Throttle - engine shut off when pushing gas pedal. This has happened 3 times... When entering and exiting the beltway or hwy. Extremely dangerous. I've so far been able to drift onto shoulder of the road twice but the third time there was no shoulder. I was stuck in the traffic lane with no power.i had heart spasms due to fear of being run-over. This problem needs a recall issued. Similar problems have been identified in other ford models.i do not want to be killed or have this problem result in a serious accident. I do not want to have a heart attack due to engine failure! help!this has happened three times in november 2016. I'm fearful of going out to important appointments like my cancer treatments at mercy medical center that requires me to be on highways with speeds up to 60 mph. (dates 11/19, 23 and 28/2016,)

Same symptoms as nhtsa action number: pe07058.although now the issue has progressed to include the instrument panel going completely dark for intermittent periods.it was noted in pe07058 ford stated this issue does not cause exterior light issues.when the panel goes completely dark the signal lights will not function and occasionally the backup lights come on while moving forward.these are significant safety issues in heavy traffic.

Radio wouldn't work and windows won't work or sunroof

The digital instrument panel will suddenly go out, causing the ford 500 2005 to lose all read outs, the speedometer and all dash lights will go out, and if at night, the light panels and lights as well.this problem has been documented by ford in a bulletin that they have sent to its dealers.this is an extremely dangerous situation, not to mention a very costly repair.i believe that ford has done nothing about a recall on this problem because it was not a big selling car the first year it was made in 2005 and because of the expense to fix.

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. While driving 65 mph, the vehicle jerked without warning. The engine light and failed safe mode light illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and shut off. The vehicle was able to be restarted, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was driven one mile and then stalled. The throttle control and transmission lights illuminated. The vehicle was able to be restarted and was taken to a local mechanic where it could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 178,300.

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. The contact stated that the vehicle occasionally failed to start. Driving through town, we came upon a bridge, when all of a sudden the car lost all power. The engine was stillrunning, but the car would not take any gas and had no power. Coasted to the side of the road and turned the car off. After several minutes, i restarted the car and it went without problem. On tuesday the same thing happened as i was leaving the driveway. On thursday too the car to shop and it repeated the same thing twice while in the city during busy traffic hours.

Ford told me in 2012-2013 there wasa recall on the instrument cluster, the previous car owner had brought to dealership and fix. Well the same issue is occurring now ( 138kmiles) i started the car 4/1 and the reverse lights stay on, dash board gauges are off ( no speed, rpm, fuel gauge working) the vents wont work.i continued to drive car for about 1-2 miles ( at felt like 35-45mph) and as i am driving the computer reset ( car did not turn off, this is still when the car is in motion) and all the gauges started to work.ford said that the recall is closed and there is nothing they can do except have me spend money for them to diagnose. The same problem is occurring on this car the ford recall suppose fixed in 2013. Ford needs to research this same issue as it is dangerous when this does occur. I would like a resolution to this issue. I do have a case # with ford case # 14495583.

The car has lost the ability to accelerate on the freeway while i was driving it. Had to limp off to the side to try to reset vehicle. After getting to the shoulder of the freeway, i could only drive the car no faster to 35 mph because there was no throttle response and it would not shift out of first gear. This problem also effects shifting into reverse. When it is occurring you will notice a hard shift into reverse that tears up the gears. This seems to happen every couple months with no notice.

Flickering of instrument panel, fuel gauge, speedometer, rpm's intermittently for a long time...all completely dead now. Reverse lights on at all times..blah blah..same as everybody else . This is bs. Never buy a ford again.

I was driving at the approx. Speed of 58mph and my car starting skipping and chugging. I slowed down and as i begun to slow down my car gave me a diagnosis code of failsafe engine mode, then my car completely shut down with no power at all.it was hard to pull off the rode and steer the car off the road because the steering wheel tightened up.i pulled over and let the car sit for a few minutes and then tried re-cranking the car.i was able to re-crank the car and drove further up the rode.i continued to have these problems.i drove approx. 10 miles from the first indication that happened and the car continued to cut off and give me the same error message approx 4 more times before i was able to get home with the car.i let the car cool for an hour or so and immediately took the car to a local mechanic.they have replaced the entire coal pack, all 6 spark plugs, and replaced the manifest.i picked my car up once repaired at the local mechanic and got approx. 6 miles from the shop and it cut off and did the same thing over again.i am not able to drive my car at all without it giving me the error message and cutting off.i have read alot of forums and blogs and others are having these same issues that i am having.has there been a recall for these issues for this model?i have a ford 500 v6 limited addition.

