I own a 2002 fleetwood fiesta class a motorhome that rides on a ford chassis. Twice now when driving over rough roads in the california coast, i have come close to loosing control of the vehicle do to steering shimmy. This vehicle has been to the dealer where purchased and three ford dealerships. They all say there is nothing wrong with the vehicle and haven't heard of such a complaint before. Since then i have spoken to other rv owners and f450 & f550 truck owners who are experiencing the same. Each receive the same response from dealerships. I find it strange that ford said that there are no issues with this vehicle but yet, article no. 00-21-9 from the ford motor company states that 1999-2001 f-53 motorhome chassis experience suspension-vibration/shake felt in steering wheel or seat (45-75) mph. They list a complete service procedure that no dealer has ever heard of nor will they direct the customer. They just continue to put me off and say everything is normal. This vehicle is unsafe and was manufactured in 2001.
The supports under the roof are coming apart and showing through . It will cost over $2000 to fix it.
