I currently own a meticulously maintained 2001 ford e150 van with a 4.6 liter motor. I have approx 78000 miles on vehicle, and recently started having spark plug issues.to make a long story short changing the spark plugs with aluminum heads can possibly ruin my van due to the plugs blowing out of the heads.at this time i'm not in a position to by a new vehicle due to something as simple and basic as a spark plug. Due to the location of motor in van the repair is costly and time consuming.the more research i do with this issue i feel this is a huge design flaw.

Transsmission failed at 50,000 mi.repair shop stated that it was due to an electrical problem that causes the pressure in the transmission to become to high and causes fluid to be pushed back into the electrical components of the transmission causing total failure/breakage.transmission had to be replaced.

The outer covers of all the seatbelts in the 3rd row have all fractured resulting in the inability to latch any of the seatbelts. . this sounds very similar to the ford escape recall 03v507000. When the rear of casing fractured, the inner part of the seatbelt moved within the casing resulting in the inability to latch the seatbelt.attempts at repair were unsuccessful.

I was rear ended.seat belt did not work as it should have, causing me to end up with a bad whiplash. The seat belt does not retract most of the time. I was never notified of thes defects.

I'm sure not the only one having this issue.

Have had the vehicle since late 2001 within 5 months had to be taken in for brake problems due to vibration when stopping. Since then the van has had the rotors replaced once a year with them being turned twice.brake pads are needing to be replaced every 5 to 6 months. I have called ford each time as well as the dealer. Both have said that this is a common problem they have with these vehicles. I don't pull anything with my van and i am not hard on the brakes. They told me it was because the front end is heavy.

While traveling approximately 35 mph applied pressure tobrake pedal.brake system momentarily slowedvehicle then unexpectedly released, and allowed for continued forward movement.dealership has examinedvehicle, and made no determination as to the cause of the problem.please provide any additional information / attachments.

On several occasions while applying brakes vehicle would not stop properly. Had to pumpbrakes to get it to stop. When it did it caused one of thewheels to lock up intermittently.dealer was not notified at this time. Feel free to provide any further information.

Brake pedal occasionally goes tofloor and will not operate correctly to stopvehicle.vehicle has beenat dealer4 times, butproblem has not been duplicated.computer doesn't show any sign of a problem.vehicle has been to 2 different dealers and neither could find a problem. Please add the vin to the form.

With only 43,000 miles, and 21 months old, i had to replace outer tie rod, drag link, and ball joints on our 2001 ford e-150 van. The vehicle has only been used as a private vehicle. Maintenance has been per ford schedule, and performed by the same ford dealership which did the state inspection which lead to the part replacements.while ford did contribute about 40% towards the work, it seems suspension and steering parts wearing out so prematurely is a defect which should be concidered for recall.pursuing further with ford only resulted in phone call claiming that the wear rate was not unusual.