Instrument cluster stops working at random, no fuel, speed or rpm information.all the warnings lights come on and brake lights illuminate even when brake pedal is not used.this problem has gone from intermittent to almost always happening.most recently the car has lost the ability to accelerate on the freeway while i was driving it.had to limp off to the side to try to reset vehicle.after getting to the shoulder of the freeway, i could only drive the car no faster to 35 mph because there was no throttle response and it would not shift out of first gear.this problem also effects shifting into reverse.when it is occurring you will notice a hard shift into reverse that tears up the gears.this seems to happen every couple months with no notice.

Well i took it to midas they said throttle pedal was bad sk i replaced it and the throttle body well it still does the same thing ..

I have had several problems with this ford 500. The side mirror caught on fire and had to be replaced at my expense, the lights in the dash would go in and out and when they were out i did not have back lights which had to be fixed at my expense and the worse problem is the air condition does not work while driving around town but will work on the highway while driving over 40 miles per hour. I have sent approx. $1000.00 on this problem and it is still not fixed. This vehicle has low mileage at approx 50,000 miles and has only been driven by adult drivers.

Ran out of gas on freeway and almost got rear ended.fuel gauge read half full at the time of incident.filled it up after and no movement to gauge.a few days later the gauge started working properly again.now we are never sure if the gauge is correct or not.

Vehicle speeds up after starting engine & put in gear!! took to two different dealers but they could not find problem. Left dealers & in happened three more times.

When car is at a stop car accelerates forwardhas no power when driving.

I am yet again having throttle body problems with my vehicle.in december 2012, ford issues a statement to customers tellin us to go have the throttle body cleaned, but that did not fix the problem.it put a temporary bandaide on the real problem that ford does not want to take ownership for.even after i had my vehicle serviced and reprogrammed, it still idles high and jerks.today the car would not start after a 45min nonstop hwy trip, i cut the engine off once i reached my destination for about 25 minutes, after which i tried to start the car and it failed.after 5 mins, the car started, luckily i made it home, no lights on dash!!!i found out it was the electronic throttle body the first time it wouldn't start, now after a throttle cleaning!!, i am still having all the very same issues.so unsafe and unpredictable....i am scared to drive the car yet again out of fear of being stranded with my children.

For the past several months my car has been going into "failsafe engine mode" (basically stalling) while excellerating on highway or in stop and go traffic. According to others online this is a problem that is common with a throttle body failure. I have already had the "fix" ford provided in their customer satisfaction program, however like many others this has not fixed the problem. Ford needs to stand by there products. I can not express to you how dangerous this is to be going highway speed and to have your car stall!!

Driving down the road at 50 mph and suddenly the car goes in tofail safe mode and slows to a crawl.dealer determines its the electronic throttle body.this is a life and death issue built in to this car.should be covered under the car manufacturers warranty.

Thank god we were ok

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. While driving 70 mph, an unknown warning indicator illuminated while driving and the engine stopped running. The vehicle stopped accelerating and the contact had to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle did not restart and was left on the side of the road. Mike castrucci ford (1020 oh-28, milford, oh 45150, (513) 275-1048) stated that the vehicle had a shutdown feature and it would have to be towed in for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 130,000.

At idle at an intersection with foot on the brake when the car lurched forward violently as if someone had stepped on the accelerator.luckily i was able to react quickly enough to avert hitting a passing car.the engine then felt as if it stalled and the display read "failsafe engine mode"and the wrench light illuminated.i put it in park shut it off and restarted it...functioning fine now.identical scenario happened 2 weeks prior.this is a severe safety issue and ford should recall this car for this problem.

