Took the motor home for repair of the frame due to the floor sagging on 11/2006. At the time they welded the frame to support the floor.then , there was a rear axle noise ,and i took it in to get repaired under warranty on 6/2007.they informedat me that time that the frame had been extended.they told me to contact therv dealer to have them check it.on 7/5/2007 i received a phone call from themford dealers service manager saying that he received a bill fromford motor company for the axle repair, also, telling me that they were not responsible due to the alteration of the frame.they told me the repairs cost over $4,000.00.i called ford motor company, and they told me when they soldthe frame to rv manufacturers.they wereinformed that any modifications done to the frames or chassis voided the warranty.iwasaware because of the statement that ford motor company told me that i no longer had a warranty on this coach. I have contacted the dealer and ford motor company not fleetwood at this time, and i was waiting for a reply. So here i am, help! help,any help you couldgive me wouild be greatly appreciated.

The contact owns a 2006 fleetwood flair rv. While braking from 45 mph, the brakes would not engage. The contact had previously received notification of nhtsa recall campaign id number: 09v198000 (service brakes, air) and took the vehicle to the dealer for repairs. The dealer advised the brakes were not defective enough for repairs. The cylinders were lubricated by the dealer yet no further repairs were made to the vehicle. The current and failure mileages were 13,000.

The contact owns a 2006 fleetwood flair. The contact stated that while driving 10 mph and entering an intersection, the welds between the hitch receiver box and the frame broke apart. The contact was towing another vehicle during the failure and as a result, the vehicle being towed detached and rolled across the roadway before crashing. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was driven home and was not taken to have the failure diagnosed. The manufacturer was not notified because they were no longer in business. The failure mileage was 7,000.
