The brake caliper(s)locked causing damage to the rotors, calipers, pads and abs sensors. There was a recall from workhorse / navistar and this vehicle was serviced in 2010 at approximately 3,500 miles. I have contacted workhorse/navistar regarding the brake issue however they stated that the recall work was previously done and as such they would not cover the work to be done again.my issue is that this rv has had a second brake system failure wit less than 3,000 miles since the recall work was performed and upon researching this issue with other owners and rv repair shops i learned that this is an ongoing repetitive failure with these braking systems and as such i feel workhorse/navistar should be held accountable to find a fix for the defect and cover the cost to repair the brakes regardless of the recalldone in 2005 as they have not corrected the problem but instead sold the workhorse chassis business to amp holding inc.

Caliper/brake lock up and excessive heat/burning/smoking (abs sensors burned out due to heat). Manufacturer (workhorse) has aparently known about it for years, delaying remedy parts, and refused to complete "temporary" fix on all 4 wheels after a breakdown on affected vehicle. This causes multiple breakdowns and potentially dangerous situations to both occupants and others around. We were "authorized" for repair on only 2 wheels. Due to break down trip had to be canceled.rv was left for repairs at an authorized dealer 300 miles from our home. We went back to pick it up 1 month later and after 50miles, a third brake locked up causing motorhome to start swaying side to side and placed excessive pull on engine trying to get to safety. Brakes will lock up and stay locked up or drag with no notice. We had to retun rv to repair shop again for more "authorization" prior to any repair, causing another trip cancelation. This is over 300 miles from our home causing further undue hardship. We were told it will be "doubtfull" they will authorize 4th wheel repair forcing us again to abandon driving or using vehicle until proper parts are available. We are currently awaiting a response from workhorse.

The contact owns a 2005 fleetwood pace arrow rv with a workhorse chassis w22.while driving up a hill at 60 mph, the rv suddenly stopped without warning.the contact smelled something burning and pulled the vehicle over to the shoulder.the abs indicator illuminated on the instrument panel.he waited 30 minutes for the chassis to cool down before driving to the dealer.the dealer stated that the abs sensor was melted and they replaced all the calipers, rotors, and brake pads at the cost of $5,000.the dealer did not use high quality parts and the contact is concerned that the failure could recur.the manufacturer is aware of the failure, but has not provided higher quality parts to permanently correct the failure.the manufacturer is currently not accepting phone calls.the failure mileage was 6,000 and current mileage was 7,500.
The contact owns a 2005 fleetwood pace arrow motor home. While driving 65 mph when he depressed the brake pedal in order to slow the vehicle down it extended to the floor. He had to use the jake brake and the emergency brake quickly to stop.the brakes had gotten hot and smells as if they were burning.after the brake cool down he drove to the mechanic shop who stated the left rear caliper fail causing the sensor to over heat.he was told the caliper will be replaced due to a recall but not the sensor. He has to pay for the repairs on the sensor. The manufacturer was contacted who informed him to take the vehicle to a dealer for the replacement of the caliper that was on recall but not the sensor. The failure mileage was 20,000.
While in transit the dining room slide fails and the slide will slide out due to an electrical brake failure. Additionally, the slide is pulled out during transit when hit by cross winds. The slide will then slide out from the body of the coach anywhere from one to eight inches. This has been reported to fleetwood enterprises on several occasions beginning in january 2006 and most recently in january 2007. There have been a total of four failures and three motors replaced in a 12 month period. The coach has been in service for the above related problems for approximatelysix months whereby the defect still exists. This ultimately results in a major mechanical and structural failure. It is also the only place in which safety restraints are installed. Thereby posing a significant health and safety risk to the passengers of the vehicle and other drivers and vehicles on the country's highways. After numerous failures and in talking with other owners who have experienced the same problem, this problem must be addressed. During my investigation of other fleetwood products, fleetwood has installed slide locks on other models to prevent the slide from releasing during transit or unexpectedly.
Se-gi products inc, double pained windows "fogging".05 37c fleetwood pace arrow. Purchased new in 2005 and windows started "fogging"within two years. Contacted fleetwood enterprises and manufacture of windows, we-gi products inc in norco ca. And was denied any consideration due to twelve month warranty time frames.there is restricted vision of both drivers side and passenger side rear view mirrors from drivers seat due to fogging. All other side viewing windows are "fogging" and making visibility a safety concern also.have moved drivers side rear view mirror ten inches towards the back of the vehicle to enable visibility without having to view through defected window and removed inner pane on passenger side for same reason.