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power. The maintenance warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle body failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Prior to the failure, the vehicle's throttle body was cleaned. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 94,494.updated 06/29/16*lj

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. The contact stated that the vehicle occasionally failed to start. The vehicle while in drive or reverse accelerates to almost 2k rpm causing a jerking motion at any time when you turn the steering wheel. Could potentially cause an accident if in traffic and the car jerks forward.

The contact owns a 2006 ford 500. While driving various speeds, the transmission warning indicator illuminated without warning. In addition, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was diagnosed as needing either a valve body or transmission replacement. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 206,865

"takata recall" when the vehicle is in motion while slowing down between 20-30mph it shifts hard. This happens when trying to pass other vehicles between 50-70 mph. The vehicle will make a bunch of thudding. When this occurs it makes the vehicles handling go out of control making it to where you swerve very hard.

Stop at a stop light engine throttled up and then stalled. Does it when air is on and took it when got recalled and fixed and now doing the same thing but cannot throttle care up to give gas without the car stalling. The throttle assembly seems to be main issue and took to ford deal and they say not cover under the recall the last time. There is something major wrong with these cars throttle assembly and ford says they are not responsible but many people with ford 500 are having the same issues due to surging while idle and engine stalling for no reason. The problem started while car air is on but seems no issues when it is off and now does it even if air is off or on.....

While the car is started but at a stop, the car is fine. When the car has the gas petal pushed down, it will not move. The car stalls out while driving.

My 2005 ford 500 goes into fail safe mode and stalls. What could be causing this problem? when traveling car just shuts down and fail safe mode comes up. This has been happening for the past two weeks. Very scary when traveling and car doesn't accelerate while in traffic.

I receives a ford advisement that a field service advisory #12n03 has been issued, i called ford they said the car is out of warranty.my car is dangerous to be on the roadnhtsa should really look at my car it is barely drivable[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Started my vehicle as regular, as i shifted into drive my car jerked and my message screen read "failsafe engine mode". I cut the car off and restarted it. The same outcome of it jerking and accelerating on it own.

Vehicle lunges at idle speeds with tachometer going from approximately 700 to 1500 rpm, generally happens in parking lots driveway and garage, and occurs in drive and reverse. First occurred sporadically but is happening with more frequency now. Car hasn`t hit anything yet but have had very close calls. Service engine or any other warning light have not come on during incidents. Lunginghappens multiple times per incident often occurring several times during a single parking attempt. With each lunge moving the car about 2 or 3 feet if you don't have your foot on brake.

Vehicle sputtering during acceleration and fail safe engine light on

Car went into failsafe engine mode and wrench appear after changing brake light switch. A year ago samething happened and i turned the car off and the message went away until i had to change the above mentioned. Now the message want go off and it will not give a code for the problem. The car will also lunge sometimes when the a/c is on. Is there a recall on the 05 ford five hundred limited for this problem? after reading some of the issues other people had theirs sound exactly like my problem and there should be a recall concerning this matter.

In 2005 ford had a recall on the 500 due to the fuel tank strap corroding and falling off causing the fuel tank to leak or fall off when the vehicle had higher mileage. This is what happen to me. When i took my vehicle to the dealer they said the recall had already been fixed. My issue is that either the fix did not work or the dealer claiming to have made the repair did not do it. I contacted ford customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. This is very dangerous and should not happen! some one could have died!

Vehicle went into "fail safe" mode in traffic. Obviously, this is not rare with fords with a cvt.http://www.gotaclassaction.com/ford-named-in-class-action-over-defects-in-the-continuously-variable-transmissions-of-the-freestyle-and-mercury-montego/

Engine idle rpm surge when stopped or during low speed driving. Responded to ford program 12n03 to fix problem. This did not fix problem. Took car back to dealer. Dealer could not verify after two days of testing (intermittent problem). Tech advisor said replacing the throttle body might fix problem. I am having throttle body replaced. Note that in 2011 i had the same problem but the dealer was unable to verify so they did nothing. When the surge happens it feels like the car will take off by itself.

