck only to be told it could not be duplicated.**when traveling at low speeds in town you feel and audibly hear the transmission shift and sometimes jerk.**when traveling at highway speeds, especially when on cruise control, and the truck downshifts from 10th to 8th gear, the sound of the shift has become audible and you feel it. At other times, the shift is smooth and functions as i would expect.**when starting the vehicle, there are times when you hear a clunking sound then the vehicle will slightly move as if it where given a slight push.i have expressed my concern to the dealership where i purchased the truck on more than one occasion. The first time i was told by the service rep that this is normal for the truck. The second time was when the truck stalled at takeoff in the middle of the highway. This time i was told to bring the truck in. I was called to pick my truck up the same day and told the issue could not be duplicated. Very few miles were put on the truck for "testing". I wish i had documented them. Today i called again as the shifting issues are getting worse. I was scheduled for an appointment july 21, 2021, but only after telling them this needed to be checked more thoroughly. I was first dismissed and told this was again, normal operation. **no service lights or warnings in the vehicle for this specific issue.

Ford team, on sunday, january 24th i had a major safety malfunction with my 2020 f-150 i bought this past summer in menomonie wi.description on the incident: i pulled my truck out of my garage to pull my atv trailer out.once the trailer was pulled out, i started my truck back up and proceeded to pull it back into the garage.while coasting in, i press the brakes to stop the truck and the abs kicked in at the rear tires kept driving my truck forward.i ended up slamming into my work bench which is attached to my back wall.i remember looking down at my pedal and wondering why the truck was still driving forward when the brakes were pressed.i have pulled into my garage hundreds of times and this time was no different.i know what the abs feels like and this was not the case.the truck tried to out power the abs and didn't stop until i hit.i hit so hard that the garage shook and items were falling off my shelves.the amount of damage i incurred would not have happened if i was just coasting into the bench. Talking to a co-worker he stated this had happened to his dad in the past and said there might be an error in the code, something to do with it still being in high idle and the abs kicked in. If this error cannot be diagnosed i'm not sure i feel safe driving this truck anymore.makes me sick to my stomach to think what would have happened if one of my kids were in front of me.please trouble-shoot this issue and follow up with the cause and how much damage as been done.thank you, [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).ā€¯

While driving my vehicle, the transmission seems to have intermittent issues with up and down shifting anywhere from gears 1-7.feelings of transmission slip and hesitation to shift. Also it is noisy sometimes.you can hear it downshift. It sounds like a hard steel clunk. Only one time though have i experience a moderate downshifting between gears that slowed the vehicle much more than the braking did. I have no photos or dealer reports of the issue because the dealer said 'they just shifted rough'

After 6 weeks of ownership and 1000 miles of usage, i had a few examples of potential transmission issues. First i had a couple of examples of clunks when beginning to drive immediately after start up. A couple days ago i had the worst experience yet. After pulling into a parking spot to wait for a curbside pickup, i turned off the engine for about 5 minutes. Upon restart, i shifted into drive and gave a little gas as i pulled away from spot going forward. There was a loud clunk and the truck jerked before driving normally. Even my wife noticed and made a comment on the severity of this instance. A little while later, still driving after the start up from parking spot, i experienced a hesitation when pulling away from stop light and slowed down to make a quick left turn. After turning, there was a noticeable hesitation before resuming normal driving conditions. Today once again i noticed a slight hesitation pulling from a stop light though not as sever as last time.

The contact owns a 2020 ford f-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle shut off and in the park position it suddenly rolled down a slight incline before crashing into a second vehicle. The vehicle was driven to the local dealer diers ford located at 2445 n broad st, fremont, ne 68025 who was unable to duplicate the failure and no problem was found.the manufacturer was notified of the failure.the vin was not available. The failure mileage was 28,000.*dt

Problem shifting to all gears & position of gear shift not going into park.

The contact owns a 2020 ford f-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the transmission shifted to 10th gear as the rpms rose up to 1,000 rpm and the vehicle hesitated to exceed 40 mph. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to jarrett ford dade city (38300 dick jarrett way, dade city, fl 33525, (866)906-7651) to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to other unknown dealers however, the mechanics were unable to determine the cause for the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 3,268.*dt

While driving, several faults appear in dash window, starting with "driving mode not available" and the engine goes into "limp home mode"! after turning off the engine, the faults may show again immediately or soon after continuing to drive! my dealer was not able to correct the problem on my first visit and has ,so far, been unable to come up with a fix for the problem ! please help me ! the vehicle has only 1500 miles on it,andthis is a serious problem which ,most likely has driving safety implications !!!!sincerely ,[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

2020 f-150 lariat w/ 10 speed transmission - 10,600 miles. Experiencing extremely hard downshifting, erratic rough shifting when in traffic. In normal traffic conditions on the highway, traveling 60mph, the truck downshifted from 8th to 7th, causing an extremely loud bang and jerk. This has began to be a regular occurance.these transmissions have serious issues with shifting. Ford needs to find a fix. My over $60,000.00 truck drives rougher than my riding lawnmower.

