April 2005 was the first time the truck started to stall while driving. Syosset ford's diagnosis was r&r cam shaft position sensor. The second incident may 2005. Truck stalling intermittently again. Syosset ford unable toduplicate the problem. July 2005 a recall notice is sent from ford stating the icp sensors may have been improperly manufactured causing the vehicle to stall.third incident truck is still stalling intermittently on august 15, 2005 icp connectors are replaced. September 2005 a recall notice is sent from ford stating the ep sensor may have corrosion at the electrode surface causing the vehicle to have a sudden loss of power. Fourth incident. January 23, 2006 check engine light is on and truck is still stalling intermittently. Egr valve and ep sensor are both replaced. Fifth incidentaugust 28, 2006 truck still stalling and oil leaking from coolant tank. Replacedoil cooler and the egr valve for the second time. Truck still stalls intermittently. November 28, 2007 the starter is replaced. Stalling issue is becoming worse. There are times the truck has to be restarted 40 to 50 times a day. Starter is replaced again february 11, 2008. March 2008 truck will not start. Ford diagnosis no icp pressure. Replacedhigh pressure pump, leaky fitting & ipr. Truck is still stalling. September 16, 2008 ford diagnosis found icp connectors & sensors were corroded. This will be the second time it has been replaced. Truck still stalls continuously. Ford looks at the truck again in september of 2008 andhas discovered the diesel fuel tank is corroded and needs to be replaced.i believe that the fuel tank has always been the problem. Ford will not cover the fuel tank under their warranty. Mean while the starter is replaced again on november 20, 2008. This e450 vehicle hardly runs anymore. Please visit finishing.comletter#44219. There are many people with ford diesel trucks that are having the same problem. I believe this is recall issue.

Problem: hesitation on acceleration, rough idles, loss of power upon acceleration. Injector found clogged on 12-2006.replaced turbo assembly and cold air boot on 12/20/2006. Filed written complaint to ford in april 2006 for recurring engine issues.ford never answered.on 1/30/09 truck not running and ford replaced the transmission.asked ford service to check rough running and engine power loss but computer showed no codes. Took truck into ford on 1/21/20011 for brakes and vehicle not running properly even after warm up.diagnosis from ford --- found rust in the fuel filter, was told fuel tank needed replaced as well as injectors and injector pump and fuel lines.cost to replace $5000 or more.warranty ran out november 2010.ford is now requiring vehicle owners to replace their fuel tanks and any ancillary parts at their own cost.ford had to of known that there was a problem with the fuel tanks delaminating after 2004. As a small business owner in this economy having to spend extra money on a problem that could and should have been taken care of under warranty is egregious.my vehicle currently has 113,000 miles and to already have to replace a transmission and now the fuel tank is indicative of a defective vehicle.ford is negligent in not acknowledging a potentially dangerous to life safety problem.

Vehicle:2005 chinook glacier class c r/v, 2004 ford e450 cutaway chassis.applicability:all model years of chinook glacier r/v and possibly other models.hazard: fire/explosion.component:flexible propane hose connecting 2 distribution manifolds under coach in vicinity right rear wheel well.hose is routed outboard and fastened to the axle arch frame member between the frame and the right rear spring.minimal clearance between spring and hose allows spring axle mounting hardware to abrade hose.the hose abraded through and began leaking.i noted propane smell and heard hissing while preparing for recent trip.the leak was in the vicinity of the exhaust pipe, just forward of gas generator and in vicinity of 55 gal fuel tank.i believe there was likelihood of catastrophic explosion and fire has this gone unnoticed, particularly if parked and generator running.correction required removal of right rear duals to access the hose and mounting clamps.hose removed and replaced with new hose and fittings made up by local propane company service personnel. New hose was re-routed above frame member so as to prevent any possibility of contact with spring hardware.i believe that moving to inboard of frame is not ideal as that is where the engine exhaust pipe is routed.better solution may be to replace the flexible hose with metal tubing.i can supply photos of damaged hose and original placement as well as my repair and re-routing.i believe this should be a mandatory manufacturer safety recall, however, manufacturer is out of business.i believe there is a strong likelihood of personal injury or death and major property damage if this is not corrected.
