While traveling to a neighboring town on may 16, 2204 my full size 1995 ford club wagon caught fire.the fire was contained to the bottom of the vehicle until the doors were open and the fire backdrafted through the airconditioning vents in the front of vehicle and swept to the rear.in looking through some info i have read about about fuel lines leaking in the econline vans.i would like this fire investigated.my van was in excellent condition and very well taken care of.

Abs light comes on intermittently- on 2 occasions, brake pedal was rock hard, wheels locked up, no steering or braking ability, slides forward until you let up on pedal (this is on snow covered roads).dealer checked when light off- showed nothing. Said to check again while light is on.said they suspect it's a part that regulates the hydraulics to the brakes.

Consumer put on brakes after someone pulled in front. Consumer felt metal on metal and had to swerve to avoid hittinganother car. Took to dealer, and they said brake rotors/pads, and shoes were all warped.this happened every 18 months. Mechanic said the calipers that were made by ford were bad by design, the plastic that was over the pistons, stuck/heatup and warped the rotors and wore down the brakes.ak

Abs brake problems; on wet slippery pavement, whenapplying the brakes, the pedal goes to the floor and the braking system seems to hesitate before the truck will stop.even though the brake pads were replaced, the problem with the braking system still exists.

Anti-lock brake system failed, causing vehicle to pull to the right while braking, four replacements however failed each time.

Antilock brakes failed.

Antilock brakes work intermittently.

The abs light keeps coming on and the system fails when thebrakes are applied by not stopping the vehicle. Please describe.

Intermitently while depressing the brake pedal to the floorboardabs did not stop vehicle, resulting in extended stopping distance and/or erratic stopping. *ml

Front rotors, calipers have been replaced twice in 55,000 mi, rotors badly cracked in exact same spot on both occasions, abs light coming on intermittently.*et

Serious problem of lack of control due to defective gear box.dealer said it was the tires, we replaced the tires, to no avail.the vehiclesway from side to side like a boat.

Steering makes a growling sound and vibrates.please describe.

My complaint is that the driver's side and passenger door handles split apart and broke off within two years of the van being bought.additionally, the interior latches which open the side and rear doors from the inside cracked making it impossible to open the doors from the inside.replacement door handles cost $95.00 each (according to johnson ford).johnson ford also told me that you cannot buy the interior latches without buying the entire door assembly ($128.00 each).when i complained to johnson ford, they simply said that that was the price of replacement parts.when i complained to ford, i was told that they appreciated my input.meanwhile, my wife and i transport ourselves and our six children in a van with faulty interior plasticware.i have jury rigged handles for the front doors and side/rear door latches.neither johnson ford nor ford motors wants to admit that the fact that these interior handles break so easily is a safety issue.i hope that you can do something to make ford take this seriously.