Bought the truck new october 2020 and checked the oil after a month having the truck having 1600 miles on it and there was no oil on the dipstick. It's a 5.0 coyote v8.took it to the dealer immediately and they added 5 qts of oil! there is a tsb out where they change pcm software and replace the dipstick. Shouldn't this be done before i took the truck home if they knew about it??

The gear will not go into park and allow me to start. Also, the display indicates i am in the wrong gear display shows neutral but truck is in drive, display shows reverse but the truck is in neutral. This all happened after backing the truck up in revers, stoppingand shifting to drive to pull forward and it wouldn't move. Then i could no longer put in park. The only way to get into park is to bang the gear shift forward forcibly. This all happened in the middle of a hotel parking lot. Ford roadside assistance was called but they were useless with no remedy.

My new 2020 f150 with 5.0 v8 truck over consumes oil, adding a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Brought to dealer every week after about 500 miles and they add at least a half query or more every time. I bought in october 2020 and in the first month i went through 4 qts of oil.

Intermintedly when placed in park it after engine is turned off rolls. Sometimes very slow sometimes very quickly. Also key gets stuck in the ignition.

Clutch went out in automatic truck causing transmission to overheat and fail. Lost reverse while driving and truck would slam into every gear when accelerating or downshifting. Only 18,000 miles on truck. Truck was brought into ford back in jan 2021 and they replaced the main brain to the transmission and transmission overheated and failed by march 2021. Vehicle was in motion on highway when failure happened.

I was in front end collision at approx 50 mph impact and seat belt did not lock and the airbags did not deploy.i hit steering wheel in collision

This vehicle does not come with a seat height adjustment. All vehicles should come with seat height adjustment, a manual one is fine. People that are shorter especially driving an f-150 must be able to see safely. We have many expensive safety features come standard but sadly are omitting a $10 addition that greatly improves driveability.

My 2020 ford f-150 crew cabxlt with 38000 miles had a seat failure on may 05, 2021 when i hit a pothole on i-75 near lexington ky while traveling 70 miles per hour. I could eaisly see over steering wheel with my 5'2" height since our purchase of this family hauler vehicle many months ago.at the impact of small pothole the seat dropped about 3 inches, i had to pull up with my arms on steering wheel to see out windshield to make it to shoulder. I piled coats under me to make it home. My husband and i found broken plastic under seat?i weigh 105 lbs and my husband weighs 205 lbs. I find it hard to believe the seat in a 50,000 dollar truck would be made of cheap plastic and fail that easy. Repair shop advised this is common in new ford trucks. Very unsafe!

Multiple issues with vehicle infotainment system. Replaced twice. Rear parking camera malfunctioing after two replacements. Whenever there is rain fall water leaks into the driver's side floor. This has caused major rust build up. Vehicle has only 3k miles on it.

The contact owns a 2020 ford f-150. The contact stated while driving at 55 mph, the vehicle brakes locked up on its own, causing the vehicle to go into a complete stop. The contact stated when the vehicle stopped, the brakes unlocked and the contact was able to press on the accelerator pedal for the vehicle to continue to drive with no issue. However the failure occurred again this time the contact was driving 55 mph in the snow when the brakes locked up causing the vehicle to slide, hit and go over a guard rail. No one was injured. No medical treatment was needed at the scene and a police report was filed.the contact had the vehicle towed to local dealer romeo ford of kingston (128 ny-28, kingston, ny 12401) who inspected the vehicle but could not diagnosed the failure however the failure persisted again. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,000.

Pre collision assist (w/aeb) the dispaly showing it is on but it does not work in emergency situation. Dealer was unable to fix the problem.the vehicle was on a city streetgoing 25 miles per hour

Brand new f-150 crew cab 4x4 v8. Currently have less than 700 miles. On three occasions upon starting there was no power steering assist. Each time i turned off the ignition and restarted. Power steering was available upon restart. Is power steering likely to quit while driving?