As i was driving and trying to switch lanes on 35w in minneapolis the transmission just jerked and noable to go to a higher speed an accelerate accordingly causing vehicle behind mine to almost hit meat aproxi.65-70 miles . The driver was able to avoid hitting me from behind.we were lucky that did not occur other ways it could have created a pile up on the freeway. I have reported this situation to ford dealers butno available response.later on i went to a private car service in my town ofmn and was explained that ford knows about this problem,it appears that the transmission housing bends up with increased temperature and causes this failure. I have noticed that this situation does not occur during winter months. It is a safety concern and ford has not responded to this issue, i purchased this vehicle 4 -5 years ago, but not wanting to sell it to avoid someone else to have an accident specifically if children are involved. The repair is expensive and i have driven other fordand mercury of about same years and find out exact problems. Ford should be responsible and pay or help pay for the cost of fixing please help solve this situation.

When moving from a standstill i noticed the the automation on my 2005 ford 500 was not changing up to the next gear .i looked at the dashboard and noticed the wrench light was on and at around 25 mile an hour the rpm was around 3500. In addition the car was laboring but when it reached around 40mph it was if whatever was keeping it in low gear just freed up. The car jerked forward and then all was ok.the wrench light is still on and the car repeats this dangerous even teach time i move from a stopped position. It is a very scary event. I will take it to a dealer tomorrow.

Awd malfunction error message comes up,and the traction control light is on randomly.the vehicle during rain and snow is not able to take advantage of its features due to malfunction.

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. While driving 40 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The failure mileage was 70,000. The vin was unavailable.

Car lurches/jerks while in drive and reverse forward also when switching gears even with your foot on the brake. While driving car drops gears with foot on the gas. Drastic decrease in acceleration. Car has dropped gears and acceleration while turning at intersections on city streetsalso on highway. This problem has also caused me to almost have accidents or cause property damage. Car does this at speeds from 0-55 miles per hour.

When the car is at cruising speeds, especaily on the highway the transmission will switch into nuetral suddenly and has to be restarted to re-engage drive, leaving the car behind you very likly to kill you.

I would like to report a transmission problem with my carthere was know warning at all. It made a load noise and it just stopped on me going down the road on a busy highway and i had to have it towed. Could you please do a investigation on this car. It is a ford 500 se 2005 with only 68,000 miles. I was told my transmission was bad.

Own a 2005 ford 500. Throttle body had to be replaced at 76000 miles, 1000 miles over our extended warranty. We asked the dealer if this was a known issue and were told that they had no complaints about the throttle body on the ford 500. Now i'm hearing that ford is being investigated for throttle body issues on different models of cars but the ford 500 was not part of the investigation.

The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 230,000. The current mileage was 260,000.

Vehicle downshifts very hard when braking or when trying to pass someone and you give it gas and it downshifts to accelerate it's like the vehicle goes into neutral. I was doing 70mph with someone on my rear end on i-77n and when i tried to speed up to get out of his way car shifted really hard to where i thought something broke and started to slow down quickly. Since i had the cruise control on the car shot up to 7000 rpm. So i hit the break to shut off cruise control all the while this driver behind me was about to get into my rear end i quickly moved into the right lane then over to the birm. At about 35mph the transmission engaged again and i immediately drove the car home. I took it to the ford dealership and they recommended a valve body replacement @$3000. I have read hundreds of blogs on this topic and hundreds of ford 500 owners says the rebuild repair does not fix the problem and they're just out $3k or even more and ford refuses to recall them and fix the cars