Drove from new jersey to brooklyn, over the verrazzano parked and guess what... Tailgate was open with my tools exposed? heading home nice driver in tunnel made me aware the tailgate was open. Finished driving through tunnel, pulled over to close tailgate for the third time on one day.

Purchased my f150 new and from the dealer and the frame was oil sprayed to prevent corrosion and rust before taking the vehicle home. Truck now sits just under 8,000mi and the rear axle and a good portion of fasteners are all rusty as if the truck is 15yrs old. The skid plate under the transfer case looks like it may have been zinc plated from the factory but now it's all pitted and corroded and does not look like a new truck. I can't hardly believe that after such a short time the underside looks like this as if there was no paint applied to anything at the factory. This issue needs to be taken care of and fixed by ford.

The tail gate lowered on its own while we were driving down a high way and towing our camper.it dented the propane tanks and shifted the hitch system in addition to totaling the tail gate.

The floor boards on the driver side is staying wet and has caused mold to form on the carpet this is a problem because mold is not good for your respiratory system.

Tailgate opens on own even while driving. No warning that it has or is open.at highway speed the tailgate has opened allowing bed contents to spill out!

I have 2 major issues:1.my tailgate keeps opening on its own.it has happened while i was driving as well as when it is parked. Damage happened to the tailgate when it opened on its own in the garage and was leaning against the garage door when my wife opened the garage door to leave in her vehicle. It also happened while driving on the highway.this issue has happened multiple times but garage issue happened this morning and will put that as the date it happened below.2.also the lane minding system keeps alarming telling me to put my hands on the wheel when i have never let go of the wheel in the first place - the service department told me it was because i was driving too straight, that the system wants to detect movement in the steering wheel (am i supposed to drive serpentine down the road to keep my vehicleā’s alarm from going off and distracting me?). The alarm happens when i am driving on straight areas of the road.this is an ongoing issue, pretty much on a daily basis since i bought the truck.

Rattle in left front suspension

While backing out of a residential driveway, while turning the steering wheel the right front wheel caught the edge of the curb and had a catastrophic failure of the right front upper ball joint. Wheel and knuckle collapsed under the wheel well. The vehicle is new with 8600 miles on it. While removing the wheel in order to tow it, found there was no torque nut on the balljoint stud. It was transported to a certified ford dealership where it is being evaluated for repairs. Suspension, steering, alignment, sensors are non operational and damaged. The nut was either never put on, or was never tightened. No prior warnings were given. Had we been driving at speed i have no doubt we would have sustaine major injury or worse. Dealership has reported documentation of the aformentioned problem, and pictures sent to ford administration with no response yet.

While driving on a highway at 65mph i heardan explosion. After pulling overi discovered that the back glass had shattered. I was not passing a vehicle and nothing else was around tocause it. Contacted the dealership where purchased and they will not replace because "blown out" glass is not covered by the warranty. This truck has 3,700 miles on it. My insurance will cover the cost but that isn't the point. This is dangerous! the inside pressure shattered the whole glassand actually blew a hole through on one side. The glass was falling out on the bed of the truck. I have noticed since purchasing the truck that the doors are hard to close (you have to almost slam them) unless you leave a window down a little.

We have repeatedly requested the rear camera recall to be done & have been told for over 5 months that the parts are not available. Every other truck in our fleet of 600 with this recall has been repaired without issue.

The contact rented a 2020 ford f-150. The contact stated while the engine was on, the contact placed the vehicle in park, and the vehicle independently rolled while the gear was in park. The vehicle rolled over the contacts daughter head. The contact took his daughter to the hospital. The contacts daughter head required staples. The contact stated on a second occasion when the contacts wife drove the vehicle and placed the gear in park with the engine on the vehicle rolled, the driver was able to get back into vehicle and stop the vehicle from rolling. The contact took the vehicle to a mechanic to have a diagnostic performed which located the failure codes at the transmission, the gear shifter and the cable. The vehicle was not repaired. A police report was not filed. The contact returned the vehicle to enterprise.the failure mileage was 29,260.

While backing up, the green yellow and red lines are gone on the back up camera.so cannot tell the distance before backing into something and the beeper no longer is heard warning you when you are getting close..

Something really disturbing happened while i was driving my truck on 3/20/21. I was pulling into an intersection and the car shut off. Stepping on the gas did nothing and i could barely turn the wheel. There was a message flashing in my dashboard that i canā€™t remember because i panicked. I could have been t boned because there was traffic coming from my right and left, my kids could have been in the car with me because itā€™s the family car. Thank god neither of those happened because it was around 10 am and there wasnā€™t that much traffic. I ended up putting the car in park, shutting off the car, and restarting it, all as fast as i could. It was obviously pretty terrifying. On 4/25/21, a similar incident happened around 10:30 am.i was sitting at a stop sign and a warning message came onto my dashboard with a battery symbol.i can't remember the exact message, but i had to put the car in park and power off/power on the car again like the last time.again on 6/23/21, the car shut off again while i was driving, my foot was on the gas. I got an error message and had to put the car in park, shut off, then turn it back on. It was extremely scary this time because my daughter was in the car and this happened right outside the school with children crossing the road.what iā€™ve realized is that this only started happening when i left the auto start/stop on. I realized that and have been turning it off. I forgot to do it on this trip and thatā€™s when the car shut off.iā€™ve seen a lot of complaints about this online. There must be something your engineers are aware of and can fix this issue.

As i was backing into a space the backup camera malfunctioned (went into static lines and them blacked out) i backed into a pole and dented the bumper.

The back right passenger window shattered for no reason.the truck was sitting parked and locked.it shattered and bowed outward from the cabin.

The backup camera on the vehicle does not work properly. It will pixelize; give lines; or just show a blank screen with a contact dealership. This began happening approximately two weeks after purchasing the vehicle new. After contacting the dealership, they stated that they are having problems with all their 2020 model year vehicles with backup cameras and there is a back order. That was approximately two months ago.

I pulled up to a stop sign that is in front of a highway.as soon as i hit the brakes the truck shut off, the power steering and the power brakes quit working and i was almost hit by oncoming traffic.

My truck accelerated twice without touching the gas pedal. I was stopped at a yield sign waiting for traffic to pass. I lifted my foot off the brake, my truck immediately accelerated.i pressed thr brake to slow down and the truck engine/transmission rpms did not decrease until the truck fully stopped.i intentionally stopped about 10 meters behind the next vehicle in a left turn lane.the light turned green and i lifted my foot off the brake.the truck accelerated by itself too fast.i had to hit the brakes hard again. After i pressed the brakes to slow down again, the engine/transmission reset to normal operation. I did not experience thr problem on the remaining drive home. I was exiting off of a highway 5 to exit on to a city street. This acceleration would have caused an accident if there were cars in front of my truck. Consumer stated he went to the dealer and was told "speeding out of control" was cause by gas peadl sticking to 3rd party floor mat.consumer removed the floor mat.

Back-up camera malfunctioning, works less than 50% of the time, goes out sometimes when backing up.i am told this is a known issue on some ford vehicles, however they do not have a solution.informed replacement back-up camera on back order, may have same issue. This has been occurring since i bought the truck, over 2 months.i believe this is a broad issue with ford auto's right now and the company is dragging their feet on what may be a costly solution.

My vehicle would not exit out of a drive or moving until i stopped the vehicle and disconnected the neg battery cable. The vehicle stayed in a state of high rpms.there were no warning signs and no warnings displayed on the truck display.this is the second "speeding out of control" situation in two days.i fear for the safety of myself, my family, and everyone around me.i don't know what triggers the onset of this condition. I exited from state highway 5 onto exit 104 (hwy 101) and took a left on mud bay road.i was traveling 30-35 mph when i began to slow down to almost a complete stop to make the right turn into the swimming facility.my truck would not slow down.i pushed he brakes very hard to prevent the truck from speeding uncontrollably. I pulled in to a parking spot as best as i could.the truck rpms were maxed.i own an automatic drive.with my foot on the brake, i shifted from d to n.there was a loud sound of gears during the shift.the truck rpms were still maxed out.i turned off the truck and placed the truck in p.i also enabled the parking brake.i started the truck and the truck rpms were still maxed out.i kept the truck running for an additional 30 seconds.my wife and bystanders indicated that there was a burning smell emanatingfrom the truck.i turned off the truck and the truck displayed an "overheating" warning.i allowed the truck to cool down and disconnected the neg battery cable for 15 min.after i reconnected the neg cable, the truck reset to normal running conditions.i have owned the truck for three months and the truck is still under factory warranty.the dealership that i bought it from does not acknowledge that 2020 f-150s have had problems with the transmission/engine.i will take my truck there tomorrow (13may2021) for them to view the error codes.