Traveling at 35 mph, not far from my daughters house the gas accelerates, when i brake car will not slow down, braking harder something pops, throwing car to the right i cannot control car at all hit a tree head on police say at 45 mph. I remember ems and police trying to get me out but the pain was so severe when i would try to raise up, they had to use a special board to remove me from car. At hospital it's confirmed that i have a broken sternum and whiplash neck and back injuries. After wreck my daughter googles this car only to find out that there are over 4,000 complaints against ford,i purchased this car (08-18-13) with 89,000 miles on it! from a one owner she bought it new in 2005. I only had car 2 weeks:its in tip top shape i had reason to know anything was wrong with it! reviews says these problems start from 75,000 miles up (this car is a death trap) ford knows there's a problem! i later learned ford agreed to clean throttle for car owners for up 10years why would ford do that if something wasn't wrong? and how is a 2nd or 3rd,,, owner supposed to know! now i have ongoing doctors visits and so much pain i cant sleep! its so unbareable.i have to sleep in a chair straight up becausei cant get up on my own and other daily needs i cant do and the nightmares of driving down the road being in control to all of a sudden wham out of nowhere this car is driving on its own the gas completely accelerated, brakes cant stop it because its accelerated then loosing control of steering when brakes popped. Someone please explain why ford is allowed to leave this car on the rd?

The vehicle while in drive or reverse accelerates to almost 2k rpm causing a jerking motion at any time when you turn the steering wheel. Could potentially cause an accident if in traffic and the car jerks forward.

Over the last two years, the power steering on this vehicle has failed numerous times, resulting in the steering wheel being extremely difficult to move. We have taken the car to the local ford repair shop (rye, ny) several times. Each time, the steering problem would be fixed for a few days or so and then return. We recently tried to trade in the vehicle to a ford dealership, who has refused to take it. I find this decision very telling. Ford refuses to buy back its own products since it knows the issues associated with them. Very disappointed in this company's product and behavior. This steering problem is extremely serious.

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. The contact was unaware that the front and rear suspension were unstable. The police ticketed the contact for driving the vehicle after the rear of it swayed back and forth, which made it look unsafe. The vehicle was cautiously driven to an independent mechanic who placed the vehicle on a lift and diagnosed that the front driver and rear passenger wheel wells failed to function properly, causing the suspension to fail. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 230,000.

Vehicle door handles freeze in temperatures below approximately 25 degrees fahrenheit. At which point after you open the door it will no longer close. If you slam the door hard enough it will close but potentially will cause damage to striker in door.

When it rains, water seeps into the door frames of all doors.when doors are opened, water drains out from the rubber guard at the bottom of the door.

I've had this vehicle since february 2016 every time it gets to cold both driver and passenger latches get frozen doors won't close. Witch can cause serious danger if door decides to open while driving .

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. The contact stated that the front driver side interior door handle failed to latch closed. The failure only occurred during frigid temperatures. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The door handle was sprayed with an unknown solution and was repaired multiple times at various garages. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000. Updated 03/04/15*ljthe consumer stated the latch mechanism was replaced at a cost of $150. Updated 04/02/15

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. When the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for routine maintenance, it was discovered that the entire subframe was severely rusted. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.

While driving i experianced sluggish handling and the steering wheel changed orientation. There was an audible bang and a dragging sound from the rear of the vehicle. The right rear lower suspension control arm inner mounting bracket broke away from the subframe (due to corrosion) and allowed the right rear wheel to skew out of alignment

I had a new compressor and expansion valve, evacuate and recharge compressor oil and conditioner includes r134 a on august 13, 2010.i paid $960.79.i went back to the same company on june 20, 2012because my air conditioner no longer worked.they said i needed the same replacement plus a new condenser which totaled $1,140.67.i purchased this car in january 2006 with approx. 7,000 miles.

The car shakes and makes lots of noise. Going up hill is the worstfeels like the car is putting along.

My door holds water everytime it rains. Is there something we can do to stop this?

My car wouldn't pick up speed then i receive a sudden thrust causing it to have a small jerk then takes off. Recently its been showing a ranch light know for throttle body issues code p2111 and p2104. This causes my car to stall in the middle of traffic especially on the highway which is a huge concern.

Past recall on door latches.work was done by previous owner.problem still persists - have to drive car holding door shut with hand.ford said nothing more they can or will do.local ford dealership wont do anything either.problem has been going on for the past 3 winters when it gets really cold.