Rear view camera not functioning properly.issue has been ongoing for nearly a month, now.often shows very garbled view when truck is shifted into reverse.occasionally displays a message "camera is unavailable.please contact your dealership."i followed up with the dealership (southgate ford, southgate, mi) and they informed me they cannot service this, as ford has not issued them a fix.they are completely unable to resolve the problem, and refused any further remediation.they recommended i call ford's customer support at 800-392-3673, which no longer appears to be functional, and did not allow me to talk to anyone or even leave a message.

Undercab matting used for aero and protection of transmission / exposed underwiring is easily saturated by moisture from normal driving conditions. Causing excessive wear and tear to vehicle components. The matting on our vehicle has already torn on one side (at 15k mi), with service suggesting to "zip tie" the parts back together or remove the panel and expose the transmission and wiring to additional wear and tear. I have seen many other similar f150s with the same issue. This is a large underbody panel and can pose significant risk to motorists or cyclists behind if it were to fail and detach from the vehicle. Attached image is of drivers side looking up/under towards the front of the vehicle.

My wife is about five months pregnant, she wasdriving the truck in thehighway out ofnowhere the truck slow down almost causing an accident - the truck made an alarm sound- the light show up on the dashboard- please see attached photo.i already contactedthe ford dealer for an appointment in regards to this issue for monday 3/8/ 2021thanks for helping in advance.sincerely/ [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

On two occasions (4/18 and 6/10) the vehicle shut off while driving. A dashboard message said ā€œput vehicle in park and restart engineā€¯. The dealer service center could not find the cause. I contacted ford motor company and was given a case number and the vehicle was checked again at the dealer service center in conjunction with ford motor company via phone. No cause was found. I was told it most likely was a one time fluke. After the second event on 6/10 i drove immediately to the service center. I took a picture of the dashboard message. Again, no cause could be found. I reported this to the ford customer experience specialist. I asked the specialist for the email address of someone with higher authority or in their safety department and was told if i did not want to continue with ford ā€œsomeone higher would be the better business bureauā€¯. Both instances of the truck shutting off have been on residential streets while driving about 20 mph. I have repeatedly voiced my fear that the vehicle would shut off while on the highway or thruway and the result could be catastrophic.

Clunking noise when shifting when pumping accelerator

Ford tonneau truck bed cover came apart at 75 mph on i-10 in la. Rear third section weighing 10-20 pounds completely separated, luckily stayed on the truck bed. Fortunately it did not go airborne and strike the vehicle behind me. Cover was flipped in one section up, no securement is available at this position and directions are not visible. Vehicle (tonneau cover) only had 5,500 miles on it.

The back right passenger window shattered for no reason.the truck was sitting parked and locked.it shattered and bowed outward from the cabin.

This vehicle, which is otherwise required to have one, was delivered for lease with an inoperative backup camera on august 24, 2020.the camera is on back order from the manufacturer.it was disclosed to me that multiple vehicles from this manufacturer were experiencing problems but were still being sold as new vehicles.

Back up camera image fades and screen becomes a shimmering color, problem is intermittent.

While backing up, the green yellow and red lines are gone on the back up camera.so cannot tell the distance before backing into something and the beeper no longer is heard warning you when you are getting close..

Truck is brand new, odometer reads 310 miles. Windshield wiper motor broke first time i was trying to drive in the rain. Motor needs to be replaced. Vehicle was in motion, visibility was extremely limited. This was super dangerous due to driving curvy country back roads.

On april 21, 2021, at 09:10 i parked my2020 f150 xlt sport in my work parking lot. The truck was locked and unoccupied. At 16:10, i approached the vehicle from the front on the driver side. As i neared the back door to place my items inside, i noticed glass shards on the edge of the truck bed. I proceeded to unlock and open the rear door and noticed an approx. 8 inch by 2 inch gash on the right rear sedentary window, the entire stationary rear glass was "spider shattered". The glass shards were in the bed of the truck and along the rim of the bed edges. I inspected the vehicle for other damage. The vehicle was not in use, not occupied and no objects to cause damage. Also note, the outside temperature did not exceed 66f

The rear window defroster came on for the first time in cold weather and within 10 minutes, the rear windshield shattered while in motion on a city street.my kids were in the back seat.ford is not offering to cover the damage under the warranty or even investigate the issue. The truck has 2100 miles on it.

Back glass shattered with no impact waiting at a red light. Heard a pop sound and the whole back glass shattered.live in florida so we did not have the defrost on.