Door latch recall identified by ford #36840. Doors latches freeze and will not shut and open suddenly. Car has been in shop at ford dealership 5-6 times to address and fix this issue related to a recall. The recall kit identified to fix this problem was perfromed and never worked. Doors still open and wont shut. Car was left there overnight at ford and froze for them today and would not shut. All fixes and troubleshooting they have done or approved did not fixt the original recall problem. This is a major safety issue. The fix to fix this problem is false and saftety is highly at risk with potential for kids to fall out of car!! this is a joke that their solution to a recall did not even fix it. I am no being told byford that i have to pay to have all the latches replaced when their recall fix didnot solve their own issue. Ford has even acknodwleged the fix to solve the problem.....consumer safety is at risk and ford did not care!!!! what happens when someone falls out and gets severly injured or killed?

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning, went into operation safe mode, and decelerated. In addition, the vehicle accelerated when parking the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed as needing the throttle body replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 140,000.

This has been an issue in other ford models. Is there a recall? there needs to be a recall before i get run over by other vehicles when my engine stalls while trying to accelerate! it is extremely dangerous to enter or exit highways and beltways when one cannot be sure the car engine will remain operational, power steering guidance will remain available and another vehicle will not be able to avoid running into me. Very dangerous to everyone on the highway. I personally clean the throttle and this is still happening.

The contact owns a 2005 ford 500. While driving 25 mph, the throttle body of the vehicle malfunctioned. The error message on the vehicle displayed "failed safe mode". The vehicle was taken to be repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 173,794.

Car surges forward at lower speeds.now beginning to happen at higher speeds.

This morning when i started my 2005 ford 500 it surged in rpm's and went into "failsafe engine mode". So turned the car off and waited a couple minutes started it again and it started fine.

While driving through parking lots at low speed, engine would die.this happened numerous times.after getting up to 40 mph it died again and again in heavy traffic.i have had the car in at the dealership every since it was purchased for different speed control issues, hesitation, surging at idle speeds, and the most recent issue.many times we were told that they could not find any problems, but the issues kept occurring.eventually we were told the hesitation problem was fixed but our mpg dropped considerably.next was the surge.in parking lots the surge was so bad with pedestrians and other cars, i had to drive with two feet.in 2010 the surge problems were fixed, only to return much worse in 2012.now the latest problem we took the car to an independent mechanic and we have been told that the throttle body must be replaced and all these issues have been related to the throttle body.while at the dealership none of these problems were recognized by the onboard computer.all these problems have resulted in extremely dangerous situations; hesitation while merging in traffic, surging while driving with pedestrians, and dying in heavy traffic.

I was driving in my 2005 ford 500 with 84,000 miles on it, down a busy highway in the left lane on sept. 30, 2012, and all of a sudden my car would no longer accelerate. The speed continued to decrease and i had a car directly behind me and a car directly to the right of me, so i could not immediately pull over to the shoulder of the highway. I immediately turned on my hazard lights, but because my car slowed down so suddenly on the busy highway, the car behind me almost rear-ended me, and because there was a significant amount of traffic in both lanes, it was almost impossible to get over to the shoulder. Luckily, i eventually made it to the shoulder. Several warning lights came on when i finally stopped the car, and then i turned it off. I turned it on several minutes later, and the car drove normally for the rest of theway home (about 1 hour). I took it into the ford dealership and they told me i needed to replace the throttle body. They also told me that this was a common problem with this make and model of car.in the past, my vehicle has surged forward when i'm parked, when i barely lift my foot off the brake. It has done the same in reverse. I took it into a local mechanic who could not figure out the problem, and i just tried to be careful about not following other cars too closely. But i now believe that surging was related to the throttle body issues. Also, about three weeks before this incident on sept. 30, my car died while stopped at a red light in a busy intersection. It was very hot that day, and i just thought the car was overheated. However, i now believe that incident is related to the throttle body issue as well. I think that this problem has resulted in extremely dangerous situations, and could have very easily caused me to get into an accident and potentially suffer injuries on multiple occasions, but especially the incident on sept. 30.

Well i took it to midas they said throttle pedal was bad sk i replaced it and the throttle body well it still does the same thing ..

The car wants to accelerate on its own whenever i go from park to drive. This also happens while putting car in reverse. This is very dangerous and makes me very nervous.
